The peppercorn cottage is the perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends or family. The pictures definitely do it justice, but it's difficult to get the wonderful homey feeling until you're actually there. The cottage has all the amenities you may need (no microwave) in case you want to just stock up on groceries and hunker down. Both beds are tempur-pedic and super comfortable. But if you like darkness in the morning, definitely bring an eye mask. If you don't want to be directly in town, the cottage is perfectly located 10-15 minutes from anything and everything you may need! And Brieane and Scott were great hosts that answered all questions clearly and promptly. My friends and I are already planning our summer trip to Hudson!

We loved our stay at Brieane's home! The space is much larger than the pictures show! With a car it was close to everything the Hudson area has to offer. The space was clean and comfortable. One thing to note is that it is close to a road. That didn't bother us as we are used to noise, but it's something I would want to know. We loved our stay here with the chic and modern gold and black design. We would definitely come back!

Super cute place! About 10 minutes from downtown Hudson. We loved the very cozy couch and fireplace. It was a fabulous place for a getaway weekend to relax, meditate and recharge. We brought food to make for the weekend. There isn’t a microwave which was fine for us but something to note. The place is close to other homes and you can hear cars going by regularly but nothing super noisy. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The cottage was stylish and comfortable. Hudson offered great shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed ourselves!

Cozy with a great view

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend. The cabin was well equipped with basic necessities and firewood. We stayed warm and cozy with the wood burning stove inside, enjoyed lots of bonfires and the beautiful views and stars. It was an incredible and relaxing experience.

This was such a unique experience. I spent a of couple days at the cabin. Cut wood and newspaper were left for making fires. There was more than enough equipment there to be self sufficient. Also a 15 minute drive into town if you are looking to be social!

Exactly what my partner and I were looking for. A quiet weekend in the woods to just be. Loved not having electricity and using candles at night. The surrounding property is full of magic. We had a beautiful fire right outside the cabin while looking at the expansive night sky. Highly recommend and can not wait to return.

Staying at this cabin was such an incredibly unique experience. We enjoyed staying here and the opportunity to fall in love with Hudson. Can't wait to come back.

Such an amazing getaway from the city. All the little touches like the candle lit atmosphere, little radio, fireplace, and great book collection added to the tranquil cabin experience. The sweetest little place. John is extremely helpful and a great host.

John's cabin is the perfect woodsy getaway. It was super warm and cozy, despite it being below freezing outside, and we loved cooking on the wood-burning stove! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a "glamping" experience with an extra touch of magic!!

Tom’s place was lovely and perfect for me and my pup. I enjoyed morning coffee/afternoon wine in the backyard, the sound of the creek rushing outside of the open windows, and a much more relaxed pace than my city life :) Very close to downtown Hudson, which felt a lot like being home in Brooklyn. I especially loved taking my dog to Art Omi for the afternoon. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would love to come back!

A lovely spot—Tom’s place on the Stockport Creek is unforgettable. Waking up each day to the creek framed in the lovely picture window was just tremendous. And the house is well situated for exploring the area. Great for those interested in exploring the Hudson River as well.

Tom’s place is nicer than the pictures. Smartly decorated, clean, spacious, comfy beds, good water pressure. Kitchen was well stocked...dishes, glasses, cups, cookware and cutlery, dish soap, towels etc. and they left us a dozen fresh eggs and honey from their farm. There was also coffee, olive oil and salt and pepper in the cupboards. Bathroom was well stocked too. The lanai, patio and backyard are on the small side but suited our needs well. There was a power outage that lasted into the night and Tom made a special trip to deliver a phone charger, flashlight and lantern to us. Now that’s considerate. The best part of staying here was the view - just beautiful - and the sounds of the song birds. We actually saw a bald eagle fly by. The Main Street Diner in Valatie had really good home style food at inexpensive prices. A lot of locals were there. Hudson has a ton of shops and restaurants. The Verdigris Tea and Chocolate Bar was a great find. If you like farmers markets checkout the one in Copake-Hillsdale. Wonderful cheeses, breads, charcuterie and fresh produce. And last but not least get a delicious artisanal ice cream at the Village Scoop in Hillsdale.

All amenities, comfortable beds, friendly and reachable, safe. Beautiful view, close to Hudson. Kayaking and farm animals. What more could you ask for. I will definitely be returning to this gorgeous place.

