  • Large, great space, excellent host, we will visit again.Thank you .

  • The peppercorn cottage is the perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends or family. The pictures definitely do it justice, but it's difficult to get the wonderful homey feeling until you're actually there. The cottage has all the amenities you may need (no microwave) in case you want to just stock up on groceries and hunker down. Both beds are tempur-pedic and super comfortable. But if you like darkness in the morning, definitely bring an eye mask. If you don't want to be directly in town, the cottage is perfectly located 10-15 minutes from anything and everything you may need! And Brieane and Scott were great hosts that answered all questions clearly and promptly. My friends and I are already planning our summer trip to Hudson!

    Taylor2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Peppercorn cottage was adorable, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Just a short ride away from downtown - conveniently located making things easy!

    Kayla2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay. Would stay again.

    Terry2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Brieane's home! The space is much larger than the pictures show! With a car it was close to everything the Hudson area has to offer. The space was clean and comfortable. One thing to note is that it is close to a road. That didn't bother us as we are used to noise, but it's something I would want to know. We loved our stay here with the chic and modern gold and black design. We would definitely come back!

    Ilana2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute place! About 10 minutes from downtown Hudson. We loved the very cozy couch and fireplace. It was a fabulous place for a getaway weekend to relax, meditate and recharge. We brought food to make for the weekend. There isn’t a microwave which was fine for us but something to note. The place is close to other homes and you can hear cars going by regularly but nothing super noisy. We would definitely recommend staying here.

    Christine2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was stylish and comfortable. Hudson offered great shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed ourselves!

Enjoy a quiet respite from the city in this architect-designed tiny house overlooking a meadow, deep in the woods. Located on 20 acres of land with private trails and Catskill-mountain views, this bespoke cabin feels blissfully far away from everything, yet it’s only a 15-minute drive from vibrant city of Hudson, NY. Experience a peaceful off-the-grid retreat —complete with hand-crank Victrola. Time moves slower here. The sky is closer. The stars, brighter. Note: NO electricity. NO Running water
The setting is intimate, serene, secluded. Clerestory windows contribute to a sculptural play of light against gently angled, hand-plastered walls. Downstairs: A bold, vintage-inspired ceramic tile floor, a wood-burning stove, and a bay window with a window seat for long, lazy afternoons of reading. Upstairs: the loft bedroom features wide, white-washed pine floors, a comfortable full-size bed and hand-crafted cabinets. Savor the pleasures of camping, of being close to nature, while experiencing the comforts of an idiosyncratic, beautifully designed abode. The cabin is well insulated, thus stays cool in the summer and warms up quickly in the winter. The cabin comes with a supply of drinking water. Cooking can be done indoors, on the wood-burning stove, or outside, on the Weber grill. Plenty of firewood (walnut, harvested from the property) awaits you. An outhouse toilet is sited about 200 yards away from the cabin. There is NO electricity and NO running water. If there is snow the drive is not plowed so the cabin is only accessible by parking at the end of the driveway and hiking to the cabin. This is approximately a 400 yard walk in the snow so bring boots or snow shoes and wear a backpack to get your supplies to the cabin!
The Hudson River, and boat launch for canoes and kayaks, is just a 20-minute walk or 3 minute drive away. The Stockport Creek, a conservation area, is even closer. In the opposite direction are trails on hundreds of acres that are protected and owned by Scenic Hudson. Fishing: There are striped bass and large mouth bass under the Stockport Creek bridge and under the Amtrack bridge, where the Stockport Creek feeds into the Hudson River.
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend. The cabin was well equipped with basic necessities and firewood. We stayed warm and cozy with the wood burning stove inside, enjoyed lots of bonfires and the beautiful views and stars. It was an incredible and relaxing experience.

    Kseniya2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a unique experience. I spent a of couple days at the cabin. Cut wood and newspaper were left for making fires. There was more than enough equipment there to be self sufficient. Also a 15 minute drive into town if you are looking to be social!

    Dakota2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what my partner and I were looking for. A quiet weekend in the woods to just be. Loved not having electricity and using candles at night. The surrounding property is full of magic. We had a beautiful fire right outside the cabin while looking at the expansive night sky. Highly recommend and can not wait to return.

    Mary2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at this cabin was such an incredibly unique experience. We enjoyed staying here and the opportunity to fall in love with Hudson. Can't wait to come back.

    Alex2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • unique cabin, thoughtfully designed and crafted - nestled in a forest clearing. We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay - well insulated - easy to keep the cabin warm in winter.

    Gregory2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin, in a great spot! I will be back.

    Matt2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing getaway from the city. All the little touches like the candle lit atmosphere, little radio, fireplace, and great book collection added to the tranquil cabin experience. The sweetest little place. John is extremely helpful and a great host.

    Brandi2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • John's cabin is the perfect woodsy getaway. It was super warm and cozy, despite it being below freezing outside, and we loved cooking on the wood-burning stove! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a "glamping" experience with an extra touch of magic!!

  • Had an absolutely great time here! Awesome modernized house with an amazing view. It was very clean and had great amenities for convenience! Excellent value for all that comes with this place! Will definitely ask to return!

  • This space was great for a winter getaway. Beautiful view. Comfortable bed and amenities. Much nicer than the pictures make it out to be. Great proximity to Hudson. Tom and Cathy were great communicators and made our trip wonderful. Also had a magical experience with the Hawk!

  • Comfy, clean with a great view.

    Tariq2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tom’s place was lovely and perfect for me and my pup. I enjoyed morning coffee/afternoon wine in the backyard, the sound of the creek rushing outside of the open windows, and a much more relaxed pace than my city life :) Very close to downtown Hudson, which felt a lot like being home in Brooklyn. I especially loved taking my dog to Art Omi for the afternoon. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would love to come back!

    Laura2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely spot—Tom’s place on the Stockport Creek is unforgettable. Waking up each day to the creek framed in the lovely picture window was just tremendous. And the house is well situated for exploring the area. Great for those interested in exploring the Hudson River as well.

    Anthony2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Tom’s place is nicer than the pictures. Smartly decorated, clean, spacious, comfy beds, good water pressure. Kitchen was well stocked...dishes, glasses, cups, cookware and cutlery, dish soap, towels etc. and they left us a dozen fresh eggs and honey from their farm. There was also coffee, olive oil and salt and pepper in the cupboards. Bathroom was well stocked too. The lanai, patio and backyard are on the small side but suited our needs well. There was a power outage that lasted into the night and Tom made a special trip to deliver a phone charger, flashlight and lantern to us. Now that’s considerate. The best part of staying here was the view - just beautiful - and the sounds of the song birds. We actually saw a bald eagle fly by. The Main Street Diner in Valatie had really good home style food at inexpensive prices. A lot of locals were there. Hudson has a ton of shops and restaurants. The Verdigris Tea and Chocolate Bar was a great find. If you like farmers markets checkout the one in Copake-Hillsdale. Wonderful cheeses, breads, charcuterie and fresh produce. And last but not least get a delicious artisanal ice cream at the Village Scoop in Hillsdale.

    Rose2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • All amenities, comfortable beds, friendly and reachable, safe. Beautiful view, close to Hudson. Kayaking and farm animals. What more could you ask for. I will definitely be returning to this gorgeous place.

