Places to stay in Moylgrove
The cabin is located in stunning scenery, nestled midway between Carningli Mountain, Ty-Canol ancient oak woodland & the foothills of the Preselis & only 3 miles from the sea. With an outdoor hot tub, it's easy to kick back and relax.
Our fully insulated wooden cabin is just a couple of miles from Newport, Pembrokeshire. The cabin perches on the top of one of a series of 3 nearby mounds (the origin of which is still unclear, but you can see the other two from the garden) and over looks stunning scenery. The building is sunny, warm, light and airy, with a woodburning stove for when the weather is cooler. The water is heated by solar panels and a log boiler down in the main house. The hotub and garden has lovely views and you can sit back and enjoy incredible sunsets behind carningli mountain. Guests and friends often tell us that they have not slept and relaxed so well for a long time. Maybe it's because there are very few places left in Britain where you cannot hear the hum of a busy road or the sound of vehicles every few minutes. Here at the cosy Cabin, the small lanes are extremely quiet and you are completely surrounded by nature. All around you are hills, mountains, wooded valleys, streams and great mature oaks, ash and sycamore. Except for the neighbouring farm buildings, you could easily believe that you are tens of miles from civilisation; yet just over the side of Carningli (the rocky ancient volcano you can see from the garden) and only 3 miles away is the small bustling town of Newport. Newport is a tiny town that has an incredible variety of attractions including farmers market (on Mondays), award winning cafes, pubs and restaurants, local shops and art galleries and of course the sea with a beautiful sandy beach, cliff walks and sandunes. Before going into more detail I need to be clear on the location and type of property this is. The cabin has a compost loo which is a dry system that works without a flush, where the waste is converted into fertile soil for the apple trees. The loo does not smell bad in case you were wondering, but is not the same as a flush toilet. Access to the cabin involves some steep steps and a slightly uneven path with some leaves and loose small stones. It is not a modern set-up with a tarmac driveway with all the latest mod-cons (unless you're talking super comfortable beds, cooking, showering and hotub!) The best thing to do before booking is read through a number of reviews as well as much of the description as possible to get a feel for the place to make sure it's right for you. The cabin is open plan with a large curtain to separate the downstairs bedroom. There is a king size bed downstairs and a double mattress upstairs, and a travel cot if needed. We only make up the downstairs bed when there is one person or a couple staying, but if you'd prefer to sleep upstairs, just let us know before your stay. There is an electric shower and heated towel rail in the bathroom. The garden has chairs and there is a veranda for undercover outside dining. The outdoor electric hot tub is partly powered by the solar panels in the garden (as is the whole cabin), and it is hot and ready to use all the time. We will need access to the hot tub to check the levels, change filters etc if needed, but we always try to do this while guests are out. While we do provide a set of towels (one bath towel and one hand towel per guest), it might be an idea to bring an extra towel for the hot tub, and maybe a dressing gown. Some slip on shoes would also be useful for going between the cabin and the hot tub. As we are out in the sticks, mobile service is intermittent, but most networks can get signal somewhere, even if it means a trip to the garden or short walk into the field. There is no landline or internet in the cabin. We have been toying with the idea of getting the cabin connected, however, every single guest (even those that were expecting wifi) have told us at the end of their stay they were so happy not be distracted by their mobile phones, email etc. And that their experience was so much richer for it that we should definitely not introduce it... being cut off from social media addiction for even just a few days is incredibly relaxing and refreshing and is so rare these days. It is easy to forget how good for the mind the experience of spending quality time together, reading, playing games, talking and being able to completely relax is. So if you are worried about being off screen for a few days, don't be, as it really does make for a fantastic experience. Many of the pubs etc in newport do have free wifi if you do need to get online. If you would like to have a tv with DVD player please enquire and we should be able to provide without issue The cabin is self catering, and the kitchen is fully equipped, with a fridge, kettle, toaster and an induction cooker and Samsung oven which are super efficient and a pleasure to use. Some basics are provided, like salt, pepper, some herbs and spices and cooking oil. There will be complimentary tea and coffee (ground, for the caffetiere). There is no washing machine, but I would be happy to do a wash for you at a cost of £2 a load. We also have a dryer, which would be an extra £2, but there is also a drying line outside the cabin. Newport has a launderette too, opposite the Golden Lion pub. Bedding and bathroom towels are provided. If it's raining, there is a fantastic new local cafe in Newport called Pwnc that has an indoor climbing wall free for cafe customers and great for kids. there are also great indoor theme parks like Blue Lagoon etc. not too far away, and the hotub can be fun in the rain. There are a host of other fair weather types of activities close at hand too.
North Pembrokeshire is much quieter than the south and has a unique combination of rocky outcrops, stunning beaches and coastal path, wooded valleys and enclaves, friendly neighbours and a night sky with hardly any light pollution, resulting in a fantastic the view of the stars. The more well-known stunning beaches of Newport, Poppit and Whitesands are interspersed with little gems that are much quieter and actually often much more beautiful such as Cwm Yr Eglwys only a few miles away. The neighbourhood is a mix of traditional welsh farmers, smallholdings and people that have chosen a sustainable path and live off the land (this includes communities such as Lammas and Brithdir Mawr, as well as groups of families that share giant vegetable growing plots and a cow where each household takes a turn at milking!), stone farmhouses and cottages interspersed with hobbit style dwellings and homes made from natural materials. The Gwaun Valley that starts at our property is a sight in itself. Its vast densely wooded sides leads down to a welsh community that has culturally changed very little for centuries. They still celebrate their own new year, have a primary school still running strong with only 24 pupils in total and have a pub that is old as they come and only serve beer from jugs. There are plenty of beautiful sights and places of interest within walking distance along beautiful winding quiet backroads. The large organically farmed field next door with the large oak tree atop an ancient mound is ours and provides a stunning short walk or sports/activity ground (we have football nets to borrow), depending on the livestock! Ty canol woods (less than 1 mile away) is home to an ancient stunted oak woodland, rocky outcrops and carpeted in mosses and lichens, it is like walking into a fairytale book. The woods lead on to the larger rocky outcrops of Carnau meibion Owen which looks out to the preseli hills and also the ancient burial chamber of Pentre Ifan. The heather strewn slopes of Carningli mountain (less than 1 mile away) are well worth a climb, the views from on top are spectacular. Newport has a stunning large sandy beach with dunes and is great for swimming. The town of Newport has become famous for its array of great cafes, restaurants and shops including a wholefood shop, butchers, hardware store, fishmongers (specialising in locally caught fish), pharmacy, newsagents, craft collective, antique centre, Spar and a local produce market on a Monday morning. Our closest neighbours (300 yards ish), Simon and Kerry at Tyriet farm have opened a micro brewery (Bluestone brewing co.), and you can drop in and pick up a bottle or three of their finest ales.
  • Maya and Robyn are great hosts, they welcomed us warmly, showed around the cabin. It was straight forward from that moment, we didn’t need too much from them, but we knew they are there if there is any help needed. The best thing is - no WiFi, no signal, no tv - everything you need to spend couple of nights away - board games, hot tub and talking to your other half! Such a refreshing experience in this very fast world! You won’t regret booking this place!

  • We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Maya and Robin’s place. It’s cosy and in a beautiful spot. We received great local tips from Robin and just loved the area. Newport is a really pretty little town and has lots of nice cafes and places to walk; the views over it from Carningli hill were amazing (one of Robin’s tips). There’s some info on the listing which you should read before staying, such as there not being any WiFi which might not be appreciated by everyone, but I’m pretty sure it contributed to how well I slept the entire time I was here and how relaxed I felt. I also loved that there was a cupboard full of board games to get stuck into, and the hot tub was perfect.

  • Really lovely place. Stand out features were the amazing location, gorgeous little cabin with a brilliant wood burning stove and a fantastic hottub. Also nice to have plenty of wood provided, real coffee in the kitchen and the hottub was properly hot!

    Sophie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in the hut! It was perfect for a country side get away, with a lovely town near by on the coast. Even though it was winter the hut was so toasty and warm with the wood burner. There was loads of amenities and we were able to cook. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, would really recommend and would love to go back. Lydia

  • This place really is a gem. Hidden away you really do feel in your own world. The hot tub is amazing! With beautiful views and countryside as far as you can see. The accommodation is beautiful. It’s bigger than the pictures show. All the amenities you need. Bliss to have no signal, no Wi-if, no Tv. Just books and relaxation. If you want to have a few days away from a hectic work life this is perfect. Host was very accommodating when we had to move dates and very responsive. Two beautiful cats give us a visit too!

  • Really cosy cabin, spectacular panoramic location, walking distance to a brewery! :D

    Joshua2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you want superb accommodation, friendly hosts and a place to truly unwind then this is the place for you

    Carl2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • I was greeted warmly by Maya and Robin and given a tour of the cabin and some great advice of local walks. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. The fire keeps the place warm for hours. Having a compost loo inside is a massive bonus, not having to trudge across a field in the rain and cold in the middle of the night is great! I spent two evenings sat in the hot tub, looking at the stars and listening to owls hooting. What more could you want. Would highly recommend.

  • Was really pleased with the cabin and the location! The cabin was full of fairy lights and Christmas decorations which made our experience even more pleasant. We had a puppy with us and it was no trouble at all as there are plenty of animals around Geri's place. Such a retreat that we really needed! All the beaches are just a short drive away. Highly recommend and I am sure we will be back another time . Thank you

    Dot2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin in a secluded location! Geri offered many suggestions about beaches and places to go, as well as in advance of our stay recommending lovely pubs etc to book. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I particularly liked the fact that there was very little light pollution around so you could enjoy the stars. The area has plenty of things to do and see and we really enjoyed exploring it. The hot tub was fantastic- All in all a fantastic weekend- thank you Geri!

