  • Michael was a great host.

  • Michael is a great communicator and made us feel very welcome before we even arrived. All the beds were very comfortable and the entire home was clean and homey. This is an historic home so don't be surprised that the steps to upstairs are pretty steep and narrow. There are two queen beds and a twin downstairs with easy access for we 'oldsters'. Our granddaughters loved the upstairs.

  • This beautiful, historic home provided a great base for our relaxing weekend. We brought supplies for dinner and found the kitchen well-equipped. The porch was our favorite spot to watch the sunset. We ventured out to Buzzard Rock for some local hiking and enjoyed the drive. There were only two of us so we stayed in a cozy bedroom in the back but there was a lot of bed space upstairs.

This lovely creekside cabin is on one of southwestern Ohio's premier deepwater fishing and boating streams. Private and cozy, this Amish-built retreat is well appointed and well cared for and has a large dock. The hosts are well known for their hospitality. The rate is a flat rate and there are no additional taxes or fees.
Eagle Creek Country Cabin is one of the few rental cabins in southwestern Ohio along a deepwater creek where you can ride your kayak, canoe, or pontoon boat right to a dock and walk up to your cabin. The cabin is one mile upstream from what many say is the deepest, cleanest, and most scenic stretch of the Ohio River. The water depth just off the cabin's private dock is around 19 feet, and huge catfish and many bass inhabit the water's depths. Please keep in mind that to go between the cabin and the dock one must walk up and down a grassy incline. A one-night rate (Sun - Th) is $110. The weekend requires a two night stay and is $250 (Friday & Saturday). There is an additional charge of $15 per night per guest over 2 up to a max of 4 guests. Children under 5 stay free. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. A week's stay is the maximum length of a rental.
Cabin is located in an area of mixed weekend homes and permanent residences. The cabin has a large yard that provides space and privacy. There are many local eateries and national franchise restaurants nearby. Maysville, Kentucky, ten minutes away, is a small city where you can find all your basic needs (i.e Kroger/Walmart etc...) Located five miles away is a nature preserve with miles of hiking.
  • My family and I had such a good weekend at Darci and Steve's cabin. It was picture perfect. CLEAN..very well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed exploring the creek on the peddle boat ,fishing from the dock , cooking and making smores over the fire pit. Overall a wonderful experience.

    Amber2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing! The cabin is adorable, cozy and steps from the water. We enjoyed Fishing, bird watching, Fishing, camp fires and did I say fishing. We took advantage of using the trolling motor for the boat. Not only did we catch fish, but loved the scenery and the Fall foliage. To top all Steve and Darci were Great. Could not have asked for more. Can’t wait to go again. Thank you!!!

    John & Heather2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and charming log cabin, hosted by Darci and Steve who provided everything we could want. The dock on the Eagle Creek/River provided peace and quiet. Plenty of recreational equipment to boat, fish or do absolutely nothing but decompress and rest in the quiet....which is what we came for. We’ll be back!

    Gary2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beatiful cabin in a perfect location! Doesn't get much better than this place for a relaxing weekend in the woods.

    Christina2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin by the creek. We enjoyed lunches on the deck, dinners on the patio, and daily campfires at the creeks edge. Rowboat, pedal boat, and kayaks were available to enjoys casual trips on the creek. From the cabin to the creek/fire ring is a little steep-ish hill, NOTHING terrible at all just something to be aware of if mobility is an issue. Very nice little get away that we hope we can return to soon!

    Tony2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 5th year in a row to visit Eagle Creek. Darci and Steve are thoughtful hosts! I will continue to recommend this property to friends and family.

  • This was an excellent place for me to crash while while working at the International Paper in Maysville Kentucky. I liked the interaction between the hosts and I, and we got along very well. Another friend of mine found this place and rented the other room for three weeks while we were doing the turn around. The hosts did not even mind my "urban sprawl" of my stuff on their kitchen table. I would highly recommend this place and the hosts, and will stay again when in the area.

  • This was the cheapest AirBnb we’ve Stayed and one of the best. Marissa and Josh are the best hosts you can wish for. They make you feel at home right away. The dogs are so sweet also to our 2,5 year old daughter. We had really interesting conversations and we would recommend everyone staying here!

