Omegia was very responsive to my reservation needs. Her and Jeff welcomed us when we arrived. They walked us through the house and were very friendly. They even stocked the fridge for us. They are very accommodating and provide many brochures for activities in the area!

Jeff and Omegia are great hosts. They greeted us on arrival and checked in on us several times during our stay. The house is cozy and in a great wooded area. The fridge was stocked and fresh flowers were in almost every room. Several wineries are just a few minutes away. Highly recommended!

Omegia and Jeff were so friendly and helpful the entire time we were there. We used their house as a space to get ready for my wedding, -'d my husband and I stayed there afterwards. They left wine, bagels, and scones for us girls to eat, and when my husband and I returned from the wedding, there were finger sandwiches and champagne on ice! The house itself is adorable and way larger than I imagined; we had six girls spend the night, and 10 getting ready the next day with no issue and plenty of space. I would recommend their house to anyone staying in the Elkin area or visiting wine country!

Our stay with Omegia and Jeff was exceptional. The cottage has two spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Both sitting areas are very comfortable. There is also a washer and dryer which was very convenient to have. When we arrived, they both met us and walked us through the house. Omegia had even put some yummy fruit and cheese snacks in the refrigerator. The house is very comfortable, pretty, and convenient. A lovely park with walking trails is just a couple minutes away along with several restaurants and stores. Elkin is a lovely, friendly town and Jeff and Omegia are prime examples of the lovely people who live there.

Omegia and Jeff were gracious hosts in this charming North Carolina town. The home was well stocked with everything we needed to make our stay feel like home. They greeted us personally and made us feel so welcome. They even left us welcome treats which were such a pleasant surprise and a nice touch. We will definitely stay there again when our travels bring us back to Elkin.

We visited Elkin with our 3-year old and 6-month old. The Doll House was perfect for our stay! Two spacious bedrooms, two living areas, and two bathrooms. Plenty of space for a family of four. Omegia, our host, knew I was traveling with kids and asked me ahead of time what bed arrangements would work best. She added an air mattress to one of the bedrooms to accommodate our son. She also stocked the fridge for us which was a lifesaver when we arrived at 8 pm. She also tipped me off to the local food delivery service, another lifesaver when traveling with kids!

Jeff and Omegia were helpful and generous hosts and the house was perfect for what we needed! Very close to downtown Elkin and has plenty of space. Highly recommended!

It was a great experience living at this wonderful big house. Elkin is a great small town and has a lot to offer. The host was really nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Too many things to list! The property is gorgeous. The kids played outside the entire time. THEY made the rule that they would use no devices this weekend!! They gathered fresh eggs, met horses, ponies, a goat, sheep, swam in the pond and roamed free. We sat on the porch, drank wine and watched it all. Barbara and her family are incredible hosts!

What a wonderful gem. The cabin was perfect for our girls trip (5). A little hard with one bathroom, but we made it work. Cooking was a breeze, everything we needed was there. Beds and linens were perfect, and furniture was comfortable. It was very clean too. Many places to sit outside and enjoy outside, just a gorgeous property, we really loved the animals and the barn too just added to everything. Could not have been more perfect! Fantastic hosts!

Barbara's place is rustic, beautiful and comfortable! We really enjoyed the peaceful time in the cabin while visiting the Yadkin Valley wine region. Barbara made everything easy for us to enjoy her very charming farm!

This is an incredible space - inside and out. The porch overlooking the pond was especially wonderful - I had a hard time making myself go inside! If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable space with beautiful views and a gracious, welcoming hostess this is for you! I also appreciated the fresh eggs and the delicious wild blackberry jam :)

We had the best time at the cabin, our family(mom,dad,7yr. old and 4yr. old twins) really enjoyed all of the antique touches, without feeling like we missed any of the conveniences of home. The hospitality was wonderful, full of southern charm and warmth. The porch offers a beautiful sunrise to enjoy your morning coffee as well as a gorgeous view overlooking the pond. The place is beautiful. We were not able to spend as much time as I would have liked there because we were there for a wedding but other than the shower being pretty small everything was great.