The mill house was wonderful! We had such a great time relaxing in the various cozy spaces, looking out at the river, cooking in the spacious kitchen, and watching movies with the projector. The house is full of character and charm and is old but functional. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care has been put into this home. There are only bathtubs (one has a shower head) but none of us had any issues with that (baths are great!). Tall people should know that you’ll do a fair amount of bending down to get through door frames on the upper floor :) Also keep in mind that you can hear almost anything from almost any part of the house, so be sure to go here with people you’re comfortable with. The WiFi was solid, the projector made for an epic screening night, the view was so wonderful, and we even made use of the fire pit on a cold night. We all felt restored after our stay here! Django’s rustic Hudson home was everything we were expecting and more. The space is so unique, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time into an artistic getaway. We felt cozy and right at home, and Django gave great tips for what to do in the area. My friends and I went to Art OMI, a free sculpture park 10 minutes away from the house, and would highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back someday

Our family of five had an absolutely lovely Thanksgiving week in Django's home. We had great meals, discussions, and card games around the table in the kitchen, and watched films together in the "screening room." All of the spaces in the home were interesting, warm, and welcoming, and the view of the river out of the windows was beautiful. Django was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. We also discovered Art Omi which is a fantastic sculpture park within a 15 minute drive. Overall a completely wonderful experience and we look forward to returning!

This is the second time I've stayed at Django's place. We love to come here with a couple friends to celebrate birthdays. It's a beautiful location right off a creek. Every time we set foot in the house we feel like we're being transported to a magical place. Really close drive to Hudson and hiking trails!

Django’s house was everything we had hoped for and more. The location is gorgeous on a small creek just outside of downtown Hudson (10 min ride away with plenty of Uber’s as well). The house itself had a great deal of old charm and had surprisingly good amenities for such an old house- the outdoor fire pit was a really nice touch. Some of the earlier reviews mentioned the stove was difficult to work - however they have replaced it with a brand new stove which works great. I went with my girlfriend and another couple and it was perfect for the four of us and was spacious enough to probably have another couple as well. We will definitely be returning (especially in the fall- the foliage was beautiful!)!

The house and the big room is especially are even more beautiful than photographed. We enjoyed our cozy time by the fire and cooked some lovely meals. The host was communicative and cared that we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. I would love to visit in the summer some time to enjoy the pool. A close drive to downtown Hudson and nearby hiking a plus!

William’s home was an ideal setting for a cozy New Year’s Eve. The home is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has plenty of great amenities which made for a perfect staycation with friends. We felt very welcome there!

Great place! I came here for the winter holidays with my family. We were looking for a large cozy and stylish place for 6 people, with space to relax, cook, laugh and spend time as a family. William's place delivered on everything! I would definitely rent his place again.

Our stay at William's house during Thanksgiving was wonderful! Beautiful mid-century modern home and furnishings. The setting and grounds are gorgeous (we would love to return in warmer weather to enjoy the pool and outdoor space). Very spacious great room. Cozy with the wood stove. Everything that you would need; fully equipped kitchen, lovely dining room. Walk down the road for amazing views of the Catskills across the field. Close to wonderful sculpture park Art Omi, and easy drive to Hudson and all that it has to offer. Great small brewery nearby (Old Klaverack Brewery).

Will’s home is very special for a family gathering in the fall. We loved the amenities, space, and the beautiful outdoors. Will made us feel welcome and relaxed. Close to downtown Hudson and so much local beauty. Our family took the train from Manhattan and it was so easy and accessible for our time in Hudson.

We stayed at William’s place 4 nights in October. The house is very big and has a nice pool (sadly in October, it was too cold to enjoy it). The house is really big with 3 bedrooms and sun-filled. We really enjoyed the huge backyard and the privacy (the neighborhood is super quiet). Would love to stay there again!

Had a lovely time with our family on a getaway over the winter . Absolutely serene and beautiful views from the house of the river. House was fully equipped to make for easy living while there. We prepared all our own meals and really felt at home. Decor was unique and made the stay memorable. Children had a wonderful time playing outside, watching movies in the media room and roasting marshmallows. They didn't want to leave! Really a fun stay.

Emory's place is big and beautiful with lots of room for a everyone to spread out. My friends and I were there over Thanksgiving (3 adults and 2 kids) The kitchen has EVERYTHING you can think of for cooking ( a great stove, KitchenAid, food processor, great cookware and more) Lots of space, so much fun to cook in. The house is styled beautifully with antiques, art and mid century pieces, as well as gorgeous antique rugs stylish but comfortable. That said, if you have children, the house rules are a bit restrictive and you may spend a lot time enforcing rules with young ones (no food or drink on couch in main space). There's a Media Room on the ground floor but if you want to watch TV as a family, you all have to be down there, which if fine but it feels separate. I imagine being at Emory's in the summertime would be pretty magical, because that pool looks AMAZING and I want to come back! The property the house is on is STUNNING and the Stockport Creek which runs in front of it is so gorgeous, you can gaze at it for hours, so who needs a TV anyway? Last of all, the proximity of the house to Hudson is so convenient, you really have it all, a stylish "Country House" experience and fabulous Hudson just 10 mins away.