In town on business, a vacation or visiting family? This is a great place to stay for 1 night or a week. Our home is a three story brick that dates back to the early 1900s and is located in the historic district of downtown Maysville, Kentucky. The bottom level is a private, walk-out apartment and has a locked door on both sides. The main floor and top floor are yours. We love downtown Maysville and we like to give travelers visiting our city the opportunity to live like a local.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a sunroom with a twin bed (please note, the twin is not in a private, closed in area), a large eat in kitchen and living room. Two bedrooms and one bath are located on the top floor. The bedroom located on the main floor also has a pull out couch. The house is completely furnished and the kitchen is stocked with all you need to eat a bowl of cereal or cook a full meal. There is both a Keurig with coffee pods and a regular coffee pot. There is a side porch where you can sit, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Sometimes it's just the "little things" whether that means walking to a festival or enjoying the architecture downtown, touring the Pogue Distillery, visiting the amazing, world renowned collection of miniatures at the Gateway Museum, fossil collecting, relaxing on the porch or having a place to stay where the family can be together. If you are looking for the perfect place to spend one night or the week, this is it! Traveling for work & see a 2 week availability or more during that time? Message me for a special offer.
We are within walking distance of O'Rourke's Pub, where you can order a pizza and a beer; the Crowe Bar, where you can catch a local band playing on the weekend or enjoy a drink in their courtyard, Buck’s Barbecue for some delicious brisket; and Chandler's, a local restaurant where you can relax over a great meal. Also Chandler's Bar, which is smokefree, is a beautifully renovated space where you can enjoy a drink and an order of delicious pork rinds! Delites has a wonderful breakfast and the Parc Café has a beautiful courtyard where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or an item from their excellent breakfast and lunch selection. (check their hours. They are closed on Saturday) Stop in Sprinkles of Hope at 9 W 2nd and get a cup of soup or a delicious deli sandwich and don't leave without a cupcake or three! New to the area is Syleetos across from the Pub where you can get freshly made tortillas paired with high quality, healthy ingredients for a delicious "Roll Your Own" burrito! We are right around the corner from the wonderful festivals such as Uncorked in June, Oktoberfest in August, and Pig Out in September. There is also a 4th of July Celebration. We have Pickers and Grinners' Farmers Market once a month in the summer where you can find art, music, food, drinks and fun. Check out the City of Maysville calendar for the most up to date schedule of dockings for the Queen of the Mississippi. All year long you can enjoy fossil hunting.

  • Marissa and Josh are the best hosts a person can hope for. They are both intelligent, conscientious, and very gracious hosts!!!!! They made my stay very memorable- Thank you

    Jose And Marina2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Every hotel within a 40+ mile radius was booked, and after spending two hours trying to find somewhere to stay I was reminded about air bnb. I crossed my fingers and entered my location, almost immediately Marissa's place popped up. Reviews were excellent, and it was only 20 minutes away from where I was. As a single mother traveling with her daughter for business I was feeling anxious about not finding a hotel room close to where I needed to be the next morning and desperate for something. Marissa didn't have hardly any dates blocked out (thankfully), so I booked it and within minutes she responded. I literally showed up 17 minutes later to find her and Josh outside welcoming me and my child. The hospitality from Marissa and Josh was refreshing, but more so was the love from their adorable pets. Even if you're not an animal person they block the rooms you would use from the fur-babies and they are well behaved. I was impressed to find a great place in the middle of what seems nowhere. So if you're passing through and have a dilemma similar to mine, or want to save some money book Marissa's abode. I was shocked to find the rate was so low. All the extra touches (amenities) Marissa provides is worth the current rate imo. We will def visit again if ever in the area or close by. Thanks again Marissa, Josh, Link, Zelda and Midna :)

  • An absolutely amazing host. They take care of you like family, really understanding of peoples needs and they treat you with utmost respect. They have a lot to offer than just a room to stay at.Highly recommend their place!!

  • We were two female recent college grads looking for a safe, and inexpensive place to spend the night. Marissa and Josh’s place well exceeded our expectations. They provided welcome baskets in the bathroom and bedroom with anything you could possibly need (everything from hairties to tourist attraction ideas). They were so kind and welcoming we spent much time chatting with them. Their dogs are sweet as can be. They provided coffee and made us breakfast in the morning which was delicious. This place is worth so much more than what it’s listed as. Even if you don’t have a reason to visit Adams County Ohio you should make one up just to stay here. We honestly can’t say enough good things about our stay.

    Victoria2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay here. Marissa is very sociable and made sure that I had everything I needed.

    Jonathan2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Marissa and her husband were very welcoming. They were willing to accommodate my late nights and early mornings (I was attending a conference). There were thoughtful touches, including leaving the bedroom lamp on so that I would not arrive in the dark. There are two large dogs who are very gentle and friendly, though one did jump up on me a couple different times. It was simply being happy/friendly, though I am very grateful my clothes didn't get muddy and I'm not afraid of dogs. :) Everything was lovely. No cell reception, but that written in the listing so I was not surprised. Wifi worked very well, allowing me to text and use the internet on my laptop easily. It gets very dark out there at night, allowing for lovely views of the stars! Communication through airbnb was easy and Marissa responded quickly each time I contacted her. Many thanks for wonderful kindness and hospitality.

  • A "tiny home" is not perhaps perfectly right for everyone, but it was perfect for us (two 61-year-olds) and met and exceeded our expectations. Make sure to bring apples or carrots to feed all three donkeys, who will become fast friends, fast. The setting is incomparably lovely. We were there in the middle of a drought, so the creek's water level was down, but it was still quite beautiful. I can only imagine what it sounds like when the water's running and the air, crisp. We took off for walks, we took off on drives into the country, we crossed the ferry twice, we sipped George Clooney's tequila, though not with him, and overall, had a gay-old time. We enjoyed a fire in the fire-pit, we used the one-burner hot-plate to boil camp coffee, and cooked nice breakfasts both days. We took showers, we washed dishes. The "tiny home" was perfect for us. We're excited to return. Celine is a perfect hostess.

  • My wife and I had a delightful stay at the tiny house on Potato Hill Farm! The hosts were wonderful and the hospitality was fantastic! You will love staying here!

  • The tiny house is exceptional, the property is fantastic, Celine is the best part of the whole experience. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to returning.

  • My friend and I absolutely loved it! We spent most of our time riding our motorcycles, so the tiny house was perfect for the two of us. The location is perfect for hitting the twisty roads of NKY! Keep in mind that this is a tiny house, therefore it is very small but works well for 2 people. The hosts were fantastic...made sure we had everything we needed. We decided to stay an extra night!!

