Places to stay in Orcas Island
Perfect for a romantic island getaway, Serenity Overlook is a cozy, seaside cottage that comes with all the essentials: comfortable queen bed, bathroom with shower, microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and one of the most breathtaking views of the ferry terminal on the island.
Serenity Overlook is a cozy cottage, perfect for a romantic getaway or a weekend alone, soaking in the island. When you wake up in the morning, you can sit on the waterfront deck with a cup of coffee and watch the ferries come and go. What makes the cottage so special is the location. When you get off the ferry, you're at your private parking space in moments. You're within walking distance of everything you need - a restaurant, gift shops, a small grocery store, and transportation rentals. If you want to visit any of the other islands the Washington State Ferry system services, you can just walk down the hill to the ferry terminal and walk on to any of the inter-island ferries for free. I believe in honesty and making sure guests know what to expect. Over the course of the last couple of years, feedback from guests has encouraged me to make sure future guests are aware of three things: (1) the plumbing at the landing is all quite aged and as such the water pressure does leave a bit to be desired in the shower, (2) we are about a 15 minute drive from the main core of Eastsound village, and (3) the cottage does not have a full kitchen and the only sink in the space is the bathroom sink which is quite small. If you're looking for a cottage where you can make elaborate meals, Serenity might not be the right fit for you.
If it is your first time staying, you will have no trouble finding us! Just look out the window as you approach Orcas... we're the blue cottages just up the hill to the left of the ferry dock! Within walking distance, we have a wonderful market where you can buy groceries, coffee, pre-made sandwiches and pizza, household essentials, beer, wine, or liquor. Be warned: their breakfast burritos are pretty addictive. Also nearby is the Cottage Gift Shop. It is full of fun souvenirs and surprises - their stock of Orcas paraphernalia is unmatched! The historic Orcas Hotel is just across the street. The view from their charming cafe is beautiful and the food at both the cafe and Octavia's Bistro is delicious! If you're looking to go on a kayaking excursion, Orcas Outdoor Kayak Adventures leaves from the dock of our property. Orcas Outdoors can also provide bicycle rentals through Wildlife Cycles. Just up the street, across from the Orcas Hotel, is a recent addition to the Orcas Landing family: Boat House Cider Works. Their ciders, slushies, and snacks are a great way to spend an afternoon or evening (and their view rocks). Champagne Champagne is "an irreverent natural wine temple by the sea" that has light snacks, is open late, and will be opening up their full restaurant menu soon! For access to boutiques, yoga studios, museums, theaters, and more restaurants, Eastsound is a short (but beautiful) 8-mile drive away.
  • We had such a great stay at this cottage! It has the most amazing view and is in such a convenient location. This is our second time at one of Becca’s cottages and she’s an amazing host! So easy to get a hold of, and she gives you so much information about the place and what there is to do on Orcas. We will be back for sure!!

    Emma2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our first time on Orcas so much in large part thanks to Becca's hospitality. The little touches, like labeling where everything was, were incredibly helpful and made it perfectly relaxing. All the recommendations were great. We look forward to coming back again—hopefully this summer!

  • Right next to the ferry dock and a great view!

    Bradley2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect getaway, and the perfect spot if you’re alone or a couple. Other than being in town, you can’t get much better location wise, and the views will leave you speechless in the mornings and at sunset. Rebecca was an amazing host, and goes out of her way to welcome you when you check in. Very cozy spot and will be back!

    Shervin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space was so lovely and had everything we needed for an amazing weekend on Orcas. The location is great, the views are unreal and local tips were top-notch! There was nothing we wanted and didn't have during our stay! Would love to stay again on my next trip to Orcas!

    Erin2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • our stay was amazing! becca was amazingly hospitable in meeting us, telling us the story of the cottages, giving us tips, and including all of the little touches in the cottage that made us feel so welcome (hand warmers, blankets, eco-friendly toiletries - thank goodness for the toothpaste that we had run out of!). i wish we had been able to stay longer! the internet worked perfectly for two of us taking work video calls, for future reference for anyone else who will do a workcation from the cottages. :) we saw some amazing stars the second night when the rain cleared up, and the reclining chairs on the deck came in clutch. we bundled up and spent hours out there drinking wine and watching the ferry come and go. one of my favorite airbnb experiences - i wish i could share pictures of the rainbow colored skies we saw.

    Shawna2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Location was great, and Rebecca was very hospitable. She provided information of local restaurants and activities. They do a lot with the little cottages. We definitely would stay here again when we visit Orcas again.

  • Absolutely loved our stay! Amazing view & such a cozy cottage with many thoughtful touches. We definitely would love to come back again in the summer months!

Downstairs there is a flat screen TV and Blu-ray DVD player. Marginal cell service and WIFI throughout. The kitchenette has a sink, pod coffee maker (with coffee, hot chocolate and chai), toaster/broiler, microwave oven, small refrigerator, professional double hot plate and a selection of kitchenware. • Enchanting and serene. We were lucky to stay here

    Steve2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible views from the bedroom and main floor, we woke up to rainbows over the ocean and bald eagles flying by. It was spectacular and magical. The drive up to the airbnb was a bit scary and steep for me, and we felt grateful to have 4-wheel drive during a rainstorm. We built a lovely fire in the evening, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We cooked several meals, but the kitchen leaves a little to be desired regarding space and amenities. Overall I would definitely recommend!

    Olivia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at James and Lisa's home. The view was amazing, especially from upstairs. The unit is fully detached from the main house and we never saw another soul while we were there except for the deer that usually greeted us on our drive in. It was so peaceful and quiet. There are two entryways to the unit, making it very easy to unload and load up our car. The bed was comfortable, and there's a second bed upstairs that seems to be a Tempurpedic bed if you prefer a different level of softness to the main bed. I was also pleased that the water pressure in the shower was nice and strong. The mini kitchen is small but well stocked with kitchen supplies. Although tucked away in a secluded spot, this Airbnb was a close drive to nearby hikes, a coffee shop, and the Doe Bay restaurant which is amazing. Also, it's only about a 20 minute drive to get back to Eastsound and the drive was beautiful each time we did it. We hope to come back! Thank you!!

  • We really loved this place! The views are amazing and the house was super clean and cozy! Definitely recommend!

    Sheana2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. Great views, a private space, and a gigantic bed to wake up to the sunrise over the sound.

    Ryan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Lisa’s bungalow can be described nothing less than a gem on Orcas Island with its breathtaking scenic views from both up and downstairs areas, an extremely comfy king sized bed, and wood fire place where we cozied up to after an afternoon downtown. We fell in love with this place and wished we could have stay longer. Thank you so much Mike and Lisa, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

A cozy cottage steps from the Orcas Island ferry terminal. Perfect as a home base to explore the San Juans or a place to relax and watch the boats come and go in the harbor.
Sarah Jane's Cottage is a versatile space, perfect for a romantic getaway for two, or for a group looking to explore Orcas or all of the San Juan Islands. The house comes with a king bed along with a couch that pulls out into a bed. No matter whether you just want to crash in the cottage at the end of a long day of adventures or sit on the deck and watch the ferries come and go, Sarah Jane's is a cozy cottage with a gorgeous view of the water. The space is great for a two, for a couple with children, or for a group of 3 or 4 adults who plan to spend most of their time exploring the island or outside on the deck overlooking the water. What makes the cottage so special is the location. When you get off the ferry, you're at your private parking space in moments. • Second time stay and plan to make it an annual visit. Host is very helpful and accommodating for check in time and providing anything else you may need. A must stay in Orcas:)

    Tyler2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah Jane’s cottage is absolutely wonderful! You wake up with an incredible view each day, it’s a cozy space, and the location is as good as any. Perfect launch pad for a few day stay around orcas.