Nestled above a breathtaking Hudson River tributary, this 19th century colonial is the perfect escape for anyone looking to get away and unwind. The product of a twenty year effort by a long time artist, the house is meticulously curated and a testament to the “starving artist,” collected piece by piece at flee markets and tattered estate sales.
Guests are provided access to a full kitchen, living room, studio, study/cinema, two and a half bathrooms and three bedrooms. All spaces are inviting and feature original flooring, doors, and hardware. The garden is a wonderful gathering space during the warmer months, and has un-paralleled views. Equally well suited to overcoming writers block or launching a day of antiquing in Hudson, this property is the perfect place to enjoy a warm family style meal with friends and explore everything that the Hudson Valley has to offer.
  • The mill house was wonderful! We had such a great time relaxing in the various cozy spaces, looking out at the river, cooking in the spacious kitchen, and watching movies with the projector. The house is full of character and charm and is old but functional. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care has been put into this home. There are only bathtubs (one has a shower head) but none of us had any issues with that (baths are great!). Tall people should know that you’ll do a fair amount of bending down to get through door frames on the upper floor :) Also keep in mind that you can hear almost anything from almost any part of the house, so be sure to go here with people you’re comfortable with. The WiFi was solid, the projector made for an epic screening night, the view was so wonderful, and we even made use of the fire pit on a cold night. We all felt restored after our stay here! Thank you so much Django.

    Katie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Django’s rustic Hudson home was everything we were expecting and more. The space is so unique, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time into an artistic getaway. We felt cozy and right at home, and Django gave great tips for what to do in the area. My friends and I went to Art OMI, a free sculpture park 10 minutes away from the house, and would highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back someday

    Sarah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Totally quirky but really fun. Great location, well stocked with all the kitchen gadgets you’d ever need, and very cozy.

    Jason2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Django's place was great for a weekend upstate with my parents. The tub was amazing. Thanks!!

    Tanya2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This a peaceful retreat where you’ll feel equal parts rested and inspired. We would happily stay again, and recommend the space for couples or groups. The movie collection and projector are extra special! Thanks to Django for easy, warm and friendly communication!

    Gunjan2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of five had an absolutely lovely Thanksgiving week in Django's home. We had great meals, discussions, and card games around the table in the kitchen, and watched films together in the "screening room." All of the spaces in the home were interesting, warm, and welcoming, and the view of the river out of the windows was beautiful. Django was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. We also discovered Art Omi which is a fantastic sculpture park within a 15 minute drive. Overall a completely wonderful experience and we look forward to returning!

    Trish2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time I've stayed at Django's place. We love to come here with a couple friends to celebrate birthdays. It's a beautiful location right off a creek. Every time we set foot in the house we feel like we're being transported to a magical place. Really close drive to Hudson and hiking trails!

    Marianne2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Django’s house was everything we had hoped for and more. The location is gorgeous on a small creek just outside of downtown Hudson (10 min ride away with plenty of Uber’s as well). The house itself had a great deal of old charm and had surprisingly good amenities for such an old house- the outdoor fire pit was a really nice touch. Some of the earlier reviews mentioned the stove was difficult to work - however they have replaced it with a brand new stove which works great. I went with my girlfriend and another couple and it was perfect for the four of us and was spacious enough to probably have another couple as well. We will definitely be returning (especially in the fall- the foliage was beautiful!)!

Get the best of both worlds. Enjoy the amazing town of Hudson while staying in the secluded country home. This mid-century modern home has it all: 3 large bedrooms, huge living room, dining, fully equipped kitchen, W&D, pool, and huge yard with a fire pit. The house is less than 15 minutes from Hudson with all the amazing restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shopping that the town is famous for.
The house is a mid century Deck house. It has a massive living room with huge glass windows overlooking the garden and salt water pool. The living room has a tv with hooked up to Roku and I have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a private bathroom. There are two other bedrooms that share a good size bathroom. You can add a blow up bed in the living room if needed. There is also a half bathroom between the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is large and great for cooking. There is a dishwasher, an induction stove (awesome for cooking), and plenty of pots and pans and dishes. The kitchen is next to the large dining room that sets up to 8 people. On the deck off the dining room is a gas grill. You can eat outside on the deck or pool patio. The pool is a salt water pool - no chlorine smell. Feels like you are swimming in fresh water. The pool is in full sun and the pool temperature is perfect. There is a washer and dryer if you need it.
My house is on three acres with beautiful meadows. You are less than 15 minutes to downtown Hudson, NY with amazing restaurants, bars, and shopping. I am also within 15 minutes of amazing parks such as Art Omi (an outdoor sculpture park), High Falls in Philmont (amazing waterfall and swimming hole), Greenport Park (beautiful views of the Hudson River), and Olana (amazing park that was home to one of the most famous Hudson River painters). There are many farm stands and farmers markets in the area. I highly recommend the Hudson farmers market on Saturday and Wednesday. They not only have amazing vegetables, fruit and meats but there are lots of baked good, but flowers, distillers, etc.
  • The house and the big room is especially are even more beautiful than photographed. We enjoyed our cozy time by the fire and cooked some lovely meals. The host was communicative and cared that we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. I would love to visit in the summer some time to enjoy the pool. A close drive to downtown Hudson and nearby hiking a plus!

    Alexandra2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience from end to end. William was a pro when it came to communication - going above and beyond to offer assistance and recommendations. The house was comfortable and very well appointed with beautiful furniture and well stocked kitchen equipment. We will be back!

    Andrew2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • William’s home was an ideal setting for a cozy New Year’s Eve. The home is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has plenty of great amenities which made for a perfect staycation with friends. We felt very welcome there!

    Alexandra2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! I came here for the winter holidays with my family. We were looking for a large cozy and stylish place for 6 people, with space to relax, cook, laugh and spend time as a family. William's place delivered on everything! I would definitely rent his place again.

    Brendan2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at William's house during Thanksgiving was wonderful! Beautiful mid-century modern home and furnishings. The setting and grounds are gorgeous (we would love to return in warmer weather to enjoy the pool and outdoor space). Very spacious great room. Cozy with the wood stove. Everything that you would need; fully equipped kitchen, lovely dining room. Walk down the road for amazing views of the Catskills across the field. Close to wonderful sculpture park Art Omi, and easy drive to Hudson and all that it has to offer. Great small brewery nearby (Old Klaverack Brewery).

    Ann2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Well stocked kitchen for home cooking!

    Patricia2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Will’s home is very special for a family gathering in the fall. We loved the amenities, space, and the beautiful outdoors. Will made us feel welcome and relaxed. Close to downtown Hudson and so much local beauty. Our family took the train from Manhattan and it was so easy and accessible for our time in Hudson.

    Linda2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at William’s place 4 nights in October. The house is very big and has a nice pool (sadly in October, it was too cold to enjoy it). The house is really big with 3 bedrooms and sun-filled. We really enjoyed the huge backyard and the privacy (the neighborhood is super quiet). Would love to stay there again!

Stylish, modern house has commanding views of the Stockport Creek, owning 110 ft water frontage. Secluded and surrounded by nature, the house sits high along the banks and is oriented to take in the beautiful creek views from every window, IG pool, patio and deck. Floor-to-ceiling glass sliders flood the living space with all-day light. Four bedrooms are positioned on three levels for added privacy. Property delivers all the great outdoor wonders of a nature preserve, yet a quick drive to town.
Perfect for all four seasons. Large home with three bedrooms plus "media room" with platform-style sofa that can be used as an additional queen bed. Decor is considered and original. The location is fantastic - nestled at the bottom of a private road, right on the creek and within a 10 minute drive of Warren Street in Hudson.
  • Had a lovely time with our family on a getaway over the winter . Absolutely serene and beautiful views from the house of the river. House was fully equipped to make for easy living while there. We prepared all our own meals and really felt at home. Decor was unique and made the stay memorable. Children had a wonderful time playing outside, watching movies in the media room and roasting marshmallows. They didn't want to leave! Really a fun stay.