Just over an hour from Cincinnati and just 7 miles from historic Maysville, this cabin is a great easy getaway! Enjoy the great outdoors with your own private dock (kayak and canoe included), relax on one of the multiple decks, or spend the evenings star gazing around the bonfire. Inside, enjoy the views, make a delicious dinner in the full kitchen or on the outdoor grill or just relax and watch a movie. NOTE: The dock will be taken out of the water from November-April.
One of Cincinnati's best keep secrets, Eagle Creek/Ripley and nearby Maysville will fill your weekend with outdoor activities, history, and relaxation. Our all-seasons cabin (central AC and heat) is one of the few rental cabins in southwestern Ohio along a deepwater creek where you can ride your kayak, canoe, or pontoon boat right to a dock with a short walk through the yard to the cottage. Please note, the dock will be taken out of the water between the months of November-April, however the cabin, decks, and fire pit are all still available in the winter months. The cottage is a little over one mile upstream from what many say is the deepest, cleanest, and most scenic stretch of the Ohio River. The water depth just off the cabin's private dock is around 19 feet, and, if you're a fisherman, huge catfish and many bass and crappie inhabit the water's depths. If not- spend your days floating in any of the inner tubes we provide or relaxing with a great view! The cottage comes with both outdoor and indoor activities. There is a canoe and kayak available for guests to use as well as a few outdoor games. Indoors, there is a TV with a DVD player and a selection of movies as well as books, games, and puzzles. The cottage has a full lofted bedroom as well as a second bedroom on the first floor. Each bedroom has a full-size bed. There is also a twin-size trundle bed available. Though the cottage has no wifi, free and high-speed wifi is available just minutes away at the local libraries in Aberdeen, Ripley, and Maysville (KY). Free wifi is also available at the McDonald's in Ripley. Please note: Certain cell-phone providers have limited service as it's a rural area, but Verizon and AT&T both have at least 3G availability at the cabin.
Creekside Country Cottage is non-smoking. Guests have full access to the one-acre lot and the miles of scenic creek perfect for kayakers and canoeists. Lightly-traveled country lanes provide miles of hiking and biking opportunities. The local area has many National Historical Landmarks from the Civil-War era. You will also find award-winning wineries, antique shopping, many excellent restaurants, and four golf courses-- all within a 20 minute drive!
  • Property has a great location for rest and recreation, home is very clean and well appointed. We had a great time and hope to come back soon!

  • This cute cottage has won our hearts in so many ways with its lovely arrangement you find comfort and serenity in every little corner. The creek is mesmerizing and huge! We can't wait to come back in warmer weather and hit the water. The dock is lovely and serene with a chiminea and gorgeous views. You can see the water from the house and also the fire pit. Lisa really goes out of her way to make sure all the comforts of home are waiting for you. Simply lovely.

This private Adams County, Ohio, vacation cabin has everything you could want for a relaxing retreat, including beds for 9 on 3 levels, 2 sitting areas, a beautiful deck, a dining area, and a kitchen equipped to cook almost anything.
Your Home Away from Everything The cabin is built around a massive cedar tree found on the property. The tree stretches to the ridgepole, supporting the second floor loft and the handcrafted cedar stairs. Craftsmanship surrounds you, from the well-equipped custom kitchen to the tree-house bedroom. Whatever the season, you’ll enjoy the view from the deck: crisp winter deer tracks, cheerful spring wild flowers, lush deep green forests, or bright fall colors. On the trails or by the stream, you will enjoy “radio silence” where you can truly disconnect. Hopewell Croft has beds for nine. It is fully connected, with internet and satellite TV. Cell phone service within the cabin benefits from a signal booster. The cabin is smoke free. Cabin sleeps 8 adults. 3 bedrooms, two with queen size beds, one with three twin beds (includes “tree-house” bedroom, accessible by ladder, not suitable for young children) also, pullout sofa double-bed on main level. 2 full bathrooms. Central Air Conditioning/Gas Furnace. Equipped kitchen includes refrigerator with icemaker, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, waffle iron, electric mixer, pots & pans, cooking utensils. Dishes and tableware, linens, pillows, towels, paper goods. Wi-Fi, satellite TV, DVD Player, board games, puzzles, cards, books. Washer/Dryer. Gas grill. Crib and high chair available, Large electric roaster oven available. Well-behaved dogs OK for a small fee. Labyrinth on site. Steep drive may not be passable in snow or ice .
I know you'll love staying at the cabin, enjoying the peace and quiet. Maybe you'll find a book in our library, play one of our board games, or work on a puzzle. You may also spend some time in the woods, on the trail, listening to the birds and watching for wildlife. But if you're looking for something else, here are some things to do in the area. For fishing, the best bets are the Ohio River with put-ins at Manchester and Aberbeen. Adams Lake State Park is another option. You can also kayak and fish on Ohio Brush Creek. There is a put-in where the creek crosses 125. You would take out downstream at the Edge of Appalachia Portman Trailhead or even further downstream at Beasley Fork Bridge. You can also Kayak and fish on Eagle Creek, which is only 3.5 miles from the cabin. The Edge of Appalachia has several hiking trails. The best known is Buzzard's Roost. For history sites, visit Ripley to see the Rankin House and the John Parker House, both significant sites on the Underground Railroad. Old Washington, Kentucky, is on Route 62, on the ridge past Maysville. Harriet Beecher Stowe was inspired to write Uncle Tom's Cabin after her visit here. The prehistoric Great Serpent Mound is north about 45 minutes. Native Americans consider this to be a sacred site. Many people enjoy visiting the Amish and shopping at Millers Bakery and Furniture or the Keim Family Market. They are closed on Sundays. West Union has the quaint Olde Wayside Inn and a soda fountain, at Blakes on the square. Good restaurants are in Maysville, Kentucky. Pogue Distillery gives tours and tastings, by advance appointment, and also has a gift shop.
  • Rebecca’s place is so beautiful and clean. I am thinking to come back again.

