Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Saint Lawrence River

I love Maine's working waterfront and even though my stay was in the off season there was a wonderful glimpse into our fishing economy and the hard work it takes to keep it happening. The quality of light in the unit was amazing, and viewing the moon across the water was stunning. Easy to access all that the midcoast has to offer within an easy ride, to Rockland and Damariscotta and Boothbay and Wiscasset -- my favorite spots. Beautiful places nearby to hike and explore. Onsite staff people Debbie and Blair were wonderful; when I had an issue with the internet -- it was fixed quickly. Unit was well equipped for a person who loves to cook. Also having a bathtub in a waterfront apartment was a plus since many don't have them. Clean, comfortable, safe-feeling -- all one could want in a Maine coastal vacation. Wish I could have stayed longer but instead I'll just plan to go back again.

I felt comfortable the moment I arrived at this lovely bed and breakfast. The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The space itself was spotless and thoughtfully maintained. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, striking the perfect balance between being helpful and giving me space. I truly appreciated their hospitality without feeling like my privacy was compromised. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next visit!

Lorelei, David, and their dogs were such a delight to stay with! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming -- which was appreciated after a long drive! The room itself was spacious, clean and incredibly peaceful. All the listed amenities were also available for us. We'd love to go back and stay with them again!

John was a lovely host, and the apartment was wonderful. The location was a great starting point from which to explore the surrounding area. Super peaceful, and the bed was so comfy. At night, you can see the stars through the skylights, which was great. The place had everything needed for a short stay, would definitely recommend!

Thanks for a great stay. We had everything we needed in the house with wonderful access to a lovely sandy beach. We enjoyed the use of the paddle boards to explore the expansive shoreline. The location is near some walking trails in the woods which our dog really enjoyed. The cottage was adjacent a public beach which was busy on the weekends, however nice and siren on the weekdays to sit and watch the sunrise. We would certainly recommend and stay again.

Wow, just wow. What a gorgeous place, perfect for my 3-day solo writing & business planning retreat -- perfect for solo but it really does sleep 6! It's spacious, airy, & as clean as you'd expect when you're asked to remove shoes downstairs. It's really well organized, so it's easy to find everything, esp in the kitchen. Janice & Garry were easy to reach, often responding within minutes, & were super-friendly and helpful. Within minutes we were chatting like old friends. They've done an amazing restoration of the church, designing around original architectural elements. The loft has (literally) cathedral ceilings, with original beams & joists painted bright white, all the better to reflect sunlight pouring in from the deck. Original artwork is tastefully displayed throughout, adding special warmth & interest. The climb to the bell tower is an adventure; the reward, a jewel of a meditation room, with floor-to-ceiling windows & panoramic views of river & forest. Highly recommended!

Words can’t properly express how peaceful this location is, and what amazing hosts Victoria and George are. I was there for a quiet few days with my dog, and Victoria and George made it the most comfortable and serene experience. I recommend enjoying a lovely homemade lunch at the restaurant/post office/general store in town, then coming back to a fire that George creates for you, in their well appointed living room. Enjoy the sauna, reading room, and views, and experience a get away like no other. I’ve already secured a return trip in a few months!

Located on the way to the Mauricie National Park, the bedroom, the kitchen and the bathroom and in general the house of P-Yves are very well maintained! We feel good there! The SPA is large and allows you to relax.

We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend. We have two young children and this was the perfect couples getaway. The Airbnb was so quiet and cozy. We slept so peacefully after long hiking days. Sue is an amazing cook and breakfast was delicious! Early hikes and travel plans didn’t allow us to always eat in person, but Sue and Eric thoughtfully prepared delicious baked goods and fruit for us. They were quick with communication and extremely organized. Everything was very clean too. I would stay here again and hope to in the future when we are back to visit Acadia.

Linda and Ted are very welcoming hosts and have a beautiful home. We had a great weekend and would definitively consider going back.

Even though I had been to Acadia area several times, I never realized what a sweet town Southwest Harbor is. This is a prime location for anyone wanting access to the national park. It's a relief to stay on the "quiet side" of the island. This accommodation is amazing for its value, roominess, hospitality, cleanliness, and ease of parking. Carol provides a lot of tips regarding local "must-sees" from the point of view of someone who really knows the area. She has thought of everything that will make your stay comfortable and convenient.

We had a really nice stay at Jody and Geoffs! We were a bit early in Gananoque because we had to catch our cruise and were able to check in early, which was very nice. The accomodation was clean and super cozy, we felt right at home. Also the breakfast was insanely delicious, thank you Geoff :)

From booking the reservation to per arrival, arrival and departure Nancy could not have been any friendlier and welcoming in her home, as we were in town for the Dartmouth Graduation. The room was perfect and the bed very firm and comfortable. The best part was the amazing gourmet breakfast. I highly recommend, if you are looking for a lovely quaint home while visiting Hanover or Dartmouth!

Catherine's home was just right for us, private setting in the country, a suite all to ourselves, use of the kitchen and beautiful garden and area to walk in. We could hear the peepers by the near-by pond once it got dark. Catherine and Todd were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our conversations together. We learned about a park just down the road with a trail to the top of a small mountain that overlooks the near-by lake. We would love to stay again in the future.

My partner and I loved our stay here while in town for a wedding. Sally was accommodating to our fluid plans, communicated well, plus a friendly and welcoming host. :) The room and home were as described- clean, comfortable, and spacious. Appreciated the bonus treats for breakfast, too!

This place was our favorite on our two week trip through New England. It is in the middle of nature and totally quiet, surrounded by trees and green only. We were personally greeted by Jason - which we appreciated a lot - and got all the information necessary for our stay. The room was beautiful, fresh flowers by the nightstand, an old record player to use and really nice bed sheets and linens. Complementary breakfast was delicious with a good cup of Italian coffee. We both wished we could have stayed longer.

What a beautiful space! Such an easy spot to put our trailer ! The grass was pristine and so clean ! No dirt in our trailer at all . The hosts were so kind and friendly . We shared the space with their bunkie and we could barely tell they were there ! They have both spots positioned in a way where it still feels very private ! The boat was free to use and we had a nice sunset ride followed by a lovely campfire with a great view Of the lake !

Margaret was fantastic and we enjoyed visiting with her in the mornings while drinking our coffee. Breakfast was fabulous every day and Margaret went out of her way to provide delicious food that everyone liked. We loved our visit here!

Eric was really thoughtful and prepared everything we needed. The coast here is great for a walk and it's easy to get to the ferry terminal. Thanks to Eric and his dog Aslan for a great two days.

This is a beautiful place for 12 people to gather and celebrate. We filled the house with love, joy, and music. Tracey is responsive and helpful. Fantastic!

Our stay at Laetitia and Dono's was very pleasant. The family is charming and the cottage is very warm. Breakfast is delicious and the presentation is appetizing. This atypical house, located in the heart of nature, is a haven of Peace and Love. It's refreshing!

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming bed and breakfast! The peaceful atmosphere and rustic charm made it the perfect escape for a girls night. The food was incredible—each meal was homemade, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Claire & Matt were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. We had the loveliest stay at the Bower Kip B&B. I am having a hard time deciding what the highlight was during our stay - everything was so pleasant. Carol and Roger were such gracious hosts and their home was truly breathtaking. The service and communication were top notch and everything was squeaky clean. The worst part of our stay was having to leave our beautiful weekend retreat. I highly recommend staying at the Bower Kip B&B if you're looking to treat yourself and your loved one(s) to a quiet and cozy weekend getaway with amazing service provided by the hosts. You will not regret it!