    Bracha2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Emory's place is big and beautiful with lots of room for a everyone to spread out. My friends and I were there over Thanksgiving (3 adults and 2 kids) The kitchen has EVERYTHING you can think of for cooking ( a great stove, KitchenAid, food processor, great cookware and more) Lots of space, so much fun to cook in. The house is styled beautifully with antiques, art and mid century pieces, as well as gorgeous antique rugs stylish but comfortable. That said, if you have children, the house rules are a bit restrictive and you may spend a lot time enforcing rules with young ones (no food or drink on couch in main space). There's a Media Room on the ground floor but if you want to watch TV as a family, you all have to be down there, which if fine but it feels separate. I imagine being at Emory's in the summertime would be pretty magical, because that pool looks AMAZING and I want to come back! The property the house is on is STUNNING and the Stockport Creek which runs in front of it is so gorgeous, you can gaze at it for hours, so who needs a TV anyway? Last of all, the proximity of the house to Hudson is so convenient, you really have it all, a stylish "Country House" experience and fabulous Hudson just 10 mins away.

    Cynthia2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Emory’s house was amazing. Perfectly situated on the banks of the river, and a quick 10 minute drive to Hudson. Plenty of amenities available and the house was clean. Would recommend.

    Jack2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place is clean, stylish, and nice location. Had a very nice stay! Maybe not the best for little kids (lots of rugs that are not super friendly for kids). Also the owner leaves their stuff in the house so it’s a little weird to have stuff in the pantry/bar that you can see but can’t touch.

    Moeun2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Emory’s house is a magical space to gather friends and family. It’s private and quiet yet only a short drive to town. We would definitely stay again!

    Kate2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience and a great stay at the house. Lovely location and thoughtful amenities.

    Beau2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely home on a beautiful property! Convenient to great dining and shopping in Hudson, but also a great place to relax, swim, and enjoy the nice river view.

    Marisa2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful home. The layout, the views, the decor, and the location were all perfect. This house is extremely clean and full of books and magazines to enjoy. We felt immediately at home and had a fantastic and comfortable stay. We highly recommend Emory's place in Hudson and we would book again.

Athens is a beautiful historic riverfront town with lots to offer. You are sure to love its friendly atmosphere. Everything is within walking distance for your convenience.
  • Lawrence's place is clean and comfortable. Sitting in the kitchen, you'll feel like you are on a riverboat with water on all sides, it's a beautiful view.

    Mary2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Full disclosure, I've known and respected Lawrence (aka Ding, we all had nicknames) for nearly 60 years, even though I haven't resided in Athens for the last 45. For me, Athens is a magical little town on a magical river, the mighty Hudson. Ding's AirBnB just happens to be a perfect place for a "base camp" if you want to explore the area or just hang out. Yes, it started life as a mobile home but it's obviously been upgraded and turned into an extremely comfortable dwelling. It's clean and very well kept, parking is ample and easy, beds & living room are comfortable and access to Athens is just a step out the door. The BEST part for us at Ding's Place; the kitchen seems to hover right over the river, our coffee time lasted longer than normal because we just sat & watched the river flow. The only way you could possibly get closer to the water would be by hopping on a boat or diving in. Athens is a true upstate river town, small and proud, with almost no change in population in the last 100 years, see the Wiki link below. The region is loaded with history as well, Frederic Church's Olana is across the river right at the other end of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and Woodstock is 25 miles away. Athens is walkable and unbelievably quiet, with a PILE of Victorian houses ESPECIALLY on tree lined South Franklin Street, go to Google maps street view for a virtual tour then reserve Ding's place. You will not be disappointed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athens_(village),_New_York

    Cyrus2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Like a cottage on the Cape. Everything was perfect and our host Lawrence could not have be nicer.

  • Ding’s house was quite clean and we found it to be very comfortable. It’s a peaceful spot and such a joy to be able to look out at the river. The “neighbors” at the marina were very friendly and helpful. Wendy

Beautiful, romantic, serenely quiet, fully-furnished, sun-drenched house ten minutes from Hudson, New York. Two working fireplaces, cable television, huge wrap-around porch, garden, and barbecue. Located near great restaurants, shops, antique stores, art galleries, hiking trails, and historical landmarks. House has been featured in national magazines in style shoots.
Quiet, country living--the house is across from a creek.
  • Richard's home is a true gem. I couldn't have imagined a cozier and more beautiful space to spend NYE with friends and my pup. We spent our nights cooking and sitting by the fire. Easy to sleep 6 if you need (and people are willing to crash on couches) but note that there is one bathroom (we didn't check out the basement where there is apparently another working toilet). Super close to town too! Would love to come to Richard's again.

    Bela2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous house! It is open and spacious, yet cozy. Rustic but elegant. We enjoyed the rich, but uncluttered artistic aesthetic inside the house and through the floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors to the garden. There is the romance of a 19th century period home, but with all the modern comforts of the 21st century. Wonderful. Perfectly clean and with all amenities provided. Awesome host. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

    Kristin2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely beautiful house! Beautiful tall windows and tastefully furnished. My partner and I loved the layout as it's rare to find a large nice space that hasn't been subdivided into smaller bedrooms. The bedroom and powder room were lovely. The kitchen was small but we did not really cook as there were too many great restaurants in Hudson to try! The drive is about 10-15 minutes and totally manageable. Richard was super quick to respond and I'd definitely recommend him as a host and his house as a destination!

    Bridget2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The property is beautiful, and the location great - close to access town and nature/hikes. We loved hanging out in the back yard and porch with our dogs, visiting waterfalls, and shopping and dinning in town.

    Jo Anne2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely getaway!

    Sean2019-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Richard’s house during a cold President’s Day weekend and saw 4 inches of snow (the driveway was quickly plowed the next morning). The fireplace was lovely and we stayed warm, comfortable and relaxed. It’s an easy drive into Hudson for great food and shopping. I’d love to go back and explore more when it’s a little warmer, but it was a great winter weekend getaway.

    Jessie2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Richard was super responsive and helpful! The house is super charming, close to town, and a perfect weekend getaway. Very clean + quick to respond to any questions - would highy recommend!

  • Richard’s home is beautiful and comfortable and accurately advertised. It is conveniently located approximately 10 minutes from town. We especially enjoyed the working fireplaces and the peaceful surrounding property. The kitchen was equipped for what we needed (snacks and breakfasts) and his book collection was impressive. Richard was friendly and easy to communicate with - ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. This was our first trip to Hudson and it well exceeded expectations. The restaurants are excellent. We look forward to visiting again soon.

This light filled apartment is located just three blocks from Warren Street's restaurants and galleries. Originally built in the 1920's, this recently renovated apartment features 2BR, 1BA, and a full kitchen.
You can see the Catskills on a clear day from the front bay window of this large second floor apartment. There are two bedrooms, each sleep two guests. There is a comfortable sofa bed in the living room which sleeps two, and guests can close that room off for privacy. Full kitchen with basic necessities. Drip coffee maker, French press, toaster, stove, pots and pans, oven and fridge. If you plan to do some cooking you should bring any food items you'll need as we don't keep them stocked. Sorry, the backyard is not for guest use.
Hudson has some of the best farm to table food in the northeast, which is what brought us here. Have dinner at Backbar (Zak Pelaccio's new spot), drinks at Or, and lattes at Moto.
  • The space is perfectly cute we couldn’t have asked for more. Check in and check out is person-less and seamless with very minimal and clear instructions. It’s a short lovely walk into town and we went on morning jogs to a beautiful nature walk that Annabel recommended. Also Hudson is a gem.

    Dean2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • About a 5-10 minute walk to the Main Street. The place was very spacious and cute. Very comfortable. Favorite surprise: The record player! We went out and bought an album from the record store (7 min walk)

  • My girl and I were so happy on this house. We said to ourselves that when we will have all, something like this would be enough!

    Roberto2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I was here for a week during February. My whole purpose was to work on my book and man! was this space terrific for that. I had a little room at the front with a desk and a lamp and I was really able to focus in there. Bedroom was clean and simple and beds comfortable, just the kind of room to really sleep good in. The kitchen is spacious and I had all that I needed. I was worried I would be cold but there was ample heat, especially when I realized if I closed the two doors to the entrance hall it made a huge difference in keeping the living room and dining room warm. Neighbors were peaceful and quiet. Bathroom is clean and plenty of hot water, nice toiletries and natural light.

