Places to stay in New Horton
This cottage is located on the Bay of Fundy and has an ocean view. It has beach access from the front of the property. Enjoy a long walk on the beach when the tide is out or explore the rocks. If you want a quiet peaceful getaway or a perfect spot for a family gathering, this is the place. Fundy National Park is a 5 minute drive away, where you can hike, swim, play tennis or golf. The best thing about the cottage is that it is a private getaway.
Our cottage is 962sqft with 4 bedrooms. There are two bedrooms down stairs one with a double bed and the other with 3 single bunk beds. Upstairs has one room with a double bed and a single bunk on top and the other bedroom has a queen bed with a balcony looking out over the ocean. The living room and kitchen are open and comfortable. The bathroom is on the main floor. Also, we have an outdoor shower for sandy beach feet.
  • This is a great cottage and a perfect location! The place is beautiful and spotless.

  • This is our second time staying at this location and love it. It is very clean, the beds are comfy, and the location is great! The view from this location is amazing and I would recommend this location to anyone!

  • Perfect spot for a couple or a family exploring Fundy National Park. Clean, quiet, beach access, fire pit, outdoor space, big sky, cozy, comfortable. Shop before you arrive. Spend some time every day on the beach. It’s amazing.

  • This is a great spot for a family getaway!

    Jessie2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The location and truly spectacular beach, not to mention the well-kept and lovely cabin, make this the best place to stay if you plan on visiting Fundy and environs. Loved the privacy and found our stay comfortable and home-ey. 10/10 would stay again

    Cameron2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 3 nights at this amazing location. House had all the basic amenities. The view and location is just stunning. The private beach is so spectacular at low tide. I agree this is the best house in Bay of Funday!

    Kim2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view of the ocean just outside of Alma. Alma is the cutest town and this is the perfect place to experience true New Brunswick/Fundy Oceanside.

    Tara2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • All the great reviews just don’t prepare you for just how beautiful Julie’s place is. The home is uber clean, beautifully appointed with personal touches everywhere. The beach is like nothing you have seen. The scale and magnitude and ruggedness rival Hopewell Rocks but with solitude. The beach in front of Julie’s cottage could be a tourist attraction in itself. We were sad to leave but look forward to returning.

  • Had an amazing weekend at Ben’s guest house! Certainly barebones and rustic, but very clean and comfortable. Quirky, cute, spacious, unique... there’s a lot that can be said about this cool house. Ben couldn’t have been friendlier. He met me when I arrived, had the wood stoves burning, and was there to provide tips about seeing the local sights. Convenient to both Alma/Fundy National Park and the Hopewell Rocks area (which he even gave me a free pass to!). Would definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area. Thanks, Ben!

  • Perfect place to stay at least for a night if you want the true feeling of being out in the bush of the rural maritimes.

    Matt2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • To fully experience the tides at Hopewell Rocks/Bay of Fundy you need at least one full day. Don’t waste your time driving from some far away location! Ben’s place is SO CLOSE to both Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National park that it’s a no brainer to stay there. Tons of space and while it might not have all the comforts of a city house, that’s not why you are travelling is it? So cook your meals on the BBQ, have a fire, look at the stars, wake up before anyone else and just listen to the silence. Can’t wait till the cabin gets finished up!

    Tyler2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing spot. Off the beaten track, but close to so many amazing spots on the Bay. The house is a destination unto itself. Full of character and soul, a real treat. Lots of room to spread out and relax, with berry picking on and around the property at the right times of year. Cosy and rustic, with an incredible host with great knowledge of the area. Highlight of our road trip.

    Matthew2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was a great host. The place was as described. Camp like atmosphere with lots of space. We really enjoyed the place. Large kitchen and dining area Nice fire pit Close to all the activities we wanted to do. We went horseback riding, hiking at Fundy, visited crooked creek and Hopewell Rocks.

    John2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very secluded and therefore very quiet. The description etc. is accurate. Ben is a very nice guy, who knows a lot about the area and can give you many tips.

    Jan2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Location is great. We spent the day in St. Martins Sea Caves and the Bay of Fundy Parkway. Had dinner in Alma and we never felt rushed to check in. Ben was great at responding to messages and gave great tips. We were so close to Hopewell Rocks and other amazing places to visit. We were traveling with a dog and the property was perfect for her to run around. She jumped in the pond on the property several times. I was able to take her on beautiful long walks on the road the house was on. She saw many bunnies!

    Karen2019-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was great with recommendations! And even had a little boat we were able to paddle on! We also had a little fire, really great location for visiting Fundy National Park and then on to Hopewell Rocks! Thanks!!