Quiet Earth Eco House; A really magical place; Grand Designs Eco home award winner 2008 is a two storey loadbearing straw bale house (first in the UK). A luxurious off grid home, offering a truly sustainable experience in a very beautiful and quiet haven. Situated in St Dogmaels on a hilltop overlooking breathtaking views of Cardigan estuary, close to local beaches and the Pembrokeshire coastal footpath. We look forward to supporting your retreat here and sharing the many gifts of this place.
This straw bale eco retreat home was self built between 2003-05 and generated much attention due to it's unique nature. Please read the full description before booking! It is a beautiful peaceful retreat centre, offering special time to relax in an untouched woodland upon a hill overlooking spectacular views of the Teifi estuary. There are various idyllic beaches within a couple of miles of here and many inspiring walks. We are two miles from the start of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. It is also an off grid home, powered by the sun and the wind and this is one of it's important features, giving one the opportunity to experience living with the elements and being powered by them. Low energy appliances may be used with awareness such as occasional laptops etc. (no hairdryers/ straighteners or heating appliances). The Nature of this place does also invite the visitor to just enjoy being switched off for a while and to experience the gifts of the environment. Downstairs you will find a large open plan kitchen and living room with a wood stove which heats the whole house. There is a downstairs bathroom in a rounded stone turret with sunken bath and rain water harvested toilet. Water is solar heated and back boiler heated in the winter. The house offers a long conservatory to enjoy the stunning estuary views. We have 2 delightful and gentle cats here called Elma and Arthur in the house and then daphne the dog who will be with us in the eco lodge close by. We can arrange at times for the cats to be out of the house and use the conservatory for short periods. If you have serious cat allergies however this may not be for you. Upstairs offers a beautiful and spacious open plan room which offers itself as a luxury bedroom and studio for a couple or a space for family or occasionally a retreat space for a group of up to 8 with low futon style beds. We have also now opened up the large beautiful attic bedroom as an extra room with a double mattress and space for more. This is accessible by ladder. In the warmer months there occasionally is a self contained eco lodge too. The wood fired hot tub will Only be available from early summer at certain discretionary times for long staying guests who can enjoy the ritual of gathering wood, heating the stove and then bathing under the stars. Please note; this takes a good few hours to prepare and so is Not available for short stays due to the sustainable aspect of this centre. The woodland is terraced, with paths for visitors to explore and we are currently developing a forest garden. We also encourage artists and writers in residence to spend time here working in a natural and supportive environment on a project. We can offer subsidy for this also at times. Please note; this is a natural straw bale/ clay built home and we hire a wonderful cleaner to scrub the place...we use no chemicals in the process.. it is perfectly clean in the best eco natural way possible. Yes, there can be spiders and insects around in the summer.. please bear this in mind as a natural part of living close to Nature.
The beauty of this place is all that Nature has to offer along with the gifts of many of the creative people living in the nearby village and surrounding area. There are many circular walks for which we can give directions. We are situated at the beginning of the pembrokeshire coastal path and close to an array of stunning beaches. Our local beaches Poppit and Mwnt have regular sitings of bottle nosed dolphins and seals. Cardigan town is a few miles away along the estuary and offers shops, restaurants, theatre, cinema, spa and a heritage centre. In the heart of the village is a ruined Abbey, a visitors centre and cafe. The village offers a good few pubs along the river, a wonderful deli with homemade produce and cafe. We encourage guests to visit our local produce markets and organic market gardens. Most foods can be bought locally. The gift of this home is that it is secluded in a woodland and yet a walking distance to the village estuary and beaches.
  • We really enjoyed our stay, it was great to get into nature more and take a brake from living in a city. This trip really opened our eyes to a more sustainable way of living, something I am striving towards my self. Lots of land around the house to explore and the wood and log burner kept us warm in the evening. Shop and a pub are walking distance. Thank you

The house is full of wonderful little things and quirky touches and is really incomparable to anything else. Part of a beautiful old stone mill transformed into a 1 bed luxury holiday cottage, nestled in 13 acres of pasture & woods, only 3 miles from the fishing village and stunning beaches of Aberporth and 5 minute drive from the historic town of Cardigan.
Cryngae Mawr Farm was founded in the 1820s to make use of the natural spring to power a mill and dairy. Its sits in a sheltered spot with stunning views across the countryside and lots of nooks and crannys to explore. The Coach House itself is a traditional stone building with walls over 2ft which was originally used to store the farm coaches and run the mill workings. It has recently been converted to a high standard providing a mezzanine bedroom, ensuite luxury bathroom with power rain shower and a large open plan kitchen and lounge with large double sofa bed. The Coach House has a private garden to front but also has a sunny open garden area to the rear leading to the woods and streams beyond.
The Cardigan Bay area was voted by lonely planet as best place to be in the world right now, its absolutely stunning with cliff walks, sandy bays, pristine national trust beaches and small fishing villages with local pubs and restaurants. Cardigan town is a short drive away and has an abundance of local shops, artisan bakers, pizza makers and award winning restaurants. The area is famed for outdoor pursuits such as coasteering, surfing, sea kayaking, sailing, mountain biking and walking; its known as the best location in the UK to spot dolphins, puffins and rare wildlife.
  • The Coach House is the perfect place to stay when exploring this part of Wales. When we arrived the cottage was warm and cozy, and Shaun had left Welsh cakes and drinks which got us off to to good start. The cottage is impeccably kept, and  located in beautiful countryside. Close to many beautiful beaches - we particularly enjoyed Popitt Sands, Porthgain and Aberport and .Supermarkets, cafes and restaurants can all be found in nearby Cardigan. For breakfast we loved Crwst in Cardigan, and delicious fresh ice cream from Pointz Castle near Solva. We had a great time, highly recommended. We'll be back. Thanks!

  • A lovely cottage in a great location, a short drive from the beautiful beach in Aberporth. Shaun was very hospitable and the property had everything we needed. It was also excellent value for money.

    Charlotte2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • A rustic farm arrival to be surprised by a modern converted coach house with all modern cons. Warm, cosy, very comfortable bed and pillows and lovely hot shower. Everything one could want for a wonderful stay. Finding the place can be a little worrying, but after following Shaun's directions we found the place easily. Had a small hassle getting onto wifi, but once logged in it worked perfectly. Highly recommended.

  • Sian’s cottage is really lovely, the perfect rural retreat. Cute and cosy with lots of thoughtful touches and quirky decor (including some gorgeous traditional welsh blankets!). Log fire, comfy bed, great bath tub, beautiful stream at the bottom of the garden. The stairs to the next floor are steep so take care after a glass of wine :) We would definitely stay again.

  • One of my favourite air bnb I’ve stayed in, photos don’t do this places justice was super cosy, and had everything you need. No faults at all would definitely recommend.

    Emelia2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! Cosy, warm with everything you could possibly need! And what a stunning location!

    Rachel2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sian's place is really beautiful - the flat is super cosy and wonderfully decorated and it was so lovely to be close to the river and to watch all the birds from the window. The location is gorgeous. The bed was really comfy and it was so nice to wake up in the morning to the beautiful views. We went for a walk through the local area which was lovely - all the moss and old trees. We were really well catered for in the flat - there was everything we needed and more (cooking equipment, games, a TV, bath, etc.). Thanks Sian!

    Adam2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sian's cottage is in a beautiful location. If you like the sound of a babbling brook and birds, then this is the place for you. The house was spotless and has everything you need to cater for yourselves. Although the stairs look steep in the photos, it is well built and manageable. In the winter, with the log fire, it becomes a warm, cosy and comfortable home. In the summer, the ability to eat outside overlooking a brook in a quiet wooded location, makes it great for all seasons. Top tip: Leave one set of keys in the key blister. This will avoid becoming locked out. Many thanks to Simone for help us out on New Year's Day!!

    Brian2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a magical stay at Sian's cottage over Christmas, it was the perfect place to spend a week away. Sian met us on arrival and showed us around and then left us to enjoy our time. Thoughtful touches with chocolates and fruit, tealights, and decorated with fairy lights and Xmas decs. Loved having fires and the kitchen was perfectly equipped for cooking our veggie Xmas dinner! Lovely bathroom for soaks in the tub, cosy bed with the river at the bottom of the garden giving us a lullaby every evening! Great local tips for places to visit and a great base to explore Pembrokeshire - particularly loved Narbeth and lunch at the Tarfenn Sinc (Tavern Zinc at Rosebush) Thanks for a great holiday Sian! We hope to come back again.

Cosy cottage (Pen Lon Las) is part of the east wing of Albro Castle workhouse situated in its own valley overlooking the Teifi Estuary. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside with the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at the end of our lane. Poppit beach is a 15 minutes walk away and the Preseli Mountains a 20 minute drive. St.Dogmaels is a pretty village with a local produce market every Tuesday, brilliantly stocked shop for essentials and the Ferry Inn pub just a 5 minute walk form us.
Pen Lon Las is a one bedroom wing of the “best preserved workhouse in Wales” (National Trust). We have renovated it to be as authentic as possible, changing as little as we can, repairing old doors and windows and exposing old paint colours on parts of the walls giving a deep sense of history and tranquillity. It has its own fully equipped compact kitchen, shower room and toilet, and dining/lounge area with sold fuel stove and double sofa bed. The separate bedroom is simply furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Background heating is provided by storage heaters but lighting the solid fuel stove makes the whole cottage really cosy. Coal and kindling for this fire are provided free of charge which are stored in one of the former Vagrant cells close to the cottage. With care, the stove can be kept alight for your whole stay.
  • The communication and overall impression was first rate

    Tracey2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little place for a couple to stay...and we also brought our dog with us which was a bonus! The cottage has been sympathetically restored, so you can still see remnants of the old plasterwork etc. there is a lot of history to the building. Location wise, it is a 5 minute walk from one of the best pubs in the area which is by the water and serves good food and drink. Also, Poppit sands is a 5 minute drive, and Cardigan around a 10 minute drive. We would happily stay there again!

    Alexandra2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint cottage, just a short walk from the river estuary and village centre. It was a perfect place to get away from it all and a good base to explore the North Pembs coastline. Pete was really quick at getting back to us and made sure we had all the information we needed. Check in and out was simple. Our young terrier came with us and loved the trip.

    Clare2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hosts and definitely a cosy cottage!

    Jo2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, easy to find, friendly host had the fire burning when we arrived so was cosy and warm, 10mins walk to excellent Ferry Inn for lovely meal...

  • Beautiful setting and Cosy cottage! Amazing big dog friendly beach and coastal walks just 5 mins away. Fantastic food and service at the local Pub too!