    Julian2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • It is a fabulous space!

    Heather2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot. Cozy, literally next to the water and the sunrise is beyond words. Island itself is mostly for those who like to get away and hike or walk trails. I loved coming here. Definitely have recommended it to friends and family!

    Camilo2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great weekend in Orcas! Beautiful views to watch the ferries come and go! :)

    Marley2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary at this cottage. The view can't be beat. The bed was incredibly comfortable with great pillows and sheets. Rebecca gave us great tips on some things to do locally on Orca's Island. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the ferries come and go. Everything we had from the market at the ferry dock was amazing! Probably the best scones we have ever had, great sandwiches, and anything you need. We enjoyed all the little touches at the cottage, games, puzzles, good coffee. Thank you so much for making our anniversary getaway wonderful!! Hopefully we will be able to make it back!

    Amanda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this spot! What a cool view and a nice big deck to enjoy. Waking up to sunrise over the ocean is pretty unbeatable! We were met in person and shown around by Rebecca who was very quick to communicate and let us check in early once she was done cleaning. The bed is huge and so comfortable and the space outside is perfect for enjoying meals. We did cook in the small kitchen space, but don’t expect to be making anything too complex. It was great to have the option of a stove. Make some pasta, but since it isn’t a full kitchen washing lots of dishes isn’t ideal in the bathroom. Would recommend getting picnic bits from the local shop and enjoying on the deck! It was a good spot to be based to explore the island, be at an early ferry and walk to both beaches, and restaurants/cafes/shops.

    Holly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Sarah Jane's Cottage. Every amenity imaginable was available for us, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view was spectacular. We can't wait to return.

  • Great great location! Right on the water, beautiful sunsets, cozy soundproof cabin, and easy ride into town. 10/10 would stay again!

    Nandita2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Could not love this waterfront cabin more! Had a great bonfire. Beds were super comfy. Lots of thoughtful touches. Scenery is top notch. Easy drive to town. Dreaming of going back!

    Sarah2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy waterfront cabin. Loved it!

    Sara2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint, natural setting on a beautiful, quiet beach/bay. If you like to “go back in time to a simpler time”, but with simple, modern touches, this will prob work for you. We stayed in a waterfront cabin, which was simply decorated, but clean, with a comfy bed, kitchen, loved the natural wood of the interior, and the wood stove! We were glad to have electric heat as well though, bc getting the small wood stove to hold a fire was a challenge. Not sure if bc stove too small, the wood too large, or we couldn’t figure out the damper? It would have helped to have that marked (air control), how to use, on the stove itself. We enjoyed having cheese, crackers, wine (easily obtained from town of Eastsound a few minutes away, but the resort store seemed to have a decent selection, too) and a campfire outside overlooking the water. Beautiful! Would have loved to use the outdoor grill for steaks, fresh local fish, but we didn’t have time-Next time! We saw bald eagles, otters, seals, lots of gulls. Be careful driving around the island- lots of slow moving deer along the road, crossing roads, especially at dusk/night. A unique, quiet, serene, therapeutic spot; a great base for exploring a beautiful island! And very romantic as well, with sunsets over the water.

    Marjorie2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to decompress and get away from the city for a few days. The location is prime, and since it's on the west end of island we were sheltered from the windy bits we experienced throughout the island. The sunset was gorgeous and the experience of having a fire pit a few feet from front door of cabin was delightful. The staff was quite friendly and provided all the amenities we could need. They provided us with extra blankets and a hair dryer at the office/store/cafe. The cabin itself was quite quaint, with enough room for two -three people. It is on the smaller side, but wasn't uncomfortable. The water got nice and hot in the shower. They provide nice papaya shampoo, conditioner and soap. If you have long hair I would recommend bringing your own conditioner to tame your hair as the water is a bit hard. It was a great experience and I highly recommend!

Charming cozy studio cottage fully updated in 2019. Beautiful views of East Sound on Orcas Island. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the Eastsound Waterfront Park. VR Permit PPROVO-16-0044
Enjoy the sunrise and East Sound views from the deck, the sofa and even the comfortable queen size bed in this lovely studio cottage. All fully updated with new appliances, quartz counter tops, tile bathroom, new flooring. The sofa makes into a twin bed for an additional guest.
  • Beautiful view, cute and cozy space. A bit of road traffic below, but not too disturbing. The host made check in seamless and the space is lovely.

    Charlotte2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. It had a wonderful view of the sound and was close to town. The host added a thoughtful card and gift which was very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

  • Kelly's place is perfect for a couple or 3 very good friends! It is small and wonderfully designed - we couldn't think of a single thing to criticize. Very private. The view upon waking in the morning is breathtaking! We'll be back!

  • This cottage was very cute and the perfect space for us to celebrate our anniversary. We lucked out on the weather so the view was incredible.

    Lance2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is an absolute gem! Every square inch is perfect, modern, and clean. The views of the water and mountains are incredible. I might recommend bringing a sleeping eye mask if you’re sensitive to light since there is so much natural light in the cottage (a big plus, but we were glad to have our eye masks for sleeping in). Location is great, right near Eastsound and a short drive from the ferry terminal. I appreciated how safe we felt in the cottage and that there was very easy and private parking right outside. Had everything we needed for cooking dinner, which was also an added bonus! Will definitely be returning soon. :)

  • Clean and close to Eastsound, so convenient to walk which seems rare in the area! Location is great so that nothing on the island is far away. Balcony great for sitting outside and getting some yoga/reading in!

  • Great little cabin in a stunningly beautiful location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only negative was the wifi. It was essentially unusable, and there was very spotty cell reception, so plan on disconnecting while you're there. But that's not always a bad thing.

  • We had a wonderful stay! Highly recommend West Beach for a number of reasons; West-facing sunset location, cute comfy cabins, and prompt on-site service to take care of any questions.

  • A couple of girlfriends and I stayed at The Gnome House for a short getaway from the city, and I can't express how delightful. The house is incredible - So enchanting and cozy!!! We loved cooking food, soaking in the hot tub, walking around the grounds, and hanging out in the dining nook. Meg and Bob were super communicative and friendly. Our whole experience was magical and we hope to return to The Gnome House in the future :)

  • A truly magical experience! Meg was an exceptional host and the Gnome Chalet exceeded our wildest dreams.

    Katie2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Bob and Meg are wonderful! They are so kind and considerate. The Gnome House is amazing! It’s like staying in a work of art! There are so many sweet and adorable touches, that it takes days to discover it all. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

  • What. A. Treat. We came for an extended weekend in January to have a cozy home base (with a hottub) while I ran a trail race at Moran State Park. The Gnome House Chalet is just what it sounds like: a chalet-style cabin that feels like it is hosted by a team of Gnomes! It is a warm, cozy cabin with just the right amount of space for a small family, or in our case 3 adults. There are many fun details for those that like a cozy craftsman-built cabin with a theme. The hottub views to the water were incredibly relaxing. The kitchen was perfect for preparing feasts (we made several). The dining table/cupola was the center of most of what we did while awake, from eating to family-time types of activities. And an especially welcome touch was pre-split well-seasoned firewood and kindling waiting in the rack for us! We loved it.

