Places to stay in Lamphey
A truly unique place to stay. The Jetstar is a first class plane that would have carried up to nine passengers. Built in the seventies it retains most of the original features including a lit up bar area. It appears to have crash landed and on the back is a double bedroom in the style of a first class ships cabin. There is a loo and cold water basin on board the plane and the cockpit has an xbox with some flight games. There is a well equipped shower block on site with hot showers and fridges
The cabin consists of a double bed, there is a single bed behind the cockpit but this is only 5'7" or 170 cm which is fine for a lot of adults but not all. There is also a leather sofa on the plane which is 6'4". It may well be suited more for a couple or two adults and two children. There is a loo on board and cold water only sink for brushing teeth etc. The cabin and the cockpit are powered by mains electricity however the fuselage has the planes original lighting and is powered by car batteries and should be used economically. However there is a double plug with usb ports which lamps can be plugged in. A blue tooth compatible CD and radio is mounted in the main fuselage .To the rear of the aircraft is a separate kitchenette. Comprising:- gas hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave.
South Pembrokeshire is popular in holiday seasons as it has so many great sandy beaches and clear sea. This campsite is away from the crowds, in a quiet rural area with fields, farms and country houses. It's easily accessed by a lane or two from the road to Tenby. South Pembrokeshire is popular for visitors and holiday makers, in season the towns can be busy but our site is like a retreat. Lots to do for children, activites and adventure theme parks are close by. Great for history buffs with Castles and historical places of interest dotted around. If you like hiking, the Wales Coast Path offers great walks and views.
  • Extremely unique place to stay, it's glamping with a twist! It's a nice ground with multiple unique 'huts' The Jetstar is the most authentic in our eyes, with original interior still intact. We imagine it would be even better in the summer, you could have a party there too!

  • We visited for my son's birthday, he's plane mad so this seemed like a great idea. It did not disappoint, we all loved the Jetstar and the quirkyness of the site in general. He's already asking when we can return! Also, Wolf was incredibly friendly and helpful.

  • Awesome place. Great experience. Next time we would like to stay in the Airbus. Very clean and tidy.

  • Great place to stay 👍

  • Our experience - A truly amazing stay. We were shown around the whole campsite, which was lovely. Host added lots of small touches, like leaving us an umbrella when it rained, and showing us the different camping opportunities available at the site. 10/10 stay. Extremely cool. Brilliant for anyone who likes a unique stay or likes planes. What to expect - Xbox In the cockpit. There were also cards, games, DVDs and Xbox games at the jet star to enjoy. It was amazing to watch Goldfinger, in gold fingers plane! The location isn’t too far from Saundersfoot and a local Tesco (a short drive). The Jetstar has an indoor toilet, and an attached kitchen facilities. There are showers on site and a hairdryer. There is one double bed, one single bed and a small sofa. Steps to access the Jetstar, and some internal steps. A very quiet campsite, with lots of pretty bird sounds especially in the morning. If you are torn between which of the camping opportunities to go for, I’d say Looking at the different camping opportunities I think the Jetstar was the coolest. However, I definitely want to try the UFO In the future. We stayed here in January. If going in January I’d recommend bringing wellies (or waterproof shoes) as the grass was quite wet due to the weather, and plenty of layers (however there are heaters inside the Jet Star). An honestly amazing stay which I’d recommend to everyone I know.

  • This Jet Star II experience is a lasting memory, with an Xbox 360 fitted to play in the cockpit, the travel games available, the array of CDs to play and DVDs. So bring your DVDs or music CDs if you fancy your own choice. There is a fridge, toaster and microwave, shower facilities and a kitchenette available too.

  • This is truly the best place the location is incredible for going out in the day and coming back to the lovely warm fire and hot tub or just stay in enjoying the lovely scenery around the pod. There was a variety of games to keep us entertained at all times. 100% recommend and will be coming back.

  • Had such a fantastic weekend at Ambers place! Very cosy and amazing area for walking!! Would 100% recommend!