  • Can’t recommend Albro Castle enough! Such a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage was extremely cosy with the fire going plus the bed was very comfy! Pete was a great host and extremely helpful, the cottage is the perfect gate-away to experience the amazing Pembrokeshire coast and the outstanding Welsh countryside.

    Chloe2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • A completely unique property with a fascinating history , carefully restored with style and care. If you appreciate a serious attempt to preserve a valuable example of Welsh history you will love this place. So many lovely touches, including flowers and fruit when we arrived. Very comfortable with a coal fire and storage heaters that kept the place warm, a lovely refuge after a day’s walking the coast path. Workhouses have a complex history and it is impossible not to imagine the experience of people who lived here more than a century ago, especially the vagrant cells where people broke stones as payment for bread and board. Our host was very helpful and flexible , the cottage is well equipped and furnishings and bedding of lovely quality. I cannot recommend it enough

A beautiful old stone mill transformed into a 3 bed luxury holiday cottage, nestled in 13 acres of pasture and woods, only 3 miles from the fishing village and stunning beaches of Aberporth and 5 minute drive from the historic town of Cardigan.
Cryngae Mawr Farm was founded in the 1820s to make use of the natural spring to power a mill and dairy. Its sits in a sheltered spot with stunning views across the countryside, and lots of nooks and crannys to explore. The Dairy itself is a traditional stone building with walls over 2ft thick and large slate flagstone floors. It has recently been converted to a high standard providing three bedrooms. (two doubles and one twin, a discrete sofa bed is also available for use in the master bedroom) There is a large fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with open plan dining room . A stunning lounge with large leather vintage chesterfield sofas and cosy wood burning stove. (0ne of the Chesterfields converts to a sofa bed if required) Two luxury bathrooms including the master bedroom an ensuite and a separate downstairs toilet make it perfect for families and groups. The Dairy has a private secluded garden but also has French doors opening from the lounge onto a sunny open garden area leading to the woods and streams beyond.
  • Had an amazing time at the Dairy Farm for a weekend getaway with a group of mates– beautiful surroundings, superb accommodation and was warmly welcomed by Shaun who provided plenty of local recommendations well worth your time. Directions were easy to follow, the beach is just down the road and there are plenty of pubs and local sights within walking distance. Would thoroughly recommend staying for a relaxing break in the Welsh countryside!

    Sean2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • The Dairy was a fabulous stay. Perfect location for exploring the gorgeous Welsh coastline. The cottage was sparkling clean and super warm with all the bits and pieces you need for a self catering stay. The beds were comfy and bathrooms clean with plenty of hot water. The instructions for arrival and the cottage were perfect everything you need to know and all very clear. Definitely do not listen to the sat nav and do follow Shaun’s instructions. There was milk in the fridge and tea and coffee ready to go, perfect after a long drive. Shaun was the perfect host. On hand in an instant to answer any questions but given us plenty of privacy and the cottage space to ourselves. We would most certainly come back here and use as a base to explore the rest of South Wales and the coast.

    Jo2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Shaun's cottage was a cosy and lovely place for me and my friends to spend the weekend. We loved the surrounding area and Shaun was very welcoming.

"Not only is it one of the nicest gardens I have seen in the county it is an absolute marvel." - Pembrokeshire Online. Chalet in four acres of garden and private woods in the small village of Moylegrove, Pembrokeshire with 20 minute woodland walk to the coast. Private river, waterfalls, water areas and landscaped gardens with seating areas throughout. Woodland walk directly from the chalet to local bay and coastal path (no road walking or driving). Driveway gated parking. Ducks on your doorstep!
Exclusively available on AirBnB. I live here and can go weeks without seeing or hearing another soul if I choose! The main house is only a hundred yards away and the chalet can be reached exclusively from the driveway through its own gated walkway or down from the woods with its own private path. The gardens were once open to the public and have many seats and secret areas to discover as well as our own woods to tramp through. The chalet has a smart TV and wifi broadband with Netflix and Amazon TV included. There is no mobile phone reception in Moylegrove but phones can be used through the wifi. There is one master bedroom with king bed and one smaller room with two bunkbeds. Chalet is suitable for two adults and two children. The bunkbeds are adult singles. Breakfast items and cupboard stocks provided for self-catering. Our friendly ducks live outside the chalet. They are very curious and appreciate company!
Moylegrove sits on the remotest coastal part of the Pembrokeshire National Park. The cliffs here are the highest part of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. It's a 20min woodland walk direct from the chalet to the bay. Poppit sands beach is only 2 miles away and Newport sands and links golf course is only 5 miles away. Both beaches can be reached by walking the coastal path at the bay. The area is extremely popular for kayaking and coastal walks. The nearest shopping and eating locations are Newport, St. Dogmaels and Cardigan. Due to its remote location there are no shops or pubs in Moylegrove itself. We have local information in the chalet of places to eat that we recommend.
  • We had a really lovely stay; a beautiful chalet with everything we needed, and a great host. Meeting the ducks was a big highlight too!

    Alex2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic chalet in amazing gardens. Mark had thought of everything in the chalet... we were amazed at the well stocked kitchen! Spotlessly clean and comfortable - so peaceful and relaxing. Really dog friendly - our puppy loved every minute .... especially the river! A little piece of heaven in a beautiful location.

    Jane2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This chalet is tucked away in the gardens of a beautiful slice of Pembrokeshire. Marks instructions were clear and helpful. The village is quaint and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The chalet itself was incredibly cozy. It was warm, clean and comfortable. Mark left us a few grocery items which were much appreciated. We had absolutely everything we needed. Our 4 year old loved the ducks, as did we. The hike out to the bay was the perfect way to start our day. We would absolutely stay here again. Our only regret was staying for only one night.

    Chanda2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place which is peaceful, cosy and stocked with everything you could possibly need. There are no less than 3 private seating areas outside, set in remarkable grounds. We are proud to be the first guests to have found the 'hidden treasure' at the ruin on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Walk which runs directly from the cabin. Not for the faint-hearted but breathtaking and we were also lucky to see seals playing in the Witches' Cauldron. We really didn't want to leave and could happily have stayed the month. Thank you!

    Katja2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fabulous long weekend. Mark was an exceptional host with perfect instructions describing location and for running the cottage. It’s the first self catering that was a gas cooker and it’s the most trouble free cooking I’ve experienced in an unfamiliar kitchen. Lots of touches that we appreciated. The garden is charmingly landscaped the pictures don’t do it justice. The 20 minute almost totally private walk towards the cove was just what we needed. The property is easy to keep warm and no sign of damp at all. Mark responded to text in a timely manner to any queries we had. Highly recommended.

    Vincent2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Would recommend Marks place!!! Had a lovely couple days and would return in an instant!!

  • A quiet, quirky, and romantic hideaway hidden a magical garden. No need to go into detail—everything was perfect, including a walk through the woods to a beautiful bay and the magnificent Wales Coastal Path. Highly recommended for imaginative souls.

    Christine2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • the chalet is wonderful. the gardens amazing and the house cozy. Lots of kitchen staples (the best so far in Wales). the hike to the coast is beautiful and there are lots of other nearby attractions. it was tempting just to stay on the property and relax.

  • Dragmarr is a wonderful host! She offered a lot of support, as our initial plans changed and we got a bit lost on the way. Her place is so beautiful, full of special details, she even put fresh flowers at the entrance for us. 😁. And I can not praise enough the breakfast, local bakery delicious bread, homemade jams, fruits, yogurt, etc, and the heavenly lemon curd 😁. We felt very spoiled. As for the surrounding...the images will stay with you for a long time. Thank you very much!

  • A lovely space with modern touches and a lovely cosy feel. The continental breakfast was also lovely, with local bread and yummy cookies. We will definitely be back!

  • My wife and I quite enjoy travelling and Dagmarr’s place is the BEST AirBnB we’ve been to. This was just the perfect little home away from home to stay at. They had given attention perfectly to every little detail to give you us a very comfortable small town Welsh stay!! She had prepared an awesome continental breakfast with local bakery bread, different jams, honey, marmalade, oatmeal, fresh yogurt, berries, milk and juice. Directions to the Airbnb were a bit tricky but the effort was worth it. Great local tips of a beach to travel to and local restaurants. Would 100% request to stay with Dagmarr again if we were in the Pembrokeshire area or travelling the west coast of Wales again!! Thanks for everything!

Y Caban Pren is located within a six acre property about three miles from Cardigan. It is set in a stunning landscape with far-reaching views. The accommodation is self-contained, and is constructed to a very high standard, with thick insulation, electric heating and double glazing to all rooms. Much of the hot water is solar heated. It is comfortably fitted out with neutral colours, and the kitchen area is well equipped, with fridge. Outside, there is a decking area with table and chairs.
Y Caban Pren is situated within the grounds of a beautiful and peaceful six acre property called Waun Lle. There are panoramic views across to the Preseli Hills and around to Cardigan Bay. It is an ideal location for a quiet and relaxing break, away from it all but with easy driving access to Cardigan and the coast.
The property is about three miles from Cardigan, and is situated just off a lane which adjoins the A487, giving easy access north towards Aberystwyth and south to Cardigan and onwards into Pembrokeshire. Cardigan is a vibrant small town with two supermarkets and a good range of independent shops and eating places. Access is easy to many beautiful beaches, with Mwnt being the nearest.
  • We highly recommend Melanie's place. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Cozy and roomy. Perfect for a few days away. Close to some idyllic beaches at Mwnt, Aberporth and Tresaith. Just a few minutes away from Cardigan, with a large supermarket and local shops etc.