Emory’s house was amazing. Perfectly situated on the banks of the river, and a quick 10 minute drive to Hudson. Plenty of amenities available and the house was clean. Would recommend.

The place is clean, stylish, and nice location. Had a very nice stay! Maybe not the best for little kids (lots of rugs that are not super friendly for kids). Also the owner leaves their stuff in the house so it’s a little weird to have stuff in the pantry/bar that you can see but can’t touch.

Emory’s house is a magical space to gather friends and family. It’s private and quiet yet only a short drive to town. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely beautiful home. The layout, the views, the decor, and the location were all perfect. This house is extremely clean and full of books and magazines to enjoy. We felt immediately at home and had a fantastic and comfortable stay. We highly recommend Emory's place in Hudson and we would book again.

Lawrence's place is clean and comfortable. Sitting in the kitchen, you'll feel like you are on a riverboat with water on all sides, it's a beautiful view.

Full disclosure, I've known and respected Lawrence (aka Ding, we all had nicknames) for nearly 60 years, even though I haven't resided in Athens for the last 45. For me, Athens is a magical little town on a magical river, the mighty Hudson. Ding's AirBnB just happens to be a perfect place for a "base camp" if you want to explore the area or just hang out. Yes, it started life as a mobile home but it's obviously been upgraded and turned into an extremely comfortable dwelling. It's clean and very well kept, parking is ample and easy, beds & living room are comfortable and access to Athens is just a step out the door. The BEST part for us at Ding's Place; the kitchen seems to hover right over the river, our coffee time lasted longer than normal because we just sat & watched the river flow. The only way you could possibly get closer to the water would be by hopping on a boat or diving in. Athens is a true upstate river town, small and proud, with almost no change in population in the last 100 years, see the Wiki link below. The region is loaded with history as well, Frederic Church's Olana is across the river right at the other end of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and Woodstock is 25 miles away. Athens is walkable and unbelievably quiet, with a PILE of Victorian houses ESPECIALLY on tree lined South Franklin Street, go to Google maps street view for a virtual tour then reserve Ding's place. Richard's home is a true gem. I couldn't have imagined a cozier and more beautiful space to spend NYE with friends and my pup. We spent our nights cooking and sitting by the fire. Easy to sleep 6 if you need (and people are willing to crash on couches) but note that there is one bathroom (we didn't check out the basement where there is apparently another working toilet). Super close to town too! Would love to come to Richard's again.

What a gorgeous house! It is open and spacious, yet cozy. Rustic but elegant. We enjoyed the rich, but uncluttered artistic aesthetic inside the house and through the floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors to the garden. There is the romance of a 19th century period home, but with all the modern comforts of the 21st century. Wonderful. Perfectly clean and with all amenities provided. Awesome host. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

What an absolutely beautiful house! Beautiful tall windows and tastefully furnished. My partner and I loved the layout as it's rare to find a large nice space that hasn't been subdivided into smaller bedrooms. The bedroom and powder room were lovely. The kitchen was small but we did not really cook as there were too many great restaurants in Hudson to try! The drive is about 10-15 minutes and totally manageable. Richard was super quick to respond and I'd definitely recommend him as a host and his house as a destination!

The property is beautiful, and the location great - close to access town and nature/hikes. We loved hanging out in the back yard and porch with our dogs, visiting waterfalls, and shopping and dinning in town.

A lovely getaway!

We stayed at Richard’s house during a cold President’s Day weekend and saw 4 inches of snow (the driveway was quickly plowed the next morning). The fireplace was lovely and we stayed warm, comfortable and relaxed. It’s an easy drive into Hudson for great food and shopping. I’d love to go back and explore more when it’s a little warmer, but it was a great winter weekend getaway.

Richard’s home is beautiful and comfortable and accurately advertised. It is conveniently located approximately 10 minutes from town. We especially enjoyed the working fireplaces and the peaceful surrounding property. The kitchen was equipped for what we needed (snacks and breakfasts) and his book collection was impressive. Richard was friendly and easy to communicate with - ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. This was our first trip to Hudson and it well exceeded expectations. The restaurants are excellent. We look forward to visiting again soon.