  • Hopewell Croft is a wonderful getaway and chance to unplug from everyday life. We truly enjoyed our time here with our elementary age children. We did multiple hikes around the property each day and had fun fishing and playing in the creek that runs through the property. The cabin was very clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Our children loved sleeping in the treehouse loft. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and we enjoyed a campfire and stargazing in the evening. It was super helpful to have access to a washer and dryer with three kids along who like to get dirty. I cannot say enough good things about this trip. We would love to go back someday.

  • My father, brothers, daughter , nephew, and I booked this cabin as a weekend bonding experience with my father as his health is beginning to deteriorate and we wanted to make family memories for our kids with grandpa. We loved the setting and privacy of the cabin! We played cards, board games, grilled out and had 2 late nights with bourbon and laughter on the giant deck. The inside of the cabin had gorgeous craftsmanship and the treehouse bedroom was a highlight for the 9 & 11 year old kids. The home was very clean and well stocked. The host Rebecca was very accommodating and informative. We would book this cabin again!! The best part of this cabin is it’s seclusion and privacy.

    Michael2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca is by far the best AirBnB host I have ever encountered. the Hopewell Croft Cabin is such a perfect place for a nice, relaxing, and stress free getaway from the craziness of work and city living. The decor at the cabin is so personalized and adds a special touch to the AirBnB space. The feel of the cabin is very homey and cozy. I will definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay where they can enjoy the peacefulness of nature and reconnect with friends/family. I will definitely stay here again!

  • Very nice cabin, we recommend

    Eddie2018-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Hopewell Croft Cabin! When I had found this listing I couldn't believe how perfect it was for what we were looking for. The cabin was big enough for six people, very clean and stocked with everything we needed to cook throughout the weekend. Rebecca was very communicative when booking and beforehand. She was always available to answer any questions prior to our stay. There was never a question too inane for her to answer quickly and thoroughly. When they say out of the way they really mean it. Most of us weren't able to get a signal and that was fine with us. It was nice to just get away for a weekend and I wish it hadn't rained for a majority of the weekend (but that's obviously not the cabins fault). This was the perfect experience and I can't complement Rebecca enough for setting up such an affordable and cozy cabin.

    Christopher2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as described. We had a great family get away and went to Serpent Mound (about 45 minute drive) and hiked at the Edge of Appalachia preserve (about 20 minutes away). This was the cleanest Airbnb we have stayed at so far. Would highly recommend.

    Andrew2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca was very helpful and called before we arrived to see if all was set. The location was bucolic and as described in the listing. Everything was available to enjoy both indoor and outdoor environments.

  • We stayed at the Hickory Tree House. It was awesome! The place had everything we needed and more. It was so lovely to walk the trails and find surprises along the way. Shelly was a great host and easy to get ahold of. The kids did have some trouble because of the steep hill the treehouse is build on, but lucky there are plenty of trees to slow you down. We loved that the trails were marked so the kids could take charge and lead looking for the next spot! We will definitely be back!!

    Meg2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend in the treehouse. Even with the rain we were able to hike the trails and cook our dinner over the campfire.

  • We had a great time at the treehouse. Beautiful location for a nice camping style weekend. We hiked the trails and had a fire in the pit provided. It rained Saturday morning and I loved the noise on the roof. Nice weekend to connect with family.

  • A treehouse with air conditioning is as close to roughing it as I can get. We loved the treehouse! The beds were comfortable, the space was well thought out, and the location was wonderful. The kids didn’t even mind the compost toilet because they were so invested in playing outside.

  • It's a great place! Room is very cabin like and has a cosy feel. Baseboard heating isn't the greatest (that's just how all baseboard heating is normally) but the blankets provided were able to fix that. Location was secluded and with a great view of the river.

    Chris2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy’s place was just fantastic. While I stayed there for two days I regrettably did not get much time to explore the area. The view of the Ohio River is fantastic. Watching the river traffic is so fun. The space itself is very charming and unique. Lots of room for multiple people. I would definitely stay again.

  • I can't tell you all the wonderful things about our stay at the Ohio River House B&B. We relaxed in our full apartment with a totally equipped kitchen, bath, living room...what a joy. All we had to do was bring our clothes, food, and fishing poles. You can walk out your very own back door to a huge deck, and the river is right there! The town is quaint, quiet, and there is a lot of historical and fun places to check out, all within 5-10 miles. Cindy is a kind, intelligent, and fabulous host, and available anytime you need her. We hope to make this a yearly occasion from now on. Thank you for the great stay!