Rocket House enjoys some of the most spectacular sea views in Pembrokeshire. If that wasn't enough, it is also on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, just a stones throw from one of the country's finest beaches! Rocket is a charming little slice of living history.. it really does have to be seen to be believed! And so, we do hope you choose to stay and discover our wonderful, hidden corner of beautiful Pembrokeshire. Cari, Duncan & Family @rockethouse_poppit
Rocket is ideal for a romantic getaway, a perfect opportunity to pack your bags and head West, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the 21st century. However, it is still possible to enjoy all the luxuries of modern day living! The bright and airy living room is home to mid-century & contemporary art work, comfy vintage furniture and a super eco-friendly wood pellet stove (the heart of "Rocket"). Of course, there are also captivating views.. The luxury kitchen is again bedecked with mid-century furniture, "found" objects and a bespoke kitchen with Smeg induction range and state of the art coffee machine. Sea views come as standard. The double height bedroom (the original, grade II listed building) has a luxury super-king size bed, organic cotton Toast linen, bluetooth DAB radio and a cosy window seat. The bathroom is brimming with 1930s style, with bath, overhead & handheld shower and organic soap & body wash. There is also plenty of hanging space in the large hallway, and places to put muddy boots (or dogs!)
Rocket is just a leisurely stroll (on a quiet country lane) from Poppit Sands, an utterly charming strip of golden sand, dunes and rockpools, with wonderfully clear waters and enough swell to challenge even the most seasoned surfer! Poppit's dunes are home to some very unusual wildlife (bee orchids & adders) and the lanes around Rocket are awash with wildflowers in the Spring/Summer. A short walk up the hill on the same lane (a no through road, so virtually no traffic) will lead you to Cemaes Head, a highly treasured piece of the wild, beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline. From the spectacular clifftops it is possible to see multitudes of seals, dolphins and other sea & bird life. One of the loveliest things about Rocket is that you don’t have to travel far to find the most perfect beaches, countryside, wildlife or walking; it’s all right on the doorstep!
  • Beautiful cottage in a stunning location whatever the weather! Very stylishly decorated and great views over the coast.

  • Rocket House is just perfect! We had an amazing 4 night stay at this beautiful house. It's the perfect space for two and feels spacious and cosy at the same time. The bed is amazing, so big and comfortable we slept soundly every night. Location is superb with amazing views over poppit sands and out to the ocean. We loved visiting off season as it was quiet and although not much was open locally Cardigan is just a short 10 min drive and had everything we needed. It really was the most relaxing and peaceful stay in a beautiful part of the country. Thanks so much Cari, we hope to visit again soon!

    Sarah2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rocket House is amazing! Cari and Duncan have done an amazing job and have created my dream holiday home. The location and views are fantastic and we are already planning our return. I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay in this beautiful part of the country. Thanks again!

  • A lovely property in a beautiful setting. Cari and family have obviously given a huge amount of thought to the refurbishment of the property and making it a welcoming space for guests. It is also very well equipped with all mod cons. Excellent base for walking along the beautiful coastline nearby. Thank you.

  • We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the stunning rocket house! It was perfect. The location was ideal with the amazing Poppit sands so close by. As we came with 2 dogs, this worked really well. The house itself was really clean and the decoration and little touches e.g. the welcome basket made it very special. We will return in the future. A 10/10 trip!

    Caroline2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay here. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and included everything one could need for a trip away. The cottage was well positioned and the host couldn't have been helpful. Thank you we had a lovely time!

  • Rocket House is stunning! It's gorgeous both inside and out. It's been beautifully restored and an Instagrammers dream! With lovely little decorative details and views out of every window overlooking the dramatic Poppit Sands bay. Lots of lovely walks on your door step and beyond. And the local pub, The Ferry Inn, is also a great little spot for lunch and a pint overlooking the water. Cari was a really great host. Very responsive, friendly and welcoming. She gave us some great tips for exploring the area, as well as a basket full of treats! We'll definitely be coming back. Thanks again.

There is direct access from the cottage garden to Craig Rhos-y-felin and an extensive range of paths and walks along tranquil river banks or through the purple heather and yellow gorse of this beautiful moorland area. There is also an abundance of wildlife. Badgers and foxes are seen regularly on and around the farm and otters play down at the river. Dolphins and seals can be seen off the nearby coast, and there is a wide variety of birds including red kites, buzzards, kingfishers, woodpeckers and barn owls. On the farm, the owner’s sheep and horses will be grazing in their fields behind the cottage. This is a truly unique location with a fascinating history. Geologists have known since the 1920s that the bluestones were brought to Stonehenge from the Preseli hills but it is only recently that archaeologists have been been able to locate the actual quarries from which they came. Craig Rhos-y-felin, behind the cottage, is one of these.

A beautifully converted stone barn set in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park on a small, quiet farm above the dramatic Craig Rhos-y-felin, source of some of the Stonehenge bluestones. Moorland and riverside walks from the cottage gate. We have converted Hafod Wnnog Dairy to form a cosy, quiet cottage in a picturesque location at the foot of the Preseli hills overlooking fields and the wooded valley of Craig Rhos-y-felin, a dramatic rocky outcrop and Neolithic quarry.
This is one of two cottages located on the farm and was originally the farm dairy with the milking parlour adjoining. The building retains the character of the original design with exposed original stone walls and a slate roof with vaulted ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms. UPSTAIRS Bedroom 1: double bed, wardrobe and dressing table, bedside cabinets. Vaulted ceiling with dormer window with picturesque views over the garden, field and valley beyond. Bedroom 2: Two single beds, wardrobe, dressing table and shelves. Vaulted ceiling with dormer window with views over the garden, field and valley beyond. DOWNSTAIRS Hall leading to downstairs rooms and stairs Open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with large french doors leading out onto the patio and into the garden. The dining area hosts a large farmhouse dining table and six chairs and an old, rustic Welsh dresser. The lounge has TV with digital Freeview and DVD and is comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well equipped with hand made, fitted rustic wooden units and an electric range cooker with additional work surfaces. There is also a large fridge/ freezer, washing machine and a microwave cooker. Bathroom: bath and shower, toilet, hand basin, heated towel rail Bedroom 3: Two bunk beds and chest of drawers OUTSIDE There is a secure garden behind the cottage with an attractive lawned area backing onto fields and a patio with garden table and seating. • A spacious, comfortable and well-stocked cottage near Cardigan. We enjoyed a few nearby walks and the local pub, the Salutation Inn.

  • Beautiful cozy and warm cottage set in a lovely location. A charming walk straight from the back garden into woodlands and stunning places to visit all within easy reach. We really enjoyed our stay which was excellent value for money and we had everything we needed in the cottage. Christina was lovely and welcoming and we would highly recommend staying at the property which also allows a dog to stay. Thank you.

  • Brilliant place home from home. All you need to have a great break.

    Patricia2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Always great when you turn up and it’s better than you expected. We had such a lovely warm welcome. Lovely card and bottle of wine on arrival too. Fabulous cottage with character, charm, comfort and family space. Comfy beds, loads of hanging space and powerful shower. Our pals stayed in the cottage next door which meant we each had our separate space but we could get together each evening and enjoy playing cards and have a meal together. The dining table sits eight comfortably. Very useful hanging space in the hallway with room for muddy boots and wet weather gear. Immediate walking access from the back garden to footpaths in the area. Beautiful Newport Bay a shirt drive away. We’ll be visiting again.

    Laura2020-01-02T00:00:00Z

  • A warm & friendly welcome from Megan. The hut is modern, clean and cosy. Great location, close to an abundance of country, woodland and coastal walks.

    Julia2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Despite stormy weather we had a wonderful weekend tucked away in this lovely eco cabin. Super cosy and warm even in the worst weather and when the sun comes out loads of great scenic walks to explore nearby.

    Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay that went far too quickly. The shepherds’ hut is so cosy and away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. No WiFi and no TV.... PERFECT!!! We would highly recommend you stay!

    Simon2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is wonderful place to come and withdraw from the world. The hut itself was perfect - warm even in the middle of winter thanks to the wood burner, enough facilities to be able to cook for ourselves, a very comfortable bed, and a well designed bathroom - we could have stayed for weeks. Being removed from the main B'n'B gave us our own space, but being so near meant we could take advantage of Megans excellent cooking - a great dinner and a marvellous breakfast. The situation is also very good: one can drop down on to the coast path in about 15-20 minutes. We had a magnificent walk up to the headland above Poppit Sands from which we could see the Llyn peninsular and Snowdonia floating above the horizon, 50 odd miles away. All in all, a great place to get away to, and to explore this beautiful coastline from.

    Dominic2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem. We had a very cosy midwinter stay in this super stylish shepherds hut. A great location for exploring the coast, very comfortable accommodation and fantastic hosts. Wish we'd stayed longer!

    Lucy2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place, tiny and with everything you need! Also perfect when you want to cook for yourself. We stayed here fot 3 days with a seven month old baby, worked out fine!, a place with a lot of windows/light but you can also make it dark. Good bed! Good shower. Nice people. Very clean. And above all; very cosy!

    Berber2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place in a gorgeous surroundings and a perfect place to base yourself for walks in the countryside. Megan was a lovely host and really helpful with recommendations for places to eat in the evening. Would definitely recommend and we'll be back for sure!

  • The Douglas & Birch hut is a lovely place to stay, really neat and stylish. The surrounding is beautiful and Meg & Jaap are really lovely people. Ty Nywedd Fountain is an 18th Century Welsh stone cottage. The cottage is situated in the quiet and peaceful village of Moylegrove in North Pembrokeshire, roughly mid way between the towns of Newport (6 miles) and Cardigan (5 miles) and a 15 / 20 minute walk to the nearby beach of Ceiwbr and the National Coastal Path, as well as a short drive or bus ride to the neighbouring beaches of Newport & Poppit. The cottage is ideal for walkers, readers, writers & has a cosy wood burner & secluded garden.
Ty Nywedd Fountain includes many original features such as an inglenook, beams and wooden floors and has a secluded garden including comfortable, period garden furniture and hammock. The downstairs area is open plan. Upstairs comprises two bedrooms including one with bunk beds and a bathroom.
The local beach of Ceiwbr is a peaceful destination for any walk and the dramatic rocks of The Witch's Cauldron are also easily accessed. Both Cardigan and Newport boast excellent independent cafés, bars and breweries including Café Pwnc in Newport and Bara Havard and PizzaTipi in Cardigan. Glebelands in nearby St Dogmaels is a very reasonably priced organic market garden with an excellent year-round selection of fresh produce. The Golden Lion in Newport is a wonderful, cosy pub.
  • The cottage is wonderful. Our favourite kind of place with its thick walls and white wash. It's been done out beautifully and it was a lovely restful place sheltering us from the wild weather we enjoyed outside on nearby Poppit Sands. A great place and fantastic location.