The space is perfectly cute we couldn’t have asked for more. Check in and check out is person-less and seamless with very minimal and clear instructions. It’s a short lovely walk into town and we went on morning jogs to a beautiful nature walk that Annabel recommended. Also Hudson is a gem.

About a 5-10 minute walk to the Main Street. The place was very spacious and cute. Very comfortable. Favorite surprise: The record player! We went out and bought an album from the record store (7 min walk)

My girl and I were so happy on this house. We said to ourselves that when we will have all, something like this would be enough!

I was here for a week during February. My whole purpose was to work on my book and man! was this space terrific for that. I had a little room at the front with a desk and a lamp and I was really able to focus in there. Bedroom was clean and simple and beds comfortable, just the kind of room to really sleep good in. The kitchen is spacious and I had all that I needed. I was worried I would be cold but there was ample heat, especially when I realized if I closed the two doors to the entrance hall it made a huge difference in keeping the living room and dining room warm. Neighbors were peaceful and quiet. Bathroom is clean and plenty of hot water, nice toiletries and natural light.

Annabel’s space was magnificent. Great location- walking distance to main area of Hudson. House is full of amenities. We wanted a place to go to and be able to chill and relax from the city and that is definitely what we got. Felt very much at home and ended up not wanting to leave. We will be back if ever in the area.

Great place and location close to main streets!

Very clean, light filled upper duplex within easy 5 minute walk to town center. Very comfortable for 2-4 people with an especially nice minimalist Swedish-style decor and whitewashed floors. Lovely soft white beds. Communication was prompt and the apartment is turn key. Recommended.

Cozy little spot near Warren Street in Hudson but far enough away to have a quiet stay. Best if you bring a car, but we were able to use ride share apps if we scheduled in advance.

Conor and Allison’s guest house is such a gem and a great place to stay while visiting Hudson. It’s only 7mim by car to town, but far enough you feel like you’re staying in the woods. We spent a week there this winter and saw many birds and deer around the property. Exactly as pictured, the guest house itself is a super stylish recently-built studio, spotless clean and thoughtfully designed with some vintage furniture pieces. There’s a picnic table just outside in the front yard, though it was too cold for us to spend much time sitting out and exploring the surrounding areas. Temp was Nest controlled, so you could set to your liking which was great. We were working remotely and the wifi was pretty great, except by some occasional spotty moments which prob normal given location. There are 2 skylights in ceiling, so thought it’s pitch dark at night, it gets bright early (didn’t bother us, but worth mentioning). Bed and linens were super comfy, but what I loved the most was how quiet it was to sleep at night. You wouldn’t hear a thing, which def added to the relaxing vibe of the space. Bathroom was great too, with a view into the woods and high-quality toiletries. Overall great experience and hosts were quick to communicate. Would def come back again!

The space was cozy with artistic modern decor. There was a loft space that was being worked on. Wish we could've seen it finished. Dog friendly. Enclosed backyard was big enough for our pups to run around in. The fridge was a little small, but we ate out most of the time. Close to town and there's plenty to do. They answered questions right away, and were very pleasant.

Very good place! We had a peefect stay at Allison and Conor's place. Definately recommend to everyone. Close to everything we need for staying there during the long weekend. Allison and Cornor response within a minute. Our puppy also found a large fenced yard to play in.

Allison and Conors place is 7 minutes from town and is decorated really nicely. Bed is super comfy and really enjoyed my stay there. Exactly what I needed to a quiet getaway.

Paul’s place was great! The bed was really comfortable, and Paul made us breakfast both mornings which was really nice and delicious (he even accommodated our vegetarian diets!) It’s close to town by car, and he gave lots of advice for local things to check out. Great value and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice affordable place to stay with a great host!

Paul and Francesca were very warm and welcoming. Paul went out of his way to accommodate my dog, Gia. He spent hours chillin' with her, which was a real godsend. Gia also got to hang with Francesca's dog, Grumby (?not sure if I spelled that right?) who is pretty awesome. Paul whipped up a veggie breakfast for me since I don't eat eggs or meat....he's clearly a foodie, and the presentation was A+. I would definitely recommend this for anyone traveling solo or with pets.