    Kyle2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Such a magical experience in a beautiful place. Even with wind rain and snow! Just so much comfort and coziness was experienced! Bob and Meg were both amazing and thoughtful, communication was also amazing!

    The Original2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very charming, cozy, and magical place. Bob and Meg were so great. We will definitely be back.

    Mila2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a special place with great hosts. You'll be charmed and relaxed...

    Robert2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is such an incredible listing on Air BnB. A gorgeous hidden treasure located on a beautiful island just as magical as displayed. Each nook and cranny of the house is thought out to create such an inviting and whimsical stay that surely makes you feel every bit of a fairytale as you could imagine. I cannot wait to return. A stellar home, with amazing hosts. The communication is exceptional and everything is simple, from the drive, given directions, and ways to make your stay at the gnome house the best possible. Highly recommend - a true 10/10.

  • Lori and Todd are absolutely outstanding hosts, and this home was by far the most comfortable, well-stocked Airbnb we’ve ever rented. Beautiful home, great kitchen, everything was sparkling clean, and Todd and Lori were extremely communicative and helpful throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back!!

    Mary Beth2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed in a few Airbnb’s on Orcas and this is by the far the best. The house is conveniently located close to Eastsound, Rosario resort and Moran park and it is stocked with basically everything you need. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the hot tub each night of our stay and we also loved the ping pong table! The hosts answered all of our questions very quickly and checking in was a breeze. We will definitely be staying here again!

    Jamila2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great house with everything taken care of! We will be coming back.

    Kelly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay at Todd & Lori’s beautiful Airbnb. We love it there!! It’s a great location, you have everything you could possibly need, and the house is perfect for families or a group of friends. We try to make a trip here at least once a year and our preferred place to stay is this Airbnb.

  • Fantastic!

    Casey2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a short but great stay at this place! The house is top notch, very clean, spacious and decorated with taste. Pool table is an especially nice touch! It is very close to Moran State Park which is a must on Orcas Island. The hosts provided great communication and appeared very organized.

    Tatiana (Tanya)2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Todd and Lori have quite the space! So close to the beautiful trails of Moran State Park and just a short drive from Eastsound, their location is definitely worth an extended stay. Your vacation will be supercharged with their amazing views, sounds and deck with a grill and a hot tub. We stayed in the winter so it wasn’t terribly warm outside, but the space warmed our spirits plenty.

  • Northbeach Cabin is a treasure! We loved the location, and peaceful vibe. Libi has outfitted the cabin beautifully: the bed and linens are soooo comfortable, the bright kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinners every night to bring to our kids who just had a baby- happy first-time grandparents!! The shower is great, the amenities are beautiful and everything is sparkling clean!! Highly recommend!! Libi is a responsive and lovely host!

  • I adore this cabin! So many special touches- beautiful cook ware, very soft sheets and bed, sparkling clean shower, and a gorgeous view out every window. I loved how private it felt at all times. The decor was not fussy but simple and tasteful. I will never look any place else when coming to Orcas Island.

    Kathryn2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The space was warm and cozy for two. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the central location for activities on the Island.

    Jane2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This location was a great place for exploring Orcas Island. It’s within walking distance to the beach and also a short drive to most of the restaurants in the area. It was very quiet and relaxing. All amenities covered (other than a tv, but we brought a laptop). We were able to cook dinners in the kitchen and enjoyed the pour over coffee. Sparkling clean! And thoughtful touches. I would recommend to friends and be happy to return again.

    Katherine2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Northbeach Cabin! I probably said some version of “I love this cabin!” to my husband at least ten times in our two days there. It is the perfect mix of cool vintage bones and cozy, modern style. Basically, it is my dream cabin. And, the location is great—water views from the bed in the loft and close to Eastsound too. The Northbeach Cabin was our favorite Airbnb so far, and Libi was a great host. Thanks Libi!

    Kelly2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Libi’s place made for the perfect getaway! The location is awesome, the view of the water when you’re in the bedroom was beautiful, the unit itself was so clean and the bed was comfortable too! We saw 17 deer outside the window the second night too! We would absolutely stay here again.

The Garden House is a lovely living space located above an artist studio on 6 waterfront acres. Light-filled, with cathedral ceilings and dormers, the Garden House has a combined kitchen and sitting room with hide-a-bed, a private bedroom, and a bathroom with shower.
The Garden House is maintained with an intention to minimize toxicity in operations: it is kept dander free, laundry soaps are organic and odor-free, sheets are 100% cotton (mostly flannel). Seasonal flowers in the garden are available for guest-picked bouquets. The pottery studio is available for tours, conversation and hands-on clay exploration. There is an extensive and eclectic library. The intentional absence of a flat screen encourages guests to explore non-digital experiences. Please read the house manual and "the neighborhood" (see below) for helpful information.
Doe Bay Resort is less than a minute's drive; they have an excellent cafe, a small store and serve as a launch area for Shearwater Kayak trips. The Catkin Cafe and Artworks are in Olga, about 5 minutes west from the Garden House. I recommend you download a comprehensive list of available restaurants so you can plan meals out (and make reservations), particularly during peak periods like summer and weekends. A one-page summary of all dining choices on the island is available in the Garden House, provided by the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce (go to the chamber's web site and look for the "Dining Guide" link. • Lovely cozy home in a peaceful wooded setting. We really enjoyed the beauty of the house which featured classic Northwest design and Joe’s gorgeous crystal glaze pottery, and incorporated locally sourced wood. Joe was an attentive host, providing extensive information to make our stay comfortable and fun. The house is close to Moran State Park which is great for hiking and sightseeing, especially from the top of Mt. Constitution. The house is also around the corner from Doe Bay Resort whose spa is accessible via day pass. Would definitely stay again and recommend this place to others.

The house is spotlessly clean, nicely furnished with quality furnishings that are both comfortable and stylish, and is stocked with lots of eco friendly products from the soaps and shampoos to the laundry and dish soaps. The deck is fantastic - whether sitting in the sun reading a book or looking up at the stars with a glass of wine. • This lovely home is in a beautiful secluded area near Cascade Lake which you can walk to from the house. Its also very convenient to Moran State Park with its beautiful hiking trails and vistas. The view from the top of Mt Constitution is not to be missed! We appreciated how clean and beautifully furnished this home is. Beautiful amenities and furnishings. Our host was quick to respond and very hospitable. We can't wait to return!

  • This is a beautiful, tranquil place to stay on Orcas Island. I enjoyed my time here immensely!

    Karin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect escape from the craziness of the mainland! You can sit on the deck and watch deer grazing continuously. A few stops at the market and you’ll not have to leave again!

  • Beautiful house.

    Kyle2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A group of women friends and I rented Jan’s house for a fun Winter get-away. The house is absolutely beautiful and full of light! As a designer I appreciate the style and comfort of the furniture, the tasteful textiles, and the very fine art. When you see an interior this nice you know much thought went into every detail! The house is well equipped with all the basics for cooking. We decided to explore the local food scene for lunch and dinner but enjoyed leisurely mornings sipping coffee and tea with delicious pastries from Brown Bear Bakery. Each day we were off hiking nearby trails to Cascade Lake, shopping in Eastsound, or relaxing at the Spa at Rosario. This location is fantastic. So near to the best Orcas has to offer! Jan is a terrific host who is prompt with communication. She is very knowledgeable about places to eat amazing local food and unique shops to explore. We loved Darvill’s Bookshop & Material Wit. We had such a wonderful time we are already planning to return!

