The cabin lies on an island, the last part needs to be walked over the ice (safe from mid-December till April) or rowed with our small rowing boat (included). The cabin is very nice and cozy, Aino and Anna are very good hosts, they are very responsive and gave us good tips on what to do in the area. One evening we were lucky to watch northern lights from their pier, which was wonderful, while sitting on reindeer skin :) We also went ice fishing with Aino and Anna and rented some skiing equipment which was a good activity to do during our stay :) Aino and Anna also prepared some fish for us which was very nice. The only disadvantage of the place is that the main road is near the cabin so you can see and hear cars driving by from time to time when outside which disrupts the feeling of nature a bit. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this place :)

oikein toimiva mökki mukavalla sijainnilla 👍 Ilmoituksessa mainittuja koiriakaan ei näkynyt, eikä kuulunut kertaakaan. Saunakin oli varsin hyvä, jos silmät kiinni olisi ollut koko saunomisen ajan, olisi ihan puukiukaaksi voinut luulla.

wonderful remote hut on Inari lake. the hut has really all the confort needed no matter it doesn't have electricity or running water. we really enjoyed the place, the calm, the view and... the aurora's at night time.

We truly enjoyed our 4 day stay in this cabin. A place to calm down and enjoy the little things. A good homemade cooked meal, exploring nature and spending time offline with people who matter to you. The most adventurous part for us was crossing the lake. We knew the ice was at least 40cm deep but the sun had melted the first few layers, creating little puddles and slush like ice. For somebody who is not experienced in crossing frozen lakes, it was definitely a thrill for us. But it was worth it, we saw reindeers, northern lights and plenty of different birds on the island which we had to ourselves. The sauna was a wonderful place to really warm up daily and relax. We hope to return one day back to this beautiful cabin! Maybe in the summer, next time 😊