It was quite apparent that Thier newest cabin has excellent insulation and the fireplace is glorious and cozy. I could tell that the hot tub was not treated with normal chemicals from the calm and relaxing fragrances undulating forth. There is a private beach on the river. Wonderful

This cabin is a gem. We arrived to a lit fireplace and everything needed for a quiet getaway weekend. Teresa provided us all the information for our stay before arrival. The place is beautiful, cozy, and private. We loved the comfortable bed and the hot tub on the deck with an amazing view. Hope to stay again!

Papa John's cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway! It was so cozy- the perfect size for the two of us. I appreciated that it is far enough out to give you privacy and a feeling of seclusion, but only about a 10 minute drive from town. The cabin was very well stocked with everything you might need, even measuring cups in the kitchen and ice in the freezer! I loved all the special touches- you get the feeling that a lot of thought and effort was put into the look and feel of the cabin, which was my favorite thing about it. Also, the bed was heavenly- so comfy with high quality bedding! Teresa was great about responding to questions very quickly and everything was just as she said it would be. It was truly wonderful!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Papa John's, the newest cabin at Frog Holler. The cabin was well furnished and clean. It overlooks a lovely little creek. Our hosts were accessible if we wanted but offered us plenty of privacy. The cabin feels private and secluded as well! The area is nice. I'd recommend checking out Stone Mountain State Park. There's some nice hikes there with some very unique views. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Frog Holler to friends and family!

Not a single negative thing can be said about our stay! It was the perfect vacation for my husband and I prior to the start of a hectic holiday season. The cabin was perfect - nothing more than we needed, and exactly what we were looking for: peace and quiet, a relaxing hot tub, and the setting could not have been anymore peaceful. It was completely private, despite being so close to town, and very convenient to a number of day trips (Mt. Airy, vineyards, etc). We will certainly be returning!

This farmhouse is just perfect! It's very clean and very quiet and relaxing. Our 2 year old even loved it and was kept busy just exploring around the house and outside:) Michelle is an awesome host and goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and then some. When we arrived, we had fresh bakery items from a local bakery waiting for us with a sweet note from Michelle. I highly recommend this house if you are looking to get away and relax and spend quality time with your family.

We had such a wonderful time at the farm house. The bedrooms were each uniquely styled with comfort in mind. We loved our stay and can't wait to go back. If you need a quick getaway in the foothills, this place is it. We loved having coffee each morning watching the fog rise over the Blueridge in the distance. And Michelle was great to work with - fresh cut flowers and a jar cake when we arrived!

We absolutely loved our stay at the farmhouse and talking with Michelle was like talking to an old friend. We visited the farmhouse to get away from the hustle and bustle of our every day lives and we accomplished our goal. It was quiet and so peaceful. We spent our evenings rocking on the porch which lead to great sleep. You won't make a mistake by staying here!!

What a great place! The whole trip- we loved the secluded quiet location and the beautiful scenic countryside you get every time you walk outside the house. Such a cute and quaintly decorated little home- it felt warm and inviting and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! The walks down the gravel road and visits from the neighborhood dogs were just an added bonus- we absolutely loved our time here. Communication from host was prompt and straightforward, there was even a well thought out binder of all the local attractions and eateries that was very helpful. Thank you for hosting us Michelle! Place was clean and big. A bit out-dated, but that's what we expect from a house over 100 years old. We didn't appreciate paying a cleaning fee and then finding a list of things required from us to check-out. In my opinion, if you are going to charge us to clean, you should be the one cleaning the dishes and taking out the trash, not us. Overall not a terrible experience, but I doubt we'll be back.

A lovely and comfortable home. Dan was easy to contact and gave us a tour and history of the home. Great porch for sitting. Downtown, shops and local restaurants were close and walkable. Dan was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, Brewpubs and wineries. Highly recommend Slightly Askew Winery for the most fun.

