Cottage holiday rentals in Sacramento River

We’re very familiar with the surrounding area and this home is classic to the Russian River vibe. It’s easy to access Jenner Highland preserve, Armstrong woods and river activities. We found the listing to be accurate and very clean. We did not access the small secondary building but appreciated the hot tub. We also were glad we left our dog at home as there is no grass on the property and several stairs to navigate. It would certainly work for some dogs, but not ours was quite large. We did appreciate David’s immediate response to our request to edit our reservation when we decided not to bring our dog; excellent communication!

Our stay was lovely! The beds and linens were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The entire home was well stocked and it felt like a second personal home in terms of the quality of items - sharp knives, well stocked pantry for cooking basics, foil, etc. We brought two dogs and it was a paradise for them. The outdoor area is truly magical. The fire pit is great, the downstairs dog shower is handy, and the landscaping is sublime.

Zorelle was communicative from booking - Check out. He answered questions promptly, gave great recommendations and instructions for our stay. The cottage was as pictured and very comfortable. It made our "Bucket list" week the best place to recoup in the evening. We had a great time!

In a word - delightful! We very much enjoyed the back deck and patio with morning and afternoon sun, a relaxing yard with views of the river, osprey, swallows and even deer. The kitchen was very well equipped with high quality appliances/utensils/cookware/dishware etc for easy mealmaking. Playing records from Adam's collection was memorable & reminiscent. The beds were very comfortable - especially nice with french doors looking out to the back yard and riverscape. The location is easy distance from Monte Rio, Jenner and Guerneville, paddleboarding, beaching, hiking nearby plus nice to walk our dog Lexie in the extended neighborhood. Adam was a great host. We highly recommend Adam's delightful cottage retreat, and look forward to future stays!

A peaceful retreat on a beautiful ranch! This lovely cottage was the perfect getaway: peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. We especially loved all the birds around the property! The house had everything we needed (and then some), making it feel like a true home away from home. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We’d absolutely love to come back again!

The beautiful pictures and glowing reviews for this listing were a primary reason why we chose to book, and the reality absolutely met our expectations. My boyfriend and I just spent almost a week here to rejuvenate and unplug, and it was the perfect place to do so. We felt an immediate shift in energy upon arriving at this very serene and magical property. It was just as lovely as previous commenters have stated. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Marykate, but her son conducted our check-in and was so friendly and kind and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. We had total privacy but still felt our needs were being taken care of. Everything was also so thoughtfully considered and supplied. Absolutely LOVED the beautiful and adorable free-range chickens. It was so peaceful and therapeutic to see them roaming around. Such a special place. It was a sad day when we had to leave, and I hope we will be back soon.

Quaint little cottage and private deck away from and yet close to the town. Excellent and super-responsive hosts, very sweet and kind. Highly recommend for a serene experience in nature on your next Petaluma trip. :)

I highly recommend this place, it’s perfect for getting away from the city where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of nature. I love that is pet friendly, Romeo my chihuahua loved the back and front yard he was obsessed being outside most of the time. Kimberly is an amazing host and keeps her place very clean to me that is a plus.

Linda is a great host. Cares about her guests. She had the room set to be cool upon arrival. The room is spacious and pleasantly comfortable. The Friday farmer's market is an easy walk, just down the street. Quiet neighborhood.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon! It was our first stop in California and it was absolutely worth it! The accommodations were beautiful, the kitchen made it easy for us to eat meals together at home, and furniture was clean and very comfortable! We would definitely recommend staying here!

Adorable home in the heart of Nevada City. Perfect for a short girls trip while visiting my aunt who is a longtime resident of Nevada City and also celebrating her birthday. The decor is right up our alley. We have driven by this place so many times, wanting to stay the night and it finally happened. Host is very proactive with emails and instructions. We hope to stay at her other location in the future as that is our other frequent vacation destination.

Probably the easiest check in and check out and overall Airbnb experience I've had. Responsive and courteous host.

The cottage was very nice, with great views, tall ceilings, huge sliding glass doors, and perfectly set up for two couples. It was extremely clean! We had a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay here. The home is welcoming (the personalized welcome sign is such a nice touch) , decorated nicely, and was a great space for our family. Great location, only 40 min to Yosemite. Wish we had more time to use the community amenities. Definitely recommend and will stay here again if we’re in the area!

Me and my family had a wonderful time. The cow and a few goats are right outside of the window to the airbnb. When we visited they did have baby goats so that was also fun, my baby loved the animals. We also loved how it was very rural and away from most things. If you need a store or anything there is a small town about 15 min away, although we only stayed one night we will definitely be back!

Awesome, quirky, and cute. Hot tub is nice, as is the whole seating area out there. If you are a fan of creative spaces, different styles of stays, and don’t need or do fancy, this place is ideal. It is creaky and if you are over six feet tall you’ll have to duck at one spot, but that stuff adds to the cute factor not subtract. Good spot

such a wonderful and beautiful experience to sleep in this cottage for the night. the outside ambiance is such a scenic view, i loved hearing nature outside when we woke up in the morning. cherie was very kind and nice and helped us out more than we could ask for. thank you for this stay !

Berry Vine Cottage was a cozy place for my son and me. It was very clean, and had every convenience we were hoping for. It was centrally located to all the trails and the town of Point Reyes Station. Would recommend to a friend!

My husband and I had a great time in Mill Valley. We were amazed at the location of this adorable cottage. It is walking distance to the library and to downtown MV, which had everything we could possibly need/want. Such an incredible community. Our host was helpful when we had questions and answered promptly. The cottage was cute, clean and cozy. Overall we loved our stay and would love to come back again someday!

Small hiccup getting into the house and Amber was super quick to help! The place was stunning! So beautiful and so well appointed. The home is 10/10!!

Really awesome spot! Claire was extremely accommodating, responsive, helpful, and warm/welcoming without being overbearing. The unit is attached to their main home, but I felt like I had all the privacy I needed for sure. Sometimes I would hear them, but I never actually saw anyone else. Some accessibility notes: parking is right in front of the front door to the studio on a gravel driveway. Three steps to get to the front door of the studio, which itself is quite small and everything is packed pretty close together, so it would be difficult a to wheel a chair through there, but it could definitely be done aside from the 3 steps. Shower (beautiful) had a big ledge in it that could effectively be used as a bench, and it also had a detachable handheld showerhead. There’s a beautiful pool, cute animals, and overall gorgeous and peaceful outdoor setting. If you’re sensitive to noise, there’s a train that goes by regularly and occasional dog barks/coyote cries, but they provide earplugs

This home is an architectural & experiential gem in the hills above Berkeley. The house itself is a marvel, with lots of artistic details, and the outdoor space has ample places to enjoy the sun as it moves through the sky during the day. The views of the Bay are exceptional, and the overall surroundings are really peaceful. Bonnie is an excellent host, she's responsive and thoughtful, especially with offering lots of local recommendations. So grateful to enjoy this beautiful home!

This is the second trip to Susan's, and it was even better than the first. Use the house as a j jump off point for local mountain biking and oyster consumption, so it is perfectly situated...peaceful, comfortable, and in a beautiful setting. Indeed, the house itself feels like your own, and Susan is wonderful. Help when or if you need it, leaves you alone if you do not. Looking forward to trip #3!