  • We had a great stay at the farmhouse. Super location, about halfway between Hopewell Rocks and Fundy park. Clean, comfortable bed, good shower, big kitchen and awesome views. This is an older house. The foundation is settling so the floors are a little funky. You may not wish to stay here if you are expecting the ritz Carlton, but everything works and it is clean. We have stayed at 16 Airbnb , our stay at the farm was one of our favorites. We loved the cows, the great sunsets, great star gazing and just a relaxing place to come back to after a day of exploring.

    Richard2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Farmhouse is in a good location for exploring the local area and there are lovely views across the farm lands. Kelly was a great host. This is a great place for families or groups of friends to stay.

    Luanne2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • My family of four enjoyed our farmhouse experience at Kelly’s place. She was a perfect host. The expansive views are very relaxing – sunset was spectacular. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring both Fundy National Park and the Hopewell area: just a short half hour drive, yet very rural.

    Diana2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Picturesque location and very close to the National Park.

  • We had a great time watching the hummingbirds and experiencing the quiet. The location was perfect for all the places we wanted to get to. Hopewell Rocks is such a wonderful natural wonder. The house is enormous. The four of us never had to use the upper floor.

  • A perfect spot especially if hosting a large group. Great location to explore bay if Fundy. Private and cozy.

    Jon2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The privacy and location of this cabin can’t be beat. We loved exploring cape enrage, the cute little town of Alma and the surrounding scenery can’t be beat. There were nice touches like plenty of board games, a fire pit and a front porch swing to have your morning coffee on.

    Mary2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, private and has everything you need.

    Ritchie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s place was perfect for us— four women who have been hiking together for 30 years. We loved the wooden interior charm. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The gathering spaces were good. We only wish we could have enjoyed her decks and yard more—too cold & rainy. We loved Karen’s cottage & highly recommend it despite some minor shortcomings such as a missing wine opener, very few leftover basics like cooking oils , etc

    Carol2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Awsome place for kids

Thoroughly cleaned and disinfected home. With a virus on our hands, we will fight back. Our cleaners work above and beyond the rest to ensure a safe, clean, disinfected environment to put your mind at ease while travelling during this time. Astounding cabin furnished to an impeccable standard. Located in a beautiful open forest, it’s the ideal retreat for a laidback & secluded stay. Perfectly situated “away from it all,” we offer a unique escape. The nature in the area is immaculate. A wonderful chalet experience. Tucked away in Riverside-Albert, offering some stunning scenery. A guaranteed charmer if you are looking for a different kind of visit. With four distinct seasons, any time during the year is a great time to visit. So drop by, anytime. Hope to see you soon!
This cabin in the woods is spacious both inside and outside. The property is a great place to bring your ATVs in the spring summer and fall but a phenomenal winter haven for snowmobiles. The NB trail system is just across the street. The SENBSA ((URL HIDDEN) "the best snowmobiling in the east" clubhouse is 1 KM from the property. As well for the summer vacationers there are many popular tourist attractions within 20 to 30 KM you will find the Hopewell Rocks ((URL HIDDEN) the highest tides in the world. The Waterside beach and winery. Alma for sea kayaking rentals and Fundy Naional Park. After a day of adventure return to a chalet with a warm fire and a hot tub for total relaxation.
This is a remote location with a few other camps and homes within a few km. It would meet expectations of "getting away from hustle and bustle of the fast pace of life, like work, traffic and neighbours. You will feel the nature and serenity of the mountain and the woods. Make sure you bring enough food and supplies for a few days so you don't have to go to the City or town for supplies. But if you do, the closest convenience store is 10 km down the mountain to Riverside Albert.
  • Amazing spot! Sparkling clean and very cozy

    Merel2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We have never stayed in a cleaner Airbnb and the hospitality was first class. Elise made us feel at home and her breakfast was wonderful. She made the best blueberry muffins and sent us on our way with the rest of the muffins! The remodeling was so well done and the decor was so tasteful.

    Janine2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick & Eliza have a wonderful property. You will be met by goats & chickens, and the smiling Eliza was there to greet us in person. We also got to chat with Patrick & Eliza about the working farm they run as well. Everything was warm & comfortable. The bed was very cozy, and the bathroom was fully equipped, with a great shower. This was a magnificent stay!

    Terry2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculate and comfortable. Great deep bathtub!

    Deborah2019-10-05T00:00:00Z

  • A perfect host, a historically beautifully renovated home and a terrific breakfast.

  • Chantal is a perfectly lovely host. She greeted us warmly, gave us a tour and introduced us to the animals. Her place is charming, comfortable and filled with small thoughtful touches. Breakfast is very good. If you like culture, hospitality, hearing the rooster crow in the morning and donkey sing, then you will likely have a lovely experience.

    Margi2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Chantal's! Very attentive and very helpful, it was great! Thank you again for all!