Great cabin for a weekend away to unplug and enjoy the company around you. The cabin was exactly as pictured. There is a tv with a wide variety of DVDs and a fireplace we enjoyed on a rainy day. There were two neighbor dogs that spent the majority of the weekend on the porch. We had both AT&T and Verizon and did not get any cell phone service just FYI. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend away.

Amazing secluded cabin! The location is beautiful and the cabin has all the necessities for a weekend away. The cabin itself if homey and very clean, and the porch is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Mike and Sherrie were incredible hosts, and Sherrie was so kind in helping us find places to swim and hike in the area. Thank you Mike and Sherrie!

Me, my girlfriend, and the dog greatly enjoyed our stay. We thought we were renting a place that was too big from the looks of the listing, but it turned out to be perfect for us, and we are planning on coming back perhaps with another couple, as there is enough room to comfortably fit four or maybe more if willing to squeeze a little. The hosts were great about explaining everything and checking in with us during our stay. They made us feel at home and were available for questions and easy to contact even though we didn't need to - everything was ready and easy to use. The cabin was great- had everything we needed and everything was in good condition. Perfect for our relaxing weekend away from work and the city. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet weekend getaway but doesn't want to rough it in the woods without electricity, amenities, etc. We went to Stone Mountain park and could have spent days and days there among the many trails and various activities. We could have just as well spent days and days exploring Kelley Acres, where there is a pond nearby, a good bit of land to walk through, and a fire area with plenty of wood easily attainable. All in all, we are glad to have found a great place to stay to enjoy nature when we feel like taking a quiet trip away from the city and plan on coming back soon.

This cabin provided the perfect cabin feel with the decorations, memorabilia, and classic wood paneling. The main cabin really utilized the space well and gave off a really "homey" experience. The outdoor speakers were perfect when grilling or making a fire. Mike had great flexibility with checking in as my friends and I were not able to arrive until late. He made himself available throughout the whole trip if we had any questions or problems. The beds were well made and monogrammed towels were provided for us. This cabin was perfect for a few college students who needed to get away and relax.

We had and enjoyable relaxing stay . Holly was an exceptional host thru out stay. Wine and cheese before exploring Stone Mt, then a quite evening exploring her historic home . The following morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Holly.

We really enjoyed our visit to Holbrook House in Traphill, NC this past weekend. Holly is a great and hospitable host who made our stay comfortable, relaxing, and very enjoyable. The historic home is a cute and quaint Bed and Breakfast with all the amenities…and a fantastic morning breakfast! There are several local wineries in the area and Holly can provide great recommendations on which vineyards to visit as well as local restaurants. We will definitely stay here again and encourage anyone visiting the area to book a visit to Holbrook House!

Best experience ever! We planned our stay around hiking Stone Mountain and this home is within a half mile of the entrance! Even better, Holly was a phenomenal host making us feel welcome in her beautifully renovated and authentic historic home. Holly's great personality and helpful advice allowed us to experience a worry free weekend surrounded by lovely people, food and accommodations. We will certainly be back!

I don't want to ruin any surprises, but let's just say she makes all the extra effort and puts in all the little touches to make your stay perfect. She gives great recommendations for food and sightseeing, and she is always extremely available via text and email. She has created a beautiful space here near Stone Mountain. Her home is a treasure and it was a great pleasure to share it with her. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very tastefully appointed, with nice furniture and utilities. If you are any where near this area, it would be a huge mistake not to spend an evening or two with Holly. Delicious breakfast as well!

Southern Charm at it's Best! I just had the pleasure of five nights at The Holbrook House, and it was a fabulous experience, on multiple levels. Holly, the host, is as welcoming, warm and engaging as anyone you can imagine - chats with her on the porch were a real delight. She is a great ambassador for North Carolina! The House itself is a historic showplace - Holly has done a fantastic job of restoring a lovely old family home, full of character and yes, more charm (and now with all the modern conveniences)! The setting is also so peaceful and bucolic - nestled in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mtns, and vibrant during my stay with the colors of spring and the songs of birds. I was lucky to be able just to spend some blissful hours relaxing in a rocking chair on the front porch, enjoying those sights and lovely sounds. This is a wonderful quiet retreat that will lift your heart and bring joy to your soul!