  • The cabin was so cute! Situated right on the main strip of Augusta- easily walkable to everything. Elizabeth was kind and responsive with all my questions. The cabin interior was quaint and perfectly decorated. My only complaint is it was a little chilly downstairs but there were lots of blankets to cuddle up under. Upstairs where the bedrooms are stayed nice and toasty. We will definitely be back! :)

  • Bertha's cabin is the perfect place to stay while exploring Augusta, KY. The town is the cutest little river town. To fully maximize your experience, I would recommend staying on the weekends. Several of the shops had seasonal hours, but we enjoyed eating at The General Store, Carolta's Pizza, and The Augusta Pub. Jenny Ann's ferry ride was a highlight of the trip. We did sample the local wine buy purchasing it at the local store. It was wonderful. Bertha's Cabin and Augusta, KY was a great family adventure.

  • Elizabeth was good to work with

    Gragory2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I just wanted a quiet place to get away for the weekend, and Elizabeth’s place turned out to be just that! From the reservation process to check in, Elizabeth was there to answer all my questions, within the hour. The location is right in the heart of all the action. Next to the Bee Hive Restaurant for lunch, dinner and drinks. Across the street from the General Store, a must for breakfast. We would definitely recommend Elizabeth’s place to others and look forward to our next trip to Augusta!

As in: a more-than-100-year-old, two foot wide trunk right there in the middle, lichen and all, reaching straight through the roof, one of two red oaks that support the tree house. Neighboring limbs hold a second tree-house bedroom accessible by a suspended rope-and-plank bridge to a deck. It’s an excellent place to sleep, without light or sounds, except for the nighttime woods. It’s trees as far as the eyes can see. The woods hold different marvels all times of year, so there is no off-season. You have a easy to start generator that will power the AC unit if needed. Everything else is ran off propane or battery. You have a Makita operated fan, two Makita operated lights and head lamps. To charge phones use large battery. For generator Directions are right on the unit and video if needed. Generator is only for air. Guests also relax with a tree pod below, a hammock village, a outdoor patio set, a stacked-stone fire-pit, cafe seating outside the main tree house on the deck, and shaded hiking paths (including the popular 3.3 mile Heart Trail) that wind through the 200-acre private property, each bend bringing old growth forests full of white and red oaks, hickories, blackberry patch for you to pick your own, ponds, and creeks. There is a propane-powered heater. You will have a three gallon jug of water in the kitchenette and an adjacent compost toilet. You have your own bath house marked Aliyah bath house up the road. The tree house is wholly, cozy and austere. A giant L-shaped couch wraps that red oak. Imagine your day to start with breakfast or a cup of creamy coffee -made from the French coffee press- out the back door on beautiful turquoise patio furniture. The five tree grove is available to you to book a guided tree climb. Here, our professional facilitator will take you to the top for the best views! This TreeHouse is recommended lovers Nature lovers, people who seek time away from technology. Because it is truly a off the grid experience we want to alert you to a few things you may have to navigate during your stay. This tree house is ran by battery or propane and does not have electricity however, we now have a battery located by red couch that will charge up your cell phones, and turn on the mini lights in the treehouse or use for CPAP machine. We have plenty of lighting for you by battery operated lanterns, head lamps and makita light. If hot.. In the summer you can turn on air via a generator. We have fans to keep you cool too. We cannot predict the weather. When it is sunny and warm things can be peachy. The tree house can also be fun when it rains just prepare ahead of time. We will send out a welcome letter once you book with detailed info for a rainy day and other important things to note. In cold weather the Aliyah is heated by propane and you may need to exchange out the tank during your stay. It is quite like the one you would change on a outdoor propane grill. In good dry weather you will have much easier time to navigate right up to the tree house! However, in snow, or mud we recommend four wheel drive or front wheel drive with good tires. If you are afraid you will get stuck during your stay we ask you do not pull down further than the green farm house at entry of property. From there you can use a wagon next to farmhouse to take your things down or pre-arrange someone to assist you. Bathrooms: There is a full bath house with a shower, toilet and sink as you come into the property marked BATHHOUSE. It is located up the hill by the farm house, about a football field away from the tree house. For quick trips to the bathroom, the outhouse is 30 feet outside of the tree house. They are clean, organized and efficient! We have a detailed manual inside the tree house for more details about everything in the tree house. Please take note*** This adventure includes Wildlife. The tree house is in the middle of the woods you may encounter mice, wasp, bees, ticks, deer, turkey, flies, ants, water bugs, hear coyotes, and owls especially out on the trails. THIS IS THEIR HOME! We ask that you be a person that loves and respects wildlife. If interaction with bugs, insects, animals and nature is disheartening to you we do not recommend this tree house experience for you. The Tree houses are our dream come true. We both wanted treehouses at a young age. For me being in nature brings me peace. When I was 9 I would play in the woods with my siblings and build my tree house with small branches, using rocks as our furniture and moss as our carpet. I never let go of having this space and thought about it often. When Bill and I started our dream company EarthJOY Tree adventures in 2007. Whereas we take clients to the top of trees on ropes. As part of this venture we wanted to give them another experience. Why not be able to stay in a treehouse too?? We set off to take Pete Nelsons LEARN HOW TO BUILD A TREEHOUSE in 2009 workshop. After the workshop we looked high and low for the perfect property to have this dream come true. We ran into many obstacles one being not able to afford it or not the right trees. When we saw Pete on Animal planet I thought I would just apply for the fun of it. We didn't even have a place. When they called and accepted our application I called Dad. I asked him if we could build a treehouse on his 200 acre farm. He laughed and then said YES! He said he was tired of running two farms and would now change gears to have a few tree houses. In 2017 we built our second tree house. This one you are reading about! IN 2019 we finished our third tree house built by Bill ~ co-owner and my husband. He put love into every single nail and board. It is unique in that it has play elements like a slide, 2 swings and double loft. He made 50% of the tree house from the land itself using cedars and re-purposed wood and roof from one of the old farmhouses . We love every single guest and amazed at how uniquely every one comes to find us and themselves here at EarthJOY Village. We look forward to meeting you. If you have any questions before you book don't hesitate to reach out. *** Important *** No RESCHEDULES or CANCELLATIONS within 30 days of your stay! This is a strict policy! • The best elevated camping experience one could ask for! The treehouse has so many unique touches from the hammocks already set up for guests to use, to the illustrated property maps, the swinging bridge, and more! Sleeping under the stars and waking up with the sun, thanks to the many windows in the "snuggle palace" was absolutely magical. I can't wait to visit again in the future.