    Stacey2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We went for a 30th Birthday and it was lovely! Amber was a lovely host and easily contactable she showed us everything before she left, made sure we was happy, and made it known she was available 24/7 if anything happened! The pod was stunning, and the views are incredible! It is private and you have the hot tub and kitchen to yourselves which was great for us! I would highly recommend, such a lovely place for such a great price you can’t beat it! I would stay again!

    Casey2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really special place to get away from it all. The rural location of the dome, set in a private garden, with hot tub and sauna, was just magical. All the little touches - wood burning fire, blankets, games, flowers, fully equipped kitchen, fairy lights - made this a warm, cosy little holiday. Our boys (15 and 12) happily went without their gadgets for two whole days and had the best time.

    Chris2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The dome was a fantastic place to stay. Huge size, great views, nice king size bed with an infrared sauna and an outdoor hot tub to boot. Our stay was made extra special by Virginia who went out of her way to ensure that our return to the dome as a newly engaged couple was unforgettable. Highly recommend... you will not be disappointed.

    Chris2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We have just spent a long weekend at the dome for my friends hen do. The farm and it’s surrounding setting is beautiful and it was so lovely to have our own garden, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and bathroom/sauna building to ourselves, the amenities were all excellent. Amber was an amazing host and helped us to get the fire in the dome going and ensured we could relight it to keep toasty warm the following day, she also helped out when one of our party had a flat tyre before we left! Everyone at the farm was super friendly and gave us plenty of help with regards to good local walks and places to visit. We can’t recommend the dome and Amber enough and would all love to come back for another visit as we felt so welcome.

    Sarah2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

  • Had a great weekend at the glamping dome! Beds comfy and kitchen and bathroom facilities excellent for a weekend break. Definitely a comfier camping-style experience. Booked the dome for a friend’s hen weekend. Got a lovely greeting on arrival from the owners of the farm. It was very private. Hot tub and sauna were great additions. Would definitely book again!

  • An absolutely stunning little retreat in Wales. It felt ever so special driving up to the Castle and being greeted by peacocks roaming around before meeting the warm and welcoming Prue. The room was gorgeous and everything we needed was there and all super clean. Highly recommend for a quiet retreat away from it all.

    Tanya2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time! Getting to stay in a castle and have such lovely hosts (Prue and Steve), we couldn't have asked for anymore!

    David2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The castle was the perfect mini break. Prue is an amazing host who gave us so much information on the local area. Breakfast was fantastic. Can't recommend enough.

  • Rich in history, the castle is set in a charming countryside setting. Prue and Steve are wonderful hosts and are very welcoming. The natural environment makes for a relaxing and quiet stay.

  • A great location, fantastic accommodation, an amazing garden and all made better by two lovely hosts. Thank you both.

    Sarah2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay!!! Such a cool experience to stay in a castle, it was beautiful.

    Heidi2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place at a great value. The public gardens are beautiful and well taken care of. No complaints. The place is even complete with a wonderfully friendly cat and dog that roam the castle and grounds.

    Kevin2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The tranquility and peacefulness is incredible. I sat sketching in the rosegarden and wandered around on my own for a couple of hours, while my partner was resting upstairs and it was very, very lovely. It's not just a castle, it's a warm and welcoming home and that is what makes it even more special. Prue and her husband (must) work very hard but manage to make it look and feel effortless. Loved that the gardens are very well kept, but not overly 'tamed'.

  • What an amazing stay! A wonderful little pod - we will definitely be back and we have recommended highly to family and friends. Waking up to otters, herons, owls and swans! It is so peaceful. The pod is immaculately clean and a wonderful little place to stay. We didn’t want to leave.

    Lynsey2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay. Something a bit different. Great base to see Pembrokeshire or just to hang out.

    Kevin2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this pod. It was like a luxury hotel room in a pod. Would definitely recommend it.

