Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Saimaa

We have stayed a total of 8 times on the canal with a large group. It is easy to find, check-in at your own time is easy and effortless. The setting is beautiful, with the best place to follow the seasons. The floor plan of the house is good. The bedrooms are upstairs and the common areas are downstairs. A larger group can sit at the large dining table. The living room can also accommodate a larger group. Iida always responds quickly, making it easy to agree on things. This is one of the best places we have stayed. It is a very quiet, peaceful location, surrounded by nature and beauty. If that's what you are looking for then this is the place for you. The house is stunning and modern with great views, the sauna is wonderful and encourages relaxation. We also loved using the boat and swam in the lake about 6 times each day! It's worth stocking up on food in one of the big supermarkets like the one in Lahti, but there are some amazing restaurants within a 35-40 minute drive. We are looking forward to staying here again soon.

Great cottage in a great location. Great scenery, clean water, peaceful surroundings, and the lakeside sauna got the best steam you can imagine. The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Lovely four days in the courtyard of the manor. The atmospheric setting had peace and privacy. Messaging with Jaana was easy and seamless. A charming old-fashioned cottage with all the modern comforts in style. Next to the seaside. The little backwinter of April was an atmospheric time to visit. Highly recommend!

Lovely place right by the lake. Great sauna and easy to swim in the lake. Kitchen has everything needed for cooking. Bed is super comfortable and the views from inside area amazing. Very beautiful, peaceful and quiet location, would definitely stay again!

Very beautiful apartment in a great location. The view from the window and balcony to Olavinlinna Castle made the place a fairytale. Everyone matched the description. Very clean and well-equipped. A dedicated parking spot is a plus. Linda responded to inquiries immediately and everything went great. This is where I'd like to stay again.

The house is a cozy nest, very spacious and very well-equipped… Elina's house has contributed a lot to us having a good vacation, the sauna is great… All the rooms are large and warmly furnished despite the cold outside, it warmed our hearts… The exteriors offer a beautiful snowy landscape. A beautiful complex of several houses in nature on the lake shore, perfect for families with kids. There is a well-equipped playground, a rowing boat with a motor, a sauna (with us she had a hot tub). You can rent sup boards and fast boats. You can swim from your own jetty. The water in the lake was warm and clean, perfect for bathing.

Absolutely breathtaking. Every finish and detail felt purposeful and meticulously considered. The photos are precise, and the description is exact. We had a deeply relaxing, delightful time. There’s so much to enjoy and little reason to leave: we took the canoe out to circumnavigate small islands dotted with charming gulls, read peacefully on the dock, watched the water shift with the light, and ended each day in the delightful sauna. The summer nights glowed warm and still, turning every movie into a kind of fairytale. The house itself offers many distinct spaces—each one a quiet stage for nature’s daily choreography. From the moment we turned off the main road onto the enchanting gravel path—lined with tall trees and singing birds—we felt ourselves begin to exhale. We’ve stayed in many beautiful places around the world, and this one felt truly special. The host was very helpful and responsive, and his house manual detailed and helpful.

One of the best places we stayed in Finland! House is fully equipped and even more for a big company. Will add this place to favorites and come back for sure :)

We had a very peaceful time in this very nice little cottage. Perfect for 2 people. Beautiful view. Absolute calm. Lake easily accessible by a bathing ladder for swimming. Very nice sauna. 20 minutes from 2 supermarkets by pretty unpaved roads in the forest. Thanks Marjack for your explanations.

Wonderful cottage right next to an idyllic lake and forest area. Very quiet and beautiful, the sauna and wild swimming is a lot of fun. Great instructions and communication!