    David2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying in the Green Room at Chantal's. Our fellow houseguest, Raj, summed up a stay at Chantal's perfectly: "This is ‘the’ place to stay in NB. The best AirB&B experience by far. Especially for animal lovers." Indeed, we thoroughly enjoyed getting a tour of Chantal's hobby farm--her furry and feathered friends are a delight. And we absolutely loved our two hour horseback ride beside the Bay of Fundy, courtesy of Broadleaf Ranch, which is only a 2 minute drive away from Chantal's. However, we would add that Chantal herself is key to making this place "the" place to stay in NB. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her guests have a great stay, generously sharing not only her home but her time, heart and spirit. I was particularly intrigued to learn that Chantal is of Acadian heritage and that the area surrounding the village of Riverside-Albert is the site of an Acadian settlement called Chipoudie, dating back to 1700-1755. Chantal can fill you in on all this history of the region, if like me, you're interested in history. For example, I found it very interesting to know that the dikes upon which my daughter and I rode our horses were made by ingenious Acadian settlers about 250 to 300 years ago, in an effort to make the marshes more suitable for farming. Right next to Chantal's home, you will find a monument honouring the original Acadian families of this region. We highly recommend a stay at Chantal's for its mix of history, nature, animals and heart!

    Candace2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Chantal is an experienced and very thoughtful landlord, worried that we can't understand English and have prepared a Chinese friend to help with the translation. The rooms are well equipped, clean and tidy, there are desserts and biscuits when I stay (my wife likes the biscuits of this taste), breakfast is rich, Chantal also sends fresh eggs under the chicken and duck, and the decoration of the country house gives A sense of history, I like it very much!

    Defeng2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Warm and friendly welcome, a lovely Victorian mansion, beautiful, clean and comfortable bedroom, modern bathroom maintaining its Victorian charm and decor, incredible breakfast, and delightful hostess full of helpful information about surrounding environs and activities. You will never regret this choice!

    Paul2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Chantal is a wonderful host who makes you feel like you're at home. You will have the pleasure of sleeping in a very comfortable room, and you will have the chance to see some animals (chickens, goats, ducks and a donkey) in this enchanting place. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

    Jonathan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Chantal's house is beautiful, the decor is like a trip back to the early 1900s. It is well situated close to Hopewell Rocks for the Fundy visitor. The kitchen was easy to use, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was very good. Chantal was a great hostess, went above and beyond for us during our stay. We also enjoyed meeting the denizens of the barn :-)

    Peter2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Chantal has created a place that makes you feel at home at every turn. The beds are comfortable, the wonderful bathroom blends century and modern, the kitchen is funky and functional with traditional flair. We had fun frying freshly-laid duck eggs for breakfast! Chantal expertly matched our travel wishes with local attractions and opened our eyes to ones we would not have found. Her suggestions led us to happily stay an extra night. As an Airbnb host myself, I whole-heartedly recommend this gem of a place.

  • Lovely and charming place to stay. Close to Hopewell Rocks. The host had great tips for hikes, places to eat, and other suggestions.

    Jackie2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nick's farm is a wonderful and special place - I immensely enjoyed staying there. It is important that you read the full description though so you know what you're in for, especially the shared bathroom on the first floor, where lines can form sometimes. I didn't have any problem with this though. This certainly is not your average Airbnb - Nick provides you with the full farm experience, including lots of friendly animals to cuddle, homemade honey and fresh bread every morning, and the opportunity to join the communal breakfast and get to know the other guests on the farm. Nick is extremely knowledgeable and gave me lots of useful tips, such as when to best visit Hopewell Rocks to avoid the crowds or where to get the best seafood and snacks. I wish I could have stayed longer and explore more of the area. Thanks Nick for offering such a unique experience! Merci beaucoup!

  • Beautiful home near Hopewell Rocks. Lovely, informative host! We even had fresh baked bread in the morning. Would highly recommend staying with Nick!

  • Thanks again to you, we had a great time! We had a great welcome, we felt like home. Nick is a great cook, I really recommend trying his lobster on the grill! The farm is very well located, 15min from Hopewell Rocks and 20min from Fundy National Park. And Nick will help you know the best times to watch the tides without seeing too many tourists!

    Cécilia2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is not just a stop for the night, Nick makes it an experience. From cooking together and getting to know the other guests, to witnessing a working farm and seeing the animals, this place is delightful! I highly recommend the lobster dinner!

  • Diana & Art's place is a real gem. It's got a separate bedroom and living area. It is beautifully decorated in a nautical theme and it really shows that a lot of thought and effort went into it. They also provided a continental breakfast which is a nice touch. It was sparkling clean as well which is the most important thing for me in an Airbnb.

  • Art is a very good host & is prompt with his communication. The location is ideal for visiting Hopewell Rocks & Fundy National Park.

