The house is located in a very small village. The place is so restful. Please take binoculars and camera because you 'll certainly see wild animals from the terrace.

  • I fell for the pictures of the amazing view. Nothing has been lied to! Every moment of the day fantastic! The area is really breathtaking. You spot the deer from the terrace or during walks in the area. The landscape is very rich, beautiful flowers and extremely many butterflies. But the house is also lovely inside. Better than the photos. Light, with a nice spacious and well-equipped kitchen, and wonderful bathroom. You can enjoy the scenery even while cooking. The location is very suitable for long walks and for cyclists. PR 33 runs right past the house, and GR also passes right by. For example, you can rent bikes further down the road at col de la Llose bv. Although in the hamlet of Talau you have neighbors nearby and a Romanesque church in the back, you are really remote here. The baker (and epicerie) eg is half an hour away (by car) on the beautiful narrow winding roads to Matemale. So if you want the rugged beautiful nature of these Catalan Pyrenees and you want the best view, then this is the place for you! But if you still want to indulge in culinary delights - go to Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant la Chaumiere in Font Romeu .. don't be put off by the ski resort that this is - really a great restaurant; if you like really good food and do not necessarily want the foams, creams, chips and ointments characteristic of many of the star restaurants .. then go here. All in all beautiful house in a breathtaking place, a delight for active outdoor people - or for people who do not want to get rid of their place because with this view that is actually not necessary. Do bring ff groceries then

  • A lodging at the height of our hopes, a breathtaking view, just amazing! The house is large and very well equipped, the pellet stove allows to have a very well heated house. The atmosphere and decor also brings a lot of charm, ideal for recharging. Top to have the stereo with lots of CDs! There are plenty of toys and the large, closed tub is great for the kids. And the welcome by Sylvie was very pleasant. I recommend without hesitation this accommodation! On the other hand, having in mind that the house is relatively far from civilization, it takes at least 30 minutes to reach small towns with a few shops, perso it did not bother us but we must have the lead.

  • We spent Christmas at Marjorie and Stephan’s place and we can say we would definitely come back. The views of the cottage are the best! Just amazing to watch the sunrise everyday and have a wonderful view of the Canigou. The place is huge, even bigger than what it seems in the pictures, clean, comfy and has all the appliances you need. We stayed with a 2-month baby and had a cradle and changing table. My only comment is that you have to pay a considerable amount for cleaning fee, but once you leave, you’re required to clean toilets, kitchen, fridge, etc and to leave everything where it was. I understand we are supposed to leave the place in good conditions, but it would be great to have that clarified in the house rules, as it takes time to do it. Anyway, we absolutely recommend their place and would definitely come back. Thanks Marjorie and Stephan!