  • Great place very well located and great tips. Thanks Annabel!

    Jonathan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Annabel’s space was magnificent. Great location- walking distance to main area of Hudson. House is full of amenities. We wanted a place to go to and be able to chill and relax from the city and that is definitely what we got. Felt very much at home and ended up not wanting to leave. We will be back if ever in the area.

A newly renovated space about 7 minutes drive north of downtown Hudson. Close to everything the town has to offer, but surrounded by 10+ acres of beautiful woods, which makes for a nice escape from city life. The house is a short walk to a large nature preserve on the Hudson River. Secluded, quiet, and scenic in any season of the year. We were featured in Architectural Digest's "High Design Airbnb Rentals We'd Love to Call Home" - http://bit.ly/2NJrU5w
The guest house is newly renovated within the former attached garage. The design is inspired by our love of LA's Case Study houses. Warm hardwood floors, high ceilings, large windows, upgraded insulation, heat/air conditioning, and a fully equipped kitchen were added to convert the space into a comfortable studio apartment for visitors.
The house is close to downtown but surrounded by woods, which makes it feel much more like a secluded getaway. A short walk to a 700+ acre nature preserve on the Hudson River. At the end of a dead-end street of mid-century ranch homes. Deer and other wildlife frequent the yard. We have a fenced-in backyard great for dogs.
  • Beautifully designed space in a very creative town. Highly recommend

    Nicholas2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy little spot near Warren Street in Hudson but far enough away to have a quiet stay. Best if you bring a car, but we were able to use ride share apps if we scheduled in advance.

    Luther2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Conor and Allison’s guest house is such a gem and a great place to stay while visiting Hudson. It’s only 7mim by car to town, but far enough you feel like you’re staying in the woods. We spent a week there this winter and saw many birds and deer around the property. Exactly as pictured, the guest house itself is a super stylish recently-built studio, spotless clean and thoughtfully designed with some vintage furniture pieces. There’s a picnic table just outside in the front yard, though it was too cold for us to spend much time sitting out and exploring the surrounding areas. Temp was Nest controlled, so you could set to your liking which was great. We were working remotely and the wifi was pretty great, except by some occasional spotty moments which prob normal given location. There are 2 skylights in ceiling, so thought it’s pitch dark at night, it gets bright early (didn’t bother us, but worth mentioning). Bed and linens were super comfy, but what I loved the most was how quiet it was to sleep at night. You wouldn’t hear a thing, which def added to the relaxing vibe of the space. Bathroom was great too, with a view into the woods and high-quality toiletries. Overall great experience and hosts were quick to communicate. Would def come back again!

  • Beautiful design and thoughtful touches! Great location and super clean space. Would definitely stay again!

    Ashley2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space was cozy with artistic modern decor. There was a loft space that was being worked on. Wish we could've seen it finished. Dog friendly. Enclosed backyard was big enough for our pups to run around in. The fridge was a little small, but we ate out most of the time. Close to town and there's plenty to do. They answered questions right away, and were very pleasant.

    Julie2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very good place! We had a peefect stay at Allison and Conor's place. Definately recommend to everyone. Close to everything we need for staying there during the long weekend. Allison and Cornor response within a minute. Our puppy also found a large fenced yard to play in.

  • Paul’s place was great! The bed was really comfortable, and Paul made us breakfast both mornings which was really nice and delicious (he even accommodated our vegetarian diets!) It’s close to town by car, and he gave lots of advice for local things to check out. Great value and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice affordable place to stay with a great host!

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Paul and Francesca were very warm and welcoming. Paul went out of his way to accommodate my dog, Gia. He spent hours chillin' with her, which was a real godsend. Gia also got to hang with Francesca's dog, Grumby (?not sure if I spelled that right?) who is pretty awesome. Paul whipped up a veggie breakfast for me since I don't eat eggs or meat....he's clearly a foodie, and the presentation was A+. I would definitely recommend this for anyone traveling solo or with pets.

    Padmini2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s place is fine. It is fairly priced and convenient. Paul is extremely gracious and his home is charming. He even offers to cook breakfast! Do yourself a favor and engage Paul in conversation ! He is very interesting with lots of life experiences. I would stay there again

    Mary Jo2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s hospitality was top notch! His commitment to providing quality service for your stay was a highlight unmatched by other Airbnb hosts. The room itself is very simple. It’s a bed, a chair, a nightstand. Perfect if you are really just looking for a place to sleep at night. I will say the bed is amazing!! Which can be the downfall of many Airbnb experiences for me. Paul was also happy to whip up an incredible breakfast feast both mornings we were there, accommodating our vegetarian diet. The love put into our food made the whole experience unforgettable. Paul is hoping to open his own bed and breakfast some day, and it shows in his culinary prowess. Breakfast and the bed itself were the highlights. Perfect for what we needed for a two night stay! The location is also just a few min drive to the Main Street of Hudson. Very convenient! Note: he does have many dogs. They can be a bit noisy in the backyard. If you are a light sleeper, this may be of issue. I slept through the night, but my partner woke up a couple times the first evening there. The next night he slept with ear plugs. He didn’t mind and overall this was very minor for us. We will be coming back next time we’re in Hudson :)

    Serena2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Good location, quick and easy communication with Paul when arriving and staying at the place. Great tips about local restaurants and bars. Over all a great experience!

    Elsa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Through the front door into a different world. Beautiful rooms, decor, antiques, art, and great conversations with Paul and his wife. He does cook up an amazing breakfast: guaranteed to have the best scrambled eggs ever (á la Julia!). We had a great visit there.

    Bob2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was a very friendly host. He loves to cook and insisted on making me breakfast and coffee each morning. They both lead interesting lives and I enjoyed their company as well as the company of their animals. Great value and a relaxing stay.

Private Room / Private Entrance / Private Bathroom - full shower Ground Floor Studio Amenities: Mini-Fridge, Coffee-maker/coffee, etc. included, Microwave, Toaster oven, Lock/safe, SmartTV (Hulu and Netflix), Wifi, COOKIES! Up-and-coming Hudson street....two short blocks to center of town. PET-FRIENDLY! Drag queen owned and operated, and lives on premise. This space is registered with the City of Hudson License Number 151, PIDN: L10040. A 4% Lodging Tax is included in your room rate.
Private Entrance, Private Full Bath within walking distance to all of Hudson! Queen-sized bed. The room is approximately 15' x 18'. This is a BUDGET space in the TRANSITIONAL part of town - clean and comfortable and a short two-block walk to all that Hudson has to offer - Club Helsinki, The Maker, Or Bar, coffee shops, restaurants - all within a five minute walk. This is a space for people who enjoy their privacy - with a private entrance and a private bath. If you need anything, text me, I live upstairs with my two pups. The space is located on State Street between 3rd and 4th, around the corner from Club Helsinki and a stone's throw to Warren Street. Use the park two doors down to walk to the staircase and down to Warren Street - two short blocks, a few minutes away. The "history" of the space: During the Revolutionary War, the British attacked Nantucket and stole the whale oil. The Quaker whalers were like, 'Forget this, we're outta here!' They bought land in upstate New York and figured, 'Hey, we're traveling thousands of miles on the ocean getting these whales, what's another hundred miles up he Hudson River?' It's a whaling town in upstate New York, and that's why you'll see whales on the signs. They picked up everything and moved and founded Hudson - including (and this is debatable) their HOUSES!! (At least their STYLE of Nantucket/Cape Cod box houses with a second floor of eyebrow windows.) This house is called a "floater", floating over on a whale boat from Nantucket. It's around 200 years old. You're staying in the old kitchen (heat rises to warm the rest of the house) and you'll find a bread oven behind the latched panel. Totally renovated in 2015. Radiant heat coils are under the cement floor. Hot Water on-demand. Original wood panels and new bathroom. Original stairs showing 200 years of wear and tear. Enjoy!
State Street is an up-and-coming Hudson street, similar to what most of Hudson was like about fifteen years ago, prior to all the renovations. I feel safe walking around this neighborhood, it's a small town. This is a simple, comfortable space. There's a little park two doors down that will take you to the staircase and two short blocks to the middle of Warren Street and the Opera House, making it an ideal central location. Shop up and down beautiful Warren Street - go out to Club Helsinki around the corner! Most of Hudson is within walking distance - restaurants, bars, shops! There are at least a half-dozen restaurants within a two block radius and many more in the rest of town.
  • Trixie’s place is perfect for one person or a couple. It’s beautifully furnished, unique, cozy, well equipped, and conveniently located for walking around town or driving further afield. Trixie is also a phenomenal host.

