Farmstay holiday rentals in Saint Croix River

The place was gregarious, I really recommend it the place it’s very peaceful and it’s private that’s why we love the place. Caroline was very kind and friendly!

Our stay was absolutely the best. Diane was great to work with, before and during our stay. Half of our wedding party was able to comfortably stay during the weekend, and there was plenty of space, activities, and privacy for a small cozy groom’s dinner on site. Thank you Diane, and other hosts, for a beautiful site and a wonderful weekend! Highly recommended and we would definitely be interested in a return visit. 💞

This farm was just as described. The hosts were kind and accommodating. The property was great and we walked around the farm many times a day. We appreciated the fresh muffins that were thoughtfully left for us. We bought a jar of local honey, look for it on the porch! We used the fire pit for s’mores and enjoyed the swing. Bring a flashlight! It gets dark at night and we couldn’t seem to find one. We would definitely stay here again. Great hosts and a wonderful property. Thank you!

The Flaming Torch Lodge is perfect! It’s tucked into a wooded area and nestled right up to the Flambeau River! Wildlife abounded; we even got see their precious babies, too! There is nothing like waking in the morning to a doe and her fawns eating the greenery around the cabin! Priceless! The cabin itself was clean and uncluttered. Katy provided everything to cook and meal or bake a dessert! She also left bottled water and coffee for us, which we appreciated! Overall, a wonderful experience! Thank you, Katy!

Beautiful space! We had a great stay here and Nathan/his family were kind and responsive hosts. We appreciated that the bathroom cabinets were stocked in case we forgot or needed something (OTC medication, a curling iron, etc). Would recommend!

This was our second stay here & we will be back again! The property is so beautiful & quiet. The hot tub is really nice & it is so fun to lounge in there while watching/petting/feeding the horses. My son LOVED taking their paddle boat out on their beautiful pond, and my sister & I enjoyed this too. We ended up spending a lot of time on it, & even though the owners and the other guests were somewhere on the property, we didn’t really see anybody else during our time out there (which we appreciated because we weren’t looking to mingle). We cooked all our meals there & there was space in the fridge for everything & they had all the pots, pans, and everything else we needed to make all meals. The beds are comfy & the big window is so beautiful to gaze out of when you wake up. It was nice not hearing any noise from the roads or anything, & i felt like there was enough privacy from the main house & the other air bnb property. Overall a really magical weekend for all three of us :)

Naomi saved our Mothers Day disaster from another host. Not only was Naomi a superb host, her cabin was simply amazing. A place to relax and be carefree. Kids to run and play with the dogs, with no care in the world. A loft perfect for them to find sleep. A kitchen perfect for endless home cooked meals. This cabin was so perfect to take the kids mom and grandma to disappear from reality and be one with nature, family, and self. With non stop, amazing selection of vinyl records on rotation and though available, a TV and electronics were far from necessary. The peacefulness after the sun set and the calm of the rising sun. Naomi always there when we had a question. The forest park with a beach and fire tower just a few miles away along with town being not too close but not too far. This cabin was what we needed and was our much needed paradise. This will become a new annual spot. Beautiful cabin with a beautiful history.

One of the most relaxing and peaceful places I’ve been to.

We had an amazing stay at this peaceful home. The landscaping, views all around the property, and outdoor amenities in addition to a clean, beautifully decorated home allowed us to have an amazing weekend away, in just under 90 minutes from Minneapolis area . We enjoyed the serene backyard with everything you could want to rest, eat, relax, and convene together. Heather has considered everything you may need and the home is spacious and comfortable. Between the hot tub, games, multiple TVs, large stocked kitchen, hammock, and plenty of outdoor seating, we enjoyed a variety of ways to relax and just be together. We also made our way to hikes/trails in the area and a few restaurants but this home was so nice to be in that we mostly wanted to return so we could enjoy it! The home was everything we wanted and needed in a rental home, and we have already made plans to come back with our children. It would also make a great spot with both privacy and common space for a group of adults.

My group was only using this for a homebase for work for a few days but it was one of the best airbnb experiences I have ever had so far. Outstanding location with beautiful views and ofc the cows! The beds were wonderful. And that heated floor in the bathroom is something I need to consider getting now. All in all such a wonderful couple that helps you know everything about where you are and the area. Definitely will try to stay here again and again.

We enjoyed our stay at Jon’s. Our beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was beautiful with new appliances and lots of dishes, and the washer and dryer looked new, as well. We didn’t spend much time there at all because we were at my family member’s home which was not far. Jon was awesome at communicating. Would stay there, again, in a heartbeat.

Hidden Pond Junction was our home during an unexpected event for our family. Tom and Cindy went out of their way to make us comfortable. We had the most enjoyable stay we could have dreamed of. The home was set up for us to live in and the kitchen was fantastic! Many cookies were baked, birthdays had and relaxing like we have never experienced. Our family would highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a great getaway place. We will go back for sure!! We will never forget our time at Hidden Pond Junction. -The Olsons

Our stay at Hygge Valley Hideaway was a picture perfect weekend. Kammi was a wonderful host who clearly loves this property. The cabin-feel was so cozy, the sunset views were spectacular, and everything was clean and clearly marked. We loved our visit!

Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the chickens and the old barn. Use of a washer and dryer. We were there for grandson graduation with our dogs . The only recommendation that would have been nice for us would have had access to fenced dog area for potty breaks.

Amazing service great activities just all around exceptional

This was our 2nd time staying here. For our needs this is a great location, close to everything the area has to offer. The house is clean and quiet. Plenty of space for a larger family as well. We stayed here 2 years ago with 4 adults and 1 small child.

Catherine was an amazing host! It was very clean! And had everything you needed! It was very cozy! It worked wonderfully for our family of four with two kids the bed room with the to twin beds work great for my two kids. We loved our stay!

The Sedge Wood Farmhouse/Stacy’s place is so welcoming, peaceful, well equipped and very clean. Stacy is very responsive and easy to communicate with. A friend and I stayed for two nights while hiking the Ice Age Trail and it was a perfect place to come “home” to. We got to meet Ashly who shared interesting information with us about the farm and farming practices that they use. This is a great location for people hiking the Ice Age Trail in Chippewa and Taylor Counties. Would definitely stay again when in the area!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The views from the many huge windows and 2 decks are amazing! We had 3 turkeys and a deer roaming the yard during our stay, which was so delightful. The house was extremely comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed with nice extras. It was so relaxing and quiet there that we didn't even want to leave the property. We did go to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha which was fun and interesting. Wabasha is an easy drive from the house and has a grocery store and Kwik Trip for all your needs. Dale was very responsive to my messages and very friendly. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

We stayed at this house for a long weekend at the end of May. The weather was beautiful and we were able to enjoy time outside. The extra items inside the house were above and beyond (laundry soap, coffee beans, phone chargers connected in the bedrooms. The house was very clean and looked like the photos. There was also a double washer/dryer and lots of pool towels. Zach & Betsy were very responsive from the time we booked the rental until the time we checked out. We can’t wait to visit again and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in or around Chisago City.

Absolutely wonderful stay! We had families gathering here with young kids and we had everything we needed. The home was perfect. The lake was lovely. The beds were cozy and the communication with owners was great! Will for sure be back in the future!!! Thanks for the memories.

The Holm was perfect for a mini friend reunion as we were all in town for a wedding! The sauna and 10 minute drive to the winery venue definitely sold us on the property. But it was also peaceful and charming with enough beds for what we needed. I almost wish we would have booked another night so we could enjoy all the little hangout spots outdoors!
