Trickers Mill is a 5 storey Grade 2 listed Tower Windmill with its own private courtyard located in the heart of Woodbridge close to the Market Square. The ground and first floors have been converted to provide fabulous accommodation for two people.
You will have a unique experience as there are no other habitable windmills in Woodbridge.
The Mill is just minutes from the Market Square where there are numerous boutique shops, bars, pubs and restaurants. A further stroll down the hill brings you to the bustling Thoroughfare with a further variety of shops, eateries and bars. We love Honey and Harvey for a light lunch and The Table for great evening meals . Walks along the Deben river wall with views of the Tide Mill are also enchanting.
  • Had a fantastic stay at Trickers mill for our anniversary. Great property, very homely and cozy. Felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. Very clean property with grat views over the river. Would highly recommend staying here! Loads of restaurants and shops near by, and having a garage to keep the car in was great. Many thanks for a great stay.

  • The Mill was a great place to book a surprise birthday stay, definitely the wow factor! The accommodation is extremely comfortable, cosy and warm in winter. Thanks to Tessa"s extra touches of bread & milk and pretty flowers to feel right at home. The views from the top floor are well worth seeing if you are happy to ascend the top ladders. Tessa was wonderful to communicate with & offer recommendations as we didn't know the immediate area. Woodbridge is a very pretty town, lovely shops to browse and lots of lanes everywhere to wander and see where it takes you. We would love to return to Woodbridge and the Mill again. Thank you for rescuing and renovating it to share with us!

  • What can you expect from a stay at the mill? Expect to be wowed. It is a truly unique place. Many original features are preserved, whilst having all the comforts modern life needs. If you feel slightly adventurous, be sure to climb the stairs to the top of the mill. Woodbridgeis a nice quaint little town with lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. We had an awesome time in an awesome place. Thanks Tessa! I can honestly recommend a stay here.

  • We had a very special Valentine's weekend at the Mill. It was such a different experience. The place was very clean and to a high spec. Perfect location to access shops and a great restaurant, The Galley, which was 2 minutes walk away. Also walking distance to the Tide Mill. I have recommended the Mill to all my friends. Hope to come back again soon. Thank you for a lovely stay!

  • A wonderful unique experience. We loved staying here and exploring the top of the mill. The space is lovely and very well furnished. We had a delicious lunch at the gastro pub The Unruly Pig and a wonderful experience at the Solebay Fish Company. The seafood here is just out of this world. We loved arriving at this ‘shack’ in the middle of nowhere... I would definitely recommend staying here.

Our charming cottage, just a short drive away from the Suffolk Heritage Coast, sleeps 3 people. Visitors to the White Cottage have their own sitting/dining area, bathroom and 2 bedrooms up their own staircase. Boutique singer/songwriter studio available for hire-please enquire.
The White Cottage is a grade 11 listed dwelling dating back to the 17th Century. The cottage has views across the fields to the front , and a beautiful spacious garden to the rear. The property features open stud work, exposed timbers and a multi fuel stove. We have 2 bedrooms-sleeping 3 people. Although there is no kitchen for guests, a nespresso machine and a supply of coffee pods are provided. We recommend a visit to our very local farm shop cafe for a superb choice of cooked breakfast/brunch/lunch if required. Plates, cutlery, glasses and bottle opener are provided if guests want to bring their own provisions to the cottage,or order a takeaway to be delivered. Guests are also welcome to use the barbeque. An electric cold box is available for guests to chill drinks and food. Off street parking to the front of the cottage is available.
Lower Hacheston is North-East of the village of Wickham Market where there is a full range of facilities and shops, and we are fortunate to have a choice of pubs- just a short drive away, all serving fantastic food. Campsea Ashe has a recommended auction house, and local market on Monday mornings. The market towns of Framlingham and Woodbridge with nearby Sutton Hoo are also easily accessible and provide a wide range of shopping and leisure facilities. The Suffolk Heritage Coast is just a short drive away, and Snape, Aldeburgh, and Orford are all within easy reach.
  • Stylish and cosy cottage. Very clean and comfy and despite the lack of kitchen, a very enjoyable stay! Within 10 minutes of many pubs and other towns and the coffee machine was a nice touch. Would stay again :)