Paul’s place is fine. It is fairly priced and convenient. Paul is extremely gracious and his home is charming. He even offers to cook breakfast! Do yourself a favor and engage Paul in conversation ! He is very interesting with lots of life experiences. I would stay there again

Paul’s hospitality was top notch! His commitment to providing quality service for your stay was a highlight unmatched by other Airbnb hosts. The room itself is very simple. It’s a bed, a chair, a nightstand. Perfect if you are really just looking for a place to sleep at night. I will say the bed is amazing!! Which can be the downfall of many Airbnb experiences for me. Paul was also happy to whip up an incredible breakfast feast both mornings we were there, accommodating our vegetarian diet. The love put into our food made the whole experience unforgettable. Paul is hoping to open his own bed and breakfast some day, and it shows in his culinary prowess. Breakfast and the bed itself were the highlights. Perfect for what we needed for a two night stay! The location is also just a few min drive to the Main Street of Hudson. Very convenient! Note: he does have many dogs. They can be a bit noisy in the backyard. If you are a light sleeper, this may be of issue. I slept through the night, but my partner woke up a couple times the first evening there. The next night he slept with ear plugs. He didn’t mind and overall this was very minor for us. We will be coming back next time we’re in Hudson :)

Through the front door into a different world. Beautiful rooms, decor, antiques, art, and great conversations with Paul and his wife. He does cook up an amazing breakfast: guaranteed to have the best scrambled eggs ever (á la Julia!). We had a great visit there.

Paul was a very friendly host. He loves to cook and insisted on making me breakfast and coffee each morning. They both lead interesting lives and I enjoyed their company as well as the company of their animals. Great value and a relaxing stay.

Place was great and had everything I needed. Would definitely stay again. Ceilings were low on the sides for a tall guy like me but it was manageable. Lynne had great communication, zero confusion.

Lynne's place is super cute, an ideal base for a Hudson Valley getaway. It is impeccably clean and quiet, and every amenity one needs is provided. In terms of location it is a short drive from Hudson. Beautiful peaceful views of fall foliage in the backyard and surrounding areas if you visit in October!

Lynne’s place is a great value, it was clean and private. It is close to Hudson and Chatham, NY and not far from some nice Catskill Mountain hiking.

Trixie’s place is perfect for one person or a couple. It’s beautifully furnished, unique, cozy, well equipped, and conveniently located for walking around town or driving further afield. Trixie is also a phenomenal host.

I absolutely loved my stay. The place was VERY clean and Rich was very responsive and happy to answer any questions. When confirming my stay I got a whole bunch of great tips for stuff to do or see around town. The location is hard to beat too. Within walking distance of everything and despite some traffic noise it gets real quite in the evening/night. I also love how the floor is kept so warm so walking around in the morning is great. The big comfortable bed is also very clean, plenty of room for two or stretch out and enjoy. Fridge, microwave and coffee is available and the best part was the fresh cookies waiting for me when I got in... They were heavenly! I found Hudson to be a great little town and will visit again, I can only hope to stay here again

I highly recommend staying at Rich/Trixie's place during your stay in Hudson, NY. Always communicated with me quickly if there were any issues and gave great tips/recommendations for places to eat. The studio accommodation is perfect for solo travelers (or a duo). Everything was clean and tidy and well designed ( basically, the description above is 100% accurate). Very close (10-15 minute walk) to the Amtrak Station and less than 5 minutes away from Warren Street, the main street with all the shops and restaurants. When I come back to Hudson, I will definitely stay at Rich/Trixie's again! Also, the cookies were SO GOOD.

Trixie's is beautifully located in the heart of Hudson with access to all the fun things around, the place is stylish and very practical, and I had a chance to share all that coziness with my pup, plus ebjoyed free! cookies on top of it. I loved it and we will return.

A little hotel room in the middle of Hudson! This is a great space, feels very private, in a historic home with interesting origins. Smack in the middle of town, safely walkable to everything, ample parking. A great deal for Hudson. Loved my night here!

Great place! A short walk to Warren St and the many restaurants and shops Hudson has to offer. Really enjoyed my stay. The space has all the essentials, which make it an ideal spot to either be low key and cook, or use as a base to see the area. Our 2-day stay for Valentine’s day went just as expected. Annabel’s place is cozy, and a pleasure to come back to after being out and about in Hudson and the surrounding communities. We especially enjoyed driving to Rodgers Book Barn in Hillsdale for an eclectic book-browsing and buying experience. It’s also an easy walk to Warren Street, where there are plenty of restaurants, galleries and antique stores to shop locally. Also, close by are two places worth mentioning: Helsinski Hudson, where we had a great Valentine’s Day dinner; and, Time & Space Limited (TSL), a unique art space with a small theatre. I’m into music, so I was happy playing the vintage vinyl records, while my partner enjoyed her sauna bubble bath. If you’re exploring the Hudson Valley, I would definitely recommend Annabel’s place for its comfort and convenience.