  • This is such a lovely and cosy place to stay! We had everything we needed for our breakfasts. Perfect to visit the area (Fundy NP, horseback riding, Hopewell Rocks). Thanks Art!

    Michèle2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • The space was exactly as described, many cute ocean and beach touches. Art was very easy to get in touch with and recommended a great local ranch to eat at, with times of closing, etc. Check-in was easy, Art was there to greet us and make sure we were all good to go! This place is very close to the Hopewell Rocks and the Bay of Fundy! Great spot to stay if you are touring the area, especially if you're wishing to see both high tide and low tide. I would highly recommend this place, if travelling through I would stay again!

    Michelle2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Art's place. The room was perfectly clean and cosy with a lot of love for details. Art was truly welcoming and had really good tips on what to do and where to go. If we ever come back to the area, we'll definitely stay there again!

1870's former ship-captain's home located on scenic Route 915 halfway between Fundy National Park and The Hopewell Rocks in Albert County, NB. We are 2km from Mary's Point Bird Sanctuary and 15 minutes from Cape Enrage. We welcome anyone that doesn't mind cats, dogs, and chickens on the property. Although you will have complete privacy in your own 2 bedroom home, we live in an attached addition and so are easily found for any assistance you may need.
The original house was built by a member of the Smith Family (patriarch is buried in HaHa cemetery). Although the house has been updated to include a modern three piece bath and a fully equipped kitchen, the high ceilings and original detailing gives the house an antique flavor.
Our house is on the Fundy Coastal Drive. We are 25k east of Alma village; the gateway to Fundy National Park, and about an equal distance from The Hopewell Rocks where you can walk the ocean floor. Alma boasts a number of restaurants, a gas station, and a convenience store. Riverside-Albert, 6k further east also has a gas station/convenience store and an NB liquor store. The nearest supermarket is in Hillsborough; 25k past Riverside-Albert. Mary's Point bird sanctuary and it's world famous sandpiper migration that takes place from mid-July to mid-August is 2k away. We are surrounded by the Shepody National Wildlife Area and the Fundy Biosphere Reserve. There are fascinating hikes that you can take from the doorstep or a short drive down the road.
  • This was the most wonderful experience I had ever had at Airbnb. Dejah is a very kind and thoughtful host. They provide not only cozy, clean, delicate rooms, but also fresh farm eggs, breads, milk, cookies, self made jams, butter, etc. Much more than the basic supplies used to be given by most of Airbnb’s. I’ll highly recommend you to experience a great stay!

    Yutong2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay with welcoming friendly hosts! A very clean and tastefully decorated home in a fantastic rural setting. The homemade bread and cookies, and fresh eggs were wonderful. A pleasure to stay here.

  • A lovely home located close to many attractions including hopewell rocks. We travelled with young children and really appreciated the toys, dollhouse, books and board games. The eggs, bread, cookies etc were also much appreciated! Many decorative items, needed to watch children closely near them and also going up and down the stairs. The home felt like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend to friends and family visiting the area.

    Liz2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice house, very clean, very caring and thoughtful host.

    Maria2019-08-15T00:00:00Z

    Nathalie2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Dejah's place is wonderful - charming old farmhouse, beautifully decorated and with lots of thoughtful touches. When we arrived we were greeted by a cat on the front porch, and throughout our stay we enjoyed watching all of the hummingbirds outside. Dejah was also kind enough to share eggs, milk, jam, etc. with us. Overall a great place to relax and explore the Bay of Fundy area and definitely a stay that we will never forget!

Gorgeous, secluded, tiny home-type cabin with a Lighthouse theme. Hiking/Biking/Snowshoeing trails and horseback riding on the property. Close to Fundy National Park, Hopewell Rocks and Cape Enrage.
  • We had such an amazing experience weathering the snow storm in a lighthouse. It was cozy and the fireplace was wonderful. The lighthouse was a little hard to find at night so make sure you check in with Wendy. She stayed late and made sure we found our way. Thanks Wendy!

  • Our first Airbnb stop on our East Coast Adventure. I fell in love with this tiny house lighthouse and it didn’t disappoint!! The tiny house has all the amenities necessary for our family of 4 stay. This spot was midway between Fundy and Cap Enragé which made our trip easier to navigate. Free fire wood was an added bonus.

    Denise2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Truly camping in a luxury Tiny Home, so clean so new so fun, campfires with free wood.... we’re bringing the kids next time!!!

  • Amazing place to stay. The view is very beautiful. Well situated, it’s 20 min drive both side of Hopewell Rock and cap enragé. The lighthouse provides everything you need to enjoyed your stay. However, the bathroom is really small and it was very difficult to wash our 3 years old boy in the shower.