Unique houseboat with stunning river views across to National Trust site, Sutton Hoo. Just a 5 minute walk from Woodbridge's thriving town centre with great pubs, cafés, restaurants, independent shops & cinema. 10 minute walk to train station (90 mins to London). Kitchenette, shower, toilet, sun deck, WiFi, TV/DVD BBQ and free parking available.
Sea Rover is a houseboat with a difference. Located on the River Deben overlooking the historical site, Sutton Hoo. Great for bird-watching, fishing or just gazing out across the river. Just a 5 minute walk into Woodbridge where you will find fabulous pubs, cafés, restaurants, independent shops. and cinema. The boat is bright and spacious, 'a floating studio'. Double sofa bed in the main space and a single on the lower deck, so comfortably sleeps 3. Kitchenette (electric hob, fridge and microwave and grill), shower/toilet, TV, radio and DVD player all on board and a wonderful sun deck. Please take note that as this is a boat the shower is not a power shower and the washroom space is small. Also there are a few steps into the main part of the boat and several steps to the shower/toilet and lower bunk bed. There is a BBQ in the white seat box on the front of the boat and a picnic area next to the mooring. Bikes are also available. Exclusive use of the houseboat and sundeck. Use of the picnic/BBQ area next to the mooring. A welcome and introduction to the boat. We can be contacted by mobile anytime during your stay. An idilic spot with incredible views across the river and just 5 min walk from a fabulous selection of restaurants, pubs, cinema, swimming pool/gym and independent shops. Also just 10 min walk from the train station (90 mins to London). Suffolk's best beaches are just a bus ride away as is the concert hall at Snape for incredible dance, music and festivals. 10 min walk to train station (90 mins to London Liverpool St and 15 mins to Ipswich). Regular bus service to Aldeburgh (seaside town), Snape (concert hall/festivals and independent shops) and Felixstowe (seaside town). Sea Rover is a boat and staying on her is different to being on land. She is very sturdy and doesn't rock about but she will slightly sway when the tide is high. Please take care when getting on and off her when she is floating. As the River Deben is tidal, high tide is every 12 hours and the boat will be floating for 2-3 hours during this time.
An idilic spot with incredible views across the river to the National Trust's historical site, Sutton Hoo. • Jo was brilliant she went over and above for us. The boat was fun and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Woodbridge is beautiful, people friendly and helpful. The boat is well equipped and very clean. Jo made sure we were happy with everything and was on hand if we needed anything. Would definitely 100 percent recommend.

    Sandra2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jo’s place is quirky, has everything you need for a tranquil and restorative break. Beautiful walks along the river, good pubs and cafes a stroll away. Soooo quiet which was truly appreciated. Don’t expect 5* mattresses - it’s a different experience to hotel stays but has so much more to offer.

    Sue2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing. Jo was so helpful and thoughtful, she gave us some lovely recommendations of things todo and checked in on us but was not intrusive at all. The location and views were stunning and the boat itself was cosy and homely. The boat was very well equipped with some lovely extra touches added by Jo. My first experience using air BnB and Jo was the best host we could have ever asked for.

    Vickie2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most lovely little boat to stay on. Jo is a wonderful host, welcoming, helpful but not intrusive at all. The boat itself is very clean and well equipped with anything you could need for a stay and there was still plenty of space, it wasn’t cramped at all. The beds are so comfy and the boat is a well decorated, cozy home. The area is quiet but lovely and the people so kind, especially others in the boat yard who are also welcoming and helpful. My best friend and I had the most wonderful three days here before we separate for university and will definitely be returning! Amazing!

    Anna2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! The boat was so lovely and cosy, and had everything we needed for our stay: comfy beds, plenty of bedding, tea and other essentials. The location is perfect: such a beautiful and peaceful place to wake up. Plus, Jo was a perfect host, making sure we arrived OK and giving us some great local tips. We will definitely return!

    Betsy2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful boat in a tranquil spot - the perfect getaway. So much to see and do in Woodbridge then back to the boat for total calm - so cosy and comfy and so well equipped and lovely touches such as croissants cherries and tea and coffee - and Jo is a fabulous host - did not want to leave

    Julia2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • wonderful location. Peaceful, beautiful views. Fantastic opportunity to be at one with nature.

    Kay2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The boat was really well equipped and bigger than I expected. The tidal aspect of the river is quite odd - no water for hours then you're up and floating for a bit - good fun! Lovely to sit on deck, people watching on the tow-path. We ate at the Unruly Pig - amazing meal and a nice 40 min walk to get there and walk if off afterwards!

  • We've just got back after a long weekend away, and could not recommended this little spot enough! We were looking for a quiet break away from normal everyday life, and Moi's place was just perfect! The accomodation was beautifully clean and felt really homely, we bought our little dog whos a rescue and isn't a fan of loud noises, so this location was perfect! We also thought it was such a lovely touch for her to provide milk and bread- it just felt like it was more than just staying in someone's rented out accomodation. Would definitely love to come back!

  • A very pleasant relaxing cottage in country surroundings. Spotlessly clean with all you need and close to many walks and a short drive to lots of sites and towns. Great location. John was very helpful all the way through with many tips for places to see and go. Highly recommended. Tim and Vicky (Kent)

  • Quality accommodation delightful area and first class hosts.

    Glynn2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is situated in a 'very' quiet (but secure) rural position overlooking a field with lamas :). There is ample room to park your car and an outdoor light that comes on so you can walk safely to the front door. The barn is spotlessly clean and has 'everything' you need. including a welcome pack of local bacon, eggs, bread, milk etc. The bed is very comfy (we slept well) and there were extra pillows, blankets etc and an air con unit for the summer. If you are staying in the cooler months there is a wood burner which is a real bonus and John left us ample wood/lighters & instructions - it was super cosy!! Nearby there are places to eat and local shops but importantly you are very well placed to navigate to places of interest. There are some great places nearby to eat especially the local pubs like The Crown. We were made very welcome and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much.

  • A relaxing well appointed barn with thoughtful extra touches, a great peaceful location for exploring the Suffolk Coast and countryside.