Staying at The Cottage was everything my girlfriend and I hoped it would be. We checked in very late but didn't have any issues finding the cabin with Teresa's directions. When we texted her at almost 11 PM she responded immediately. When we arrived, we found thorough documentation on the cabin and amenities: air conditioning, the hot tub, TV, Wi-Fi, etc, as well as a very helpful list of local restaurants. The cabin was immaculate and charming and had everything you could need: toiletries and paper products, a full set of dishes, cooking utensils, and so on. I highly recommend The Cottage to anyone traveling to the Elkin area. My girlfriend and I didn't know anything about Elkin or North Carolina in general, but we ended up having a great time exploring the area around the cabin and Winston Salem, just under an hour away.

The Cottage was adorable. Beautifully lit path down to the front porch, very clean, decently outfitted kitchen (half-sized oven though so don't expect a full-size). The hot tub is well taken care of and the porch is a wonderful place to have coffee in the morning and relax in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the landlady was very thoughtful and brought us extra towels when she saw we had added a person to our party (we were still under the occupancy limit). Nice little breweries and wineries close by if you want to go out but not far. Also very close to hiking at Stone Mountain.

We loved our stay! Even though it's a small cabin, we had four adults and were very comfortable. We loved being right on the water, and walked down to the creek with camp chairs and had a lovely time. The hot tub and back porch are nice touches, too. Really love stay-- we will be back next time we're in the area.

We had a wonderful 2 nights' stay. The cottage was charming with its balcony built on wooden stilts, almost like a tree house. We enjoyed sitting at the balcony overlooking the woods and had such an amazing and relaxing time just soaking in the hot-tub. The cottage was very well maintained with clean, fresh smelling towels/linens and a very comfortable king-size bed. Theresa, a very cheerful and friendly lady, responded immediately to fix our leaking air conditioner. If you love nature, this is definitely the place to stay !

We had a great time - loved the privacy and ease of check in. Teresa had emailed us everything we needed to know ahead of time and had her check-in procedure all set up for us when we arrived. We actually didn't even interact with the hosts until we were leaving, but that was fine for us. We felt like they provided an easy way to contact them if we had needed to, but otherwise left us to our privacy. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Frog Holler for a quiet, private getaway.

We had a great time at Frog Holler. The cabin was clean, and the view was beautiful of the river. We loved everything about it!

Three friends and I stayed at Deer Run this past weekend for a girls weekend and had a great time! The cabin was a bit small, but I think it was the perfect size for the four of us. The place was very clean and well maintained. Our favorite part was the hot tub! It was very much needed to battle the chilly November weather. The cabin is located in a great area with a scenic view of the creek. The cabin is close to several wineries and not a far drive from "downtown" Elkin. We all agreed it was an enjoyable and relaxing weekend and we would love to come back. Thanks for being such wonderful hosts!

Our rental of the Deer Run cabin was smooth and easy. Everything was perfect when we arrived and we enjoyed the remote feel of the place while having easy access to local towns.

A beautiful cabin beautifully placed next to a beautiful creek. Probably the cleanest and best smelling of any place we've stayed in 36 years.

It was wonderful when Teresa came down to the cabin when we had a question about the hot tub. That was most reassuring. She was cheerful and helpful. The cabin felt spacious even though it has a relatively small square footage. Hearing the flowing water from the deck was wonderful.

The Deer Run cabin was just lovely! We both agreed it was the perfect amount of space and had that pang of sorrow on the morning of out departure that left is contemplating just staying for good! The kitchen had everything we needed, and the hot tub was always warm. It's situation just above a creek, which made for a lovely soundtrack when we spent time on the back porch. This place is a hit!