    Hilary2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very happy stay here! A much needed bolt hole and the place embraced us. Wood burner was a winner to keep us cozy during the wild and woolly winds. Made even better by all the walks on our doorstep. Our doggie was very happy and can heartily recommend Newport sands and St Dogmaels if you fancy good food, a damn fine walk and a bit of shopping. Thank you Sarah! We have had the best week. :)

    Suzie2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • A gorgeous cottage in a lovely village. Two great beaches 10 minutes away and a brilliant cliff walk from the front door. The cottage was clean, cosy and stylish. Sarah made us feel at home with handy messages when we needed them. Our dog loved the garden and all the dog friendly beaches near by. Comfy bed, roaring fire and plenty of cups of tea made for a brilliant winter break.

    Danny2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is absolutely wonderful for a peaceful and restorative getaway - it is much nicer than in the pictures and has all the amenities you need for cooking up a feast and getting cosy. Just what we needed this NYE! The location was great and we were able to explore the beautiful coastline and raid the Cardigan charity shops for vintage bargains. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone!

    Laura2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was such a welcoming host and had left some thoughtful Christmas touches. The heating was on so we didn’t arrive to a freezing house, quality fresh coffee was ready for the following morning. There’s plenty of great reading books, and the house has retained its original charm without becoming uncomfortably out of date. Very clean. All mod cons available for DIY meals. It has a lovey feel about the place. Terrifically close to some spectacular walks. Thank you, Sarah & family.

    Brooke2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage close to the coast. Very cosy with lots of features, great wood burning stove and (unusually) a fantastic supply of very dry fire wood provided. No sacks of wet petrol station logs which we often find at airBnB’s. As a result we had an extremely warm and relaxing stay, a great place to disconnect and recharge. Highly recommend and good value.

    Robert2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful couple of days in Sarah's home. The peaceful location was perfect for myself, partner and young son and we felt so at home. Sarah was an excellent host, great communication and so hospitable. The decor is wonderfully cosy and homely and Sarah deserves very much to be a super host.

Clydfan (means 'cosy cottage' in Welsh) is one of two south-facing former quarryman's cottages looking toward the Preseli mountains. Originally two-up-two-down, the cottage was extended to the west in the 1970s for a kitchen and bathroom to be added and the two downstairs rooms are now a tiled through lounge. It's small, but set in a large garden; part wild and part lawned, so plenty of places to hide in. Footpaths lead to the slate quarries and to Glogue.
You'll be a secluded half mile from the road, sharing the un-made track with the quarryman's cottage next door and some horses. Tegryn village has a pub almost in walking distance (uphill) while Crymych and its shops is four miles. So it's a hideaway from which you can launch expeditions to tour the area - or just hideaway in.
Apart from the country walks on your doorstep, everything's a car ride away: Cardigan is 20 mins and beyond that the Poppit Sands beach. Aberaeron and the honey ice cream shop is 3/4 hour heading towards Aberystwyth and the other way Britain's smallest city of St Davids is an hour. Or just stay home and enjoy the view.
  • The cottage is in a fantastic location. There are far reaching views, and spacious grounds. It is a hidden gem yet withing easy driving distance of lots of lovely beaches.

A riverside haven, with unsurpassable views of the Teifi, ideal for walkers on the nearby beach & coastal path, kayak paddlers and RHIB boating (all available on site), or just plain sun bathing and paddling, before enjoying a meal in a local pub (nearest is just next door-but-one)
Not only is Jonathan a unique riverside location on the Teifi, with its own deck and jetty, but use of up to x3 river kayaks and/or my inflatable RHIB boat are all included (at no extra charge). The large and pleasant beach called Poppit in the Pembs Coast National Park, is just a couple of miles down the road, & marks the start of the award winning National Pembs Coastal Path. This part of the world is blessed also with many sites of local interest from medieval castle to wildlife sanctuaries; and there are many local pubs and restaurants to choose from for both lunch and the evenings. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and all kitchen utensils, breadboard, knives, grater, saucepans, etc. Everything you need for self-catering.
The riverside village of St Dogmaels is on the northern border of Pembrokeshire, formed by the River Tivy (Teifi) close to the market town of Cardigan. St Dogmaels is significant because the Pembrokeshire coast path starts or finishes here, depending on which way you're walking it. The village has three main attractions all in close proximity to each other: St Dogmaels Abbey, The Coach House (St Dogmaels Heritage Centre) and Y Felin Water Mill.
  • Great Stay

  • The accomodation is simple, nothing special, and nothing wrong with it - but the location, and stunning views from big rooms across the estuary, made it a real gem. Robbie is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The Ferry Inn pub/restaurant two doors down is excellent

    Jamie2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We received a lovely warm friendly and informative welcome off our host. Robbie gave us a good tour of the property to show us how everything worked and gave us lots of useful tips on the local area and the local amenities on offer. The views from lower Jon of the River Teifi were truly spectacular. It was a privilege to wake up and look out directly onto such a beautiful view of the estuary. Ideal location if you are intending going into the town of Cardigan or going to the beach at Poppit sands as both are within walking distance. Lovely comfortable king size bed for a great nights sleep. Enjoyed a really relaxing and tranquil 2 nights, Thank you Robbie

Romantic farm cottage near the coast, with stunning mountain views. Enjoy peace and quiet in an unspoilt landscape, yet just a short walk from the historic village of Nevern, with its ancient church and traditional pub. Nearby Newport has cafes, restaurants and galleries and is only a 5 minute drive away, as is the famous Pembrokeshire coast path. Sandy beaches, secluded coves, woodland and mountain walks are all within easy reach. A perfect retreat for a couple wanting to get away from it all.
The Cart House is stylishly furnished and thoughtfully equipped, so you can make the most of your stay in beautiful North Pembrokeshire. It's an interesting 'upside down' cottage, with the open plan living area on the first floor and the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. Both floors have doors leading to the private patio where you will find both a barbecue, table and chairs, and an array of potted plants - perfect for al fresco eating or just star gazing. The cottage has a wood burning stove for cosy evenings in by the fire and electric heating throughout. The comfortable double bed has feather duvets and pillows and crisp cotton sheets (non feather substitutes are available for allergy sufferers). The cottage is on a farm, in a very quiet and peaceful part of Pembrokeshire. Alice is also an artist and has a small studio and gallery in the farmhouse.
We are in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, world renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. Just a short walk away is the historic village of Nevern, with its family run pub, the Trewern Arms, charming St. Brynach's church, 10th century Celtic cross and 5th century Ogham Stone. A short walk from the church brings you to the ancient Pilgrims Path, used for hundreds of years by pilgrims making their way to St. Davids. You can literally follow the Pilgrims footsteps, worn away over the centuries into the slate. The path follows the banks of the beautiful Nevern river until it reaches the sea at stunning Newport Bay. There are some fabulous walks along the coastal path, as well as beaches and coves, too numerous to mention. We are a 5 minute drive to the sea and during the summer a local bus company runs a shuttle service along the coast for walkers. The Preseli Hills are also a magical place, with numerous neolithic sites dotted throughout the area and numerous footpaths and bridle ways to explore. Nearby Newport is a pretty seaside town offering a fantastic array of eateries. We also have art galleries, an antique shop, a local butcher, wholefood shop, hardware store, Post Office, Chemist and small supermarket. There's an interesting street market held every Monday and the community run Memorial Hall has a vibrant and varied mixture of cultural events and activities running throughout the year. The Cart House is a 10 minute drive from the old county town of Cardigan, which has 2 supermarkets (Tesco and Aldi) and a variety of shops along its pretty High Street. It's also worth a visit to Theatre Mwldan, which hosts a great selection of films, theatre, comedy and music events. For adventurous types there are a wealth of activities on offer, from sea kayaking and coasteering, to paragliding and surfing. Visitors to the area are often struck by something else that is rarely mentioned in the tourist brochures, and that is the warmth of the local people. We live in a very welcoming community and we all hope you'll enjoy you're stay here.

  • We had the best week relaxing in this beautiful little cottage. I’m not sure where to start! The check in process and communication with Alice was great, she met us when we arrived, showed us around and was on hand should be need anything. The cottage backs on to 3 or 4 fields which we were lucky enough to let our dog run in everyday which he loved (no sheep whilst we were there!). The cottage is small but perfectly set up with a log burner and really comfortable cosy bed. The location is a short drive from Newport where there are great pubs and a lovely beach to explore. We spent the week enjoying the coast paths, beaches and beautiful sunshine we were lucky enough to have. Can’t recommend enough! Very dog friendly!

  • Wonderful little cottage in a great location for exploring west Wales. Alice met us straight away with a warm welcome. A lovely cosy feel with a great wood burning stove that kept us warm in February. Great little kitchen with everything you would need and all other necessities including tv and wifi. It did help to have a car to explore as the closest shop/town was probably classed as unwalkable, but only a few minutes in the car. Amazing selection of pubs/restaurants nearby. We had such a lovely time!

  • Super place to stay - everything you need and close to lots of lovely places to visit.

  • We had a great long weekend at croeso cottage - it’s lovely place seemingly miles from anywhere but in reality a scenic half hour drive from all Pembrokeshire has to offer. We loved the “upside down’ feel played board games and reconnected with each other. We included some culture (st David’s catherderal) and some adrenaline (coasteering) activities and loved coming back to our secluded and cosy and clean cottage. Highly recommended

  • Meg’s place was excellent. Nice and quiet location with excellent parking. Very clean and cosy. Meg was nearby and happy to be involved as much or as little as we liked. Would come again.

  • A lovely cottage in a beautiful pocket of West Wales. Great location, perfect for exploring the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The little touches of fresh bread, butter, milk, fresh coffee, tea, eggs, and orange juice were very kind. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • Great property with superb host. Meg was really helpful in setting up a spare camp bed and a travel cot for us without prompting. Really nice touch as well of providing essentials on arrival like milk, eggs, orange juice and Welsh cakes. Thank you....