    Grace2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great location - and the space was warm, inviting, and it felt like home! Very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend! Susan is a wonderful host and was highly responsive to our needs.

    Cathy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • While the stunning view itself was worth the price of admission (if you've ever swooned at the landscape while dining at the Madrona Grill or upstairs at the Loft, you'll know what I'm talking about), the room was AMAZING. Well-stocked with high-quality products, beautifully furnished, and replete with anything you could possibly need (extra fresh towels? binoculars for bird-watching?), it was the most sparkling clean place I think we've had the pleasure to stay. The location was also top notch, literally next door to some of our local haunts, and as a frequent visitor over the past decade, we easily have a new favourite spot to stay in Eastsound. Can not recommend anything Susan runs more highly.

    Charina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome space! Comfortable, cute, beautiful view, perfect location, convenient and easy. A+!

    Lindsay2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location for your Orcas experience! Downtown Eastsound on the waterfront where all the fantastic shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Great home and great hospitality!

  • Great place to stay with a wonderful view! Feels bigger than expected, with good kitchen and bathroom.

    Ethan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Really great location in the heart of Eastsound. This place was sparkling clean & the view was beautiful. We loved checking out the really neat local restaurants & bars within walking distance from Susan’s place. We took a quick drive to Rosario for a spa day & that was amazing, too. Susan’s place was a really great place to stay.

    Caitlyn2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's studio is delightful. Being right on Main Street is great with all the shops and restaurants steps from your door. The view from the balcony overlooking the Sound is lovely too. The studio was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. We had a great time there and I would highly recommend it!

  • Such a beautifully remodeled home with great touches inside and outside the home. We loved having an outside area that felt like we were camping, and then coming inside to feel like we were at a resort spa!! Absolutely loved the hot tub, sound system, espresso machine and the jacuzzi tub inside. Todd and Lori offered great communication and seem to go above and beyond. Thanks again!!

  • Todd & Lori were great hosts and their place was in a nice central location for exploring the island. Check-in was very easy and the welcome binder had all the info needed for enjoying the amenities. They were quick to respond to any question that came up. Can't wait to return to Orcas and stay here again!

  • This is a great place if you want to be close to the beach and love to do outdoor activities. You can hike, bike, walk or go for drives around the island with great views. We recommend the Lower Town Tavern for fish and chips, Darvill’s Bookstore and the Madrona Bar for seafood. We will be back again next year for our third year. Al and Gretchen

  • We loved our stay here! The house was very clean and welcoming. Todd and Lori were great communicators and the location was very convenient for everything we wanted to do. Came here for the Orcas Island 50k, and the hot tub was the perfect place for post-race recovery. Would definitely stay here again!

  • We had a great stay at Todd & Lori's place. The house was beautiful, and everything was well thought out and easy to find. It was just a 5 minute drive to Eastsound and less than 15 minutes to Moran State Park. We loved being able to stay in a space that was super nice but also dog friendly, as that can be hard to find!

This well appointed home features a chef's kitchen, two sunlit decks, a hot tub, deep soaking tub, fireplace, two king sized beds, and an office with a full size sleeper sofa.

  • The Heart House was a delight to stay at. Very thoughtfully appointed, we really enjoyed the space. We ended up indoors due to weather more than expected and the wall-to-wall windows with a view helped us feel great about our visit. The space gets as warm as you'd like it to, and the kitchen and bathrooms were especially clean. We hope to visit again during the summer!

  • Heart house was very peaceful and lovely. It exceeded our expectations. The beds & furniture were very comfortable. Every thing was up to date and clean. Communication was great. We have nothing but great things to say and can't wait to come back. The dog didn't like having to stay on the main floor but he learned to live with it, he really enjoyed watching the wildlife.

  • We had a fantastic time staying at the Garden Cottage! John was a gracious and informative host who gave us great tips for enjoying our stay but also provided us lots of privacy. The cottage itself offered us the perfect landing place after a day of hiking or exploring, and the freshly ground organic coffee was a definite highlight. We would absolutely stay here again - maybe next time in the summer so we can take advantage of more of the outdoor amenities!

    Kelsey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our first visit to Orcas Island. John was easy to communicate with and understanding. The cottage was near the water so the views were very pretty. And the cottage had many resources for visitors like maps, where to eat, DVD’s/books to read. My husband really enjoyed being able to try Rocky for the first time.

    Kay2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here after running a 100-miler in Moran state park. The hot tub was just what I needed for sore muscles. And the indoor fireplace made the garden cottage perfectly cozy. John was also eager to share his local knowledge to help find a place to eat. Would definitely stay again.

Very small (under 300 square feet), very sweet house for one or two. Double bed, bath with shower, LIGHT cooking, wood stove and electric heat, driftwood deck, partial water view. On same beach lot with larger vacation rental and you share yard and beach with guests staying in other house. Bring your kayak, paddle board and/or bicycle.
This house was built as a single car, free standing garage in the 1940's. It was never used as a garage and the original owners put in windows and wallboard. We bought it in 1994 and put in a bathroom with shower only, a small kitchenette, a wood stove and additional heat. We enlarged and rebuilt the small deck with cedar planking and driftwood. There is also driftwood inside as part of the kitchen and bathroom shelving. We do not accept more than two guests, and ask guests not to cook for additional people in the cabin.
Our small neighborhood has only single family houses, which are usually occupied during the summer and shoulder months, when the beach is at its best. There are fewer neighbors here during the winter, but winter can be wonderful if you like to watch storms over the water while you are sitting by the fire.
  • We LOVED staying at Jackie’s cozy seaside cottage! Morning coffee on the beach and quiet evenings in the cottage was exactly what we hoped for (and got) at this little Orcas Island gem! We look forward to returning soon. It really was a relaxing and restorative stay. Thank you Jackie for your island hospitality!

    Missy & John2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed Jacqueline's Tiny House on the island. This was our first time on Orcas, and staying at Jacqueline's place was the perfect experience. Very close to the water, with rustic charm and beauty. Jacqueline maintains great communication, is wonderfully friendly, and was accommodating when we had small needs. We will definitely return to the Tiny House next time we're on the island.

    Derek2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is actually spacier than we expected! It's still a "tiny house," but not at all cramped and an absolutely perfect size for a cozy, romantic weekend. We had everything we needed and Jackie allowed us to use anything in the larger house as well. We didn't need anything, but it was nice to have access to just in case. Crazy beautiful views and very quiet. The only problem we had was not enough hot water for a shower, but a new water heater had just been installed the day of our arrival so I think Jackie was still figuring out the best temp to keep it at. Other than that we had an amazing time!!

    Aly2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great hostess!

    Charles2019-11-06T00:00:00Z

    Paige2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for a relaxing weekend! Jacqueline was an absolute delight, the tiny house had everything we needed, and the location was right by the water, not too far from the “downtown” area of the island, and super close to state parks . Highly recommend staying here!