  • The Aliyah treehouse was charming and made for a wonderful and cleansing getaway experience!

    Nathaniel2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beds and pillows are very comfortable! Location was gorgeous and Shelly provides us with a scavenger hunt (which the four kids loved) and accurate directions about checking in and out. The bathhouse - while a walk away from the treehouse - was very clean. It had hot water and a clean and private area with toilet. The treehouse also has an outhouse within a few steps of where you sleep, so that was nice. Heaters were easy to use and the treehouse was very comfortable. We brought our dog. St first he was a little hesitant to cross the bridge but once he did one time, he was fine. Aside from boiling water and brats, we did all of our cooking outside to make for easy clean up. I would recommend this experience and we are looking forward to going back!

  • Shelly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and the space was magical!

  • Our stay at Marla & Mike’s loft far exceeded our expectations. It was my husband and I’s first experience of KY and staying at Marla’s place made the trip a warm and special one. We Airbnb often all over the world – And Marla’s place truly hits 5/5 stars all across the board. We have zero complaints. Highly, highly recommend.

I could not have asked for a better location, host, or stay! I eagerly await my return to Maysville and greater Mason County and another stay at Marla's place.

  • I stayed at Cindy's place for a travel nurse assignment. Its an adorable studio apartment with the Ohio river right outside your window. It is peaceful and filled with natural beauty. I love my time spent there. Cindy is a awesome host ready to help you with anything you need. I would recommend anyone to stay at her place.

    Dancie2019-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy was warm and welcoming, making herself available to meet us to show us around after our delayed flight. The location is right on the river and has beautiful views of the riverside area. The apartment was clean and cozy with everything that we needed, including wifi. There aren't any food choices in this small town, but Cindy gave us a great recommendation down the road for us to go have dinner. Bring some breakfast foods with you as there isn't anywhere to grab food in the morning. We throughly enjoyed our stay and if we are ever in the area again we will gladly stay in this or any of Cindy's apartments again.

  • I had a great stay at Cindy’s place. She went out of her way to make me feel at home. The location is great, a quiet peaceful community next to the Ohio river. I really enjoyed the apartment. Having my own place with privacy was great. If I am in the area again I will definitely check to see if Cindy has space available.

  • Cindy is very sweet and flexible. He allowed my guest to check in earlier than the usual check in. The scene is breath-taking, and the building has a neat history. Thank you for your welcoming nature.

    Afua2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy's place worked out very well for my wife and I. It was close to relatives we were visiting in the area (20 minutes to Bethel) and was located right on the Ohio River, so a very quiet, pleasant atmosphere when we were there. The building is a rustic old building that has some interesting history. In the evening, we turned off the A/C unit and opened up a back door and front window, had both ceiling fans going, and got a great cool cross breeze which made for nice sleeping. We went over to Augusta, Kentucky on Saturday, by Ferry, which is located about a mile down the road - I hadn't been on a Ferry for years, fun experience; and it was a free ride if you didn't take your car. $5 to take your car over. There was an Art Festival there that takes place every year on the first Saturday of June. The area on the Ohio side of the river near Cindy's place does not have much going on, not the shops and restaurants that they had on the Kentucky side. But the drive along the river is peaceful. All in all, Cindy's place was just what we needed for our visit. I will check to see if her place is available, if/when we travel back to the area. Mike

    Mike2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy, her place and the location were all fantastic. The views of the river are amazing, and you are also just a short drive from Ripley and the Augusta ferry. The studio we rented was bigger than expected and a great value. Cindy is a lovely host and we enjoyed closing out the evenings around the bonfire chatting with Cindy and Jason. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday weekend.

    Mollie2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy is great we arrived late, code to midnight and she was there to great us. This is a cozy room with everything you need including a full kitchen. The view of the River is great here. The room accessible deck wraps around to a larger deck to enjoy the sunrise and morning coffee. Every thing was clean and fresh. I recommend staying if in the area. Its a great value. 😊

    Ashley2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy was very prompt in responding to our messages, and was able to accommodate changes to a pet friendly space. The power went out due to severe weather about an hour after we arrived, and Cindy was quick to bring us some flashlights. Luckily, the power company had it back on later that evening. The space has lovely views of the river.