    Catherine2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful find - John and Philippa’s place is perfect for a peaceful and romantic getaway. Spacious, stylish and shimmeringly clean and set in the prettiest of locations in rural Suffolk. Close by is the lovely town of Woodbridge, we also visited Covehithe Beach, Southwold and Sutton Hoo. John and Philippa provided thoughtful and generous touches such as lovely bath foam, as well as a welcome breakfast pack and a bottle of Prosecco as we had a celebration during our visit. A must is a meal at the Ufford Crown, which is a short walk (less than 15 minutes) from the barn. Thanks John and Philippa, we will definitely be back!

  • This is a really warm and comfortable barn conversion, with plenty of space and in delightful surroundings. Everything is there for a quiet and enjoyable holiday. John is a very helpful and friendly host and gave us lots of useful tips. We look forward to a return visit at some point.

  • A cozy, stylish, and overall stunning room in a quintessential cottage. Matched wonderfully by a very friendly and accommodating set of hosts. The place was clean, unique, and everything anyone needs for a quiet retreat away. Sam and Mike, thank you for sharing your home with me, it was an absolute pleasure, and I look forward to coming again!

  • I stayed for 6 weeks in this fantastic cottage with a lovely family. Samantha is an amazing host and a fantastic cook. She's one of the most helpful and considerate Airbnb hosts I have met. I'm french, and it was a pleasure to discover English culture by talking with Sam, his family and friends. I hope we will meet again!

  • A beautiful home that's full of genuine charm. The antithesis of an anonymous travel lodge! Welcoming hosts.

    Tyrone2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Just home after a delightful 8 days at Sam's lovely Meadow Cottage. We were given the warmest of welcomes and were very well looked after, having use of the beautiful garden for al fresco meals and generally chilling out. She is a fund of local knowledge, recommending the best eating places, beaches and local walks. We took our bikes and found great rides on the pretty quiet country lanes and tracks. It was a perfect place to recuperate from a recent operation. Sam is one of the most helpful and considerate Airbnb hosts we have encountered and we would be more than happy to return.

    Paul2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sam greeted us with a warm welcome. Her lovely cottage, with outdoor ‘Shack’, are set in the peaceful and quaint village of Ufford, in the heart of Suffolk. A wonderful area ready to be explored, full of little villages, beaches and castles! Sam was on hand to provide top tips and recommendations of what do and where to go within the local area, and more than accommodating if you wanted an early start to get out and about, or just a lazy lie in followed by an al fresco breakfast in the sunshine, listening to the birds and watching her dog, Scout, catch some rays! We had complete access to the cottage and Sam was welcome to us joining her in the house or if we wished a little privacy we had sole use of the ‘Shack’, a summer house complete with electricity and running water; in the garden; should you be to lazy to go to the kitchen! By arrangement, Sam offered a lovely home cooked meal; utilising some of the local produce the region has to offer; which was excellent and a fitting final evening to share with Sam and her family.

A cosy and compact room for one/two people. Adults only - no children or pets. Ideally situated for Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, Snape, Aldeburgh, Framlingham, Dunwich etc. Off the beaten track but with easy access to A12. The room is self -contained and fully furnished with linen and towels. Kitchen with microwave, fridge and oven & table. Bathroom with overhead shower. Bedroom with sofa & desk. Own entrance and patio area. There is a second annexe 'The Garden Room' available also for bookings.
If you are wishing to explore this part of Suffolk for a few days - or perhaps are working in the area - Brick Kiln Annexe is the perfect little 'getaway'. Bigger than an hotel room, and with the facility to 'look after yourself' - it is private and cosy. Whilst the main house where I live is close, and therefore I can help you with any query you may have, I very much respect your privacy and you can come and go as freely as you wish, (obviously within reasonable hours). I also welcome long term/regular stays. Please ask for special rates
Campsea Ashe is a small village that boasts its own pub 'The Dog and Duck', and a well stocked village shop. You can walk to these across the fields if you wish. There is also a railway station in Campsea Ashe - confusingly named Wickham Market - where trains run on the hour to London, changing at Ipswich, and also North to Lowestoft. At the Station is a newly open Station House where breakfast and coffees are served. Closeby also is the famous FarmCafe with shop. Delicious food is served here and local products can be bought in the shop. There are many pubs in the local area - all with very good reputation for their food. Wickham Market is the nearest small town, 1 mile, and here the CoOp opens until 9pm. There is a Chinese takeaway and restaurant, Indian takeaway and restaurant and fish and chips. Also the butcher Revetts - famous for their sausages. There are a couple of gift shops, a post office and a chemist. The doctors surgery is also here.
  • Tina’s place was exactly what I needed - beautifully clean and comfortable, in a lovely setting and with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay.

Beautiful peaceful place to stay and although in the country there is easy access to all the different routes to neighbouring towns . Highly recommend staying here . The plcace was spotless with lovely little touches .

  • We loved the annexe. It was so cosy and beautifully decorated. It was a shame we were only there for 1 night but a great, well-priced base for visiting Sutton Hoo and nearby areas. We’d definitely use it again if we came back up to the area. Lots of extra touches like tea, coffee, cereal, biscuits, milk and toiletries. Very homely. Thank you, Tina!

