House holiday rentals in Saint-Contest

We needed a place to stay in Caen with our dog so we could explore the area and Arnaud’s place was absolutely perfect. The location is very central and yet also very private with it’s completely enclosed garden. We were welcomed personally and immediately felt at home and comfortable. It is quiet and peaceful, and ideal for our dog who just wanted to relax in the shade. All of the things inside worked perfectly and the home itself is very well equipped. We highly recommend Arnaud’s place and will stay there again when we visit Caen.

Very nice host, responds quickly, flexible, friendly. House was perfect for the group we were with (4 adults, 3 children). Everything was present. Could use everything up to table tennis, games, washing machine, Netflix, swimming pool. Everything is also available in the kitchen. If you come for the D day sights, you can easily drive everything from here. Close to bakery and supermarket and nice beach bars.

Highly recommend this property. Sophie and Clement were excellent hosts - they were friendly and extremely responsive when there were a couple of minor problems and fixed them immediately. The property itself was clean, cute and comfortable with beautiful surroundings. It was completely quiet and private, even with other visitors nearby. It provided a great base for two weeks in Normandy - an easy drive to many interesting attractions. It was also an easy 30 minutes walk or 5 minute drive to Courselles where there are lots of restaurants and shops. And the heated pool was an excellent bonus. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay with Sophie again.

I would 100% recommend this listing. Celine our host was responsive and very friendly. All the instructions were clear and the listing matches the photos and our expectations. Very well located and very well equipped, we were with small children, we had everything we needed. Thank you very much for this Norman break in this very nice setting.

We enjoyed staying at the Farmhouse of which returning to the pool after a busy day out was a favourite of our teens. nice and clean with all that you need to self cater provided. good bed linen, towels and robes supplied. The village is outside of Caen , there are no amenities within the small village and we decided to eat out during our days out and could easily cook in the evenings with supermarkets within driving distance. A quiet and quaint village in the Normandy Countryside with the main towns and D Day Beaches a easy drive on good roads.

Beautiful cottage, beautiful surroundings! Everything you need is in this cottage! Felt right at home! Would definitely recommend if travelling in Normandy!

Beautiful house in an ideal location if you come to Normandy for the history of WWII. Excellent living room and kitchen with all appliances. Two bedrooms with excellent beds and spacious, bright bathroom with toilet. We were very warmly received and if we were to go to Normandy again, we will definitely come back here.

We enjoyed the accommodation during a family stay. The house was very clean when we arrived, we had a very good stay, very pleasant with the family and close to the beach and Caen by car (about 10 min). The appartment was very cozy and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Ouistreham is a nice village with more than enough shops and restaurants and the location of the appartment is great. Would book again!

Morgane and Baptiste were lovely hosts. The cottage was beautiful and we felt immediately relaxed and able to enjoy our holiday. It was spotlessly clean and excellent location for Bayeaux (15 mins) and D-day beaches furthest being 50 mins. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Great welcome from our hosts. The setting was idyllic, sitting on the deck in the evening sun listening to the birds and overlooking the pond was very relaxing after a busy and sometimes emotional day. We had come to pay our respects to those who died in the war. The hosts were not intrusive but there is you needed them and the dogs were great😁 It was an ideal base for our purpose and nice to come back to, everything thing you need in one place which we prefer. A soup bowl would have been useful 😃 If you are using satnav it won't take you to the house just the end of the road, the Canadian memorial is not obvious until you are past it so follow the directions given by the host instead and if you come through the village go to the end of the road and turn right the property is a short way down on that road not the Rue de Bout Reynard . We had a great time and would recommend this if you want a peaceful base to relax or head out from.

Isabelle is a superb host. She welcomed us as soon as we arrived. She introduced us well to the sorting and to different means present in the accommodation. It was great. The place and the accommodation are great!!!

We had a short but truly lovely stay! A perfect place for our family--we could all spread out a bit after a week sharing hotel rooms. Loved the location--the views were charming. Proximity to Bayeux was excellent--less than a five minute drive to the town center parking lots. Very clean, clear instructions, and thoughtfully stocked kitchen (though we didn't cook!). We'd definitely return. Thank you for a great stop on our road trip.

We recommend this accommodation ideally located a few steps from shops with a nice sea view. The place is relaxing and very pleasant! In addition, the hosts are very flexible.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Plenty of space for everyone, with comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. We all felt very much at home and were sad to leave! This house is a 10/10 and we highly recommend staying here if in the area to see Omaha Beach, the American cemetery, and the beautiful French countryside. We hope to return!

I recently stayed at Cathy's place in Thue et Mue while visiting friends, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The location is peaceful and private, offering the perfect environment for a deep, restful sleep thanks to the absolute silence. Cathy, the host, was incredibly attentive and responsive, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The space was exactly as shown in the photos—clean, cozy, and comfortable. It’s also conveniently located near a bakery and supermarket, making it easy to grab essentials. The fast internet was an added bonus. Overall, a great stay!

I had a wonderful stay at Valentin's place. Valentin was very friendly and communication with him was excellent—he was always quick to respond. The accommodation is located in a beautiful small village. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