Annabel’s apartment had beautiful decorative touches. It is particularly clean and spacious. We enjoyed walking to the main strip in under 5 mins. Had a very relaxing stay!

This is a beautiful, stylish home and immediately sends one into a restful state of mind. The location is just fine -- a brief walk to all the things you need. The mattresses are firm (the way I like it) and very comfortable. Lovely place to stay.

Whitney & Isaak’s beautiful home in the tiny town of Coxsackie was perfect for the four of us to escape the city and wind down upstate over New Year’s Eve. The house itself is well appointed, with more than you need for a comfortable stay. The property is well located close to all you could need in Coxsackie, and a short drive away from other towns like Athens and Catskill. The character features and furnishings really add to the experience, with every room beautifully and thoughtfully presented. Little touches like a welcome bottle of wine and detailed tips on exploring the area made this an excellent stay. Definitely recommend.

My guests and I had a lovely weekend getaway at Whitey & Isaak’s cozy home! The house was decorated beautifully and included all amenities needed (we especially loved using the projector). The only downside of the house is that it made a lot of noises at night (due to heating/water system) so it was a bit hard to sleep, however I completely understand why since the house is on the older side. Put on some music to fall asleep and you’re good to go! Whitney & Isaak were quick to respond and were very accommodating. We hope to return soon!

This place is absolutely wonderful and is decorated with such a nice touch, that will leave you in awe. The decor is tasteful and the additions of some modern touches such as Google Home and a projector to enjoy some movies and tv shows on really make you to just soak up the entire home. We ate at Crossroads Brewing Company and Bonfiglio & Bread and were just blown away by the food. I completely recommend this place as a lovely getaway from NYC!

The home was perfect. A cute hide away; antique character mixed with modern design. Gorgeous high ceilings and bright large windows. The bathroom was especially luxurious featuring a large, refinished stand-up shower with antique door and google home available to play your favorite tunes as you get ready. All the amenities needed for a relaxing get away. The The general store in town is just a quick walk down the road and just past it, beautiful views of the Hudson River at a small park. The convenient location made it easy to commute to Hudson as well as a few other quaint towns in the surrounding area. Check-in and out was super easy. Whitney and Isaak were responsive and accommodating. They left a helpful guide to the house and surrounding area. They've truly thought of everything. They even left a bottle wine for us to enjoy. Would definitely book again!

Valerie’s place is charming, spacious, light-filled and toasty in the winter. It was perfectly located for exploring Hudson. Valerie was a wonderful host, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

My fiance and I were getting away for a quick few days, hoping to have a place to decompress from our everyday grinds without getting too bored. Valerie's place was great for this! It was super homey and comfortable to spend time relaxing in (we spent a lot of time in the cute reading nook by the window), but it was also a quick walk to all sorts of shops, coffee spots and restaurants for when we felt like getting out. We were really happy with our stay.

We had a lovely weekend staying in Amanda & Chris’s home. The home was renovated, modern, and very comfortable. We were a group of 9 and they were accommodating by setting up an air mattress for our 9th person. Warren street was a quick walk away with tons of shops and restaurants.

My mom and I stayed at Diane's place for a weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday and enjoy autumn foliage. This apartment is AMAZING! It is nicely decorated, clean, spacious and quite. Great peaceful view from the kitchen and the blue bedroom. Coffee, tea, fruit, milk, juice and yogurt was available upon chicken. Beautiful scenic drive to the Hunter mountain is about 45 min and oh so worth it. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

Our stay was great! Super cute place, and very clean. She even left yogurt and fruit in the kitchen, and made everything easily accessible. Will recommend to anyone visiting the upstate area.

Between the comfort of the bed and the room-darkening shades, I slept better than I have for months! The kitchen was beautiful and very well appointed, and I was overjoyed to find milk in the fridge when I arrived. The local menus were a nice touch and helped me pick out a couple of great spots for meals. And it was super clean and tidy!

Diane's place is great. It is an old Victorian and the apartment is lovely. Beds are super comfy, there are all the amenities you can every need including yogurt in the fridge for breakfast and great coffee. Her kitchen is so well equipped you could cook for friends and still not run out of pots or dishes!

The apartment is very nice. It's roomy and has nice character as the house is older in style. Everything is wonderfully clean, neat, with everything in place. Anyone who stays here will not be disappointed.