Come and escape to the Pembrokeshire Coast. Our Cedar Hut has everything you could wish for to relax and rejuvenate, think big windows, light and sunsets streaming through. Great local food, and beautiful walks means that you'll leave feeling rested and cared for. Surrounded by it's own edible garden, with fire pit and outdoor dining space for two there is nothing left for you to do other than kick back and relax.
Our bespoke built Cedar Hut has been created to allow you to relax and unwind away from the rest of the world. You look out over rolling fields towards the sea. You have a beautiful king size bed with egyption cotton sheets, big fluffy white towels and a lovely little bathroom. There is also a kitchen space should you wish to cook something delicious. The space is self catering and we do supply a loaf of homemade bread, teapigs teas, fresh coffee, organic local milk and orange juice and butter to start you off. We run a bed & breakfast in the main house though, so if you fancy being looked after a bit more, you can always choose to come up to the main house for a delicious cooked breakfast, organic cereals, local jams and marmalades and home made toast. As well as the beautiful Hut, you will have your own private little garden including a picnic area and a big fire pit. The garden surrounding the hut has been planted with a wide range of herbs, vegetables, fruits & salad and you are more than welcome to help yourself to anything during your stay. We are part of The Greener Camping Club and as part of this booking you will also receive a year long membership (£10 - which is included in the price of booking) this will give you the opportunity to go and stay in other beautiful spaces with a ethical and green outlook. For every guest we have a tree will be planted in order to offset some of our carbon footprints.
The Old Vicarage House & Huts is situated just outside the beautiful little village of Moylegrove. A stones throw from the world famous Pembrokeshire coastal path, big sandy beaches, ancient woodlands and hills there is plenty to keep you occupied whilst you're here. There is something for everyone in Pembrokeshire, whether it be walking, cycling, coasteering, kayaking, or boat trips it's all available. Similarly if you would like to take things a little easier, there are beautiful independant shops and gallaries, fabulous restaurants and cafes to explore and discover the best that Pembrokeshire has to offer you. We have plenty of books, maps and other inspiration to get you going in the main house, so just pop up and have a browse.
  • Megan's cedar hut is absolutely beautiful. The perfect getaway with everything you could need for a home away from home. It was perfectly clean and tidy, the homely touches of homemade bread, fresh eggs and veg from the garden made it so special. It was easy to find and within driving distance of some beautiful beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pembrokeshire! Thank you Megan!

  • We had such a lovely time in the beautiful cedar hut, it was fresh and clean and we loved the view of the trees when waking up! It’s so peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed using the fire pit in the evenings. Our busy cocker spaniel loved running around the large garden as well! Megan and her husband were so friendly and very helpful! A real escape and would definitely recommend.

  • Great stay at Megan’s place Beautiful hand made eco pod Amazing views from the pod Lovely and clean on arrival Welsh bathroom amenities and butter where a lovely touch Also fresh milk and orange and Home made bread were lovely. Minimal cooking facilities, only a gas job. No oven or microwave just to note as it’s hard to cook a big meal. No WiFi or tv, poor signal in the area so quite hard to plan your days out while your there. Beautiful designed, with big open windows with lovely greenery around In a remote quite area Lovely friendly family pets on site Secluded private area for guests around the pod Thank you Megan for a lovely stay!!

Characterful cottage in the heart of the gorgeous village of St Dogmaels in North Pembrokeshire. At the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. A minute from the Teifi estuary, the Abbey, and award winning local market. Close to magnificent beaches, ancient woodlands, and the wildness of the Preseli hills. My home and garden is a little haven, a relaxing base for adventures in nature. Indoor space to safely store bikes, surf boards etc.
Old fisherman’s cottage nicely converted. Light and comfortable.
The nearest beach is huge and wild. I swim in the sea as often as possible. There’s a great organic market garden/ food hub 5 minutes walk away. Cardigan has most everyday items available, parking is easy. Good cafes and bakers, Wholefood shop, 2 excellent venues. Easy low-stress pace of life.
  • Elle's place is in the ideal location in the village. It's not a cul-de-sac, but the area feels like one as it's ever so quiet there. Vehicles do pass through on the road, but you can hardly hear them. A really nice welcome awaited me at the front door and I was made to feel right at home by Elle. I was free to come and go as I pleased and with me out of the house a lot during my stay, it was convenient for me to roam in both directions of the village. Be it at the far end of St. Dogmaels or over the river at Cardigan, nowhere was far away within walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay at St. Dogmaels and Elle's place is the ideal home-from-home a visitor like myself requires when travelling the country far and wide. Highly recommended.

A pleasant ground floor flat, a stones throw from the Teifi river and the beginning of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Thirty minute walk/five minute drive to Poppit sands beach or into Cardigan. Also local are Cilgerran wildlife reserve and castle.
An open-plan self-contained flat. Bedroom/living/dining room, large well kitted-out kitchen, small bathroom, small south-facing conservatory and outside decked area.
We are in a quiet cul-de-sac, just up from the river. There are beautiful walks from just outside the door. The village has a shop, several pubs, a water mill and abbey. There is also a bakery, organic veg shop, cafe and a local market every Tuesday. Poppit sands beach is about a mile and a half away as is Cardigan town and castle. Other beaches such as Ceibwr and Mwnt are stunning, and only a short drive away. There are also many historical sites, including Pentre Ifan burial chamber.
  • Well equipped quiet apartment in a good location, great value for money.

    Alison2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great New Year’s break at Louise’s place and there was absolutely everything we needed for cooking and feeling at home. We’d happily stay again as there is so much walking and cycling to do and many other places nearby. Poppit Sands is a delight.

    Jane2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great base to explore the Cardigan area & walk the Pembrokeshire coastal way. Louise is a particularly thoughtful host & very much at hand if you need anything. The flat is cosy and well provided for, and the bed is super comfy. We would like to recommend Louise 's place as an excellent base to spend a holiday.

    Martine2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Louise is a most hospitable host, and her apartment is comfortable and well-equipped. A beautiful estuary is only a step away and the excellent town of Cardigan, which is full of cafes and shops, is five minutes distant by car. Staying at Union Terrace puts you in a good position to explore Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire. In short, Louise's apartment is highly recommended, both to holiday-makers and those wanting a quite retreat.

    Fraser2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Louise is a great host. The apartment was very clean, well equipped, comfortable and super quiet. It's in a great location for walking the beautiful Teifi estuary and stunning nearby beach and coastal path. On top of all this, Louise supplied delicious provisions, including a great range of teas and coffee, and a really good list of recommended places to visit and places to eat. Thank you!

    Chris2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Well located between Poppit sands and Cardigan, with good footpaths to both places, around the village and the coastal paths of Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. Thoughtful supplies to get you going, Louise is an excellent and responsive host.

New modern interior renovation upstairs. In a beautiful peaceful setting half way up the hill in a picturesque valley of woods and fields. Just quiet countryside and the sound of birds and nature. Under 10 minutes drive to Poppit sands beach & 15 minutes to idyllic Mwnt beach Lovely coastal walks are close by too. An easy drive to Cardigan with its supermarkets, cinema, theatre, sports centre. Only myself (the owner) in the house, so a very quiet peaceful space to relax with no disturbances.
The property is a large detached building comprising a smart modern kitchen and living room. Upstairs there is a modern smart bathroom with electric shower cubicle and bath. Please note: There is no TV in the property! My house is set in beautiful rural countryside with some wonderful wild wooded walks a few minutes up the valley. A help yourself breakfast will be laid out in the morning comprising various cereals and milk. Tea and coffee also. There is high speed fibre optic broadband / WiFi free for all guests. Plenty of parking space available in our spacious yard for up to 2 guest cars.
Very close to our house... - Historic St Dogmaels abbey is a lovely place for a picnic. - Impressive Cilgerran castle is a must-see with lovely views and medieval clothes for your kids to dress up in. Poppit sands beach is ideal for kids and only 6 minutes by car from us. - St Dogmaels local producers market is every Tuesday next to the water-mill. - You can go bird-watching or canoeing at the idyllic river Teifi at Cardigan Wildlife centre - a great place for kids too. There is even a secret little road-free wooded valley adjacent to ours, filled with wild animals, unique plants/flowers and a bubbling brook. The path starts 200m behind out house.
  • We took two rooms in Seth’s house as opposed to the holiday cottages so this review doesn’t relate to those. If it’s glitz and glamour you are after then this may not be for you. However, if you want to lower your blood pressure then this is a must - it should be prescribed on the NHS! If you want total peace and tranquility, complete silence at night, no light or noise pollution and access to walks through woodland and along the Teifi estuary then don’t miss the opportunity to stay here. This is the only Air BnB I’ve stayed in where you are encouraged to help yourselves to breakfast cereal and tea and coffee is left out for you to help yourselves. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we are over that way.

    Hilary2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Seth was an awesome Host! He went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed for an enjoyable stay! I would most certainly recommend Seth’s place to anyone staying in that area! I loved the location of his home in the country setting!

It’s very tidy and clean and has all the essentials you need for every day life. It actually looks much nicer in reality then pictures. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if come back to Wales. Beautiful part of country and lot to explore.