Large, furnished one bedroom, one bathroom apartment in historic building. Beautiful, quiet riverfront setting, close to Georgetown OH, Aberdeen OH, Ripley OH, Felicity OH, Moscow OH and Chilo OH, Maysville KY and Augusta KY. Walk out to a large wooden deck overlooking the Ohio River. Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway from the stress of the city, just 1 hr. drive from downtown Cincinnati on a scenic two lane highway (no traffic jams).
This apartment is in a renovated warehouse circa 1835. At one time it was used to build the riverboats (paddle wheel boats). It has a large deck that overlooks the Ohio River.
The area is rich with history from pioneering to the underground railroad to presidential homes.
  • The listing accurately described the property. The space was roomy and clean. Definitely an old fashioned look and feel. Definitely a quiet out of the way location. Was within driving distance to Georgetown, Augusta, Maysville. We even visited the oldest Winery in the United States (which was a nice historic daytrip). Beds were comfortable (but would not recommend using the daybed couch as a bed). Jason was on site to answer questions, provide recommendations, and assist with any needs. Would recommend if visiting the area or needing a quiet getaway.

  • Cindy is a wonderful host with very nice place to stay. The apartment was very roomy and had everything we needed for 4 people to stay comfortably. It's a bit of a drive to get to amenities but if you're aware of that going in it's not an issue. You're rewarded with a great view out onto the Ohio River and a overall relaxing experience. If you have time for a little adventure plan to catch the fairy over to Augusta, KY. Overall 10/10 would stay again.

There are plenty of adorable historical towns around too. So the stay can be as laid back or as busy as you make it!

  • The view was amazing. The place was plenty big, everything we needed. Right on the river. Cindy, and her son Jason were perfect host. The Saturday night fire was great, with lots of good conversation. A wonderful end to a long day spent at Augusta's Civil War Day. Thanks Sarah and Jim

  • The stairs going up to the house were a challenge for us 70-somethings but the river view from the porch, the beauty of the house and the amenities made it worth the climb! Loved it!

  • A very comfortable and nicely remodeled home on the river. The bathroom was incredible and the view of the river was amazing. The steps to get in and out of the house definitely gave us a work out, but the location so close to downtown Maysville was great and walkable.

  • This place is stylish and fun! We stayed here for a wedding and it was close to the town where most of the festivities occurred. Only downside is there is only one bathroom, however it is very spacious, bright, and clean. John responded quickly to all of our questions, and he even took the time and effort to mail us a special piece of jewelry that we had accidentally left behind. The house had coffee for us in the morning and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better house, host, or location. Thank you John!

    Kathryn2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This home is absolutely beautiful. It is well maintained, and it is a wonderful alternative to the few hotels in the area. There are a lot of steps so if you have any issues with this be aware. Also, the home does not have central air. However, they have air conditioners strategically placed to cool the home. The bedroom downstairs does get a bit warm. Overall, a wonderful, wonderful experience!

    Carrie2019-06-25T00:00:00Z

Our place is close to the Ohio River, local restaurants and dining, great views, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love our place because of the people, the ambiance, the and the outdoors space. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
The property is made up of a main cabin and two apartments. The buildings sit on approx 25 acres along the Ohio River with peaceful, quiet views. There is also a very large garage and huge barn. There is river access for fishing. The whole place is yours when you rent it! There is plenty of common space for gatherings and hanging out. The kitchen is fully furnished to accommodate large groups. There are 3 washers and dryers.
The area is very private but only minutes away from town.
  • This place is exactly as it appears in the pictures- awesome! It's super easy to find, very comfortable, and super close to Maysville, KY for needed items. Awesome for our large group!

  • A great location for our family reunion. The host was able to accommodate a few special requests and was responsive to messages. The WiFi was spotty, but we were actually okay with that because it kept the young family members off their phones and actually talking with family. The home is exactly was we expected and was able to accommodate our family of 23 with room to spare.

  • Cindy’s place is a great Weekend/vacation get away. The back yard had a amazing view of the river and beautiful deck. We spent our afternoon in the backyard. I was meeting my friends after 2 years and this place was a gem to spend quality time and relax making it very memorable. There were also utensils provided to cook. The house was sparkling clean and the bathrooms were neat. The whole house has wallpaper which gave an antique look. Communication was great about the location and what to expect from the home. We stayed for 2 nights we were welcomed by Cindy personally. Overall I recommend Cindy’s place For a get together.

There was a Deck that was located right outside my Door that overlooked the River and Every night I would sit outside and watch the Sunset make the water look like glitter. Cindy had a picnic Table on the deck to host outdoor meals and a Metal Lounge Bounce chair that made you feel Like You were truly a Rich Man. The Rooms had High Ceilings and Wood Floors and were put together Beautifully. It felt Historic, Comfortable, and warm. It was hard to leave. Cindy is the kind of Host you want to sit around and talk to she is super sweet and makes this place 5 stars or the maximum amount of stars you can give a place. (Examples: When I couldn't find a can opener she told me not to worry and brought one right over with a smile, she also received boxes for me without hesitation)This Estate is a Gem with a private drive and is quiet enough to think and yet still has Wifi so you can post those My Life vs Your Vacation Pictures. She has Plenty of Room too, If I could pick anywhere to have a family Reunion or BBQ it would definitely be here, and I would invite Cindy too because she is so easy to get along with. I cannot say enough about this place you just gotta come see it and experience it for yourself. I work on the road and I stay at Air BnB's a lot, this one was truly my Favorite So Far :) Thanks Again Cindy for your Hospitality and Making me Feel so Welcomed :)