    Catherine2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay in the Haven Pod. The marina office were super helpful for local information and an easy check-in, the toilets were always very clean and they are very near to the pod. We hired bikes from the marina at £15 for the day each and there is a great 9 mile cycle route to Haverfordwest that you can take. The pod was very clean and comfortable with good amenities. We weren't able to eat at the restaurant at the marina but had a great cooked breakfast from the cafe underneath! Always a parking space (free). Was a good base for exploring, had a lovely time.

    Talulla2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The haven pod is a really fantastic place to stay... so cute and full of great details too! My two kids and I got along with the space in the pod. But I could imagine, that it suits best for not more than 2 people. Especially during rainy days :-)

A wonderful large family holiday home with sweeping sea views. Set in an idyllic location in the national park, a short walk from the garden gives you direct access to the glorious sandy beach. This house is modern, spacious and newly renovated to a high standard throughout. Overlooking Freshwater East beach & surrounded by miles of coastal paths, it is a perfect base to explore the area. Local attractions such as Tenby are less than a 10 minute drive. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome.
Your Travel Safety: During this uncertain period we are making every effort to follow current guidelines. As a precaution rather than using an external company, all laundry will now be laundered at the property by our local cleaner who takes pride in preparing it to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene for your stay. Extra cleaning time will be allocated using disinfectant where appropriate. As a suggestion Tesco home delivery from nearby Pembroke Dock is a conviennent stress free alternative to shopping in store. Pembrokeshire remains a beautiful, uncrowded location, with plenty of fresh air and wild beaches to explore, and we hope you enjoy your visit to this charming unspoiled location. Description: A wonderful modern detached house ideal for families to reset, reflect, enjoy the scenery and beautiful surroundings. The dinning room and kitchen are perfect for large families and groups who want some independence. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, oven, washing machine, large fridge and freezer. With a pub and restaurant as well as the beach and coastal path all within walking distance it is a perfect holiday retreat!
Excellent proximity to all local attractions - Tenby (eating, beaches), freshwater west (walking-surfing), stackpole & bosheston (lily ponds), saundersfoot, Oakwood and Heatherton amusement parks. Located in Freshwater East, the beach is wide, sandy & dog friendly, with a backcloth of sand dunes. In summer it is a veritable sun trap and the waves are gentle and toddler-friendly when the weather is calm. The beach is a 2-3 minute walk through the garden path and down through the sand dunes. Freshwater East is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the 180-mile long coastal footpath passes through, providing the opportunity of exhilarating walks west towards St Govans Head and beyond and east to historic Manorbier, with its magnificent castle, and Tenby with its spectacular beaches, historic town walls and panoramic vistas. The local village pub is 1 minute walk from the house, serving local ales and pub food. Barafundle bay is a very popular beach to visit - from stackpole (5mins drive from house) where there is a small cafe and the walk along the coastal path to the beach takes 10 minutes. Alternatively walking from the house take the coastal path from Trewent point, the walk will take approximately 1 hr. Tenby & Saundersfoot are popular small towns approx 15mins away with nice places to eat & beaches. Manor wildlife park, Heatherton & Oakwood are popular places to visit for alternative entertainment. Nearby Lamphey Court Hotel & Spa serve good food and have a nice spa, perfect if the weather is not so good! If you like sea food there is an excellent small shop on Tenby harbour selling fresh fish & lobster. My young family & I really enjoy spending time on freshwater east beach & exploring the sand dunes.

  • This is a lovely house in an excellent position overlooking the beach. The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything you would expect and everything you need is there. There are also some thoughtful extras that you might not expect. It is a short walk down a path to the fantastic sandy beach. The kitchen has everything you need but if , like us, you don't fancy cooking , there is a quiet pub with very friendly hosts literally 30 yards away and several other local places recommended by Richard, the host. We'll definitely be going again if we can find an opening in their calendar. I can understand why it's a very popular house.

  • Quirky little place, very basic but warm even in the wind and rain. The log burner seen in the photos is not there anymore but the electric radiator was more than enough to keep us cosy. Kettle and small fridge worked well too. We brought our own gas cooker which we used on the porch. David was very helpful with local tips and replied messages very promptly. 10 minute drive to Pembroke, half an hour to Bluestone.

