We find a beautiful place where we share a weekend accompanied by dogs and nature, a cozy place to go as a group or as a very spacious couple in the equipped kitchen to prepare what we like... Even being small to explore, the company of the dogs and the beautiful of the vegetation make the stay very pleasant in a climate where although it is cold the house preserves the heat very well... We loved the place

Fredy and his wife were excellent hosts. Vey beautiful place with outstanding landscaping. The cabin itself was very nice. They have two big dogs and three cats, but animals are very common in Costa Rica. Good location for day trips, and places to stop/eat. Quiet, peaceful, enjoyable area! When we reported a sink faucet developed a problem ,Fredy replaced it while we were out. Would stay here, again!

This apartment is good, just as described in the listing. It's equipped with everything necessary and all appliances and WiFi work well. Good stay!

A house with a pleasant atmosphere. The room is spacious. I slept very well there. And the garden is a dream. Keto was very generous. I was allowed to make a salad in the afternoon before I left and eat it in the garden, even though I had actually left the room at 11. Thank you!

It takes me a great surprise, the place is incredible, visit the place with my wife, the place is super clean, there is everything, it is a safe place, from the location we were easily able to move to many places including restaurants, shops etc., the super friendly staff, safe parking lot, I would definitely go back and it became our place when we visit San José, I recommend it for the rate and everything else mentioned above.

We enjoyed staying at Cat’s and Yolanda’s home. Even though there is shared common areas, we felt very comfortable and private. Afternoon swims in the pool and lounging in the hot tub was relaxing. Quiet mornings in the upper deck were peaceful and you could hang out and enjoy the gorgeous valley view. We are fairly active so walks into town were very doable. Atenas has a good mix of tourists and locals and is a friendly town.

We absolutely loved staying here! Tomás is incredibly kind, helpful and communicative. The stay was perfect, the location is stunning and we couldn’t have asked for better! A must-do location for a peaceful and relaxing stay!!

I highly recommend this home!! Especially if you need to be near the San Juan de Dios or the Children's Hospital. Right in the center of downtown and all that is here. I stayed here because my husband was in the hospital and this family helped me so much! They know the hospital and people who work there. Makes navigation of the system so much easier! The house is an older house that the owner is gradually renovating. She has re-done the rooms for rentals and made them very comfortable. There is a central sitting area and a balcony where I had my morning coffee! The original parquet flooring and other antiques give the rooms a special charm. The rooms are large with large ensuite bathrooms. Easy to find. Parking is available. It is on a busy street, but it gets quiet at night. I slept so well. I highly recommend this place, especially if you need to be at one of the nearby hospitals. Isa was very easy to communicate with, and truly is the best host.

I've stayed twice and it's a wonderful place. The combination between the cold weather and the jacuzzi makes it all different.

Very kind and responsive host — always happy to offer help or answer questions. The house felt extremely secure, and I loved working remotely from the peaceful outdoor patio. The cooler temperatures at this elevation made for perfect nights. While some streets are hilly, the area felt very safe and walkable. There’s a bus stop right outside and plenty of food options within a 15-minute Uber. Overall, a great stay and a host who truly went above and beyond.

It is a wonderful place next to a River. I really enjoyed my stay. Marianela was a great host. She even went shopping with me on my first day because I had no car. The property is located off any Traffic noise… but since it is quite close to the airport you hear the airplanes starting around 4:30 am. The hot tub only gets to 35 degrees C and takes a while to get warm . But it was still nice to relax in the horrible. I would come back!

Beautiful room in a beautiful location. Close to a mall for breakfast food options and dinner options within walking distance. Easy to get in and out of for airport transfers. Views were amazing.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here on a layover in San Jose, and it’s the perfect spot for a quick sleep. Emmanuel organised everything really well and Luis and his wife made me feel very welcome with fruits and a transfer to and from the airport. Will stay again!

The photos don’t do justice to this beautiful “Hacienda”, come here to recharge and enjoy nature. Rooms are beautiful with views of nature. Great place for family gatherings, close to nearby markets, all and all a perfect 10!

Great quiet hotelito. Friendly helpful staff. Nice location for neighborhood walks. Extremely clean and comfortable room. Great for the price. City park in the area and incredible fried chicken restaurant close by. Easy 5-10 minutes from the airport.

Simply spectacular don Daniel was brought to life, his empathy and his way of treating us was great Thousand recommended for those who wish to have a moment of passage or rest , in my case , I resolved all the situations I had, since I contacted him, I arrived and left . Great

Karen’s place is like a little oasis in the foothills overlooking the city. It’s bright, airy, clean, and comfortable, and she has provided everything you could possibly need for a pleasant stay. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the cheerful, funky decor made us feel like we were staying in a super swanky boutique hotel…..but better! Located in a great neighborhood with amazing restaurants and a nice little grocery store within a 3-4 min drive. Karen made getting there and accessing the gated property a breeze with informative videos. We will stay here every time we are in San Jose!

Lena is VERY kind makes you feel at home. Get you anything you need. HIOGHLY RECOMMEND HER PLACE. Her dogs are GREAT !!!!!

If your mind is full of clutter, this place will cleanse your mental health with all of the nature and strong rain which is soothing (rainy season of course). A great getaway for a solo visit or with family/friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the mountain house. The indoor garden is beautiful with the open sky above it. Marvi was fabulous and so helpful! Vicky and Jorge made tómales for us one night and went above nasty beyond the call of duty!!! Thank you for a fantastic time. It was like part camping with great amenities!!!

Alexandra is a super host and a very kind person. Her apartment is cozy, clean and we'll equipment with ever you need. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for some privacy. Alexandra's son Nicolas is super helpful and kind just like her as well. They made us feel righ at home along with her friendly dogs and one cat too. if you choose this place as your stay, you won't regret it.