  • I absolutely loved my stay. The place was VERY clean and Rich was very responsive and happy to answer any questions. When confirming my stay I got a whole bunch of great tips for stuff to do or see around town. The location is hard to beat too. Within walking distance of everything and despite some traffic noise it gets real quite in the evening/night. I also love how the floor is kept so warm so walking around in the morning is great. The big comfortable bed is also very clean, plenty of room for two or stretch out and enjoy. Fridge, microwave and coffee is available and the best part was the fresh cookies waiting for me when I got in... They were heavenly! I found Hudson to be a great little town and will visit again, I can only hope to stay here again

  • I highly recommend staying at Rich/Trixie's place during your stay in Hudson, NY. Always communicated with me quickly if there were any issues and gave great tips/recommendations for places to eat. The studio accommodation is perfect for solo travelers (or a duo). Everything was clean and tidy and well designed ( basically, the description above is 100% accurate). Very close (10-15 minute walk) to the Amtrak Station and less than 5 minutes away from Warren Street, the main street with all the shops and restaurants. When I come back to Hudson, I will definitely stay at Rich/Trixie's again! Also, the cookies were SO GOOD.

A first floor 1,200 sqft apartment on a quiet street just blocks away from the hustle & bustle of Warren Street (Hudson’s main drag). You’ll find a sunny & large fenced in backyard, a comfortable & light filled sitting room, a spacious & well equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, one bath & a large central dining room. You’ll love the claw foot soaking tub & the record player. Bedrooms have comfortable queen beds (we get rave reviews on our mattresses!) & large closets. A 4-5 minute walk to Warren.
Guests have access to the entire apartment, front porch, and back yard. The apartment consists of one bathroom, two bedrooms, a large kitchen (great for cooking!), a dining room and a family room.
We are a quick walk to Warren St, the Main Street with shops and restaurants, at the top of town. Our street is a residential one-way and very quiet and private.
  • Thank you to Annabel in her gorgeous Hudson space! This exceeded our expectations as we are already looking to return! This is such a beautiful space that is unique. It’s close to downtown Hudson and easily accessible to restaurants and popular attractions. Perfect for a weekend getaway! Such a clean and attractive space.

    Brendan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We could not have been happier staying at Annabel's this past weekend - the place looks even better than the photos and is incredibly spacious. Annabel left wonderful recommendations for us, which was greatly appreciated. Not only does the apartment have gorgeous furniture and decor, but the essentials are all there - hot water and reliable heat, amazing sound system, and great wifi. Will definitely recommend to all of our friends!

    Joey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! A short walk to Warren St and the many restaurants and shops Hudson has to offer. Really enjoyed my stay. The space has all the essentials, which make it an ideal spot to either be low key and cook, or use as a base to see the area. Annabel was very responsive, and provided an excellent list of recommendations for Hudson. Hope to visit again soon!

    Asher2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our 2-day stay for Valentine’s day went just as expected. Annabel’s place is cozy, and a pleasure to come back to after being out and about in Hudson and the surrounding communities. We especially enjoyed driving to Rodgers Book Barn in Hillsdale for an eclectic book-browsing and buying experience. It’s also an easy walk to Warren Street, where there are plenty of restaurants, galleries and antique stores to shop locally. Also, close by are two places worth mentioning: Helsinski Hudson, where we had a great Valentine’s Day dinner; and, Time & Space Limited (TSL), a unique art space with a small theatre. I’m into music, so I was happy playing the vintage vinyl records, while my partner enjoyed her sauna bubble bath. If you’re exploring the Hudson Valley, I would definitely recommend Annabel’s place for its comfort and convenience.

  • Annabel’s apartment had beautiful decorative touches. It is particularly clean and spacious. We enjoyed walking to the main strip in under 5 mins. Had a very relaxing stay!

    Sara2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful, stylish home and immediately sends one into a restful state of mind. The location is just fine -- a brief walk to all the things you need. The mattresses are firm (the way I like it) and very comfortable. Lovely place to stay.

  • Beautifully clean stay with cute touches, wonderful kitchen and dining room and comfy beds.

Modern Poolside suite with a clean and simple mid-century vibe. It has one Queen size mattress bed, lounge area, one private bathroom and a gas grill. The suite also has its own private entrance. The property is situated 15 miles from downtown Hudson. An historic city known for it's antique shops, great farm to table restaurants and music at club Helsinki. We are less than 5 minutes from the Hudson river for canoe & kayaking and the in-ground pool is open for the season. We have 2 kayaks.
Poolside Suite The nicest thing about this house is it's location next to two cattle farms. This makes for nice walks along rolling pastures. In the summer and early fall the pool is open for swimming and sun bathing. And there is a modest vegetable garden with organic produce. The interior is 500 square feet open space with modern furniture. Brand new bathroom.
We are located in the town of Stockport 15 miles from downtown Hudson. The neighborhood is rural farm land in a country setting. Our town does not have a postoffice therefore the mailing address and GPS show Hudson as the location.

Rustle up recipes in a restored, 100%-authentic Art-Deco-era kitchen, complete with decorative antique stove. Sit out on the porch rocker. Play the piano next to a gas-burning stove before drinks, round the campfire in the tree-lined fenced-in garden. Take a stroll down to the end of the street and walk along the mighty Hudson river.
Of note: Antique stove not permitted for use. Two electric burners are available for your use. -Restroom located on 1st floor. Campfire: You will need to provide your own wood and keep the fire low (below the stone ring) as we are in a residential area. Our kitchen is 100% authentic Deco era, minus the vaulted ceiling. After being mistreated for many years, we put back all of the detail that had been taken. Each door, molding, appliance, piece of hardware was obsessed over. Our home still has a ways to go, needing an exterior painting and finishing in the closets. We have come very far, please overlook the few "To-Do-List" items. Enjoy!
Set on a residential street, this 1880s Queen Ann Victorian is a 20-minute drive from the Hudson NY Amtrak station and 2hrs 20min drive from NYC. Stroll in the park and launch boats into the Hudson river, right at the end of the street. Wander among timeless brick buildings, stopping off at coffee shops and restaurants.
  • This is such a charming place that feels so cozy the moment you walk in. The attention to detail is amazing and makes you want to stay longer than you planned.

    Arien2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute house, very comfortably slept 5 of us and was only a 2.5 hour drive from the city. Thoughtfully designed and very easy communication with the hosts!

    Jasmin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Whitney & Isaak’s beautiful home in the tiny town of Coxsackie was perfect for the four of us to escape the city and wind down upstate over New Year’s Eve. The house itself is well appointed, with more than you need for a comfortable stay. The property is well located close to all you could need in Coxsackie, and a short drive away from other towns like Athens and Catskill. The character features and furnishings really add to the experience, with every room beautifully and thoughtfully presented. Little touches like a welcome bottle of wine and detailed tips on exploring the area made this an excellent stay. Definitely recommend.

    Tom2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • My guests and I had a lovely weekend getaway at Whitey & Isaak’s cozy home! The house was decorated beautifully and included all amenities needed (we especially loved using the projector). The only downside of the house is that it made a lot of noises at night (due to heating/water system) so it was a bit hard to sleep, however I completely understand why since the house is on the older side. Put on some music to fall asleep and you’re good to go! Whitney & Isaak were quick to respond and were very accommodating. We hope to return soon!