Welcome to the Mary's Point Country Cottage, a 185-year old farm house overlooking beautiful Shepody Bay (part of the Bay of Fundy) where visitors can witness the world's highest tides. Situated amidst beautiful rolling hills and marshlands of south-eastern New Brunswick, this lovely rural cottage is centrally located and close to parks (The Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National Park), beaches, lighthouses (including Cape Enrage), artisan studios and the protected Mary's Point Shorebird Reserve.
  • Hunting camp super well equipped for cooking. Not too far from Hopewell and rocks in the Bay of Fundy. Know that there is no grocery store in this village, but it was not a problem for us. The beds are very comfortable and it has a beautiful view of Shepody Bay. I recommend this place without hesitation,

    Marcelle2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Check in was easy and our host was friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, so much to explore. 3 nights was not nearly enough.

    Matt2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We rented this space for a gathering of friends and family. It had everything we needed for a fun weekend. Great kitchen for group food prep and the barn made it possibly for our group to stay up and play music, while others slept in the cottage. We had a great weekend!

    Karen2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice quite and safe place for the kids to run around and play. We really enjoyed seeing the nature such as deer and blue jays. It was a great location to venture out for the day and see the local attractions. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Dana.

    Kevin2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Dana's place. We thought the house was very comfortable and spacious for our party of 7. The kitchen had all of the items needed to prep & cook meals and we loved the living room area with the TV and bar in the night time. But our favorite part of the house was the amazing view of oceans, mountains, rolling fields and the amount of land around the house provided a relaxing and peaceful stay. We spent most of our time relaxing on the deck and even had eagles flying overhead while we drank our morning coffee. The area, while close to Bay of Fundy park, was very remote and there were NO stores anywhere (besides a gas station convenience store). Just make sure you bring a cooler & stop ahead of time at a large grocery store. We came from Boston so stopped a good hour away in Sussex, which had everything we needed for our stay. The only downside was no a/c or fans, washing machine in a very old basement & the bugs that came out at dusk that made it impossible to stay on the beautiful deck. Overall, we were very happy staying at this house & would recommend it!

    Michele2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Dana’s place is beautiful! It’s situated perfectly to see all that the Bay of Fundy has to offer. We had a tremendously fabulous time.

    John2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of four loved our stay at Dana’s cottage. Dana met us on arrival, and took time to answer all of our questions. We enjoyed talking with her very much. The cottage is set up for a large group (up to 11 in twin beds), but was comfortable for our family with teenagers, with the kids getting to stay their own rooms. It does have stairs (all of the bedrooms are upstairs, and there are steep stairs to the laundry in the basement), so it would be best for people without mobility challenges. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and accessories—I was surprised to spot a rolling pin, pastry cutter, and pie tins. There’s a nice washer and dryer in the unfinished basement. The best part about our stay was the peace and quiet of the beautiful setting. We heard nothing but bird songs (and once or twice coyotes singing!) during the night. You can see sweeping views of the tides from the large windows, as well as wildlife such as deer. The location is fairly remote—the nearest “modern” grocery when approaching from the south is 1 hour 15 minutes away, so it’s best to get your provisions together before you visit. There is a gas station and convenience store about 3 (?) miles away, though. The cottage is very convenient to Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park and Bay of Fundy National Park. It’s a great place to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life.

  • Melanie and Santos were amazing hosts. The room was beautiful and clean - not to mention felt completely private from the rest of the house - and the perfect place to rest our heads after a day of hiking the Fundy trails. They helped with recommendations and even gifted us some homemade muffins to go with our coffee in the morning. We will definitely be back!

    Sarah2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie is a charming, generous host. The suite has everything you need, and it is peaceful and quiet. This location is perfect for enjoying the gorgeous scenery. The children are beautifully mannered and adorable. We loved our visit here. Thank you, Melanie and Santos!

    Wayne2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Melanie and Santos was one of our favorite and most memorable AirBNB experiences. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean, with a nicely remodeled bathroom, but it was the hosts that really made a difference. We really enjoyed getting to know them, to hear their story and to be inspired by their vision for family and community. It is a wonderful thing to meet people who dare to live differently, who pursue their dreams with grateful hearts.

    Keith2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Two words. Book it. The room was way better than the pictures. Mel was very hospitable and greeted us in person along with her beautiful family and provided absolutely everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The space was huge, spotless, and had great views of the farm and their cute hens and ducks. The location was perfect as it was only 20 minutes drive to Alma, hopewell rocks, and many other local attractions. We are sad we had one night only at this beautiful farm retreat and hope to go back some day.

  • Melanie and Santos home is warm and inviting and we had the best sleeps we've had while on holidays. We liked having a washer/dryer at one end of our large room. We were so impressed by the way Santos has restored and continues to restore this 1847 year old home. He is doing an amazing job. Melanie is very kind and helpful and they have a lovely family.