'The Annexe at 21' is a private section of our home. It comprises bedroom, shower room and lobby space with fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, toaster, bread basket & preserves for breakfast. Tunstall is a sleepy village within an AONB but just 3 miles from the famous Snape Maltings & Concert Hall, 5 miles from Orford & 8 miles from Woodbridge. Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Southwold & Framlingham are also a short distance by car. I look forward to welcoming you to our home.
Having stayed in many B & B's over the years, we have tried to provide what we would look for - hopefully it's what you look for too!
With a wealth of knowledge of the local area, we are happy to assist with places to visit, pubs, restaurants etc that are off the beaten track. Lots of footpaths and cycling routes around the area including Tunstall forest.
  • Karen’s place is great, very clean and comfortable, good breakfast, quiet location, everything you need for a peaceful break in this lovely part of Suffolk.

    Caroline2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great convenient location!

    Pam2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Although we we were rather later than intended (flooding had closed a section of the A1), Karen made us welcome. The accommodation is attached to, but separate from the house, with its own entrance at the side. This meant that we did not disturb Karen when we left or came back in the evening. It was always warm, without being overpowering; I would recommend bringing a pair of slippers for the tiled floor in the bathroom and utility area. The bed was comfortable and had, for us, the right amount of covering. There were a number of friendly, domestic touches, such as the photographs of family, the drawings and paintings of ships and of North Wales on the walls, and the books and maps in the bookcase. You have your own bathroom and really good-quality towels. There are no street lights in Tunstall which means it is dark at night. Karen provided a torch and reminded us to put the outside light on if we were coming back late. Finding Karen’s from Wickham Market direction you have to remember that hers is the second turning on the right, just before the right-hand bend.

  • Lovely host and a great communicator. Will definitely stay if in that area again. Highly recommend this place. Thanks Karen!

  • Karens place is perfect for a visit to Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh. Everything very thoughtfully provided, including a cup of tea when we arrived and all we needed for a simple breakfast. Very peaceful and private with our own entrance. We had a great sleep! Would happily stay again!

  • Usefully located just between Orford and Aldeburgh and at a very reasonable price for what you get - much better value than in either of those towns themselves which tend to come bit pricey! - Very friendly and hospitable.

  • This is a little gem in the heart of the countryside. There's so much to see and do locally - we travelled with a one and a three year old and found loads to do, even in bad weather! The Stables is a wonderful space to stay - really cosy and clean! Karen left a lovely basket of goodies for us on our arrival which was a really lovely touch. We would love to come back and stay here again!

    Samantha2020-02-26T00:00:00Z

  • What a find! Beautiful place, extremely clean and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy giving us a great sleep. My 1 year old loved the kids books. Arrived to a little greeting hamper and milk which was a lovely touch. Would definitely come back again, especially in the warmer months as would like to take advantage of the courtyard and BBQ.

    Robert2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place is perfectly located for visiting Woodbridge, Ipswich and surrounding coastal locations. It is stylish, light and airy and has everything you need for self catering. Karen provided a lovely personal touch by leaving a basket of local goodies for us to consume, and came by the property after we had checked in to make sure everything was in order. A lovely place to stay.

    Linda2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely rural, peaceful location, with a great pub just a short walk down the road. There was a public footpath just next door and plenty of places to explore nearby. • A real hidden gem of a place to stay! I would 100% recomend staying here for a beautiful and cosy home from home. The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and had so much space for cooking, dining and relaxing. Our host, Karen, had thought of everything and was so friendly. It has been a real treat to stay here.

    Emily2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay, cosy and spotlessly clean. Thank you Karen for the basket of goodies too :)

    Maria2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Converted 2 bedroom stables set in a beautiful location. I could not believe how quiet it was. Accommodation is to a very comfortable high standard, one double bedroom and one twin room with a large family bathroom with a very nice rolled top bath and separate large shower. Very nice modern kitchen, dining and living area, the sofas were very comfortable, so were the beds. Lots of information about the local area providing information on lots of things to do close by. Well worth booking a table at the local pub the Greyhound, it was only a 20min walk, so we booked Sunday lunch which I have to say was very good value. Good area for walking, unfortunately my husband forgot our boots so we just we could not do any proper walking but next time we will. If you are not in to long walks then you can take a walk around Woodbridge which is about 15 mins drive, lovely old buildings and looks like they have a lot of pubs. We took a trip to Framlingham to see the castle and took a walk around the town taking in the lovely architecture. Can not wait to return.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Sue‘s place. It is a pretty room with a view into the garden and only a short (and nice) walk into town. Sue made us feel very welcome, she told us interesting things about Woodbridge and the area and she even showed us around there. We can highly recommend her place.

  • Stayed for one night. Lovely comfortable room with private shower. Just a short walk from the local town with great selection of pubs

  • Sue was a great host. The place was lovely, very clean and homely.

    Ali2018-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Sue's one night for a work trip. Communication was excellent and we also managed to find Sue's house easily (a first for us!!). The room is cosy, very comfortable bed, decent sized towels, a fridge, kettle, with tea, coffee & milk provided. The ensuite was very clean, again shampoo and shower gel provided and the shower was very good. We went to one of the pubs that evening (the Kings Head) and it was an easy walk to the main market square, which is very attractive. Would recommend this house stay. Thanks Sue.