  • We had a lovely weekend here. Sparkling clean and in a great location to visit the local beauty spots.

  • We stayed here for a weekend and had a lovely time. The flat is spacious for 2 people and was sparkling clean. Kitchen had all the utensils we needed. If you’re up for a challenge, we walked from the flat to Tenby on the costal path and it was beautiful. The walk was around 20km and took us 6 hours including an hour stop off at Manorbier for lunch!

  • Beautiful Apartment in a very quiet and peaceful area. Freshwater East is 5 minutes drive and is so unspoilt. The apartment itself is perfect, clean, stylish and has everything you need for a weekend break or a week’s holiday. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

  • We loved our stay! The flat was perfectly as described (if not better). We loved the location as it gave us easy access to all that Pembrokeshire offered. The flat was very tidy and well presented. We would happily stay again and recommend it to future potential guests. Thank you for having us! :)

  • Fabulous little place in pembroke dock, nice clean room. Everything in it which you could wish for able to cook meals comfortably and with ease. Me and my partner have both said it is the best air bnb we have stayed in. Only issue we found was that if you like to walk to range of pubs or cafes it's half an hour or 5 minutes taxi to pembroke (very affordable). If we are ever over this way again we would definitely stay again.

  • We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time in Manorbier. Katherine’s little eco cabin is brilliant; plenty big enough for two and with everything we needed. The little touches and provisions - home made bread, real coffee etc. made it even better. Katherine is a very welcoming host with lots of useful tips on where to visit in the area. It’s a short driving distance to nearby Pembroke and Tenby, and if you don’t want to drive out it’s walking distance from a lovely cafe, a well stocked shop and a great pub! We will definitely come back to stay here again.

It is a 10 minute walk to the beach & we had several great walks along the Pembrokeshire coast. The local beach also appeared to be a haven for surfers. • Highly recommend a visit here. Donna and her husband are fantastic hosts. The pod is very comfortable. Has all the amenities you need. We enjoyed the hot tub. Melvin the alpaca is very friendly and didn’t mind us sharing his field. Haha. It was my partners birthday and donna made him some cakes. I thought that was such a lovely touch. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay

    Katie2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing stay on Greenfield's farm, just one night but we had an amazing time seeing all the animals and talking to Donna. Staying in a wooden hut in a field with an alpaca named Mel made our holiday! Hosts couldn't be nicer, huts so cozy and clean with lots of little thoughtful touches. Would love to come back here in the summer and help out on the farm!

    lisa2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Just perfect in every way. Loved it so much that, even before we stayed, we booked it all out for a week in the Summer. Now I have extremely excited children and friends. Donna and Rob were great hosts and made us very welcome.

    Lucy2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here in February the day after Storm Dennis and I was anxious to say the least and needn’t have been, there was no evidence of the previous days storms. The huts were immaculately clean with lovely welcoming touches. I was surprised how well they fitted 3 adults, a child and 2 (smallish) dogs. We didn’t use the outside kitchen or hot tub but that was because it was just too cold for me and this was my first attempt of glamping (maybe I should have started in the warmer months), but the facilities were great. The hut was really cosy, and there were little heaters and plenty of blankets. We only used the heater to take the chill off initially after that we didn’t need it, as it was warm enough. The novelty of sharing the field with Melvin the alpaca made my stay, made me smile every time I saw him. Solar power banks were available, which allowed us to charge our iPad allowing us to cuddle up as a family and watch a movie in a cold winter evening.

    Karen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first stay as a family of 3. The cabin was spacious and cosy. It was also surprisingly warm but a heater is also supplied if you need a little extra warmth. We had a look at some of the animals on the farm and loved meeting Melvin the alpaca. We just happened to attend when storm Dennis had hit so the weather wasn’t the best. Would definitely look to return in the summer when hopefully we’ll have better weather. • We've just had a lovely stay in the shepherds hut. Lovely location with lots of different animals and Melvin the Alpaca who kept us company in the field. Close to some lovely coastal walks and Pembroke town. Even in stormy weather we were warm in the hut and thoroughly enjoyed. Would recommend!