    Dans un minuscule village de montagne, vous pourrez vous réfugier dans cette ancienne grange rénovée avec beaucoup de goût et entièrement équipée. Vous y serez au calme, avec une vue splendide sur le Canigou, un feu de bois pour l'hiver, une jolie cour pour prendre vos repas et vous reposer. Vous pourrez commencer vos randonnées dès la porte de la maison. À proximité: eaux thermales, manifestations culturelles (musique, cinéma…), ski, sites historiques, vins, gastronomie et surtout la nature...
    La Grange d'Oreilla, comme son nom l'indique, est un ancien fenil entièrement aménagé avec des matériaux naturels (pierre, bois, chaux) et équipé de tout le confort moderne. La maison est constituée d'un seul espace ouvert (sauf la salle de bain, bien entendu) sur deux niveaux. La cuisine, qui ouvre sur la cour, est bien fournie en vaisselle (y compris verres à vin et carafe!) et en électroménager (frigo avec petit congélateur; lave-vaisselle; four à micro-ondes et four électrique performant; cuisinière en vitrocéramique à 4 feux avec hotte; cafetière, bouilloire et grille-pain électriques; fer à repasser; grand cumulus pour l'eau chaude). Au fond, sous la mezzanine, le salon prolonge le même espace et son côté intimiste donne envie de paresser au coin du feu après une bonne randonnée ou de regarder (un peu!) la télévision si le temps se gâte trop. Il se compose d'un divan et d'un fauteuil convertibles, ainsi que d'un fauteuil type rocking-chair. La salle de bain occupe l'espace restant sous la mezzanine. Petite, mais tout à fait commode avec sa douche à l'italienne, et très mignonne, elle est chauffée à l'électricité. Un magnifique escalier en bois vous conduit à la chambre sur la mezzanine (attention, elle n’est séparée du reste du logement que par une rambarde, l’espace est ouvert). Dans le grand lit, vous pourrez dormir la tête dans les étoiles, car les grandes fenêtres offrent une vue imprenable sur le mont Canigou, la montagne sacrée des Catalans, mais aussi sur le mont Coronat, le Tres Esteles et j'en passe. Une table avec deux sièges vous permet d'écrire ou de travailler à l'ordinateur face à ces merveilles (pour moi, c'est le plus grand attrait de la maison, mais chacun ses goûts). Un fauteuil convertible peut accueillir vos méditations poétiques ou votre jeune enfant pour la nuit. Dans la cour aux murs de pierre et au sol dallé d'ardoises, une grande table avec parasol et ses chaises sont prêtes pour l'apéro au retour d'une randonnée. Le barbecue permet de rester dehors pour le repas, et la chaise longue invite à la lecture ou à la sieste. Vraiment, la Grange d'Oreilla est un refuge idéal pour les amoureux de la nature qui recherchent le calme.
    Comme je le disais plus haut, la Grange d'Oreilla est un refuge idéal pour les amoureux de la nature qui recherchent le calme. Ils peuvent s'y reposer dans un cadre enchanteur, y faire un nombre incalculable de randonnées, prendre les eaux thermales à quelques kilomètres et s'en servir comme base de départ pour connaître une région pleine d'attraits variés. Si vous avez de jeunes enfants, la Grange présente également de grands avantages : Oreilla est un village minuscule et très calme, très peu de voitures roulent dans ses rues étroites (uniquement celles des quelques habitants qui rejoignent leur maison) et elles roulent toujours au pas. De plus, tout le monde se connaît, et vos enfants pourront aller jouer sur la place en toute sécurité et faire connaissance avec les petits voisins. Quoi qu'il en soit, cela vaut la peine de connaître le village, suspendu à flanc de montagne, face au Canigou et dominant les vallées de la Têt, du Cabrils et de la rivière d'Évol. C'est un village de bout du monde (la route ne va pas plus loin), bien qu'il ne soit qu'à 5 km de la route nationale. Il ne compte pas plus d'une vingtaine d'habitants à l'année et pourtant il a encore son maire et ses conseillers municipaux. Ses anciennes maisons en pierre, la plupart avec un four à pain, s'alignent le long d'une rue unique qui dessine un S quelque peu tortueux. Beaucoup sont fermées l'hiver, mais s'ouvrent le week-end et pendant les vacances, surtout les vacances d'été. Les rapports avec les habitants sont simples et cordiaux. Il vous suffit de vous asseoir sur la place, d'aller chercher de l'eau à la fontaine ou de laver votre linge à l'ancien lavoir pour entamer la conversation avec l'un ou l'autre. Si le village est petit, le territoire de la commune est immense et la montagne d'Oreilla regorge de gibier. C'est une chasse très prisée, pour ceux qui aiment. Pour ceux qui se contentent d'observer les animaux, il peuvent monter, en direction de Celrà, puis de la Pelade et de l'Escoutou, pour observer biches, cerfs, chevreuils, mouflons, perdrix en nombre souvent impressionnant. Il arrive même que l'on surprenne des animaux sur la route en remontant au village la nuit : sanglier, chevreuil, blaireau ou lièvre, c'est toujours une bonne surprise si on reste prudent. La vue est imprenable et l'exposition sud-est est idéale : vous serez réveillés par le soleil qui pointe son nez derrière le Canigou et vous pourrez profiter de ses rayons dans la cour pendant l'après-midi. Et vous pourrez commencer vos randonnées dès que vous aurez passé la porte de la maison ! Attention cependant, il n'y a aucun commerce dans le village. N'oubliez pas de faire vos courses avant d'arriver.

  • It is a really beautiful and comfortable house. It has everything and was very clean. It is a small village and far from everything, but if you want to disconnect it is the right place. Also at night you can see a beautiful and starry sky. The room above has beautiful views, I could spend hours sitting watching through the large window. Every day I woke up to see the sunrise and it is a beautiful gift of nature that you should not miss. Genevieve is super friendly and her husband too. It was a different Christmas! Ideal to escape and rest.