  • I had a lovely stay at Sue's...Sue is a lovely, generous host, very friendly...keen to make sure you enjoy your stay, which I did. My room was immaculate and had everything I needed to collapse at the end of a working day. Lovely shower room and comfy bed...everything you need. Sue was also kind enough to send me the book I left behind, which was very special to me. Thank you Sue.

  • We stayed a couple of nights here and were delighted to find it everything and more than we expected. To cut to the chase, it is the most sparklingly clean place we’ve ever stayed in.... and really important to me, it does not reek of cleaning products so it’s no problem if you’re sensitive to those things as I am. None of those ghastly plug in air fresheners! It is tasteful and simple, well designed and calm and quiet. Lovely host, nothing a problem! Thanks to you, Rob, for a very pleasant stay.

    Sally2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable and quiet night’s sleep at Rob and Dianne’s. The place is a short and pleasant walk from Woodbridge town. Recommended.

  • Our third visit in 3 months. Says it all!

  • Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Would thoroughly recommend.

    Ben2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay. Comfy and warm, easy access, with our own private entrance, and just right for our short stay. Basics provided for tea and coffee making etc and fridge, microwave if needed for your own food. No facilities for washing up but things were “magically” cleaned and refreshed each day. Robert welcomed us and were available for anything we might need. Good sized bedroom with TV, small living area and bathroom. For the two of us on a weekend stay for a wedding it was perfect and we enjoyed walking into Woodbridge to potter around and walk along the river. If you’re looking to prepare your own meals it may not suit but there is everything you need to make breakfast and the microwave could be used. It’s a lovely quiet area, but plenty of local places to eat and visit, and we would definitely recommend.

  • Sparkling clean and tidy space & great hosts. Enjoyed my stay and definitely would recommend 10 on 10!

Recently refurbished Georgian second floor 2 bed apartment in a historic town centre building. The building is the former head office of Suffolk seed stores and was converted into shops and two luxury apartments in the 90s. The location is bang in the centre of town with a parking space behind the building in a private courtyard. A minute or two walk from the train station and water front you won’t find a better spot to explore the town & county.
The apartment has a fresh , laid back feel. It’s recently been totally revamped, new carpets, flooring and all the other touches that make it feel great when you’re staying away from home. The apartment has two bathrooms. The main bathroom with a roll top bath perfect to start your getaway r&r. The second is a lovely new en suit bathroom part of the master bedroom. Two bedrooms one twin room (two single beds) , the master (double bed) , the apartment style is uncluttered & minimalist. We however try to provide all the essentials, like GHD hairdryer & straighteners just in case you forget yours. Bedside lamps with wireless charging, it’s so easy to forget to pack one. The lounge sofa also pulls out to a double bed. Open plan kitchen/lounge with pretty rooftop views of the town. A bar area to sit four , would also be a great spot to work from. A good size corner sofa. Bluetooth radio, smart tv ....& a couple of classic board games too. The kitchen has all you need , full size oven & hob. Fridge/freezer. Kettle, toaster etc. That’s it, have a wonderful stay
Woodbridge is a cute , very friendly market town. It’s incredible that for such a quaint town we have soooo much to see and do like traditional cinema, leisure centre, river walks , yacht clubs , coffee shops , bistros, yoga studio, art galleries ...and tons more. The apartment is in Church street which is just off the high street, a quieter street of boutique shops and restaurants. The apartment has parking in a private courtyard at the back of the building (really rare in the town centre) there’s also a public car park 2 mins walk away with a really reasonable daily rate. I love the location here, you’re literally just steps away from the best restaurants and shops in town.
  • Great place, everything sparkling clean, great location.

  • We are a family of 4 and spent 3 nights at Mark's apartment and it is fabulous. It's super clean, super stylish and right in the middle of town. Communication with Mark was great and check-in couldn't be easier. The parking space behind the apartment was another bonus. Woodbridge is a beautiful market town with so many amazing pubs and restaurants and Mark recommended some brilliant places to eat and drink. A brilliant place to stay - we'd highly recommend it!

  • A fabulous find, we really loved the simplicity and location of this spacious apartment. In the heart of Woodbridge you are only a minute walk from the main high street. Situated on the top floor, this stay is perfect for couples or a family of 4, and beautifully put together with the added bonus of a roll top bath. You have everything you need for a relaxing break. A real home from home, we were sad to leave! It’s safe to say that we will definitely be returning in the near future! Mark is a fantastic host who was very welcoming and even messaged us into our break to make sure we were okay. We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely apartment if you are looking to explore the area or wanting to escape! Well worth the stay!

You will be staying just a quick walk away from the beautiful town of Woodbridge which is located along the stunning River Deben. We have a train station with mainline connections, plentiful restaurants and pubs and there is always something going on! The recently built extension is a delightfully spacious room with en suite. The room is beautifully furnished with a tasteful mix of old and new. Babies welcome.

The host and her dogs were very friendly and she was very helpful. I am sure it is a lovely place to stay for a holiday but even more so for me on a business trip, a little bit of luxury to brighten a night away from home and family.

  • Beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere. Relaxing stay. Private room and bathroom. Added extra touches which were lovely like Bath salts and handmade soaps. Host lovely. Beautiful time in hot tub which is also private, be mindful you only get an hour slot which seems to go too quickly, which is a shame if like us you were drawn to this feature most on booking.

  • What an absolutely beautiful home, and Marialuisa couldn’t have done more for us...after falling ill during our stay she was so thoughtful and offered to bring us breakfast so that I didn’t have to get up. She really couldn’t have done more for us, I’m only sad that I didn’t get to experience all the house has to offer. We will certainly be back, thank you Marialuisa!

Our guests say: "We came to Woodbridge for a wedding and have enjoyed staying in your lovely barn with our 2 sons. A weekend has not been long enough and we plan to return and hopefully here again! We love your property and have found it very comfortable, well equipped and in a perfect location. Thank you so much." "Great place to stay and lovely accommodation, great walks along the river and some superb pubs. Very handy for RSPB nature reserves at Minsmere, Boyton, Haversgate, Hollesley and Flatford. Sutton Hoo and Framlingham Castle – great days out too."
This Suffolk self-catering accommodation is located moments from the heart of the historic market town of Woodbridge, located on the River Deben. The town has an excellent range of markets, cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops as well as an independent cinema and the famous Tide Mill, a rare example of a tide mill whose water wheel still turns. Woodbridge is also famous for those who enjoy sailing and is great for cycling and walking. Woodbridge is conveniently located for exploring the Suffolk Coast and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The picturesque town of Aldeburgh is a short drive away, as is RSPB Minsmere, the fascinating historic burial ground of Sutton Hoo, the Bawdsey Peninsular and Quay with unspoilt small sandy beach. Woodbridge railway station is a few minutes walk away.
  • A beautifully clean and well-equipped accommodation, easy walking distance to all amenities. Spacious rooms and quality linen (important). Overall a very pleasant experience.

  • The ‘Andient House Barn’ is a charming, stylishly appointed place very centrally located but perfectly quiet, being in a little mews off of one of the main streets. It is very nice to have the two bedrooms on the ground floor, well separate from the living space, which is wonderfully capacious, bright and attractive. The beds are very comfortable. If you wish to do any serious cooking, or even some not-so-serious cooking, you may need to bring a large stock pot to boil water for rice or pasta; and you may want to bring a couple of sharp knives. Otherwise, you are very well provided for in all ways, here. We enjoyed our stay very much!

There is lots of information on hand and Sarah was very hospitable, providing information of the local area and even check that the children were having a good time. We would recommend a stay at the Granary and Partridge Lodge in general.

My 1 bedroom flat is in the heart of Woodbridge and close to trains, cinema, sport centre with swimming pool and wonderful river walk. The historic town has a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as a great selection of shops.
Elegantly decorated and fully furnished, the flat is located in the heart of Woodbridge (just 5 mins from train station, 20 mins from Ipswich and 1.5 hours from London). The flat is available for monthly rentals from 23/12 2019 - 1/4 2020 and would suit a professional person looking for temporary accommodation in Suffolk. The flat consists of one double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a large living-dining room, a small kitchen and laundry room. The flat also benefits from use of the garden at weekends. Despite its central location the flat is in a very quiet area and benefits from lots of natural light. Woodbridge is a very picturesque old town on the river Dene offering lovely walks and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes. The sea and beach is within 20 minute drive. Other feature include: - flat screen TV - gas open fire - washing machine & tumble dryer - gas central heating The price includes all bills (gas, electricity, tax, etc)
Woodbridge is a very picturesque town on the river Deben, which is lovely to walk along.
  • I stayed just over a month in Christina's lovely home. I had everything I needed, and anything else was close by with many stores and pubs on the same street. I had a little trouble finding it. It's located on a private street off Thoroughfare above Barclays bank. Christina was highly communicative though and available for assistance throughout my stay. There were nice touches such as fresh flowers, scented soaps, and lotions for me to use. She also has an impressive and eclectic library/music collection :) I enjoyed walks by the river and the overall peaceful atmosphere in Woodbridge. Residents were friendly and helpful. Maybe it's just me but as an American tourist, that's a treat, as I've had mixed reactions in my travels. Another bonus was that the train station is a short walk away with links to major cities. I'd happily stay here again :)

A delightful self contained studio on one level with large living space (sofa bed), brand new shower room and full kitchen, and a beautiful wood burning stove for chilly nights. Rose covered pergola outside with paved terrace. The building is in the large, lawned garden of the main house which is a 16th century Manor House. Animals are welcome and we have a dog, cats and horses too -and spare stables if you would like to bring an equine friend.
Delightful countryside situation without close neighbours. Ideal for country lovers and dog walkers. Big garden with fences/hedges so dogs can safely roam. Very peaceful and relaxing for those who want to wind-down. Easy access to local pubs and restaurants although you will have to drive to them. Wickham Market has good local food shops and it’s only about 3/4 miles away. Woodbridge is about 5 miles and has a wide range of shops/restaurants/pubs.
  • Wonderful location. Cosy log fire. Friendly hosts.