Georgia is a cozy one-bedroom, two-story cottage near the beach. Perfect for a romantic hide-away, personal retreat, or family holiday. Pet friendly. The cottage is part of a tranquil beach resort on a 100-acre property with woods, pasture, and beach. Outside, deer wander freely and otters play on the beach. Inside, books, puzzles and games make it a relaxing "unplugged" getaway. No wifi, TV or other electronic entertainment. *our rare summer openings are weekly rentals ONLY, Sat to Sat*
Georgia Cottage is a very private cabin on a slight slope approx. 200 ft from the beach. Parking is right outside the cottage. The kitchen has stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and electric kettle. It is stocked with basic cookware and dishes, but has no food or condiments. The kitchen overlooks the cow pasture to the south, where deer and cows often graze side by side! All bed linens are provided, and towels, soap and TP. Bring your own toiletries, and house slipper are a good idea too, as the floors can get cold! A queen bed is just inside the front door, and looks out over the beach area. Surrounding the bed area are curtains which can be drawn for privacy when desired. The main living/dining area is up a couple of steps. There is a stairway with a door at the bottom which leads to the queen bedroom on the second floor. The futon couch can be made into a double bed. The bathroom has a shower. (Please note, the hot water heater is small, so you’ll need to be efficient in the shower and allow some time in between multiple uses of the shower so water has a chance to heat up again) Electric baseboard heat is the primary heat source.
You may feel like you are in a remote place, after travelling down our 3/4 mile dirt driveway through cedar and Douglas fir forest, and arriving at our expansive private beach. However, Eastbound village is only two miles away. This is the quaint hub of Orcas Island life, hosting numerous restaurants and boutique shops. There is an active performing arts center, and a beautiful library, along with a well-stocked grocery store, and a Co-op offering organic and locally grown foods. Yoga studios, art studios, artisan coffee shops, and pubs with stunning views of the water all conspire to make this town a truly delightful place to spend time. A few miles away is Moran State Park, with hundred's of miles of trails through old-growth forests, and an almost 360 degree view from the top of Mount Constitution (you can hike up, or drive up!) Kayaking, whale-watching and fishing are among some of the favorite activities on Orcas Island. Check out our Orcas Chamber of Commerce website for more info.
  • We've stayed at RuthAnne's place (at the Georgia) twice now, and each time we really enjoyed ourselves. The location and accommodations are perfect. We're looking forward to future visits.

  • This is such a great place. I'd say the photos on Airbnb don't do it justice! It was so fun being between the cows, deer, and the beach. Perfect location on the island - it's quick to get anywhere, it's easy to find and yet very secluded.

    Mary2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Georgia is a cute little cabin near the beach! It’s perfect for a get away if any kind but I am excited to bring my family back here. You can also get an amazing view of the sunset from the beach (at least I got a spectacular view one night in October). It was also nice to be close to Eastsound and have a little kitchen. Overall, a great place to stay on Orcas Island.

    Andrea2019-10-10T00:00:00Z

Escape to beautiful Orcas Island and relax in the Buck Bay Getaway, which is 100 feet away from the shoreline with views of the San Juan Islands. See the wildlife and smell the fresh ocean air.
The Getaway has just been fully renovated on the interior, with the exterior renovation planned in 2021. It's one of those places that are simple on the exterior, but incredible on the interior. It features a fully stocked kitchen, one bedroom with a queen bed, an expansive deck just steps from the beach and a bathroom with a shower and bathtub. All linens and towels are included, free wifi, a Smart TV, so bring your user names and passwords. Plenty of blankets are available for cold nights on the deck or bonfires on the beach. Please no pets. This is a one bedroom space for no more than two people.
Buck Bay Getaway is located close to state parks and hiking trails in the picturesque town of Olga, Washington, on Orcas Island. Buck Bay is just steps away from The Getaway with appearances of Bald Eagles, Canada Geese, Blacktail Deer, golden sunsets and ferries traveling to and from the San Juan Islands. Downtown Eastsound is just 8 miles away, with an abundance of shopping for souvenirs, a movie theater with the latest movies, a grocery store and restaurants to suit any taste. Doe Bay Resort and Retreat is 3.2 miles away, with a general store, organic restaurant and soaking tubs overlooking Otter Bay; Rosario Resort and Spa is located 5.2 miles away with a general store, bar and grill, cozy lounge and fine dining restaurant.
  • I can't say enough great things about Toni & Buck Bay Getaway! I can't say what it looked like before the remodel - as this was our first time visiting, but I'll tell you it was decorated so nicely and it felt so fresh and clean. The bed is also extremely comfortable! Toni was so sweet and offered us oysters upon arrival and stayed in touch during our visit incase we needed anything! Turbo (their sweet cat) also welcomed us and kept us company. If this is your first time visiting the island or you've been here before, this is the place to stay! Toni will give you all the tips and tricks on the best places to visit and see, and the view of the bay is absolutely incredible!

    Kiyana2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We will return again and again! The location is perfect. Steps away from their seafood shop where we sat outdoors eating fresh crab, amazing ceviche and house smoked fish while sipping wine and taking in the view of Buck Bay. Other nights we steamed their clams in their perfectly appointed kitchen. Toni even shares a dozen fresh eggs. Beds were super comfortable. Toni was super warm and welcoming and introduced us to all that Orcas has to offer. Buck Bay is a great location. Just a few miles from Doe Point that has a Thursday open mic, great cuisine and outdoor hot tubs and sauna open until 10 pm. Also close to hiking at Moran and Obstruction Pass. We had a fantastic experience.

  • Fantastic place to unwind and unplug on Orcas. Very quiet with an amazing view. Recommending shucking fresh oysters next door.

  • It’s hard to say anything negative and easy to say everything positive about our stay. The house has everything you need to be comfortable and to feel like your home. The restaurant on the shellfish farm allows you to enjoy some fresh local treats. Toni was super great giving tips and having quick responses to any questions. Turbo killer, the friendly cat, on the farm was super sweet and amusing. My favorite part was the daily views of the bay and also the comfy bed. I highly recommend the Buck Bay Getaway. I most likely will return and I was holding back tears as I was leaving. Thanks again Toni 😊

    Ashley2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality, accommodations, food, view and location. Very relaxing, great hiking and gorgeous weather!

    Jean2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Buckbay, after our first incredible experience we could not wait to come back. Our second trip was everything that we hoped for, comfortable, clean and inviting. The house was stock with extra blankets, toiletries and extra kitchen necessities, to make our stay feel more like home and to help us cook and prepare our meals. Besides the comfortable lodging, you absolutely cannot beat the view and the proximity to the oysters, delicious! We enjoyed oysters, prawns and smoked salmon during our stay, Toni and Mark are fantastic host, Toni also provides excellent advice for what to do and what to see on the island as well. We hope to come back year after year, Buckbay is truly a gem and our stay was everything that we knew it would be again. Thank you so much Toni!

    Elizabeth2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the guest house (the Getaway was under repair) was terrific! Toni is a great host -- so friendly, accommodating and accessible. We really appreciated her tips of what to do on the island. Despite how busy she is running the shellfish farm, she took time to give us a tour and was always around to answer questions. The seafood was delicious. The house is fully equipped and in a great location with a stunning view. It was a great introduction for us to the Pacific Northwest. Thanks Toni!

  • Best view on the island! Carol Jo's place was a perfect spot to relax, we loved waking up and watching the sun rise from the hot tub with a cup of coffee. Had everything we needed, and Carol Jo was a thoughtful host!

    Erin2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful spot right on the water. We fell asleep listening to the waves rock against the shore.

