We had a lovely time at Shore Shack! The cabin is spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. We watched a gorgeous sunset through the trees from the hot tub, and though the rest of the weekend was foggy and rainy, we loved being able to storm-watch from such a cozy, comfortable space. Dorian was a friendly and responsive host. Highly recommend Shore Shack to anyone wishing to visit this beautiful part of the province!

Awesome place! Easy to find and awesome location. Shower was hot quickly. Bed was firm (which we love). Would go there again!

This cottage was everything we hoped for and more! The setting was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful — perfect for a relaxing escape. The hot tub and sauna were such a treat, and we loved how private everything felt. It was just what we needed to unwind and recharge. The waterfall nearby was stunning and added such a magical touch to the whole experience. My partner and I definitely plan on coming back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene and memorable stay!

Well located, close to a beautiful public beach and small access to the water to see splendid sunsets. Very peaceful area, several dogs in the neighborhood.

This cottage is such a magical place! We loved our time on the lake. We swam, kayaked, had camp fires, roasted marshmallows, enjoyed the sunsets, played board games and relaxed in the beautiful and spacious cottage. It was honestly the best family vacation we’ve ever had. I can’t recommend this cottage enough. Oh, and it’s owned by a sweet little family who were so, so nice and accommodating. It was just a perfectly lovely experience! ❤️

This was great cozy, cottage. We we were pleasantly surprised! The inside was very nicely decorated and was definitely enough space for my husband and I, and our two dogs. It was so nice to relax enjoy a sunset and make a fire in the fire pit after a long day. We were greeted by the welcome committee (black cat) numerous times. The cottage had everything we needed. My dog really enjoyed swimming in the lake. Thanks so much and we would definitely consider staying here again

A great cozy getaway for a couple. You don’t always want a giant expensive place that sleeps 8. This perfect for 2 people, full of funky decor, well equipped and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back!

We loved our stay! Everything was so beautiful and comforting. The string lights allowed us to not use the overhead lights which was very nice when the sun went down. The binder with things to do, see, & eat was an amazing cheat sheet to the area. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future!

This was one of the highlights of our Nova Scotia trip. Peter and Hendrix were excellent hosts and the cottage was very thoughtfully set up with everything we could need for our stay. We really enjoyed Chef Hendrix's delicious breakfasts, kayaking around Molega lake and watching hummingbirds by the porch. This is also a great home base for visiting Kejimkujik, which is a short drive away.

Smugglers Cove was amazing! So cozy and perfect for a getaway. Angela was gracious and hospitable and left lots of brochures for things to do in the area. It was easy to find and had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. It was very clean and in a lovely quiet area. We'll definitely recommend and will be back!

Jane and her cottage were spectacular. We were looking for a place to unwind and decompress, and this was all that plus the bonuses of a luxuriously appointed, thoughtfully decorated and absolutely spotless home, with an unparalleled view of the ocean in its ever-changing moods, shimmering sunsets and moonrises, cavorting seagulls and flocks of geese, and a soundtrack of waves, songbirds and gull calls. We felt welcomed like houseguests at a good friend's home who had just stepped out for a little bit. We forgot to look for the fabled map drawer (mentioned by another reviewer) but were intrigued by the many books on the shelves by Maine authors, and short stories that we read aloud to each other. One of us walked the 4.5 mile loop trail, rugged but well worth the effort, if one is up to it, for the wild coast and ancient forests. We both sat on the chairs at ocean's edge to drink it all in. This was the very best B&B we've ever stayed at. Kudos to Jane for making her home available!

Ann’s place in Sedgwick exceeded our expectations in every way. Exquisitely designed and appointed with no need left unmet. The location in the Maine woods was peaceful, with many excellent restaurants and small towns to visit, and Acadia National Park just an hour away. Ann is a superb host who provided us with all the local tips (and treats) and was a pleasure to meet. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind in comfort and style, look no further. 10 stars!

Even better than the pictures. Jodi and Marc were so welcoming, but gave us space. We felt so at home. The bed is really comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the pond was perfect for swimming with the dogs. They even left us some homemade walnut rhubarb bread to enjoy. Would absolutely stay here again.

Five stars are not enough for this lovely accommodation. The setting was serene, quiet and accessible to all that the area has to offer; we got married at Acadia National Park and spent the rest of the week here. It couldn’t have been more perfect! The hosts, Carrie and Adam, were extremely kind, thoughtful and responsive. We will definitely want to come back soon.

What a lovely place to stay! Right on the water and very private and peaceful. Sitting outside with the view of the water was so beautiful. The inside was clean and nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Melanie was SO nice and accommodating and was an absolute pleasure to talk with. My boyfriend and I accidentally locked ourselves out and Melanie and her husband were so quick to help us and were at our door within 15 minutes. They were so lovely. We would definitely love to come back to this place and spend a few more days here!

Lovely home with excellent views of the Machias Bay. It’s a bit out of the way from most of the well-known tourist spots in Maine, so just something to keep in mind when booking. That said, it’s a beautiful, quiet place in Downeast Maine. We loved watching the tide roll in and out and spotting the birds and other wildlife each day (including the porcupine on day one!). Easy access to Jasper Beach, West Quoddy Lighthouse, Cutler Coast Preserve, Roque Bluffs State Park, and Downeast Adventure ATV rentals plus the Sunrise Trail more than made up for being off the beaten path. Michael was an extremely responsive host and made check-in and check-out a breeze. In a sea of difficult hosts and overly complex checkout procedures, this was a huge win.