  • The house has an outstanding location with a stunning view of Mt Canigou from the bedroom. It has all the facilities needed for a stay in the mountains and was a perfect base for walking. We'd come by public transport and easily found the short but strenuous walk to the village from the bus stop in Olette. We were there in late October so it was chilly at night but the wood burner kept us very cosy. There are no shops in the village, limited ones in Olette, but Prades, the local town, has everything you need.

  • We had a pleasant stay in Vernet-les-Bains. We stayed in a clean and well equipped apartment. We were close to several hikes, an animal park, a cave and the casino. A little further we did the baths of St. Thomas and the open air baths and we enjoyed ourselves. Finally we went to the resort (about 1 hour drive) where we were able to do dog sledding, the children loved it and so did we! I highly recommend. Yvan was also responsive to my messages.

Escaro is an adorable village where we felt perfectly serene and let our children frolic safely to the city park where they could make friends. Visit the museum of the mine and surroundings to recommend. Good starting point for cycling or hiking (Col de Mantet where we met a part of the Mitchelton-Scott team in training). To refresh, it is also possible to dive in the stream near Sahorre village where you will find a very good butcher (who groceries). The restaurant "Café Restaurant de la Mine" in Sahorre is absolutely recommendable. In short, great stay in disconnect mode! We recommend this rental. Thanks to Andrée for his welcome.

  • Escaro is a charming village, very quiet. The nature around is beautiful and the view from the house is beautiful. Our children were able to play all week with children from the village and came back delighted. There are very nice sites to see around (Villefranche-de-Conflent, the abbeys, the mountain, etc.) and gastronomy to discover. The house is very well equipped and Andrée and her husband were very attentive and responsive hosts. Note: the wifi can only be picked up on the ground floor, in a part of the living room and the bathroom and reception 4G is random. These are mostly disconnected holidays. We highly recommend this location.

  • Great time in Talau! The setting is beautiful, absolutely breathtaking! And the cottage very nice, cozy, warm, pretty and well equipped (kitchen appliances, pellet stove, great bathroom, but also board games, books, music, etc ...). It feels like home, I recommend! (Be careful though to the steep access road, passing through the other side of the valley (by Llangone) is an easier option I think, and if you are many, just know that there has little sound insulation between rooms).

  • We rented this cottage mid-March to enjoy the last snow in Font-Romeu. Regarding the reception, if we did not see the owners during our stay, we were in contact permanently. They have been of great availability at a distance. I had answers to my questions within ten minutes. For the description of the gîte: Pretty village house well renovated and warmly decorated. This cottage located at the entrance of the hamlet is on three levels. On the ground floor, we discover a large fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, large fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, ...) and a living room with fireplace, two sofas and a TV. On the 1st floor, a living room with television and sofa bed, a bedroom with a bed 2 places, a separate toilet and a shower room. On the 2nd floor, a room with television, a bed 2 places, a bed 1 place, a mezzanine with bunk beds and bed-umbrella, a bathroom with WC, tub and shower. There is also access from the outside to the laundry room containing washing machine and dryer. Convenience: Located near Olette, we have access to local shops. And 20 minutes from Prades, to enjoy a supermarket. Listed activities: there are many activities to do around the cottage. we did not have the opportunity to do them all because our stay was only 4 days. But we had identified a number. On a radius of less than an hour of car, we can mention: The hamlet is ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, it is a very nice stroll to stroll through its streets. You can even go outside the village and go to the castle, or take the historical path. The area is known for its hot springs that allow you to relax in 37 ° C outdoor water. There are 3 famous places, one of which is located at 15 minutes: the baths of St Thomas, in Fontpédrouse. The more adventurous can look for "wild" hot springs. The hamlet is located between two fortifications of Vauban (military architect of Louis XIV): Villefranche-de-Conflent downstream, and Montlouis upstream. Near Mont Louis, there is also the solar oven, which can be visited, and a little further to Spain, there is the solar oven Odeillo, one of the largest in the world and the solar power plant Themis with animations during the school holidays. It is possible to visit this region with the Yellow Train, a great local pride. The ski resort Font-Romeu is located 40 minutes from the cottage. There is plenty to do! We will definitely come back to continue our exploration.