    Ryan2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time on Orcas Island, the location of the cabin is fabulous. Tucked away with amazing views, the hot tub is great and we could not have asked for a better 4 day weekend. Would love to go back, the cabin is exactly as advertised. Carol Jo is a great host with lots of local tips!

    Fergal2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful beautiful place. Lovely views of the Sound and a great beach. Good location on the island, close to many activities. Lovely!

    Brendan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most perfect spots on the island. The serenity when I step out onto the deck here is something I have found nowhere else. I was able to walk to breakfast at the Catkin and take the dogs to the nature preserve! It is such a gift to stay on this end of the island.

    Staci2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Carol's place is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. It was absolutely perfect. We also asked for an early check in and everyone worked hard to make that happen. We really appreciated the hospitality and local tips! We plan to come back soon.

    Kaja2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay. It was peaceful and homey. Felt at home. Loved the location to Catkins cafe and Moran State park. Wonderful water view and loved the deck outside. We will be back!

    Lori2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Carol Jo's presence was so warm and welcoming. The view of the San Juans through the big picture window, the other windows, and from the deck is incredible! The locale is wonderfully quiet - we could hear the gentle lapping of waves on the beach, birds everywhere (including eagles and hummingbirds), and even the splashing of a seal and an otter. The proximity to Moran State Park was a special treat; we drove/hiked to the lookout tower three times during our stay to take-in the 360 degree view, including getting up early one morning to watch the sun rise over the mountains and the Sound: breathtaking! Highly recomend!

  • Sara and Matt’s house was absolutely amazing! The view was spectacular! The house is secluded and tucked away on Orcas Island, overlooking the ocean and several islands— in the distance you can see an expanse of a snow-capped mountain range. It is breathtaking! The house feels remote and private, but is conveniently located close to anything you could need. We stayed in and cooked the entire time, and the house has everything we needed, including additional cooking supplies that were very helpful, like spices, olive oil, etc. The house is cozy and comfortable. It is very clean and fully stocked with anything you might need. The loft bedroom view is also amazing! The king size bed was very comfortable. Loved this house! Loved Orcas Island! And we highly recommend a stay here.

    Krista2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Sara and Matt's home in Orcas Island. The view was lovely and the hot tub was the best place to end the day after some light hiking. The house was exactly as pictured and close driving distance to Eastsound for lunch/dinner. We look forward to booking again over the summer!

    Scott2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just lovely! The view is jut breathtaking. It was raining most of the time while we were there, but the place just made it more fun, even if we just stay in and chill. We just enjoy the hot tub under the rain, and everyone just cooking at the awesome kitchen and enjoying the view.

    Izza2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a view! This home is perfect in every way. Location, style, amenities and view and so much more! Great communication with hosts, exact location directions, the best view on the island and he home was spotless, inviting, and stocked with more than you could ever need! • A beautiful place with a magnificent view. Spacious. Close to town. Perfectly clean. Large kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The hosts were very nice and communicative. And so perfectly quiet! I don't think I heard a single car the entire time. We came with a group of 5 and we were all very happy that this is where we chose to stay!

    Yuriy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was amazing! The views are truly remarkable and the hot tub was an amazing place to hang out. This was the most well stocked kitchen at an Airbnb I've ever experienced, and we were so grateful for that - made cooking so easy and fun. We'll be back !

    Michelle2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay at Sara & Matt’s house. The location is quiet and feels secluded. The view looking toward Vancouver can’t be beat. It’s a clean and accommodating space that we would recommend it to others.

    Anita2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time during our stay. Close to town but felt off the grid, the views alone were worth it. Hot tub was a plus, couldn't have asked for more. Sarah was very responsive, we look forward to another stay! Thank you!!

  • This is an absolute gem of find. I highly recommend a stay at this cabin. It has all of the comforts of home with the added luxury of being somewhere new and exciting. The location is nice in that it’s private but still accessible to some of the best island activities. We will absolutely consider another visit and are excited to share this experience with friends and family.

    Emma2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is very nicely situated just a short drive down the road from Moran State Park, where we spent most of our time while on the island. The cabin has a well stocked kitchen and included some complementary tea. Laundry worked great, and we had no trouble letting ourselves in using the keybox. Ann was very responsive and got back to all our questions promptly. It was great to find a pack n play as well as cots and sleeping pads to accommodate a variety of sleeping arrangements for families. The board games and puzzles were a nice touch.

    Evan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful location near trails, and public beaches. It was super quiet and private. It felt like we were in the middle of the woods. It was a perfect home base for our Island adventure.

  • Very nice place, clean, quiet, and beautiful.

    Samuel2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Olga cabin is a beautiful home. Very clean and ultra quiet. Deer visit regularly and the grounds are well kept. Beds were comfortable, cozy linens, fluffy towels and a fireplace! We played scrabble and enjoyed one another, void of modern distractions. We will definitely be back next year.

    Hether2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, comfortable and good location. The master was very comfortable, but the third bedroom has a small bed, good for a child or small adult.

    Susan2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a huge space with so much privacy. It’s surrounded by wooded areas and is just off a main road into town which makes it easily accessible. The fire pit is wonderful- located in the front yard with lovely chairs to enjoy. Great value for the amount of space you get!

Leith has decorated everything so nicely and she welcomed us with chocolate chip cookies and fresh flowers in tiny vases on the kitchen sink window. There were green plants everywhere and wonderful, interesting books stacked on the shelves to read. We had a great stay there!!!!

Just a few short miles from Eastsound, the Honey BnB perches on the shore of a small pond teeming with wildlife. From the house you might see ducks, herons, geese, kingfishers, eagles, otters, turkeys, and deer among many other types of birds and beasts. A quick walk to the beach and you'll find plenty of skipping stones and an excellent panoramic view across the water.
The house itself is a lovely two-story home with an open floor plan and wide windows facing the pond. There is a wood stove for chilly days and french doors to open on hot days. Downstairs is the living area, kitchen, and half bathroom. The kitchen is well-equipped to meet your cooking needs, complete with dishwasher and in-sink disposal. The second story is an airy room with a king sized bed, vanity and small walk-in closet. Also upstairs is the master bathroom with dual sinks, shower with double shower heads and large-capacity washer and dryer.
Where the woods meet the shore. The neighborhood has a beach vibe with a cabin in the woods twist. On summer months you may see children playing in the nearby yards, or passerbys exploring the mountain trails. Not too far from town, but removed enough to immerse yourself completely.
  • Staying at the Honey BnB is like staying in a warm, honey soaked, perfectly appointed dream land. The house has beautiful light in the morning that literally turns the house into a beautiful honey color haven, and the bed is perfectly positioned with a beautiful view of the pond to open your eyes to, and a panoramic view of the water and Mount Baker to your left. The pot belly is delicious, even though it is not needed for additional warmth as the house is super cozy. The kitchen is well appointed, with every thing you could ask for. The house is located in a beautiful and convenient location, within close driving distance of Eastsound. Mona was super easy to get in touch with and made the stay completely effortless. Would HIGHLY recommend staying at the Honey BnB if you're looking for a serenely beautiful and relaxing getaway.

    Iris2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place. Kitchen was very well stocked and amenities were more than we expected. The bed was fantastic (nice and firm). The wood stove heats the place wonderfully. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place. Highly recommend this place

    Stan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great cozy cabin next to a pond and with a view of the oceans and distant mountains. It was exactly the escape we were hoping for. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay on Orcas.

