Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Guests can take advantage of the outdoor area with private swimming pool (counter-current swimming), beautiful terrace and private access to the pétanque court. A beautiful path will lead you to the cottage in total independence thanks to the individual automated gate.

Pont du Gard – Urban V

Near Pont du Gard, 4 km from exit 23 of the A9, chalet equipped to accommodate 2 people (2 beds of 80) in free management (cleaning not included). The GR 63 from Avignon to Pont du Gard and the GR 670 (the Urbain V path) cross the village. For hikers (ONLY) traveling in groups of 4, there is the possibility of renting an extra room, independent of the chalet. You will have a parking space in the property and, if necessary, a secure space to store bicycles.

My accommodation is 10 minutes from the Pont du Gard, 5 minutes from the highway exit. You will enjoy your stay with a real comfortable bed (140 x 190), the privacy of the bedroom, the bathroom (shower and toilet) and the equipped kitchen. You can also relax in the jacuzzi area included in your stay. Linens are provided (sheets, towels...). You have the option to have breakfast in the kitchen. The bakery is a short walk from the house.