The views of the Bay of Fundy are fantastic. We really enjoyed both the living space and the area. It offers great proximity to many things to experience the Bay of Fundy.

  • It was perfect

    Gilda2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The inn is situated in a lovely rural setting on a hillside overlooking the bay. Although we did not have the time to explore them, our host provided a map for the trails across her private property and down to the beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed the special touches, such as the beautiful birch tree handrails and pedastle sink supports, as well as the delicious farm-fresh eggs and homemade bread and jam for breakfast. Yum!!!

    Diane2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Karin was particularly kind and generous and offerred us little treats from time to time. Site was very unique and interesting. Lots to explore on the beaches on her property - about a 7 minute walk. Easy access to Mary's Point, Cap Enrage and Hopewell Rock (highly recommended). Very limited provisions available in Alma. Alittle better in Riverside Albert. Better to stock up in Sussex or bigger town if you plan to cook. All rooms looked fine. We stayed in the Stargazer and were very comfortable.

  • Excellent location. Fabulous hostess and in a great position for travelling to local areas.

    Penny2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Charming and cozy, our room was very clean and included many thoughtful touches. Fresh cut flowers, homemade jelly (in addition to the provided fresh eggs, bread and coffee), books and movies all help to make you feel right at home. The loft offered a nice private sleeping and relaxation area for our daughter, and the windows provided a continuous gentle breeze throughout the room. Karin was a very hospitable hostess with great knowledge and candid recommendations about points of interest and dining out. The grounds provided a relaxing atmosphere, and would highly recommend the short hike from her gardens to the beaches for a more private and secluded experience. There are several artisans and galleries worth checking out in the vicinity, including Karin’s own pottery shop, and some great restaurants in nearby Alma, about 20 min away. Waterside beach was beautiful, as an option for those not wanting to hike. Hopewell Rocks was spectacular, but you are sharing the attraction with hundreds and hundreds of people... ideally low tide coincides with the opening of the park at 8:00am, the day of your visit, so that you can plan to arrive early and depart before the crowds become overwhelming. Overall we had a wonderful time exploring the area, and staying with Karin was a very positive experience that we would highly recommend.

She welcomed us and provided details about the place. Don’t miss the vast private beach that was the cherry on top of our vacation. Thank you Karin. Our vacation at New Horton is truly memorable.

  • We're really enjoyed our stay there. The place was cozy, clean and convenient, with great views and a trail away from a beach. Karin was a great host and even offered us some of her freshly picked blueberries; she cares about who comes in and how comfortable they feel. For those wondering, it's about a 20 min drive to Fundy National Park and about 30 min the other way to reach Hopewell Rocks. I highly recommend it to anyone else and would definitely go there again.

    Rony2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This room was very nice and in a very good location for the Hopewell Rocks, just several miles away. The path from the location down to the beach is also very interesting, as it gives a view of the undeveloped coast. Karin is a great host.

    Susan2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Don't miss out on the trail through the woods that takes you in a matter of minutes to three interesting beaches where you can watch the amazing tides with not a soul in sight.

    Tony2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem and Karin was lovely, welcoming and helpful. The private beach is a reasonable 5-10 min walk thru the forest and opens up onto an incredible beach that goes in forever. We didn’t need to leave to find adventure! The beach is a great place to watch the tides and there are miles of rock to climb on with tons of incredible fossils at your finger tips. Great photo ops. Mosquitos are a bit intense but worth it! Will definitely be back.

    Lindsay2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • A nice calm place to stay with a beautifull walk to the beach and around a small island.

    Carla N Greg2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house which is furnished exquisitely. We loved the dog, ducks and the goats. Chantal provided a great breakfast, including farm fresh eggs and give us several tips for our upcoming route. She and her home were a pleasure!

    Karen2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Chantal's place was an incredible stay! She gave us tips and recommendations on where to go, as well as the little touches around the house to make our stay extremely comfortable. Amazing breakfast in the morning, and such a welcoming host!

    Sabrina2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is ‘the’ place to stay in NB. The best AirB&B experience by far. Especially for animal lovers.

    Raj2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Chantal's place was great. The room was comfortable, breakfast was great, but most of all, Chantal was a wonderful host. I would highly recommend this bnb to anyone travelling in the area.

    Pat2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, clean Bed and Breakfast home. A warm welcoming, friendly and energetic host and her fur baby dog little Laloue. Laloue is so sweet and beautiful and she loves to be loved. For breakfast we had Fresh eggs every morning from her chickens and duck... She will give you a tour of her mini farm, if you love animals like my daughter and I do. She has 2 goats, a mini donkey named Hector, chickens and 2 ducks. A long story short. Who could ask for a better place to be... We definitely will go back to see our new friend Chantal...