    Ben2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best airbnb I've ever stayed in. The fireplace, view, location, and the kitchen made this experience better than we could have expected. We could have left our own comforts behind because Mona has thought of everything. We didn't want to leave!

    Sara2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • It’s readily apparent to see why Mona has a perfect rating for her house and hospitality. The house is much larger than the photos convey; and while the photos are gorgeous, the house is even more so in person. Healthy live pants and fresh flowers inside are a nice touch, in addition to many cozy spots throughout (lots of throw blankets and spots to curl up in.) The kitchen is a dream for anyone who loves to cook! Very well-appointed with quality appliances, cooking supplies, spices, etc. Mona had a bag of fresh coffee beans and a bottle of wine waiting for us, as well as firewood for the wood-burning stove (my husband was obsessed with the fireplace and it was amazing to have a fire during the snowstorm.) Smart TVs upstairs and down meant we could stream movies via our Amazon and Netflix accounts. The full bath upstairs has radiant heat tile floors and a double set of shower heads and sinks, with nice bath products. The bed is one of the most important features of any stay and this bed is super comfy and lush! Loved the linen bedding ❤️ We spent a lot of time watching the private pond behind the house...lots of birds, deer, squirrels, a flock of resident wild turkeys, and even an otter came to hang out. Mona’s communication and graciousness made us feel completely at home. If you are seeking solitude, this is your place, it’s legit. Can’t wait to come back!

Dish TV and Internet available. (Some days the internet can be slow or iffy). New flat screen television. Lovely, secluded, tree-lined property, warm, furnished; self-contained get away with large deck and beautiful views of the Straight of Georgia.—you'll feel like you are in a tree house! We have a great variety of birds that visit our deck. Seat yourself and watch the ships go by inside or out. Check out the marine traffic. In the woods hideaway, but a very close drive to town. Please note that we live about 400' up the side of Buck Mountain. It is best to use the lowest gear driving up. This is a gravel road that has been recently redone and it is steep.
We are on Buck Mountain and many deer roam freely on the road. They have no fear of people or cars, so it is necessary to drive very slowly as you drive on Longwood Lane and continue up Robin Song Lane. Robin Song Lane is a steep, gravel road. Please use your lowest gear going up, as we are about 400' above sea level. Bald Eagles can frequently be seen flying in the distance from the deck. Many nights we hear Owls. And then there are the Woodpeckers! :)
  • We loved everything about our stay here. The pictures don't do Vicki's place justice. She was communicative from the get-go, sending us clear driving and check-in instructions. A goody basket greeted us, along with many other thoughtful touches. We appreciated the local tips, wood stove, and fully stocked kitchen. The perfect post-holiday getaway! Our only regret is that we couldn't have spent more time on the patio enjoying the stunning view -- guess we'll have to return in warmer weather!

    Andrea2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The views were spectacular and our host Vicki was kind, friendly and full of information about the island. We can’t wait to visit again!

    Dustin2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly magical. A slice of heaven. We came out on a chilly December weekend and enjoyed hanging by the wood burning furnace and soaking in the views while waiting for breaks in the rain to go hiking. At night you can see the lights from Vancouver across the water. Vicki is an awesome host - super friendly and ready to provide great local recs. Book this place, it will not disappoint. We'll certainly be back.

  • We had a delightful weekend at Vicki’s place. We arrived in a rainstorm, so we were actually living in a cloud for the first night and day. It made the view from the deck that much more special when the clouds parted. We appreciated all of the warm, colorful, and cozy touches throughout the apartment — slippers, fresh flowers, tea and coffee. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils, pots and pans and we enjoyed cooking there. Vicki also sent us an excellent list of activities and recommendations in advance of our trip which helped us make the most out of our time here. We highly recommend this stay!

  • Egads, we nearly don’t want to gush about this fabulous place because then we’ll never be able to book it again. The view is absolutely breathtaking, the space is beyond comfortable, and the amenities and personal touches are bar none, the best we’ve ever experienced. Vicki went above and beyond a host’s duty by coming down the hill and escorting us up in the dark for our own comfort, which we really appreciated. She was quick to text and communicate, superbly helpful, and just wonderful to meet. We woke up the next morning to robins singing and grazing baby deer right outside the door and THE most spectacular vista. It was so gorgeous! Kitchen is well equipped, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer en suite to take care of our hiking clothes after a long day out and about. Fresh flowers, warm booties, and guidebooks and puzzles made it so homey here. Also, lots of blankets, excellent heating, and a super soft bed made this a squishy awesome hang out home for a wintertime visit. It was hard to want to leave and go see the island versus just sipping tea and enjoying the view from the comfort of Robin Song!! Thank you, Vicki, for this wonderful, wonderful stay. We hope to see you again soon!

    J.2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • We spent an extended time at Vicki’s gorgeous studio. It was fabulous. The space has everything we needed, along with some extra special touches. The view is amazing and never got old. Vicki was a wonderful host, always there when we needed anything or had a question, but definitely gave us our space. We will be back for sure, as we love Orcas and we loved this air bnb.

    Darlene2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures don't do this place justice..... absolutely stunning! Vicki is great, island is charming and full of adventure, and Vicki's place is beyond beautiful.....

    Aaron2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Robin Song is such a special place and Vicki is an exceptional host! The decor, personal touches and environment were perfect. One of our most favorite Air BnB's we've stayed at. I could have stayed on the deck the whole weekend but thanks to Vicki's recommendations we had many adventures. We are headed back home rested and relaxed and ready to make our next plan to visit!

Our to-go cafe, fuel, and grocery store will remain open at limited hours. Hot tub is closed. Our classic beachfront cabins have recently been remodeled with a charm all their own. Most have hardwood floors and pine walls throughout. They are our "classic" West Beach Cabins and are our most popular. Their romantic charm and unique design are popular for those wanting a step above our standard beachfront cabins. Well-behaved pets are welcome only in certain classic beachfront cabins and by prior arrangement only at $19/pet/night. All of our cabins are non-smoking. Parking is available directly next to each unit. Cabins are rated for four with a maximum occupancy of six. Included in the living area is a wood-burning stove, futon or hide-a-bed, coffee table, reading chair w/ light, and dining table/chairs. Electric heat is also provided throughout the unit. Hardwood floors and charming accents deliver that cozy cabin-on-the-beach feel. The full kitchen comes fully stocked with all dishware and utensils for six people. Also included is a refrigerator, range, sink, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Specialty dishware may not be in the unit (glass cookware, large crab boiling pots, etc.), but ask us as we may have them for loan at our store. Also included is a full bathroom with towels and toiletries provided. Two separate bedrooms, each with queen beds, are situated off the main living area. The covered beachfront patio includes a table, chairs, charcoal BBQ and utensils, and amazing westerly views and wildlife viewing! Step off the patio and relax next to your private beachside firepit. Two beach chairs, table, and a picnic table with umbrella (seasonal) are also included. Or, hop onto the beach and lift up a few rocks - you might be surprised at what little creatures you'll find!
We have an on-site coffee bar, draft beer and wine, grocery store, marina, activities, rentals, and more. All on-site!
  • This place is great for dogs. We had a dog-approved unit right on the beach, classic beach cabin decor, super cute and cozy. The set up makes it easy to clean up after the dogs and we appreciate that the unit is fairly dog-proof. Loved sleeping with the sound of the surf and warming up with a real wood fire.