Great place for a few nights in Hudson. Julia and Juan were super flexible with our check-out time and were great at communicating. The only downside was the mattress in the main bedroom - it awkwardly curved in the middle and my fiancé and I didn't sleep great. Otherwise, we had everything we needed!

We had a lovely stay at this apartment for a weekend trip to Hudson. Everything was exactly as described! The apartment was thoughtfully decorated, and we were genuinely impressed by the consistent aesthetic throughout all the rooms. You could definitely tell a lot of time and care went into the design! On a practical note, everything was very comfortable and worked perfectly. We especially appreciated the tv having a fire stick so that we were able to log into our netflix and amazon accounts for some laid back streaming in the evenings. The check-in/check-out process was seamless, and the location was perfect for our needs -- a 10-15 minute walk to all the restaurants, bars, and shops on Warren Street, as well as the Amtrak station. Overall, a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Very convenient and comfortable apartment in downtown Hudson. It has everything you need for a weekend getaway upstate. We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 month old baby and had a great time. Tom and Cathy were excellent hosts providing detailed instructions, giving great tips on local activities, and making sure we were comfortable. They were friendly and very responsive to all my questions. The home itself was different than any place I’ve stayed in before and provided a refreshing experience. We felt comfortable and were excited to wake up each morning and open our windows to view the beautiful creek. The town, Hudson, was close enough that we could drive there in 10 minutes or less, but far enough where we were still in a more nature-like environment.

Tom and Cathy were super nice and welcoming! We loved the fresh eggs and loved being able to meet their pet Hawk and farm animals! The house was super clean and was a beautiful spot to stay with beautiful views! We loved being able to use the kayaks! Great time! Will definitely be back!

This place is great! I wasn’t completely sure what to expect but the house is spacious, welcoming and clean. It was a very house meets cabin feel with lots of windows and a great enclosed porch. We spent a lot of time at the fire pit and loved using the kayaks. It was quite an escape to sit there and watch the creek. The neighbors are friendly, which is good because it’s a small gravel road to the house where you are winding through houses but the property itself feels very private. We definitely hope to be back soon.

Absolutely lovely escape from the city. Right on the water with easy access for kayaks and paddleboards. Conveniently located near the town of Hudson as well as lots of good places to get out into nature. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. Great hosts, great home, great location, great everything.

Love the place and it was wonderful for the dogs. Tom and Caity were very helpful when we arrived and made us feel welcome. All amenities that are needed were available. But the best for us was the nature around us, the peace and quite and the relaxed atmosphere. And the provided kayaks and safety vests gave us the opportunity to experience the creek and water even more. Cant wait to come back. The house is spacious and clean and has everything you need. Nicely decorated and nice backyard furniture for time outside.

What a wonderful surprise to discover this secluded spot so close to nature. Our early morning kayak right out the front door was a delight. The house is clean and has everything you need. We chose to cook our meals though restaurants were close by and fired up the grill to eat outside by the creek. House has everything you need. Fresh eggs and honey from their hives was a bonus! Great recommendations on farm-stand and local hikes. Can't wait to come back.

Reading the spines of the books makes you feel part of a community. Especially recommend to people who like to read, write, draw. It was great to have a desk in the bedroom. There are movies, events, and readings at TSL nearby.

We had a great stay at Tracy’s townhome! Everything about the townhome was exactly as pictured and advertised. It was a great balance between old school and updated. Parking was easy (and free!). The townhome was conveniently located to downtown and the big box stores like Walmart and shoprite. Tracy’s list of suggested restaurants and information about the area came in handy many times! It was the perfect weekend getaway location- we can’t wait to go back!

Spent the weekend in Hudson and Tracy’s home was perfect for the getaway. The bed was so comfortable, we had a hard time getting up in the mornings! Appreciated the coffee and sparkling water, nice touches in the bathroom as well, to help make you feel more at home. Super close to many places we ventured out to, it was really convenient albeit slightly off Warren Street. Only a 15 min ride via Uber from the train station and walking distance anywhere on Warren. Would love to stay here again!

Had a relaxing stay at Claire’s place for a week. Conveniently located near the center of town, it is in walking distance to many local restaurants and antique stores. The space is very bright and inviting which added to our great vacation! Got a lot of use out of her well equipped kitchen. Claire's place is a warm and cozy refuge that is so charmingly decorated unbelievably spacious. The bedding in the master bedroom was very plush (usually bed pillows are less than comfy in most places I've stayed) and warm. Very important to me is a shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Claire's was exceptional. I'll bet it would be lovely to be in her place in all the other seasons and relax in what looks like a lush garden; I was there in winter so missed the opportunity. All in all, Claire's place is a dream and an incredible value. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

A unique home in a historic town. Squeaky clean, peaceful, and quiet. The sauna and fireplace made it easy to relax after hiking on the beautiful trails only a short drive away.