  • We had a lovely stay. The studio is really nice and Judy and her husband, their dog, horse and cats are lovely.

  • A lovely little lodge with a large log burner: I was worried I might be cold without heating but the log burner kept the place lovely and warm. Judy and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. Perfect for a few nights in deepest Suffolk.

  • A quiet and cosy space to base ourselves over the Christmas holidays. It was bigger than we were expecting, perfect size for our dog bed and travel cot too! Judy and her husband were most welcoming and our dog loved having a friend to run around with. A fantastic location, with easy access all around the Suffolk area.

  • A lovely place, cosy and quiet. I stayed for 4 nights and it had everything I needed, including basics in the kitchen, a comfortable and warm bed, and an amazing log burning stove. It's the perfect place to base yourself if you want to explore Suffolk, I went walking in woodlands, beach, and heaths, all about 30 mins drive away. I would really recommend staying here if you like countryside and cosiness.

    Anna2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The studio provides a great space from which to explore the local area, which is itself beautiful. My dog and I were made to feel very welcome. The wood burner certainly made for cosy evenings.

Welcome to our cosy glamorous shepherd’s hut, set in a truly magical location where the woods meet the reeds. Enjoy the wonderful combination of riverside wilderness, farm animals and comfortable outdoors accommodation which is only ten minutes walk to Woodbridge with all the buzz of a lively Suffolk market town. It's one of our three glamping accommodations, all sleeping four people - a perfect opportunity to visit with friends or family. See also bell tent Reedbed and bell tent Willow.
It's a unique setting at the edge of a lively town where you can enjoy the beauty of nature only minutes away from cafes and pubs. The shepherd’s hut is by a little spring next to an old willow wood and orchard, part of Spring Farm Barn, a seven acre site which is next to the beautiful river Deben and close to ancient Sutton Hoo. Inside the hut there is a double bed with a comfortable mattress and bedding, a sofa bed which sleeps two, a chest of drawers, a blanket box and a little table and chairs. We provide bed linen and towels. In the reeds there is an outdoors heated shower and a compost toilet accessed via meandering boardwalks lit by solar lights. At the entrance of the hut you'll find a covered cooking and sitting area. We provide a gas camp cooker, ice box with ice packs, pots and pans, utensils, cutlery and plenty of lovely crockery (collecting beautiful china being one of my vices!). There is a fireplace for bonfires and barbecues, there are hammocks and swings, trees to climb on, a stream to paddle in and an occasional train going by to wave at. We're close to the East Suffolk railway line and so we hope that, like us, you'll see the twice-hourly train as more of an entertainment rather than nuisance. In addition to the pleasure of observing rabbits hopping around the orchard, muntjac deer running through the woods and pheasants peeking from the reeds you can enjoy watching daily shenanigans of our three alpacas, hens and ducks - watch this space, our menagerie tends to grow monthly! We've had great fun developing a glamping site in Woodbridge reflecting our ambition to share this beautiful and unique environment with others.
Woodbridge is a charming Suffolk market town with cafes, pubs, independent shops, cinema, swimming pool and plenty of buzz. It's the gateway to the Suffolk coast, to beaches at Aldeburgh and Southwold, the forests of Rendlesham and Tunstall (our favourite), and Sutton Hoo historical site is just across the river. We'd be delighted to tell you about our favourite local places if you'd like help with planning your visit.
  • Tuuli has an amazing place in a really good location!! Me and my friend went at a time I’d been raining a lot but we still had a great stay. Tuuli also has amazing communication skills- they normal way in had flooded and she told me another way to get in which meant I avoided the flooded area- which not many hosts I feel would do. I can’t wait to go back.

  • Check-in and check-out super-relaxed and easy-going. Communication always quick and helpful. Shepherd hut big enough for two people and has enough outside space, too. Hosts were super-friendly and shared tips on living outdoors & eco-friendly. Location is great: 10min walk into Woodbridge, quiet and peaceful setting to hang out during the day. Great accommodation if you're looking for something different!

  • A charming site, friendly host (and animals) and a spacious but cosy hut. The tree swings and outdoor shower were a lovely bonus - as were the eggs from the on-site chickens. Hoping to stay again and make time for the bath in the reeds...

    Sonia2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely welcome, super clean and comfortable. Not as basic as I was anticipating and really comfortable and relaxing. Owls, bats, alpacas, dogs, bees, butterflies, and considering the location - next to a brook and reed beds, I only got bitten by a mossie once! The other guests were also very pleasant, which definitely helps. The outdoor shower was great and I was surprised how close to Woodbridge we were, while still feeling 'in the country'. Make sure you try walking to Woodbridge the 'long way' along the river. (Fussy people should note that a train goes past now an again at the bottom of the garden, trucks go down the tiny road next door now and again and I would advise that wellies are useful even in summer. None of this bothered us.) Truuli definitely makes you feel at home and I hope to return soon.

  • We had a great couple of weeks, Tuuli is the perfect host always making sure we had everything we needed. Kids loved it. Lovely area, nice walks and plenty to do, although it’s so nice at Tuuli’s we spent most of our time there!