    Susan2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • A big thank you, we had great days in this beautiful region as if we were young adventurers with the comforts of home. Thank you also for their excellent lunches and the personal attentions appreciated.

    Patrick2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Chantals home is an a great escape to slow down from the busyness of day to day life. She provides a homey feel while still making you feel on vacation. She provided delicious breakfasts each morning which I looked forward to. She provided her knowledge about the surrounding places to visit, eat, hike, and enjoy. Her hobby farm was so fun to see and experience some of. Though you could hear her miniature donkey Hector at times, it was not disruptive. Her other farm animals, including her dog and cat, were enjoyable to be around. The bed we stayed in was comfortable and the bathroom is beautiful! If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the Alma/Fundy/Riverside Albert area, I highly recommend staying here! My husband and I definitely plan on returning when we want a weekend away to hike.

Welcome to the magical high tides of fundy! From your cozy bedroom, take a stroll through our wonderful wild garden, and pass through the archway into an enchanted forest and secluded beaches. Hopewell rocks and Fundy park only a 20 min. drive away!
Located midway between Fundy National Park and the Hopewell Rocks on the coast with a forest path to 3 tidal beaches. Our wild orchid room accommodates two, while the silver birch and stargazer room can fit another guest with a $15 fee.
Very safe area and friendly people. It's quiet and the air is clean. On a clear night the moon shines over the bay.
  • Karin is a truly thoughtful host, And her accommodations include a magical artists’ garden and porch with bay views featuring her beautiful art tile furniture and creations. So many thoughtful touches, including a kitchenette stocked with eggs, rolls, coffee & tea. A truly special place to stay and a wonderful host.

    Susan & Bill2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Karin is a wonderful host, very thoughtful and extremely respectful of people's privacy while openly encouraging the value of sharing. Her place almost seems to emerge from the mist, and is greatly located if you want to be between Fundy Park and Hopewell Rocks. Fantastic knowledge of what is around, with great insight of her surroundings.

    Roberto2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot recommend highly enough. Beautiful house with sweeping view of the bay. Room is bright and airy with stunning views. Porch with view (and gas grill) is a great place to sit back and watch the hummingbirds. Karin is very hospitable and helpful. Would love to visit again.

    Rohini2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Karin really does offer a special little getaway. At the kitchen window we had a glimpse of the Bay of Fundy. It was wonderful watching the tide go in and out. We really enjoyed walking down to the water through the enchanted forest. Karin’s space is very special and she is a warm and friendly host.

    Colleen2018-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location not far from Hopewell Rocks. Karin's place is just lovely. The porch was a great place to relax with distant views of the Bay of Fundy. The room was comfy and it was great to have an option to cook there.

    Louellyn2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the proximity to nature with all the foliage and flowers around us and a view of the Bay of Fundy from comfy chairs on the porch. Then we could climb the stairs to our Wild Orchid room where flowers graced the table, we had a comfortable bed to sleep in and a fun vintage stove to cook on. The eggs, bread, butter, jam, cream and milk were much appreciated! And there was coffee and tea also. Some dvd's, games and books were available for use and Karin made us feel very welcome. We had been traveling across Canada and staying at hotels. This place was a welcome change and was within easy driving distance to our Hopewell Rocks destination.

    Lynette2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful place to spend two days. The accommodation was just as described and Karin was the prefect host. The views from our room were spectacular and the area was like a paradise garden. Nearby nature sights either by short drive or a walk down to the shore were most enjoyable. The national park is 20minutes away and offered great hiking. We would definitely recommend this special spot and hope to return.

    Milton2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Magical place. The pictures on line don't do it justice. Karin was a wonderful hostess. The room was perfect with wood paneled ceilings and a great view. Everything was immaculate and tasteful. There were fresh flowers on the table and eggs, cream, and butter in the refrigerator. Karin's garden is wild and soothing at the same time punctuated with garden art. Karin's art highlights the environment. There are beautiful mirrors, mosaic tables, and pieces of Karin's wonderful ceramic pieces throughout the house and the property. A wonderfully peaceful environment. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. It is just secluded enough to feel like a hideaway but close to Alma, Hopewell Rocks, and Fundy park to take in the sights. Just perfect.

  • We had a fantastic experience here. The house was charming and spotless. The bathroom was beautiful and a great vintage bathtub. Elisa was an attentive hostess as was Patrick. The food was delicious. Homade bread and muffins and jam. Eggs from their chickens, veggies from their garden. They sent us on our way with a jar of jam, pickled beets and a box of veggies. We stayed in the king-size bed. It was by far the most comfortable bed and we slept well and felt rested. I can't say enough great things about our host and their place. I made friends for life there.