Nice cozy getaway from the city!

The house is a DREAM. Cozy living room with a fireplace, lovely sauna, huge bathtub - all perfect for a getaway weekend with a loved one. If coming from NYC, I would recommend taking a car - we tried to rely on Ubers and taxis in the area, which was a bit inconvenient. Sam was incredibly attentive to any and all of our needs the entire time, I cannot recommend this stay enough!

Really cool “vintage” household with all the basic modern amenities to stay warm and comfortable. House tells its own story with every room you walk in. We took a short trip and didnt get to take full advantage of all our surroundings but we certainly enjoyed disconnecting from distractions for a couple days with our young family and getting to spend more positive times together. Definitely would like to check the place out in late Spring or Fall to really see the beauty of the Hudson.

There isn't too much happening in Athens but it was a short cab ride into Hudson where there's a lot of great shops and restaurants. The sauna is absolutely amazing and well worth the extra cost! I would definitely stay at Sams place again :)

This is our second time staying at Suzys place. It was just as wonderful as we remembered. A great location, beautiful home, and THE MOST comfortable beds! Would recommend to anyone staying in the Hudson area!

I visit Hudson a lot, all year, with my 7 year old daughter. We always stay at Suzy's. It's cozy but stylish, and the location is perfect--just a block from the bustle of Warren Street's shopping and restaurants. It's also a great place to stay in the winter if you want to ski; it's short drive to local family resorts Catamount and Butternut and also Hunter Mountain. We love Suzy's house and wouldn't stay anyplace else!

My family of 6 (4 adults and 2 toddlers plus a small dog) stayed at Suzy's place over Thanksgiving weekend. Her place is exactly as described and has everything you need including cookware, plush towels and extremely comfy beds (memory foam!). Two of the 3 rooms have great shades to block out most of the light (huge plus for our toddlers' sleep) and the open floor plan was spacious. Easy check-in, lots of street parking, thoughtful touches of decor, tons of books, smart TV, fast wifi, and of course excellent location for walking distance to everything you need. Suzy was very responsive, accommodating and friendly and we can't wait to come back when it's warmer to take more advantage of the location and the outdoor space! Thanks Suzy!

Great natural lighting in the mornings and beautiful home

I was almost hesitant to add a review because this place is so special and serene that I don’t want anyone else to know about it. But we absolutely adored our stay! Gorgeous views, a warm double-sided fireplace, beautiful decor, and complete coziness. The rooms were clean, the owner was responsive, and checkin and checkout were seamless.

Such a unique space! We truly enjoyed the homey feel of this apartment. The occasion we were traveling for was not a happy one, and it was comforting to come “home” at night. Mr. Michael was very accommodating to rent us his space during such uncertain times. Check in and check out were a breeze and communication was excellent!

We had a great short stay in Hudson at Mister Michael’s! The apartment is very cosy, warm and comfortable. It’s very easy to find and he provided great local tips. Highly recommended!

This apartment is in the perfect location and offers an adorable, cozy space. We loved the decor and felt very comfortable hanging in this space. Parking is easy if you drive, but there are many lovely spots for food and drinks in walking distance. Michael checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Michael’s air bnb was amazing! the perfect spot for a 3 day trip. It’s so cozy and so close to town. We will definitely be back!

The location is pleasant, the space is comfortable, and the hospitality/food advice of the owners makes for a relaxing stay. I’d look to stay again when traveling back to Hudson.

K.J.s home is beautiful and cozy and everything you could want.

K.J.’s place is super restful, cozy, and in a great location in a quiet wooded area. The house has so many quaint touches, has a kitchen with everything you need, and a lovely gas burning “fireplace”. I went to get work done for the weekend and it was the perfect spot for that.

KJ's place is great for an upstate NY getaway. The house feels cozy and historic in a really special way. We loved the extra touches like fresh flowers and a propane fire place. We enjoyed how quaint and quiet the neighborhood and the town of Athens are. And it's super easy to get to Catskill & Hudson. Definitely recommend!

We stayed at K.J for thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is lovely, clean and ideal for gateway weekend. K.J offered great local tips and really made us feel welcome in her home. The propane fireplace was ideal after walks nearby. We highly recommend K.J’s home and would definitely stay again!