Guests have exclusive use of a downstairs bathroom and sitting room but are also welcome to enjoy the rest of the house , large, private garden and patio with bbq area. The village is small but has lovely amenities including an artisan bakery, spa, pub with good food and train station.

  • This place was absolutely breath taking! I took my young baby and my dog and despite the weather being terrible the cottage made it the perfect place to get cosy and just relax with the family. I definitely will be returning even if it’s for a romantic getaway which is perfect for couples. I give this 4/5 accuracy as the photos and description did not do this place justice it was even more than I expected! The hosts were amazing, the hospitality was amazing and the place overall was amazing! We had home made welsh cake upon arrival and hosts were sure to call in to check everything was fine for us. • This was the first time we’ve used Airbnb and we were a little apprehensive. The chalet was perfect, our two year old loved his little holiday house. Spotlessly clean, and everything you could need. Sandra was always a message or call away and couldn’t have been more welcoming. We were down for a wedding but will definitely be back when the weather is a little less wet and windy to take advantage of the beautiful location! Thanks again

  • The flat was very cute and stylish and very well equipped. It has a very homely feel and you can tell the host take a very good care of their guests. They really helped us during our stay, we are very thankful. The only comment I have is on the lack of heating in the flat apart from small travel radiators and not the best state of the building in itself.

    Nikolina2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jess was very quick to reply and the flat is a great little place to stay and easy to get to other areas that you would like to see and plenty of parking and easy check in/out!

Dovecote Cottage is a charming, two bedroomed, former barn, in the rural village of Cosheston nr Pembroke. The open plan living/dining area features exposed stone walls, wooden beams salvaged from the original barn, and a wood burning stove. The kitchen includes an electric oven & hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher & washer/dryer. High Speed Wi-Fi is available throughout. Located just 20 mins drive from Tenby, only 3 miles from Pembroke Dock & the Irish Ferry. Children & Dogs Welcome.
Comfortably accommodates four, two in the main bedroom (double bed) and two in the second bedroom fitted with bunk beds. Whilst the bunks are best suited to children, they are full size and can sleep two adults comfortably. (All bed linens and towels are supplied. For stays of 2 weeks of more, bed linen and towels will be changed on a weekly basis.) The cottage is on one level, with one small step between the dining & living area. During the cooler months we provide a starter pack of logs, kindling and fire lighters for the wood burning stove, and for a small additional charge we can keep you stocked up during your stay. On arrival you will find a reviving welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and local cakes.
Cosheston is a picturesque rural village with a lovely village pub and many great walks from the doorstep of the cottage. The village pub called The Brewery Inn is just a stone's throw from Dovecote Cottage and serves great local food, however it doesn't have many tables and gets booked up well in advance especially in the school holidays. If you wish to eat there during your stay we recommend that you book ahead of time.
  • Such a wonderful little cottage and Sue adds so many personal and thoughtful touches that made our stay fantastic, from cake on arrival, supplies for the log burner, blankets on every bed and a pint of milk in the fridge. The cottage had every amenity we could have wanted, with lots of special touches included. We wanted for nothing during our short stay. The place was spotless and had some of the most comfortable mattresses and bedding we've experienced in an Airbnb. Lots of wood was provided for the fire and it kept us perfectly toasty. It's located in a lovely, quiet little village - we are already thinking about staying again!

This tiny holiday let is compact yet light and airy and is the perfect place to relax after a busy day taking in the stunning scenery around the village. The wooden beams and whitewashed walls fill the space with character and although there is no mistaking Little Whitewell's history, the bright accessories, modern shower room and comfortable bed make a stay here a delight for any traveller in 2020.
The double bed is situated on a mezzanine level, the only access being a steep ladder which at the top is a low ceiling. The bed is a little awkward to get on to. (Please bear this in mind when booking.)
Bosherston is a beautiful village on the South Pembrokeshire coast. Little Whitewell is situated near the Bosherston Church and is a stones throw away from the Lily Ponds. Broad Haven South and St Govans are both with in a 20 minute walk. A short drive away is the popular surfing beach Freshwater West, the award winning Barafundle Bay, Pembroke Castle and a multitude of other must see places.
  • Our second stay at Little Whitewell. Just as lovely as the first time.