This is a cosy studio consisting of a double bedroom, with a comfortable king-sized double bed and an en-suite bathroom. There’s also a microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge. Tea and coffee are provided. The studio is attached to the main house, but with a separate entrance, and guests have access to a sheltered garden. The house is at the end of a stepped path, off one of the winding village roads, with a lovely view over the surrounding countryside.
The studio is next to the main house, with its own entrance, and is private and comfortable, with an en suite bathroom and a king-size double bed, and table and chairs. There’s tea, coffee, a kettle, a toaster, a small fridge and a microwave in the room. There’s a private, sheltered garden, with seating, for relaxing after a busy day. The studio is a TV-free zone, so please bring laptops/tablets for your entertainment. The studio is accessed by a stepped path, and is therefore not suitable for guests with mobility problems, or guests with small children, as it isn’t pushchair accessible.
The cottage was originally one of the many traditional fisherman's dwellings and is approached by walking up a stepped path between neighbouring cottages. It's in an elevated part of St Dogmaels, in a most idyllic setting, and benefits from the wonderful views, but is only a few minutes walk away from all the amenities of the village. St Dogmaels is a beautiful village, perfectly placed for access to the coast and the countryside. Most guests choose to eat at the ‘Ferry Inn’, which is just a ten minute walk down the hill, and has a restaurant section, with lovely views over the Teifi River. There's the Premier supermarket/grocery shop on the High Street, the award winning St Dogmaels Fish and Chip shop, and of course, St Dogmaels Abbey ruins, with the Coach House Cafe and visitor centre, which provides lovely snacks and lunches, with sunny courtyard seating. The village overlooks the Teifi River, and Poppit Sands is just a few minutes drive down the road. It's a beautiful sandy beach, and the Pembrokeshire Coastal path begins here. Just a few miles inland are the Preseli Hills, where the famous blue stones of Stonehenge were thought to have been quarried. There are a number of walks along the spine of the Preselis, with amazing views of the surrounging countryside and the sea. Next door to St Dogmaels is Cardigan town, a bustling traditional Welsh town with a central high street, with a number of artisan cafes and restaurants, and interesting independent shops, with three supermarkets on the outskirts.
  • Really beautiful little place, perfect for a solo get away and some time out. Really well laid out and peaceful, plus Janet was really communicative and gave loads of info which was reassuring. Would definitely stay again!

  • We just spent three days in Janet place, everything was perfect, the house is small but very clean with lot of character and has a really nice garden. The view from there is just amazing. The village of St Dogmael is just one mile from Cardigan and is the perfect location to travel around all the surrounding area of pembrokeshire and Cardigan bay. We would definitely come back!

A self-contained cottage, part of a larger 3 part countryhouse set in a secluded location on a hill above the picturesque village of St Dogmaels. Guests have the entire cottage adjoining our own for their own use with all amenities, fully self catering and a private entrance with own door key. Table tennis room and badminton included here too. 2.5 miles (7 MINS BY CAR) to the sea / beach / coast paths.
A very calm and peaceful little valley with several footpaths through small virgin woodlands and sleepy country lanes meandering through grassy fields. Wake up in the morning to total silence, except for the sound of the birds all around. There is a badminton / volleyball net with rackets etc and also an indoor table tennis table with bats and balls which is all available free for guest use! The tap water supply is from a deep spring under the hill (hundreds of years old) and was considered a special spring source by the local monks of the abbey nearby. The views from the windows are of nature (trees and fields) - giving a real sense of being surrounded by nature. Please note: the price does not include use of electric storage heaters (£5 extra per night) or price of logs for the woodburner (£5 per basket).
Our valley is quiet and the lane is not used as a through road so very few cars. There are a handful of other houses up and down the valley, but all very quiet and peaceful. This village is one of the safest places in Britain and is peaceful as well as idyllic.
  • This is great value accommodation in a peaceful location in an absolutely beautiful part of the world! It isn’t a hotel experience (e.g. towel and linens are well-worn and not matching) but it has an exceptionally comfortable reclining sofa, lovely new carpets, and once the new wood burner is installed the living area will be really cosy. We really enjoyed exploring the wonderful beaches nearby (Poppit Sands and Newport, but there are many more), eating traditional cawl soup in the Coach House cafe and wandering around Cardigan town. Seth is a really nice and helpful guy too.

    Amy2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet place, alot bigger than it looks on the photos. You need to follow the directions given as it is a little out of the way but certainly worth staying here.

    Dylan2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house was larger than expected in a pleasant, quiet area. Seth gave plenty of advice on local attractions and there's plenty to do nearby. Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend to all.

  • This is a real gem. Seth greeted me on arrival and shared some great local knowledge which led to a lovely Indian meal. The house was immaculate and had everything I could ask for and more. Exceeded my expections, I will definitely stay again. Thank you Seth

  • If you are looking for an amazing place in a rural setting which is also at the same time not too far away from shops, bars & restaurants, sandy beach and incredible host then your search ends here. This is the place not to be missed especially for a family. There are so many things to do around this place. Property is nicely maintained, has everything required in a holiday home. Free WiFi is like a cherry on a cake. We enjoyed our time at this property. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic family time.

    Pawan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • First and foremost, this place is an absolute bargain! I couldn't believe the size of the cottage when we arrived for the price! Seth has obviously worked really hard to make this place homely, cosy and clean and tidy. Seth was an excellent host, we booked this last minute and with it being the first time I've ever used airbnb, I was so impressed with how quick he got back to me. Seth was more than welcoming and willing to help out and even offered to buy in milk and bread for our arrival. He made us feel very welcome and at home, not having a problem with us moving the sofas around to our liking and providing cereals, homemade jams and homegrown apples - which were delicious! As well as providing us with an iron and board upon a last minute request. Seth really knows the surrounding areas well and gave us some really great tips and places to go and see. We are keen walkers and like to go places where there aren't many people, Seth suggested several coastal paths and beaches which were away from tourism and absolutely breathtaking. All in all we couldn't have been happier with our stay here and will definitely be coming back soon!! If you are looking for a getaway into the quiet country this is definitely the place to book! Cheers again Seth and we will see you soon!!!

We offer accommodation within our community on the edge of the stunning Pembrokeshire national park, great for walking, cycling, neolithic history, and beaches. Children are very welcome here as we have an outdoor play area and bushcraft centre onsite and a good community cafe with park, within short walking distance.
We are a child centered, intentional community. The living room/play room, kitchen diner and conservatory are available ON REQUEST only by guests, but you have a private room with microwave, kettle, utensils, crockery, desk, wifi, shared bathroom and outdoor lean to with sofas. We sometimes have an outside fire and the stars at night here are legendary. The long room can sleep up to 5 people with a door to an adjoining double bedroom, perfect for multi generational families, large groups, people who don't want to share the double bed in our other listing or even parents who want a separate sleeping space from the children while being nearby! The space can also sleep 2 infants in travel cots (bring your own) free of charge. We don't want anyone to be disappointed in their experience here so I want to add, that this is a community house that is lived in and used by lots of people daily on a 10 acre smallholding. We think we have prices to reflect that, so please read our reviews and decide for yourself. It is homely not spruce and we plan to update the decor as income streams allow. In the meantime I hope some of you enjoy our company and home.
We are close to the Lammas Eco Village who do tours on Saturdays throughout summer (and delicious organic produce). The area is covered in neolithic burial sites, stone circles and standing stones. We have the most amazing coastal landscape and starry night skys and the Preselli mountains are close by. The Canolfan Hermon village hall does dance classes, yoga, music events with a bar and has an awesome cafe (cegin Bella) with play park with zip line and is a 3 minute walk from our front door. 2 miles away we have a leisure centre with free swimming for kids on a saturday. Half hour away there is Bluestone leisure park with waterpark, Oakwood theme park with rides, Folly farm zoo, Manor park wildlife park.
  • I arrived really late in the evening and Klara was absolutely great. The room is large and located in the top floor so you get lots of privacy. Nice comfortable bed. The house is run by a wonderful and inspiring community, lots of children around. Really great for families. I strongly recommend Helen’s place.

  • Me the girlfriend and the three kids stayed at helens place for one night. Loved everything about the place, the house was very big with plenty of room and a massive playroom for the kids with a open house that we had full use of. As we got there we were really made to feel at home and come and go as we pleased. Outside there was acres of fields where you could stay in the yurts and fire pit which was undercover. Just outside was a brilliant playground where the kids had hours of fun. With just a short trip to the shops and take aways if needed it was an ideal location to stay with the family. Everyone there was really friendly and would highly recommend it as a family or as a couple. Will definitely be returning, here's to the next time, Thank you!

  • We only stayed one night at Helen's place, we were welcomed very warmly and got offered drink straight away, we had lovely vegetarian curry and the room was nice and comfortable, hot water in a bathroom. We chose the place because of the price and I was surprised how big and comfortable the private room was. Thanks, if that area again, will definitely stay there again.

  • Friendly people, good food and a nice quiet stay. Good community environment. And they even have some friendly chickens too. I will be staying again. Thank you. X

  • Great location and great people ! My three nights there were pleasant, I was warmly welcomed, the room was clean and the area very calm. Good location to visit the south west coast of Wales !

  • This is a communal home and a fascinating place to stay. It is a large property and we stayed just one night in the bunk room. We met some but not all of the people living on site but everyone we met was open and friendly. Our two small children were welcomed and treated with great respect. They had a fabulous time. Lucy and I enjoyed all the conversation and interaction as well. We intend to return and not just because we left our duvet there.

  • We had such a great time hanging out and getting to know Helen, Oscar and Clara! Such an amazing and hospitable group of people. They really looked after us during our stay at Fountain Hill. We especially liked their dextrous cats Many Toes and Mittens (they have opposable thumbs)! From the moment Helen opened the door we knew we'd have a great time here. Clara had cooked a vegan stew before we got their which was amazing! Gemma and I were Fountain Hill's first Air Bnb'ers and it was perfect for us. We found the private room very comfortable and the room was tidy and warm even in February - there were spare blankets if you get cold. The bathroom was also clean and equipped with a nice warm shower. We were allowed full access to the kitchen and all equipment and tea and coffee making facilities (they even got us soya and almond milk!) - there is a donations jar for a contribution towards food and drinks. The dining table is big enough for a lot of people and there is lots of space around the house free to chill or get to know other guests. There was another group of 4 when we were there which was cool and I really think that this place in the summer with a full house and full camp will be an incredible and highly inspiring place to visit - definitely worth checking this place out and getting to know everyone and what Fountain Hill is all about (we recommend some mad chats with Helen!!). The Lammas Project is also worth a visit - just 15 mins down the road, right, right, right and right (I think). We learnt how to weave willow with Cassi who is a great teacher and her husband Nigel gave us a tour of their plot of land and home - both very intersting, inspiring and down to earth people. If you want to learn about responsible/sustainable living and building communities (like we do) then Fountain Hill is a great place to stay. Equally, if you want somewhere friendly, welcoming and homely this ia a great place to stay! Our trip to Wales honestly could not have been much better and Fountain Hill made it! Thank you Helen, Oscar and Clara! I feel like we'll see each other again in the not so distant future! Big love, Gemma and Theo x