    Su2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The space was beautiful and comfortable. Whitney and Isaak were great hosts. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful holiday at their house.

    Adrienne2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous house with lots of character. My parents and I had a wonderful time at such a unique house.

    Brian2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely wonderful and is decorated with such a nice touch, that will leave you in awe. The decor is tasteful and the additions of some modern touches such as Google Home and a projector to enjoy some movies and tv shows on really make you to just soak up the entire home. We ate at Crossroads Brewing Company and Bonfiglio & Bread and were just blown away by the food. I completely recommend this place as a lovely getaway from NYC!

    Kareem2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The home was perfect. A cute hide away; antique character mixed with modern design. Gorgeous high ceilings and bright large windows. The bathroom was especially luxurious featuring a large, refinished stand-up shower with antique door and google home available to play your favorite tunes as you get ready. All the amenities needed for a relaxing get away. The The general store in town is just a quick walk down the road and just past it, beautiful views of the Hudson River at a small park. The convenient location made it easy to commute to Hudson as well as a few other quaint towns in the surrounding area. Check-in and out was super easy. Whitney and Isaak were responsive and accommodating. They left a helpful guide to the house and surrounding area. They've truly thought of everything. They even left a bottle wine for us to enjoy. Would definitely book again!

My place is close to Warren Street , restaurants , cafes , bars and shops. You’ll love my place because though close to all of the action , it's a country hideaway with a treehouse- like large, terrace. In this full floor-thru apartment of a unattached townhouse there is a ceiling fan in every room which adds to the naturally breezy cross ventilation . Air , light and sweet views from all directions ! Exclusively "to let", like a fine hotel suite... and then some. Added AC in bedroom 7/22 . Pets are welcome for a $25 fee. Feels like and is furnished like an airy counrty home . Clean and white with every consideration for comfort.
  • Great space, very convenient to everything in Hudson!

  • Valerie’s place is charming, spacious, light-filled and toasty in the winter. It was perfectly located for exploring Hudson. Valerie was a wonderful host, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

    Janet2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I were getting away for a quick few days, hoping to have a place to decompress from our everyday grinds without getting too bored. Valerie's place was great for this! It was super homey and comfortable to spend time relaxing in (we spent a lot of time in the cute reading nook by the window), but it was also a quick walk to all sorts of shops, coffee spots and restaurants for when we felt like getting out. We were really happy with our stay.

    Adjua2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cutest place in Hudson to stay! Val is a great host and very responsive. Super easy check-in process, comfortable and clean and beautifully decorated apartment. Short walk to Warren St to access vintage stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Sink into the deep tub of the spa-like bathroom of this renovated home, originally a farmhouse dating from 1842. In-home massage and yoga are also available. Cook in the new chef's kitchen, and on the BBQ with gas fire pit on the patio outside.
This completely remodeled home has gorgeous exposed whitewashed ceilings, high end birch floors and designer elements throughout. The downstairs has a large living room with a 55 inch TV with Netflix, Amazon TV and HBO and chrome cast, as well as an open concept dining room/kitchen and a half bath and laundry room. We say it can sleep 10 people, but note that there is 1 full bathroom and 1 half bath and there are 4 bedrooms. So it may be more comfortable to have 10 people if some of the people in your party are children. Upstairs you'll find four bedrooms, all with large closets. The bright and sunny master bedroom has a king bed with a memory foam mattress with a workspace and room to do some morning yoga! Or if you have a larger party, we can put a double mattress on the floor of this room if you'd like. Off the master (but also with it's own hallway entrance) is The Moroccan Room - a wonderfully cozy room with a double bed - perfect for curling up with a book, or for children to play and jump in. The bathroom has an oversized tub and luxury rain shower. The Deck Room has a queen bed, also with a memory foam mattress. The shining feature of this room are double french doors that open up to a private 150 SF deck complete with 2 lounge chairs. The Double Room has a full sized mattress and an extra large closet. Bright luxury linens warm up this wonderful room!
Hudson has been called “The Trendiest Town in New York State" by Conde Naste Traveller. It delivers a small-town vibe with the comforts of a lively city. The street itself is busy, with many nearby restaurants and stores to choose from.

  • We had a lovely weekend staying in Amanda & Chris’s home. The home was renovated, modern, and very comfortable. We were a group of 9 and they were accommodating by setting up an air mattress for our 9th person. Warren street was a quick walk away with tons of shops and restaurants.

  • What a lovely city escape for the weekend in Amanda and Chris’s cozy home! Tucked away, while still remaining a stones throw on foot to all of the fabulous food and art Hudson has to offer, their home is nothing short of perfect. When we got rained out on Saturday, no one in our group was disappointed since we had such a lovely place to spend the day. We appreciated all of the special design touches and how well maintained and clean everything was. Looking forward to another visit soon!

Come enjoy village life right in the middle of this friendly and vibrant, yet quiet community in your own charmingly appointed 3 room apartment. Newly updated eat in kitchen, sitting/TV room, bath with shower, and a bedroom flooded with morning sun.
Enjoy all that the Hudson Valley and the Catskills have to offer. Come ski Hunter and Windham or there are boating and paddling opportunities. Go antiquing, or explore the local history. Art and music abound. The Thomas Cole House, founder of the Hudson Valley School of Art, is minutes away in Catskill. Olana is right across the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. If sculpture is your passion, Opus 40 in Saugerties is not to be missed. If a tour of the Hudson Valley craft breweries is on the agenda, be sure not to miss Athens own Crossroads Brewery.
Athens is a quiet, residential village with a strong community. There are a number of busy days though out the year when we pull out all the stops, but most of the time it is restful and low key. If you are looking for excitement or a "touristy town" Athens might not be your cup of tea. But if you are looking for somewhere "off the beaten path" to unwind, come check us out.
  • Spotlessly clean, which is most important. A lot of care, thoughtful touches, and hard work have been put into the apartment. Kitchen was well stocked.

  • This is a delightful little apartment that was very cozy and comfortable. Much planning has gone into all the amenities, tips and extra considerations that Diane provides. Any information a guest needs has been anticipated and provided. Well done, Diane. Thank you.

    Edna2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • My mom and I stayed at Diane's place for a weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday and enjoy autumn foliage. This apartment is AMAZING! It is nicely decorated, clean, spacious and quite. Great peaceful view from the kitchen and the blue bedroom. Coffee, tea, fruit, milk, juice and yogurt was available upon chicken. Beautiful scenic drive to the Hunter mountain is about 45 min and oh so worth it. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

    Valeriya2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! Super cute place, and very clean. She even left yogurt and fruit in the kitchen, and made everything easily accessible. Will recommend to anyone visiting the upstate area.

  • Between the comfort of the bed and the room-darkening shades, I slept better than I have for months! The kitchen was beautiful and very well appointed, and I was overjoyed to find milk in the fridge when I arrived. The local menus were a nice touch and helped me pick out a couple of great spots for meals. And it was super clean and tidy!