    Blake2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a fantastic experience. Patrick and Elisa were lovely hosts. Elisa fed us like royalty. Breakfast was plenty of food and more. She was very attentive to our needs. She sent us on our way when we left with veggies from her garden. Homemade jelly and pickled beets that were delish. Our room had the most comfortable bed. We have been traviling for a year and I have had many back aches from a variety of beds that were not bad....But really not good. This bed was firm and soft but not squishy....perfect enough on the joints...We slept like babies. It was spakling clean, the shared bath worked out just fine. The location was really good for our needs. I can't say enough good things.

We were greeted upon arrival, given tourist info (which was helpful!!), there is fresh fruit and juice for guests which we think it amazing!! and a full kitchen, laundry for all needs. The beds and pillows are like sleeping on a cloud! The homemade little breakfast in the morning was the absolute best hospitality! Perfect distance from hopewell rocks, we would love to stay again. The chickens are adorable. Thank you so much for the stay!!!

  • This was a great stay and I highly recommend it. I am SuperHost and I travel frequently using AirBNB. Nick's place was exactly how I hoped it would be. I love the charm of the old farmhouse. And Nick's fresh bread every morning is fantastic! My destinations while there were Hopewell Rocks and the town of Alma, both easy/quick drives. The Whale brewery in Alma is a must. Taste the saison...my favorite...and tell them Mark from the US recommended it, I got to know most of the guys. I became kind of a local. Nick is an excellent cook. He might have a community dinner or just assist you in cooking your own. I bought a live lobster, brought it back and he showed me how to grill it...and it was fantastic! I highly recommend Queen's Place, btw, is the name of one of his dogs...she is a sweetheart!

    Mark2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ideally located for visiting Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National Park. Nick is super nice, very natural and welcoming. Too bad I could not taste his coffee. The storm cut off electricity ... it will be for next time under the sun this time!

  • Cozy farm B&B experience - Nick (along with his big pups Queen and Yoko) were awesome hosts! :-) Had a great sleep, then very nice breakfast of fresh homemade bread, local jam, juice & coffee. All of Nick's farm animals and pets made us feel welcome - even got to participate in the feeding of the pigs :-) Relaxing and memorable B&B experience.

  • Nick’s place is just what he stated. Take his advise on where and when to go places.

  • We had a class time on Nick's farm. If you like animals, delicious breakfast and under a comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom and just peace, luxury understands, this is right. Nick has good tips for things to do in nature and if you fancy a delicious barbecue with delicious lobster and rice, book this experience. We would come again and again

  • Great stay, Nick's top welcome, tranquility, top location in the heart of the sites of interest (Hopewell Rock, Cape Enrage, Fundy Park, Alma).

  • We had a great time staying at Nick’s place. There’s lots to do and see in the area and he knows about all the best spots. This is really a great place if you love to meet new people. It’s got a hostel vibe, only you don’t have to share a bedroom. If you’re not into socializing with strangers, pick a different spot to stay. If you enjoy meeting new people, hanging out with dogs and cats, and walking around a farm, then you must stay here! Also Nick is a great cook, and I highly recommend his Lobster barbacoa! It was a lot of fun and was really delicious! If we’re ever in this region again, I would love to stay at Queen’s farm.

  • Incredibly cute dogs & a Cat! Bedding is 10/10 comfort. Bathroom in Honeymoon Suit was relaxing and stylish.

  • Located between hopewell rocks and Fundy national. Host offered great meal recommendations and tips for visiting Hopewell Rocks that worked out in our favour. Friendly cute animals (dogs, cats and pigs). Very comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Worth splurging for the room with ensuite as shared bathroom downstairs pass the kitchen.

The cozy covered bridge glamping unit sleep 5 comfortably. Comes with fully equipped kitchenette and private campfire pit. Surrounded by beautiful Maritime nature, Groomed hiking/biking/snowshoeing trails and horseback riding onsite. Near to Fundy National Park, Cape Enrage and the Hopewell Rocks.
  • Our family of 5 had an amazing time in the tiny house. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The view from the house is amazing! Pictures do not do it justice. We had fires at night ( with wood provided for us) and created memories that will last a life time. What a beautiful area!

Our country log cabin features two large bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a double and single bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen and eating area, living room with a propane fireplace, surrounded by comfortable country furnishings, Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, DVD, and a full four piece bathroom. The cabins are finished completely in hardwood floors and knotty pine.
From the decks, are the wide open views of the Ranch, Shepody Marshlands, Bay of Fundy and the Nova Scotia Coastline.
  • Fantastic accommodations! Cabins were sparkling clean and cozy. Situated halfway between Fundy National Park and Hopewell rocks, which made for easy access to both during our stay.