  • Cute cabin, not far from town but still in a nice bay away from weather. Check in was friendly and quick and staff is outstanding. Will definitely be back!!

    Pamela2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Even with the rain and the cold, this cabin was exactly what we needed for a short weekend getaway. The cabin itself has all the necessities and none of the frills. We really enjoyed not having a television and unplugging for a day. Main Street is only a ten minute drive for restaurants and grocery stores. I can’t wait to revisit in the warmer months.

    Katie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a beautiful location and perfect little cabin on the beach!

    Kati2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great views of the Salish Sea in a cozy cabin a rocks throw from the water.

    James2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The beachfront cabins are awesome, and the whole resort is wonderful! The store/front desk is great for quick snacks, coffee, wine and beer. Everyone who works there is incredibly nice, welcoming and helpful. We stayed during the winter when it’s much quieter on the island and some of the restaurants are closed for the season, and being in the cabins was perfect because we had a view of the water from our windows, an adorable and warm wood burning stove, and a full kitchen for cooking when we didn’t want to go out. It’s very convenient to Eastsound and other parts of the island we wanted to visit, but also a great place to just enjoy the lovely island scenery. The fire pits outside on the water were excellent as well as the front porch with grill and table and chairs. I’ve read some other reviews that are grumpy about there not being a TV in the beachside cabins, but for $12/night we rented a tv/dvd combo from the front desk, and it was perfect for nighttime movies. And no, you definitely don’t need a TV out there, but if you do want to watch movies, it’s very convenient. We were also traveling with our dog, and it’s a wonderful place for dogs. Plenty of areas to walk around both on pathways, the front lawn of the cabin and on the beach. It’s a very dog friendly property, and everyone was very respectful of the dogs, and all the ones we encountered were incredibly well behaved and seemed to be having a wonderful time. We truly enjoyed our stay...my only complaint was that we had to leave. Can’t wait to come back!

  • We stayed for our one year anniversary and the location was beautiful. We were notified that our room was ready earlier than expected which was a nice surprise. The cabin was very clean and we loved being able to have our two dogs with us! We loved our stay and would come back again!

  • Todd and Lori provided us with such an amazing experience of Orcas Island! Their space is perfect for relaxing with your group and having enough room and activities to keep entertained- especially for us when there was unexpected, strong gusts of wind. They were responsive and provided great suggestions for things to do on the island. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking in and the hot tub was certainly the cherry on top. I HIGHLY recommend their space for your island getaway- they are incredibly kind and work towards making sure your time is well had.

    Krysta2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Todd and Lori’s home far exceeded my expectations. They thought of pretty much everything we could possible need or want, even providing a backpack for hiking (I took mine out of my car by mistake just that morning!) They were very responsive when we had an issue with a neighbor’s dog escaping, even offering to come stay with the dog until it’s owner’s returned so that we wouldn’t miss our dinner reservations. My only gripe is that we didn’t stay long enough/have clear enough weather to utilize the bbq or fire pit (next time, for sure!)

    Courtney2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for a work trip, I’m used to getting a mixed bag when it comes to house rentals, but this place is great. The quality of the kitchen ware made cooking away from home enjoyable. Comfortable beds, good water pressure and a great view of the sound.

    Austin2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • It one of the best place I've ever stayed. So stylish and beautiful! Highly recommended!

    Irina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This property has so much to offer for a large family or just a couple looking to spend some quality time together. My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with the comforts of this beautiful home with gorgeous views of the Sound. Whether you choose to Relax in the hot tub, play cards on the deck or just sit and watch the deer, you won’t be disappointed you booked this exceptional home.

    Jamie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Top-notch house: It’s exactly how it’s described and everything is in perfect working order. The views are epic and it’s just up the road (walking distance if you don’t mind a hill) from a fun bar/restaurant at Rosario. Inside, it’s clear care was taken to ensure we’d have everything we needed.

    Sean2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, superbly maintained, excellently equipped, outstanding interior, beautiful surroundings,...by owners who care and take great pride in their place. Full marks.

    Sandra2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house was everything and then some! I was amazed by the house having EVERYTHING needed! Things I forgot to being where already there. The dog bowls and dog bed just in case you bring your dog was great! We will for sure bring our little pooch next time. The hot tub was amazing with the view. We were lucky enough to have snow and oh the trees just were gorgeous! The book with all directions and suggestions were perfect! You will not regret staying there!

Perch is located in a quiet neighborhood, overlooking and a stroll away from the historic Rosario Resort, where you'll find boating, dining, and spa amenities year-round in an early 1900s setting. In the bustling summer season, you can get a pass to the pools, enjoy their Marina Bar & Grill, rent a kayak and even take whale watching trips. • The perfect spot to enjoy beautiful Orcas Island. We enjoyed the luxurious accommodations and the wonderful views from Perch. Can’t wait to return next year!

    Christy2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy retreat with the perfect location near Rosario Resort and a quick drive away from Eastsound! The house was well stocked which made it easy to cook meals. While we spent most of our time exploring the island, it was very relaxing to have a morning coffee on the sundeck.

    Laura2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This house could not be better situated, better adapted to the environment, or better appointed for a stay on Orcas Island. It sits maybe a 1/4 mile from the dock below, and maybe a mile from Moran State Park. It is far enough from town to offer absolute quiet at night but close enough so that you don't feel like you are stranded if you need anything from the supermarket or anywhere else. And, if you're not interested in doing anything but watching the weather from inside or outside of the house, it is an extraordinarily well-designed oasis. Everyone should be so lucky.

  • Perch was even better than I could have imagined. Merrill has thought of everything to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of spices and condiments to make cooking at home easier, plenty of toiletries are provided, and there is even a “junk” drawer with anything random you may need. The view is spectacular and we enjoyed using the provided binoculars to look out on the water. The interior and exterior of the home is fantastic. We especially loved the fire pit and deck outside. Hiking access to Moran State Park is just down the road, too. Seriously, this place is great! Thanks Merrill!!

    Brittany2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I Highly recommend The Perch. We have stayed at plenty Airbnb’s and this one was our favorite. The location was amazing and perfectly secluded. The house was clean as a whistle and the views were breathtaking. We loved all the sliding glass doors that opened you up to nature. We cooked two amazing meals and we had everything we needed in the house. The fire pit was a bonus which we enjoyed every night. The beds were very comfortable giving us a good night’s sleep. We would definitely stay here again. Angele & Chad Charlet

  • Merrill's place was fantastic! The location was stunning, the space was thoughtfully laid out, and Merrill was a welcoming host who communicated with us regularly in the lead up to our stay. Merrill has thought of every detail, from the kitchen utensils to the bathroom products to the house guidebook and beyond. And of course, that view! The entire living area faces the water, and it looks even better in real life than it did in the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I would definitely stay here again.

  • Amazing place!!! Thank you SO much for such a beautiful place 🙏

    Taylor2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • I greatly enjoyed my stay at Susan’s property. The location is fabulous and the views are stunning. I found the space provided just what I needed in a comfy cozy setting. The local Orcas coffee grounds provided an inspired way to start the day. The propane stove kept me warm inside while the rain pattered down outside. The check-in process was easy as was the offsite parking. I would recommend this space to anyone wanting to enjoy a stay in ‘downtown’ Eastsound.
