The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

Cozy 160 m2 apartment in an old farmhouse with one floor at the exit of the village. Independent entrance, with a terrace, a large front door and a meadow. Adjoining my house and another apartment. The medieval city of Lautrec is located in the heart of the Tarn, classified as the most beautiful village in France. Located halfway between Lautrec and Vénès, you will find various amenities nearby: grocery store, post office, tobacco shop, bar, restaurant, etc... supermarket (9 km). The nearest airport, Castres-Mazamet, is 28 km (25 min) away. You can also walk or cycle on our various hiking trails. Including the hiking trail located just 50 m from the cottage.
