Sarah's cottage in the middle of the vineyard was a great place to stay. It is peaceful and the scenery was beautiful, while being convenient to many areas in the Bordeaux region. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Sarah and her apprentice, Samuel, were very friendly and accommodating. The wine tasting and tour were really interesting. We would definitely stay here again.

Our party (5 couples) stayed at the property looking for an authentic experience of French food and wine, and hoping for a bit of rustic luxury sprinkled on top and this place did not disappoint. Everyone was blown away by the house's beautiful interiors, exteriors and amazing views. The house had everything we needed (and more). We loved the large outdoor table where we could all sit comfortably for a social breakfast and enjoy the stunning vistas. The location of the house is superb, surrounded by beautiful views and very peaceful. The bike ride to St Emillion took us along quiet country roads, meandering past many exquisite chateaus and vineyards. Finally, special mention to our wonderful host Ellie who couldn't do enough for us. Great recommendations, excellent local knowledge, extremely helpful and thoughtful, super fast to respond to any messages, and really flexible and generous.

Château Le Grave is a beautiful property and was a wonderful choice for our group holiday. We had a lovely stay and found the house very comfortable. The photos don’t quite do it justice—it’s even more charming in person. The kitchen is well-equipped, which made cooking for our group easy and enjoyable. There were a few small issues that affected the overall experience. There wasn’t quite enough toilet paper provided for the weekend, the pool area didn’t have lighting at night, and we encountered an electrical issue that we needed to resolve ourselves. I noticed similar mentions in past reviews, so it may be worth addressing these for future guests. Communication with the host could have been more positive. There was some confusion regarding the cleaning fee, which had already been included in the booking total, and we were asked to pay extra for a few broken glasses, which seemed inexpensive to replace. That said, the property itself is truly lovely and we had a great time.

Good large house overall - good spot for a family. The location is very residential so not much to do around and not super close to the city centre by foot. The parking is good for 1 car so if you are multiple families it may be a bit tough. The house was clean, good appliances and amenities in the kitchen so perfect to cook. The outdoor space is nice and adds a plus to the house. The host is not super fast to respond and the check in is very late so to note if you have children as you can’t enter before 5pm. Very kids friendly and enough space for families to be around and feel at ease.

We stayed here for our first family holiday with our 5 month old and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place for it. As others have mentioned, the property and grounds are even more beautiful than the photos suggest. The property had everything we could need. It was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with high quality finishes and furnishings. It really felt like a home from home. The hosts were kind enough to provide baby equipment too so everything was very easy for the 3 of us. Portets is lovely, with a bakery, pharmacy & supermarket, which was ideal for us as we cooked all our meals at the house. We didn’t have a car but managed with just these facilities nearby, as we were very happy just spending time by the pool & in the house. We also walked to one of the vineyards for a tour which was great. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the loungers, including the cabana which offered some shade. We would recommend this property without hesitation and can’t wait to return!

Our stay in Grignols was absolutely perfect - without a doubt the best Airbnb experience I have had. Nicolas was extremely responsive and helpful ahead of the trip, and Ludo also did everything he could whenever we needed something. The location itself is lovely and remote while you can still access the town should you need, and the property feels like real luxury with loads to do. Thanks so much Nicolas - we really appreciate it.

We had the best week in this beautiful house. The outlook and the facilities were perfect and Lili was a fantastic host. Would recommend.

Exceptionally clean accommodation! Quiet, functional and well-equipped. The bedding is comfortable. Beautiful terrace overlooking a green setting where you can, with a little luck, see a squirrel playing in the trees. 20 minutes from Bordeaux, it is appreciable to visit this beautiful city. We will go back without hesitation. See you soon…

comfortable small house near Bordeaux

Ideally located near the castle of Montesquieu, 500 m away, I noticed in the cottage of Charline, the supply of all hygiene/maintenance products in sustainable development presentation. The forest environment is conducive to walks and hikes, and access to Bordeaux and the Arcachon basin is easy. I recommend this stay. Jean-François

Fabrice is very hospitable and proudly showed us the location. The location has good beds, sofa and chairs. And everything is well and properly finished. We didn't cook there, but that could easily be done. The bathroom and separate toilet were neat and spacious enough.

The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious, our stay was pleasant. Very clean, thank you to Cassandra and Anthony for their responsiveness and speed in responding to messages ☺️

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful cottage. It was spacious and the quality of the bedding was a standout. Our family really enjoyed the Scandinavian experience with the sauna and the spa - a must visit for the winter! My husband and I recently returned from a month-long stay at Alexandre and Precillia’s home. Our stay was perfect in every sense. The home was exactly as pictured, the location unbeatable for exploring all of Bordeaux and several day trips to the Left and Right Bank as well as Arcachon, etc. The walking distance to the tram and local grocery store(s) was also a nice benefit. A bit more about the home, it was very clean, well-organized and extremely comfortable. The washing machine and basement space were also very convenient; the basement kept our wine purchases at a perfect temperature! We felt safe and secure. It must be noted I am a persnickety traveler; we would stay again. Alexandre and Precillia we great hosts, accommodating, thoughtful and always available for questions or assistance. Your stay will not be disappointing.

Great stay. The house is very clean and so well-decorated! Small plus much appreciated: crib and mattress provided, towel for the pool, very functional kitchen as at home. The house is located in a very quiet residential area. Tram C a few minutes by car with a relay parking to visit Bordeaux. Sandrine is very responsive! We recommend it!

We had an extraordinary stay at Marie's. She was of a rare and precious kindness and kindness. We even had some explanations about the heritage history of this beautiful house, a perfect weekend. The terraces and views of the Dordogne are absolutely magnificent and the interior spaces are very beautiful and well-equipped. We 100% recommend the place and Marie's kindness contributed to the success of our event.

A perfect accommodation to discover the Bordeaux region and Quinsac in particular. In a beautiful little village, surrounded by vineyards and castles, you can enjoy a very pleasant climate. Finally, very close to Bordeaux, you can visit the city and enjoy the quiet evening in a very relaxing accommodation.

We've been booking through AirBnB for a number of years, but this was the most beautiful and cleanest to date. The location was also more than good. In the middle of a residential area in a cul-de-sac alley. It was very quiet and a short walk to downtown.

Emma is a warm, caring person who is concerned about the well-being of the people she welcomes. I'd recommend it without a second thought. The heated pool is a must. We had a great time. Emma was very understanding because we had a baby and did her best so that we could arrive before the time indicated.