Augusta is an adorable River Town, rich in History & a bit lost in time. It is a modern day Mayberry of sorts with quite the eclectic mix of artistic residents and visitors from all over the country. The quaint little shops and dining on Main Street give for great opportunities to meet locals. Riverside Drive is a beautiful walk to see Historic Homes, stretch your legs & take amazing pictures. The Ferry will take you to Ohio if you wish to explore Underground Rail Road sites or desire a drink on the water at one of their River Front or floating restaurants. The park at the end of town allows easy access to take your Boat on the river for a fun afternoon! https://www.augustaky.com/history-of-augusta
  • Place is as advertised! Clean, spacious, fun! Hot tub was great. Host was extremely responsive and great. Only thing that surprised us was the interesting layout upstairs. All of the bedrooms are connected with no hallway so you end up having to walk through others rooms to get to the bathrooms. It worked for our group but I can see some group dynamics not working out quite as well with that!

  • I got spend the weekend at Liz’s cabin with 6 other ladies😆🤗. The whole cabin was comfy and it was roomy enough for us all. In the kitchen, we pulled the bench up to the table and had plenty of seating room. There were also many unexpected amenities, which was a pleasant surprise😁. The hot tub and patio were great. Also, the cabin is just a skip from the river so we enjoyed walking walking along looking at the barges and beautiful old houses. We took a trip to the Baker Bird winery. It is a beautiful place with friendly staff. The tour was so-so, but I will visit again to drink wine, hang out and listen to music. Liz was a super host. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Our girls’ weekend was a grand success. My friends and I look forward to coming again and I am going to bring my husband sometime♥️.

  • I don’t think you could find a better location! Comfortably fit 7 women for a girls’ weekend. The hot tub and patio space were awesome. Cabin was very cute and clean!

  • We had a group of 8 girls and Elizabeth was so accommodating and helpful. She was quick to respond and shared some of the amazing things we could do in Augusta. Her place was clean and in the perfect location. Augusta is beautiful and everyone in town was so friendly. I would highly suggest staying here. You will have a wonderful time.

This charming cabin is close to family-friendly activities, local historical sites, and antique shopping. It is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Constructed by the Amish, this 36-foot-long log-style cabin is ready for occupancy. Among the many amenities are a private dock, one-acre yard, stone fire pit, deck and dining hut w/propane grill, full-length covered porch, two kayaks, fishing boat, and two picnic tables.
The cabin is one of the few rental cabins in southwestern Ohio along a deepwater creek where you can ride your kayak, canoe, or pontoon boat right to a dock and have a short walk to your cabin. The cabin is one mile upstream from what many say is the deepest, cleanest, and most scenic stretch of the Ohio River. The water depth just off the cabin's private dock is around 19 feet, and huge catfish and many bass and crappie inhabit the water's depths. The rate is a flat rate with no additional taxes or fees. A one-night rate (Sun - Th) is $120. The weekend requires a two night stay and is $270 (Friday through Sunday). There is an additional charge of $15 per night per guest over 2 guests with a maximum number of guests at 4. Children under 5 stay free. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. For earlier check-in call ahead for availability. A one week stay is the longest rental available.
  • This charming cabin is a true gift to Brown County, Ripley, Maysville and Georgetown. It is a great vacation spot to truly get away from it all. It also is a great location for visiting family and friends nearby. The space is tucked away in the hills near Eagle Creek and proved to be a great Air B &B discovery! I plan to return in the future.

  • We wanted a short getaway where we could enjoy some peace, quiet, and some outdoor activity. Darci's cabin was well equipped and she is a terrific host. We enjoyed paddling the creek on the kayaks provided, reading out on the terrific porch facing the creek, and cooking hotdogs and s'mores over a roaring fire in the fire pit behind the cabin. Ripley and Maysville are minutes away and provided restaurants when we wanted to eat out. It was a nice stay.

  • The cabin was spacious and clean. Everything was very well organised. The outside area was also well kept. There's a boat, a paddle boat and kayaks. And when you're worn out, there is a well placed hammock for a quick nap. Loved the place. Will visit again.

  • Beautiful, stylishly updated house in the sweet little town of Augusta. A half block walk to town and the river. Very serene and relaxing place to visit. Robert is an excellent host, and the check-in process was very easy. We would rent again, and also want to try his other property in Xenia, Ohio.

  • This is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Augusta. We brought our boat and used the boat ramp that is right down the street. In the evening we walked to the Augusta Irish Pub to eat. Everything was very convenient.

You’ll love my place because of the views and the quiet. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway from the stress of the city, just 1 hr. drive from downtown Cincinnati on a scenic two lane highway (no traffic jams).
  • This was our second time staying at Cindy‘s. You just can’t beat the hospitality, location and proximity to Ripley and Augusta! We’ll be back!

  • This place was a special find! Higginsport offered an incredibly beautiful location on the banks of the Ohio River with barges gently passing by. Cindy was a warm and welcoming host and we immediately felt at home in the relaxing accommodations. The historic qualities of the property and the location were an added benefit. I am so glad we decided to stay here. We will definitely return when we are in the area again!