    Pamela2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Diane's place is great. It is an old Victorian and the apartment is lovely. Summon your inner seafarer at this cheery home with nautical inspired decor. The residence showcases original design features, wood flooring, tasteful furnishings, and a backyard patio with a hammock, BBQ, and dining space.
Legend has it that this is an old Cape Cod house that was brought to Hudson when the whaling industry began to flourish. So we dubbed the upper apartment "Captain's Quarters" and had boatloads of fun bringing its nautical theme to life. A stylish master bedroom is decorated in soothing, seafaring tones of blue, and the bonus room with XL twin mattress gives you extra room for little ones or extra guests. The adjacent bathroom has both a shower and a claw-foot tub is perfect for luxuriating with a good book or a glass of wine. The apartment is comfortable and private, with top-notch finishes throughout, luxe linens, and a fully stocked kitchen perfect for whipping up a gourmet meal. Wander into the gorgeous garden and catch sight of the many different birds that pass through, or walk three blocks to the nearby Warren Street to enjoy lunch at one of many restaurants before you amble through shops ranging from antique sellers to organic toy stores to boutique perfumeries.
The property is just 3 blocks from Warren Street, the heart of historical Hudson. There are a number of restaurants, shops, and much more to discover along its picturesque streets.
  • Great place for a few nights in Hudson. Julia and Juan were super flexible with our check-out time and were great at communicating. The only downside was the mattress in the main bedroom - it awkwardly curved in the middle and my fiancé and I didn't sleep great. Otherwise, we had everything we needed!

  • We had a lovely stay at this apartment for a weekend trip to Hudson. Everything was exactly as described! The apartment was thoughtfully decorated, and we were genuinely impressed by the consistent aesthetic throughout all the rooms. You could definitely tell a lot of time and care went into the design! On a practical note, everything was very comfortable and worked perfectly. We especially appreciated the tv having a fire stick so that we were able to log into our netflix and amazon accounts for some laid back streaming in the evenings. The check-in/check-out process was seamless, and the location was perfect for our needs -- a 10-15 minute walk to all the restaurants, bars, and shops on Warren Street, as well as the Amtrak station. Overall, a great stay and would definitely recommend!

  • Tom and Cathy were excellent hosts providing detailed instructions, giving great tips on local activities, and making sure we were comfortable. They were friendly and very responsive to all my questions. The home itself was different than any place I’ve stayed in before and provided a refreshing experience. We felt comfortable and were excited to wake up each morning and open our windows to view the beautiful creek. The town, Hudson, was close enough that we could drive there in 10 minutes or less, but far enough where we were still in a more nature-like environment.

    Aaron2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and Cathy were super nice and welcoming! We loved the fresh eggs and loved being able to meet their pet Hawk and farm animals! The house was super clean and was a beautiful spot to stay with beautiful views! We loved being able to use the kayaks! Great time! Will definitely be back!

  • This place is great! I wasn’t completely sure what to expect but the house is spacious, welcoming and clean. It was a very house meets cabin feel with lots of windows and a great enclosed porch. We spent a lot of time at the fire pit and loved using the kayaks. It was quite an escape to sit there and watch the creek. The neighbors are friendly, which is good because it’s a small gravel road to the house where you are winding through houses but the property itself feels very private. We definitely hope to be back soon.

Conveniently located near the town of Hudson as well as lots of good places to get out into nature. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. Great hosts, great home, great location, great everything.

  • Love the place and it was wonderful for the dogs. Tom and Caity were very helpful when we arrived and made us feel welcome. All amenities that are needed were available. But the best for us was the nature around us, the peace and quite and the relaxed atmosphere. And the provided kayaks and safety vests gave us the opportunity to experience the creek and water even more. Cant wait to come back. The house is spacious and clean and has everything you need. Nicely decorated and nice backyard furniture for time outside.

    Gaby2019-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful surprise to discover this secluded spot so close to nature. Our early morning kayak right out the front door was a delight. The house is clean and has everything you need. We chose to cook our meals though restaurants were close by and fired up the grill to eat outside by the creek. House has everything you need. Fresh eggs and honey from their hives was a bonus! Great recommendations on farm-stand and local hikes. Can't wait to come back.

This beautiful *completely renovated* second floor in an 1865 farm house will invite you with its open space, original craftsmanship and convenience to downtown Hudson (two blocks from Warren Street and all the trendy restaurants and antique shops), as well as a large outdoor balcony with dining table and chairs to enjoy the most peaceful views. The balcony is in my opinion the most relaxing spot in the entire house ready to take in the quiet mornings, lazy afternoons or gorgeous sunsets.
Brand new kitchen. Brand new bathroom. Queen size bed. Wall-to-wall bookshelves in a dreamy Gothic library. Original moldings, hardwood floors. Outdoor balcony with table and chairs. Clean, cozy, perfect for a week or weekend getaway.
Since you are literally two blocks from Warren Street, be sure to check out: Moto, for the best coffee; Cascades, for the best lunch sandwiches; Talbott and Arding for the upscale cheese, meats and lunch specials; as well as an array of bars, restaurants and shops. Further up Warren is my favorite restaurant: Hudson Food Studio.
  • Reading the spines of the books makes you feel part of a community. Especially recommend to people who like to read, write, draw. It was great to have a desk in the bedroom. There are movies, events, and readings at TSL nearby.

    Lulu2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Tracy’s townhome! Everything about the townhome was exactly as pictured and advertised. It was a great balance between old school and updated. Parking was easy (and free!). The townhome was conveniently located to downtown and the big box stores like Walmart and shoprite. Tracy’s list of suggested restaurants and information about the area came in handy many times! It was the perfect weekend getaway location- we can’t wait to go back!

  • Spent the weekend in Hudson and Tracy’s home was perfect for the getaway. The bed was so comfortable, we had a hard time getting up in the mornings! Appreciated the coffee and sparkling water, nice touches in the bathroom as well, to help make you feel more at home. Super close to many places we ventured out to, it was really convenient albeit slightly off Warren Street. Only a 15 min ride via Uber from the train station and walking distance anywhere on Warren. Would love to stay here again!

The apartment is spacious, bright, peaceful and very private. There is a coded lock, and your own front entry and spacious front porch. Located on a quiet street, just slightly off the beaten path yet within a short walk to all of the best restaurants and shopping Hudson has to offer. A full kitchen will also allow for some chill out time or a family meal if that is more your speed. A beautiful and convenient refuge.
Use the secret garden! Lush tropical and private with a cozy grape vine surrounded patio, and winding garden path overhead, twinkling lights brighten up warm fall evenings. I may be outside on my second floor balcony but curtains and vines keep the two spaces separate.
It’s a peaceful pretty residential neighborhood
  • Had a relaxing stay at Claire’s place for a week. Conveniently located near the center of town, it is in walking distance to many local restaurants and antique stores. The space is very bright and inviting which added to our great vacation! Got a lot of use out of her well equipped kitchen. Claire went above and beyond in responding to any questions we had during the trip. Would recommend highly!

    Timothy2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Check in was easy, the space was beautiful. Claire was lovely and a quick communicator. Loved it

    Nevada2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Claire’s apartment is a great spot for a relaxing weekend out of the city. Plenty of space to relax, a very comfortable bed, and an enjoyable shower/bath combo. Very unique styling set a calm/chill vibe for the weekend. Would definitely come back!

    Sarah2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Claire’s place is lovely, from lots of sunshine to the many unique details in the decor. My friend and I visited in Feb/March and the temperature was comfortable. Claire was communicative and easy to get in touch with. All around an excellent host!

  • We had a lovely stay in this charming apartment! The kitchen especially was our favorite. Everything was clean, and the decorative touches were very tastefully fun. We would come back!

    Kelley2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Claire’s space was easy to find, exactly as shown, and sparkling clean. She also left a list of local restaurants and bars she liked, which was a nice touch. Overall a very enjoyable stay!

