Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in Sabaragamuwa Province

This place is definitely one of the best during our trip to Sri Lanka. The road there is very bumpy and I hope they will fix it soon, and the place needs a small touch up but, the location, the rooms and the lovely staff working there are making the nights we stayed there memorable. I will definitely go back and I give them a great recommendation.

If you're looking for a pied-à-terre in a place that's both wild and safe, Rohan's estate will delight you. In addition to the exceptional setting with a swimming spot less than 50m from the house, the room was spacious, clean and equipped with very recent amenities. In addition, Rohan has great advice on any kind of activity in Sri Lanka, and has been extremely helpful with any kind of request.

Hands down the best place we have stayed in over our month we spent in Sri Lanka. Sadly, we stayed only one night but will gladly recommend this place for longer stays! The place is amazing, with quiet surroundings, immersed in jungle. Room is equipped with everything you need, and sparkling clean. The staff is very kind, attentive, and always helpful. The host himself cared for us very much, and is a true expert in running a hospitality business. Highly recommended!

Depending on the type of person you are, you could either love this spot or not. We LOVED it as it had INCREDIBLY helpful staff who communicated well and couldn't do more to help fulfill any of our requests. The breakfast was delicious and an abundance of food provided in one meal. It is very safe and easy to go on walks around the area. It is private and located in the middle of tea fields. If you want hustle and bustle of a town, then this is quite far out of that. If you want modern and new, then this is not for you. But if you want peace, calm and lovely surroundings with cooler weather, then absolutely. We loved our stay and were very comfortable. The host organized our transfer from the station to the accommodation, and he was outstanding - a tour guide as well as the driver - he told us many stories of the area - so knowledgeable!! There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance - we went to Frostbite for dinner - and quirky place with really good food!!

I have never felt that a small country character apartment can be so beautiful, comfortable, and convenient.Go out on the right hand Georgian River, town on the left hand side, shops, markets.The host was also very nice. We woke up at four o'clock, and we had to go out at 5 points, and the boss and fellow helped us prepare breakfast early.Don't want to stay there and walk... definitely stay here next time.

The place and the view is fantastic. The picrures (and probably no pictures) can't do justice to the beautiful view. The staff is very helpful and nice as well. They helped us with everything and even arrangered a whole day of activities for us. I strongly recommend this place.

Unfortunately the cabin I booked was unavailable so was placed in the room upstairs above the restaurant. Would have preferred a more secluded space but the stay was still magical and for the first night I was the only person staying on the property. The location of the hotel is amazing, with 360 degree breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and mountains. Sunrise and sunsets amazing. Sumeth organised and took me on a guided tour of the local area including tea picking, visiting a tea factory, gem mine, temple and waterfall. Sumeth was an exceptional guide, spoke very good English and was very friendly and personable. The restaurant was nicely decorated and staff very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty but western focussed (would be nice to see some more Sri Lankan options). However they did have a complimentary Sri Lankan breakfast which was delicious and a large serving. Overall highly recommended. Very relaxing, peaceful and unique experience.

Had a great stay! Would highly recommend staying, and when you do, take the local dinner!! I almost cried because of the flavors. It was so good.

Ishantha’s Heritage home is a gorgeous place to visit. The grounds are spectacular with lots of extra activities to sign up for. Ishantha & his team are wonderful hosts, the food is incredible, authentic Sri Lankan for breakfast & diner. We did the cooking lesson which was a lovely pass time. My stay at Gileemale Walawwa was an experience that will not soon be forgotten. The hospitality that Ishantha and his amazing staff provide is on par with the Royal treatment that this property’s long history is known for. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, our comfort and wellbeing seemed to be the number one priority. Given the property’s rich history of over 300 years it felt like a time capsule full of charm and personality of the past, while at the same time providing more than enough modern amenities for our comfort. Away from any and all societal chaos, Ishantha’s property is a true hidden gem while still being close enough to the town of Ratnapura for anything more you could need. The attention to detail in regard to the guest experience here is unmatched and I would love to return one day. Thank you Ishantha!

The stay was really great and the accommodation was stunning. The location is perfect for the safari and they were happy to help organise and answer any questions we had. There isn't a lot to do in the immediate area so the resort was lovely to chill and relax in around other activities. They were also helpful in providing a tuktuk to a nearby restaurant and friendly throughout our stay - would recommend!

The place was so calm and quiet . It was a place made for relaxation. We enjoyed the stay very much. What we loved the most was the nature friendly environment . The place was cleaned and maintained well by the caretaker. We had all the facilities .

Alp took very good care of us, was so helpful, stayed with us throughout our Sri Lanka trip and was a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend her place to stay! P.s. - She is a great driver!!

It was a lovely stay. The room was very nice and we had everything we needed. With the tuktuk you need 20 minutes to Kandy but for us it was worth it to have a peaceful accommodation. We had spontaneous dinner here and the price was more than fair.

Truly a magical experience. To go into too much detail would be ruining the adventure, but William and his team have carved out a slice of paradise that we will remember for a long time.

This is such an amazing accommodation. We loved that it is in the middle of the jungle. The place is far from cities and there are plenty of animals (I can only recommend to wear the socks over the trousers to avoid leeches). But we really enjoyed to immerse ourselves into nature. Karina was also really friendly and helpful. We had some dinner and breakfast there and she also helped us organising a jungle tour. I can only recommend to stay with her.

Great communication with the host, halfway down the hill, and the house is new.

This is a very peaceful Airbnb with a wonderful view of the river and surrounding trees. The room was modern and spacious. The cooking class with Malika was informative and the food, absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

Quick stopover. Was easy and straightforward. Highly recommend.