  • Great stay in a spacious house (we were six) and very well equipped. There is nothing missing. The house is well placed, out of Villefranche de Conflent, to refuel in croissants and bread in the morning for breakfast and make sandwiches for hikes. From the house you can walk to the train station to catch the yellow train. We took it to the Baths of St. Thomas for an afternoon of relaxation (be careful 45 minutes walk from the station, being many we coupled train and car to avoid walking and enjoy baths longer). Always beautiful region and always new things and landscapes to discover whenever you come. we will come back.

    Nous louons notre petit studio de montagne pour amoureux de la nature. Une vue exceptionnelle sur le Pic Madres s’offre à vous avec des couleurs toujours changeantes au cours de la journée. Nous ne vous accueillons pas sur place, ni ne mettons à disposition literie et serviettes de bain. Nous n'avons pas ajouté de "cleaning fee" vous êtes responsable du lieu comme dans un refuge de montagne. C'est donc un lieu pour personnes responsables, honnêtes et qui souhaitent être tranquilles.
    MERCI DE BIEN LIRE TOUTE LA DESCRIPTION AVANT DE RESERVER Le studio est très petit 17m2. Pour 2 personnes c’est parfait, pour 4 personnes c’est bien moins confortable mais toutefois cela se fait. Ces studios cabine étaient conçus pour des familles de 4 venant skier sur la station. L'endroit est très simple, amis et famille continuent à y aller. Le lieu n'est pas 100% dédié à la location Airbnb. Nous faisons de notre mieux pour rendre cet endroit le plus facile et comfortable mais toutefois merci de prendre en compte que ce n'est pas un business pour nous, que nous ne sommes pas sur place et que des imperfections peuvent donc arriver. Ce studio est à voir plus comme un "refuge de montagne" où vous êtes indépendants et responsables, que comme un hôtel. Pas de literie ni de serviettes de bain fournis. Le studio n’est pas neuf, il a vécu, à chaque location nous investissons cependant pour le rendre le plus accueillant possible. Nous venons d'ailleurs de refaire le plafond en sapin grâce à vos locations !
    Avec d’un côté la vallée du Donnezan (Ariège) et de l’autre le Capcir, Puyavalador est une destination idéale pour les amoureux de la nature. Dans le studio pas de wifi et peu de couverture réseau autour, vous vous retrouverez dans un petit cocon montagnard. La station la plus proche est Formiguères (10km), très jolie petite station familiale, pas trop chère, avec de très belles pistes et hors pistes (Vallée du Galbe). Vous trouverez ensuite les Angles avec un plus grand domaine et un très bon snowpark ! Du côté Ariège il y a Mijanes, petite station traditionnelle moins bondée que les stations du capcir. Pour la détente vous trouverez la nouvelle station thermale des Angles (ANGLEO)

Enneigement assuré grâce à un équipement en canon à neige. --- Ski nordique : raquettes, au bord du Lac de Matemale ou en forêt (des kilomètres de pistes et de sentiers aménagés pour découvrir la nature).     Notre gîte Nadir se situe au rez-de-chaussée de la maison d’hôtes « À l’ombre du Fort » et bénéficie d’une entrée indépendante. Avec ses 70m2, il peut accueillir confortablement 4 personnes grâce à ses 2 chambres indépendantes. Très lumineux, sur 3 faces, il offre un bel espace de séjour avec une cuisine équipée. Idéal pour les familles, les amis, les randonneurs, amateurs d'activités de pleine nature. Sur place, un café, un restaurant , et une petite épicerie! :) Au plaisir de vous accueillir :)
    Le logement est idéal pour venir passer quelques jours en famille ou entre amis!.Il est composée de 2 pièces, une partie "Nuit" qui permettent d'accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes, et une partie "Jour", pour les repas, ou bien des soirées au coin de la cheminée :) . La chambre est équipée de toilettes et douches individuels, dans la partie "Jour", vous trouverez un coin cuisine entierement équipé, un frigo et un petit congélateur. Vous serez au calme , au coeur du village de Py, sur le GR10 et à quelques pas de la Réserve Naturelle. Il est possible de prendre le petit déjeuner , composé de produits locaux (en supplément), servi par nos soins, mais vous pouvez être en parfaite autonomie Tout est inclus dans la chambre, draps, serviettes, et ménage.

  • An ideal place for sportsmen or people looking for calm or serenity. The cottage is certainly small but equipped with all the necessary equipment for a good stay. The village of Py is a bit isolated but really gives off something. It is also the starting point for many hikes. I recommend!