  • Beautiful Airbnb with beautiful touches. Great location within walking distance to Lilly ponds and pubs. Delicious welcome hamper and hosts easily contactable for more information. Enough space to cook a nice meal and relax on the sofa with a glass of wine. An ideal place for a cosy weekend away.

  • A perfect and relaxing stay. Everything was sparkling clean and the thoughtful touches made it feel so friendly. From the breakfast basket to the guide books it was extremely personal. The bed was comfortable, and the raised aspect of it meant it was really cosy. The location couldn’t have been better, right by the beach and just a stone’s throw from Bosherston Lily Ponds. I needed a place to stay in the middle of a house move and to spend time writing for my masters degree and this was just perfection, will most definitely be back again in the summer with my partner who is beyond jealous from the photos!

  • We had a lovely stay as Kate’s place. As stated in the description, it is a small space, but perfectly formed and the fresh eggs, milk and cereal were much appreciated.

    Will2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay, the accommodation was cute and cozy with everything we needed. Great access to local walks, with information provided in the accommodation. The welcome basket with breakfast treats was the perfect finishing touch.

  • Lovely little cottage with great walks and pub in walking distance. Perfect for exploring the coastline and Lilly pad lakes. Cottage had everything we needed, was warm and fun to stay in. Steps up to the bed are steep but not a problem for us. Would definitely recommend!

  • This place really checked all the boxes. Great location, just a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, super clean, and hosts were very engaged and responsive, willing to share tips or suggestions for things to do in the area. Unfortunately, I happened to be traveling during the current COVID-19 pandemic and the castle was partially closed. This was really a port in the storm for this wayward American and I won’t forget it soon! Thanks again, Helen and Luke!

    Emily2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Luke’s mum Helen was the hostess with the mostess. She couldn’t have been any kinder, more thoughtful. We both felt she went above and beyond and made our weekend all the more relaxing and enjoyable. Very much appreciated and definitely recommend a stay at the keep. The apartment itself was comfortable and just what you wanted after a long day walking and hiking the coastline!

But this is somewhere where I’d recommend !! Thank you xx

  • Beautiful apartment in excellent location Very happy with our visit

    Kieren2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely apartment, perfectly located just off the Main Street in Pembroke, next to the Castle and the river. But despite the central location, it is beautifully quiet. The apartment is stylishly decorated and spacious and has everything you would need for a short break or longer stay. Luke and his family were excellent hosts. Communication was easy and we were offered plenty of local advice. They were also very flexible to meet our needs.

  • The perfect barn in the perfect spot for exploring the nearby beaches and coastal path.

    Lucy2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Potato Barn is a tranquil, idyllic spot far from the madding crowd. It's an ideal location to explore the Angle peninsula in South Pembrokeshire, we were there for 7 days and didn't travel more than 15 miles from the Barn, there is so much to see and do nearby! The Barn is homely and clean. The underfloor heating is effective and makes the whole place feel snug and warm. The layout of bedrooms at each end of the building gives great privacy. There is a large, open-plan living space with lots of doors and windows to throw open and let in the sun and fresh air.

  • Five stars for sure, as it’s been said before, the barn is extremely well equipped with gorgeous decor. It is in a wonderful location for exploring and is beautifully peaceful. We had an absolutely fantastic week and were very sad to leave. Hopefully we will be able to return in the future!

  • We stayed over for ironman wales. Was very quiet and peaceful and was ideally situated being 5 minutes drive from the park and ride. The place itself is small but the private yard (lovely in the sun) and a roomy bathroom made for plenty of space. There was a hamper on arrival which was thoughtfully chosen given what we were there for. Definitely recommended.

    Richard2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. My son loved the selection of toys inside and outside.
