Kathrine was amazing! There was a slight hiccup when checking in, which was not her fault, and she responded quickly and handled the issue immediately. The surroundings were peaceful and we loved staying there.

✨ I came to Gotham City Cabins for peace, and left with so much more. As a solo traveler, this was the reset I didn’t know I deeply needed. The cabin was peaceful, clean, and perfectly tucked into nature. I took rose petal bubble baths, meditated by the koi pond, and reconnected with God in the stillness of it all. The host? A true gentleman — respectful, kind, and quietly powerful. The “Gotham” theme is spot on… because real-life superheroes do exist. I was honestly a little intimidated at first by his presence and accomplishments, but I left feeling inspired, safe, and seen. Chivalry is not dead — it just lives here. If you’re looking for luxury, nature, and deep peace — especially as a woman traveling solo — this is your place. I came to heal. This was exactly the vacation we were looking for. Quiet area, easy to find right on the lake. The house is an older home with a lot of charm. I loved the stone walkway to the lake and the fact the house was not right on the road. The beds were comfortable which I think is hard to find. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I want to say this place was so at home. I felt we were in cabin and being rural, at the same time so close to whatever we needed. the surrounding was absolutely breathtaking. The cabin was so clean and equipped. My son loved the fact he could stay in loft by himself, and still being close to us. we loved to hear birds, and rooster singing around and we also meet some locals and neighbors; very friendly. Robin and Jay were so kind when I needed to talk to them and John helped me to find the local event, even though we didn't go (we had so much fun just being at cabin). No actual electricity! Not a problem, but less apparent on listing! They accommodate appropriately (generator charging and a fan to be used and headlamp for walk to bathhouse). Overall, wonderful stay and great - just would like more realistic expectation on listing :)

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin. It’s a great location to take day trips and go out for meals. The home was in great condition and had what we needed. Danielle was very responsive. The pontoon boat is an amazing feature to have and we enjoyed taking it out. The hill to get to the lake from the house was quite steep and may be difficult for some people to navigate - just something to be aware of. The actual home / host / experience were all excellent!

Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, they made sure I had everything I needed without ever being intrusive. Their local recommendations were spot on, and it was clear they put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. If you’re looking for a serene escape with top-notch hospitality, this chalet is a fantastic choice. I will absolutely return.

Peaceful location just minutes from hiking trailheads. We enjoyed the firepit, listening to the birds, the cozy bed, and the fantastic outdoor shower. We hope to return sometime.

Perfect place for a relaxing weekend getaway right on the water. The hosts were very responsive and equipped the house with everything you could need. They provided a fire pit, grill, kayaks, and canoes which were perfect activities given the weather. There are houses nearby but it still felt like we had our privacy. We would definitely rent this house again and come back to Lake Norman!

This cabin was surprisingly tucked away in a pine grove. The seclusion and unique setting make this a spot I’d love to come back to! Next time, I’ll bring the golf bag…

Gil’s place was amazing! There are no worlds to describe the view! So clean , peaceful, felt just like home! Plenty of space, well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture and beds! He is so responsive, so kind , funny, and genuine! I will recommend this amazing cabin over and over! I can’t wait for our next stay!