Brithdir Mawr is an Eco-Community formed in 1994, currently 13 adults and 5 children. We live on an 80 acre restored farm nestled at the foot of Carn Ingli in Pembrokeshire National Park. The Community is off grid for electricity and uses the water from the mountain spring. We have outdoor composting toilets and bathrooms with showers that guests share with the rest of the Community. We have a four private rooms available, plus a dormitory space. This posting is for our Dorm Room.
If you are interested in community living or self-sufficiency this is the place for you. We have been a community for over twenty years you can learn more about us by joining one of our tours or even volunteering here. Have a look on our website for more details. We also run training courses and events which could help to make your trip a really memorable experience. The Dorm room is on the top floor of our main Community farmhouse. The accommodation is very basic; a mattress either on the floor or a basic wooden frame, with no sink, cooking facilities or space heating; and you may find yourself sharing with up to 4 others. Two sky lights provide excellent light during the day or a fantastic view of the starry sky at night, and there are electric lights for other times. More sturdy and weather proof than a tent, but still at campsite prices! This listing is for 1 single mattress, however the room sleeps up to 5. If you want to book the Dorm for more than 1 person, you'll also need to book on our other Dorm room listings. We absolutely love it here and hope you will too. We look forward to sharing it with you!
We live in a beautiful area of Pembrokeshire National Park, next to Carn Ingli and the Preseli Mountains. Ty Cannol, an ancient oak woodland, and the stunning coastline are both within walking distance, as is the charming village of Newport, boasting a fine array of pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Pembrokeshire Coastal path was recently voted one of the top ten long distance walks in the world. There is minimal light pollution here, so the night skies can be breath taking, and there is always loads of wildlife to see and hear, including dormice, bats and owls.

The living room/play room, kitchen diner and conservatory are available for use by guests by REQUEST ONLY, but you have your private room with desk, wifi, microwave, kettle, the garden, the outdoor lean to with sofas, and toys and book on request. We sometimes have an outside fire and the stars at night here are legendary. The triple room can sleep up to 4 with the addition of a floor mattress (provided) and also one infant in a travel cot (bring your own). We don't want anyone to be disappointed in their experience here so I want to add, that this is a community house that is lived in and used by lots of people daily on a 10 acre smallholding, we think we have prices to reflect that, so please read our reviews and decide for yourself.
  • Perfect for a getaway from the stresses of everyday life. A wonderful welcome awaits especially for children

  • Delightful to stay in this friendly community space. Dinner was great and the cats were super cute.

    Claire2018-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • I was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed eating with all the residents and guests together. The bathroom is very modern and clean and the house is traditional and quaint. There is lots going on in the community and I would recommend this listing for young families and for people who are community minded and enjoy an alternative lifestyle. At the same time I do want to comment that Aya has worked very hard to achieve high standards for Airbnb guests and it's as good as any place I have stayed and more interesting. .

  • The airbnb is as described but for the price was exactly what we needed. The place was incredibly friendly and we were made to feel at home including being helped out of a tricky situation.

  • Loved our stay in Andy’s place! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a break with and without their dogs. Looking forwards to returning in the summer :)

  • Fantastic little cabin, would recommend to anyone.

    Nigel2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at this little barn. Perfectly placed to explore Pembrokeshire. We really appreciated the little touches like the cake and milk, as well as Andy's recommendations for local restaurants and hiking! Would definitely recommend!

  • We had such a wonderful time! The whole experience from communication in the lead up to our trip, to check in, local recommendations and the stay itself was amazing. Really great hosts and a beautiful little home. It was spacious, clean, cosy, warm and had everything you need! The local area is stunning and we enjoyed watching the birds through the window as they came to the feeder. Lots of lovely home touches including milk and bara brith too which was delicious. Thank you! We'll be back very soon I'm sure!

    Elinor2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed for two nights at Ysguborbach with our dog, Rolo. Andy was very helpful with directions before we arrived and gave us a warm welcome on arrival. We were provided with Bara brith, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, and dog treats. The room has been decorated to a high standard and it was very comfortable. The courtyard is fenced which was perfect for Rolo as we could let him out without the worry of him roaming too far. The location is good with Poppit Sands Beach and Newport Beach both a short drive away. There are also a few pubs less than a ten minute drive away, we went to the Golden Lion which served very nice food. We would definitely recommend Ysguborbach and will hopefully stay there again in the near future :-)

    Aaron2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really good, warm accommodation. Very thoughtful, stayed for misses birthday / valentine's Day. Love the touch of Bara-birth. Would happily stay again.

  • Had a fantastic stay at Ysgubor Bach! Andy greeted us and our furry friend on arrival, showed us to our accomodation and where everything was located. Ysgubor Bach has everything you could possibly need, comfy bed, kitchen, internet access and TV with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. Andy also provided some really thoughtful touches, a loaf of bara brith, tea & coffee, a jug of milk and even some treats for our dog. Would thoroughly recommend staying at Ysgubor Bach, Andy was a super host!

    Matt2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect and well thought out hut, clean modern and very welcoming! Andy was a great host with plenty of info and assistance if required but otherwise we were left to ourselves to enjoy this great hut. Had all we needed. Will use again.

A gorgeous hand crafted cabin. Views to the Preseli hills. Own garden and wood fired bath. 15 minutes drive to stunning coast. A really comfortable and simple place to stay. Great if you want peace, quiet and privacy. It has a comfortable king size bed and an extra single bed can be put in on request. There's a little wood stove for heating and firewood is supplied. There's a compost toilet and a warm shower. There is a well equipped kitchenette plus a parking space for your car.
This is a beautiful cosy cabin - good for an intimate retreat or creative space. Well behaved pets are welcome.
Very rural, lots of country and coastal walks. Close to beaches, forest and river walks.
  • Wonderful hosts, amazing place. Couldn't fault a single thing. Loved it.

    Nerissa2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and secluded. Great base for exploring the local area and extremely relaxing. The shack has everything that you need, including a lovely hot shower and wood burning fire. Great for those cold stormy nights even they couldn’t spoil the atmosphere the shack has. Defiantly would recommend.

    Sophie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to find. Feels remote but is a short drive from anything you need. Good for a walkers holiday. Beautiful views. Lots of site seeing opertunies. The log burner was lovely and heated the place well. Was really nice to get away from the world to relax.

    Zoe2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. Ruth and John were extremely helpful and informative. The cabin is rustic but very cosy which is its charm. The stove was awesome and the outdoor heated bath was blissful. Even Storm Dennis conditions we were unbothered and left thoroughly relaxed. Will be back!

    Jessica2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Well that was a wonderful stay, one of the best places I've stayed ever! We stayed at the love shack for 4 nights last week and totally loved everything about the cabin and local area. The cabin is beautifully constructed and full of thoughtful touches and top quality amenities - the bed is super comfy! The eco-ness of it was really enlightening, and so good to be more aware of how we live. It was really magical to wake up with views over the fields and hills, get the wood fire started and enjoy our daily morning visit from Brian the cat. Everything you need is in the cabin, for cooking and chilling, and Ruth and John had some fab tips for local walks. Oh and the wood fired bath was brilliant! A hot bath, outside, in February, star and moon gazing, was an experience I'll never forget. Thank you Ruth and John for creating such a special space! I am 100% sure we'll be back! Xx

    Anne-Marie2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth & John's place is the perfect getaway from the stresses of modern life. The cabin was beautifully designed, clean and cosy and very welcoming. The woodburner was great and heated the cabin really well; we were lovely and warm the whole time. There is a very cute, cheeky cat called Brian who visited us daily for cuddles and to sit by the fire. The Love Shack is a wonderful little place and Ruth & John were very good hosts. We hope to return to this magical, peaceful place. Thank you.

  • Excellent location with outstanding views!

    Daniel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely gorgeous location. The Welsh winds and rain raged outside, but once we got the fire going, it was cosy inside. Nici was helpful and easy to contact by text.

    Jenn2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was as romantic and magical as we had hoped it to be. We absolutely loved the accommodation and the position it was in, honestly you couldn’t wish for more. Gwen met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome, she gave us some recommendations for places to eat and beaches to walk on. We loved the rustickness of the décor, the log fire was a real treat and to sink into the hot tub and hear the water from the river and watch the wildlife all around you was just breath-taking. A perfect place to relax and recoup, I would highly recommend a stay here and if you’re a wildlife fan then you couldn’t position yourself in any better place. We saw Otters in the morning bathing, a fox that liked to come and explore Infront of you, squirrels, Herons, buzzards and lots lots more. Thank you for a truly magical & memorable stay.

  • Lovely cottage with amazing views!

    Laura2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful stay here. We were looking for a weekend getaway with our dog, somewhere quiet and out of the way, but still somewhere close by to walking trails, beaches, and shops. This cottage checked every single box. The hot tub was so relaxing, the view was incredible, and it was surprisingly close to plenty of shops. We felt totally removed from the hustle and bustle, but we were only a quick drive from everywhere we needed to go. The cottage itself is well equipped to cook full meals, and was cosy by the TV for the evenings. The view of the river was amazing, and our dog loved exploring the yard. Nici was so quick to reply to any questions I had, the communication was really great. We will definitely be coming back :)

    Emma2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here for a long weekend in September. The views are fantastic, you can sit outside and watch the tide come in and out with swans, geese, herons and ducks filling the shores. The Hot Tub is perfect for relaxing in and watching the stars, you don’t feel at all overlooked, you could be miles from anywhere. The animals on the farm, namely Chief the dog and Lucy and Dylan the Goats wander round and nap in the sun. We loved them and felt very honoured when they would wander down to our cottage for a visit. We met Gwen who was on hand to offer lots of local knowledge, she’s lovely and made us feel very welcome. There is a local dog friendly sandy beach about 5 mins drive from the house which was great for a sunny afternoon. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back.

    Isla2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly a diamond in the Airbnb rough! Most places advertised oversell their space, this place is probably undersold. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings and a hot tub overlooking it all. A beautiful, peaceful place to stay, you honestly won't regret coming here.

    James2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really wonderful! The last footage next to the river with unspoilt views and free access down the the river. Relaxing hot tub and so much wildlife to enjoy. There are a few nature reserves neat by too. Super hosts and a very friendly welcome. We'll hopefully return again!!