    Jenny2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's place is a warm and cozy refuge that is so charmingly decorated unbelievably spacious. The bedding in the master bedroom was very plush (usually bed pillows are less than comfy in most places I've stayed) and warm. Very important to me is a shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Claire's was exceptional. I'll bet it would be lovely to be in her place in all the other seasons and relax in what looks like a lush garden; I was there in winter so missed the opportunity. All in all, Claire's place is a dream and an incredible value. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Stay a long weekend or a full week in our charming 1890's former captain's home in the historic riverfront village of Athens NY, directly across the river from the town of Hudson.
The house sleeps 4 people upstairs in two private bedrooms and 2 more in the living room with a convertible sleeper sofa. There are 2 full baths upstairs -- one is decidedly modern with a state of the art glass shower, while the other hearkens to the house's glory days and features a clawfoot tub with original brass fixtures. Downstairs offers a full cook's kitchen, dining area and living room centered around a Danish Morso wood burning stove -- plus a cozy front porch for your morning coffee and a decked outdoor dining area in the rear, with barbecue. We have the luxury of being situated on a double lot, so we have a large private/fenced garden and we also grow our own herbs and vegetables on our quarter acre. Privacy, comfort & adventures await! The new Sauna is available for an additional fee of $30 a day. Please let us know at the time of the booking if you are planning to use it. It's quite amazing by the way! Walking distance to Athens' restaurants and the riverfront park, and a short drive to the town of Hudson which features great shops and antiques stores, never mind fabulous restaurants and a famous music scene (as illustrated by Rolling Stone magazine just last year!). Skiing, hiking, fishing, and secret swimming-holes are also close by. You are a stone's throw from both culture and outdoor activities. Short transit to both the Berkshires and the Catskills. Other nearby attractions include a nature trail park at the Hudson waterfront just 5 minutes drive, the Olana state historic site, the Thomas Cole house, the Hudson-Chatham Winery, Old Chatham Sheepherding Co., Bard College, FASNY Firefighting museum, Clermont State Park and Spruce Ridge Alpaca Farm. During the season, pick your own apples at Love Apple Orchard; strawberries, raspberries or blueberries at Thompson Finch Farm; or choose from a large selection of local produce Black Horse Farm. Biodynamic produce is available at Hawthorne Valley Farm. There is an Amtrak station in Hudson 15 minutes away.

  • A unique home in a historic town. Squeaky clean, peaceful, and quiet. The sauna and fireplace made it easy to relax after hiking on the beautiful trails only a short drive away.

  • Nice cozy getaway from the city!

    Soeun & Rolando2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house is a DREAM. Cozy living room with a fireplace, lovely sauna, huge bathtub - all perfect for a getaway weekend with a loved one. If coming from NYC, I would recommend taking a car - we tried to rely on Ubers and taxis in the area, which was a bit inconvenient. Sam was incredibly attentive to any and all of our needs the entire time, I cannot recommend this stay enough!

    Ondine2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Really cool “vintage” household with all the basic modern amenities to stay warm and comfortable. House tells its own story with every room you walk in. We took a short trip and didnt get to take full advantage of all our surroundings but we certainly enjoyed disconnecting from distractions for a couple days with our young family and getting to spend more positive times together. Definitely would like to check the place out in late Spring or Fall to really see the beauty of the Hudson.

    Christopher2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous house in a great location that felt secluded and private but was convenient to tons of restaurants and things to do. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Sam's place. It was exactly as described/depicted. There isn't too much happening in Athens but it was a short cab ride into Hudson where there's a lot of great shops and restaurants. The sauna is absolutely amazing and well worth the extra cost! I would definitely stay at Sams place again :)

    Kristen2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this place - a true gem. It is so cozy and perfectly located a quick 20 min drive to Hudson. The home is spacious and can’t recommend the sauna enough. Planning another trip back soon!

  • I visit Hudson a lot, all year, with my 7 year old daughter. We always stay at Suzy's. It's cozy but stylish, and the location is perfect--just a block from the bustle of Warren Street's shopping and restaurants. It's also a great place to stay in the winter if you want to ski; it's short drive to local family resorts Catamount and Butternut and also Hunter Mountain. We love Suzy's house and wouldn't stay anyplace else!

    Hillary2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Happy with our stay.

    Ashley2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • My family of 6 (4 adults and 2 toddlers plus a small dog) stayed at Suzy's place over Thanksgiving weekend. Her place is exactly as described and has everything you need including cookware, plush towels and extremely comfy beds (memory foam!). Two of the 3 rooms have great shades to block out most of the light (huge plus for our toddlers' sleep) and the open floor plan was spacious. Easy check-in, lots of street parking, thoughtful touches of decor, tons of books, smart TV, fast wifi, and of course excellent location for walking distance to everything you need. Suzy was very responsive, accommodating and friendly and we can't wait to come back when it's warmer to take more advantage of the location and the outdoor space! Thanks Suzy!

Located on a large, private lake with sunset views and mountain backdrop, this unique home offers all comforts and amenities to guests. With an all-wood interior, vaulted ceilings, and a fireplace in both rooms this romantic retreat in the trees defines warmth and charm. This three level home, in addition to its bedroom and balcony, includes a large oval deck and a sleeping loft with window and skylight. You're sure to feel at home in this secluded country retreat. Ski slopes half hour away.
Surrounded by trees and natural beauty, west sunsets are seen thru large, glass doors from living room and bedroom - each with their own deck and balcony. A fireplace in both bedroom and living room add warmth and charm as you sit midway up in the tall pines. A row boat sits at the water's edge. This three level home has an all wood interior, wide pine plank floors throughout and high vaulted ceilings. A sleeping loft includes a window and skylight, ideal for a child or third person. The bathroom's sloped ceiling includes a skylight over a claw-footed tub sunk in Mexican paving tiles. Original art and objects along with turn of the century antiques add to the uniqueness of this very original home on the lake. Heat, air conditioning, Internet access and HDTV available. Beautiful in all seasons. Ideal trip at leaf turning time and wonderful for skiers to return to after skiing Hunter and Windham mountains - half hour away. Through renting my house with guests being introduced to the surrounding beauty, several former renters are now property owners with homes in Sleepy Hollow Lake. Located in the old Hudson River town of Athens - little has changed in over two hundred years. Many old, historic houses remain as they were. Both Athens and Coxsackie have charming parks sitting on the Hudson. They offer summer concerts and waterfront dining as the season permits. One steps back in time here and finds things still lovely, still fairly secret, as it nestles in the foothills of the Catskills known as the Hudson Valley.
This romantic retreat is located on a large private, exclusive lake spanning the towns of Athens and Coxsackie, two historic Hudson River towns.

  • Such a unique space! We truly enjoyed the homey feel of this apartment. The occasion we were traveling for was not a happy one, and it was comforting to come “home” at night. Mr. Michael was very accommodating to rent us his space during such uncertain times. Check in and check out were a breeze and communication was excellent!

My house is a row house, on a street of 30 houses continuous with each other, built in 1860 for railroad workers. It is outside the village of Athens, through some woods, a short walk from the Hudson River. It is very quiet and peaceful, a perfect place for a single person or a couple to do a retreat away from busy lives. Perfect for an artist or writer. Open space with a lot of light.
There is a back yard that goes out into an alley that is next to woods. The downstairs of the house is very open and light, kitchen/dining room/living space. Bathroom has aglass shower stall. Bedroom has a double bed, desk, closet with drawers and shelves. Very comfortable.
My neighborhood is very unique. It is a designated historical street. The houses are beautiful and each one is a bit different. A short drive to a fantastic cafe and a brewery in Athens. Close shopping in Catskill and Coxsackie, 15 minute drive. 20 minute drive over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge to Hudson NY.
  • K.J.s home is beautiful and cozy and everything you could want.

    Scott2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • K.J.’s place is super restful, cozy, and in a great location in a quiet wooded area. The house has so many quaint touches, has a kitchen with everything you need, and a lovely gas burning “fireplace”. I went to get work done for the weekend and it was the perfect spot for that.

  • KJ's place is great for an upstate NY getaway. The house feels cozy and historic in a really special way. We loved the extra touches like fresh flowers and a propane fire place. We enjoyed how quaint and quiet the neighborhood and the town of Athens are. And it's super easy to get to Catskill & Hudson. Definitely recommend!

  • We stayed at K.J for thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is lovely, clean and ideal for gateway weekend. K.J offered great local tips and really made us feel welcome in her home. The propane fireplace was ideal after walks nearby. We highly recommend K.J’s home and would definitely stay again!