  • We arrived at night helped by some friendly neighbors that assured us we where heading in the right direction. In the dark it looked magical with little lights everywhere. Waking up the next day was great as we got to meet the local alpaca’s and other animals. Our first days where super relaxed and Woodbridge is a nice little time. But then Tuuli came back from her own holiday and we got to experience the full sparkle of Woodbridge Glamping! Tuuli is an absolute wonderful host and we were treated to fresh eggs and vegetables and it was a treat to see her walking around keeping the place organized and taking care of the animals. The shower and bath add a special touch ;-) Simple but glamorous, I would recommend this place to my closest friends.

    Johan2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • A tricky wonderful experience. Tuuli was a thoughtful and helpful host and even took us in to shelter from the storm. My son enjoyed making friends with all the children, Holly the dog, and even made an alpaca friend. The outdoor bath is a must. Highly recommend and we very much look forward to staying again. Thank you for a lovely break from reality

  • My wife and I were the first to stay at the Shepherds Hut for our honey moon and we were not disapointed. The hut is situated in a peaceful and beautiful part of Suffolk. The site is shared with two bell tents and is surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers which give each other privacy. At sunrise we heard the beautiful bird song including a woodpecker and at night we saw bats circle the trees. We also caught a glimpse of deer when we went to the River Deben for a walk which is very close by. The outdoor shower is amazing as is the new woodburning bath and the his 'n' hers compost loos were very clean and pleasant to use. The shepards hut double bed is very comfy and the space cosy with a sofa and outdoor dining area, fire pit and hammock. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to make up a meal incuding fresh ground coffee and tea. Tuuli and her family are very welcoming and placed beautful finishing touches like a vase of fresh flowers on the dining table and gifting a bowl of fresh eggs from their chickens. Three friendly alpacas lived in a field behind the hut belonging to Tuuli. Children would enjoy it here- aside from alpacas there are several hammocks and rope swings. Nearby we visited the quaint town of Woodbridge and also Sutton Hoo. There is a lot more to see locally if only we could of stayed longer. We highhly recommend staying here and hope to return for our anniversary next year. It was a perfect glamping experience.

The Nissen hut - garden studio. Bright, cosy, contemporary studio with breakfast included, great for a romantic weekend or for a small family. Surrounded by lovely walks, forests, windy lanes, beautiful beaches; 15 minutes to Snape Maltings, 20 minutes to Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and the coast. 5 minutes to Wickham Market train station, 10 mins to Woodbridge.
A Nissen hut is a prefabricated steel structure, made from a half-cylindrical skin of corrugated steel. Originally designed during World War I by engineer and inventor Major Peter Norman Nissen, it was used extensively during World War II. We renovated the hut as sensitively as possible using reclaimed and recycled materials where we could and adding underfloor heating, a reclaimed cast iron bath and a modern kitchen.
Hacheston has a playground and a farm shop and Easton has a lovely farm park, which is 10 mins drive. The Greyhound in Pettistree, 5 mins in the car, a 45 min walk or 20 min cycle has excellent food and beer. Framlingham is 5 mins away with its lovely pubs restaurants and 12th century castle.
  • We had a fantastic stay. It was a pretty cold, wintery weekend but the hut was warm and cozy. The hut comes with everything you could need for a short stay .

  • We had the best weekend staying here, it's such a beautifully finished space with very thoughtful touches. Cat and Ned are were great hosts; made us feel very welcome, gave us complete privacy but in hand if anything was needed. Couldn't recommend the hut more.

  • We had such a good time in the Nissen Hut - it was really lovely. From the moment we walked in, everything felt so comfortable and inviting from the underfloor heating to the well-stocked kitchen (with local eggs and sourdough left by Cat and Ned) and of course the INCREDIBLE bath. The bed was super comfy and the location is great - we visited Sutton Hoo but wish we'd had longer to visit the coast, as well as spend more time lounging around. We'd happily go back.

  • Amazing space in a lovely village near to lots of great spots in Suffolk. Cat and Ned were great hosts and were super flexible with our arrival / departure. The Nissen hut is really relaxing, and has everything you need and more- it gave us the perfect weekend break!

  • Inside an old Nissen hut Cat and Ned have created a large open plan space. It is warm and comfortable with all the facilities you need for a stay in this little-known part of Suffolk.

  • Absolutely loved our stay here. The hut is beautifully decorated in a peaceful location, with some lovely personal touches. Cat and Ned were so hospitable. Lots to do in the local area too. We will definitely be back.

  • Beautiful, cozy and comforting space and lovely hosts. We felt immediately at home and had such a relaxing time. Truly wonderful place to bring a small person—ours loved the marvel of the walk over the fields right behind the house, the big hay bales and cows, and the beach that was only 20 or so minutes by car away (oh, and the endless supplies of super toys that he’s never enjoyed in such quantities before!). We enjoyed the gigantic bathtub and serene nature of the place and the wonderful proximity to beautiful running and food. And, it goes without saying (but will say it anyways!), our hosts were amazing. The house came with tea and coffee and all you need for breakfast (including dropping off fresh bread & eggs & milk and butter) and our generous hosts offered to pick us up groceries (!). Very kind.
