Sabine is an exceptional host, going above and beyond to make you feel at home and enjoy the beautiful village of Lagrasse. She is an ideal host for unilingual English speakers as she can introduce and explain the life of the village. The guest suite is exceptional, beautifully decorated with everything you could possible need, with considerate extras, like an umbrella and a basket to use at the market. The kitchen is well equipped. Visiting in December I very much enjoyed the woodstove after being outside all day. EstWest is an exceptional value. It is right in the heart of the village and Sabine can enhance your stay by introducing you to Lagrasse. It is a beautiful and not well known part of France, and one of my favourite places.

Very warm welcome, very responsive host, very good directions to get there Emmanuelle is very attentive and gives good advice. The accommodation is beautiful and perfect for our biker friends.

We had a very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful week here. The house was really clean and comfortable and we felt very much at home. The terrace in particular was a lovely space to read a book and enjoy our morning coffee. And those views! We definitely recommend a meal or two at La Petite Artois, the food is great and they are very friendly. The location is good for visiting several Cathar castles nearby and the countryside is breathtaking and at this time of year with wildflowers everywhere. Anna was very helpful and easy to contact. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the area. It was a really lovely holiday.

Very private, perfectly maintained, an exceptional terrace, carefully furnished, lots of amenities, special congratulations to Roxane... we feel like she is available 24/7 as she responds quickly. We highly recommend it!!

We had a wonderful two night stay at this beautiful cabin. The view is fantastic, even from the bed - which is huge and incredible comfortable. The cabin has everything you need and Tijs was super friendly and always helpful on everything. This is the perfect place if you seek solitude and peace.

SPECTACULAR!!! We travel a lot and stay at AirBNB's quite a bit (7 on this trip to Europe alone). We've stayed in both cheaper and more expensive ones, but never before has there been a better value in all the years that we've used AirBNB. The apartment is gorgeous! Everything is renovated and new. And the location even better! This is a MUST book in you're headed to Roses. It's in the Santa Margarida area that faces Roses, which make is such a great place. The view of the mountainside in Roses (only 6 mins away) reminded us of the Amalfi Coast in Italy. You don't want to stay in Roses looking this way, as there's nowhere near the beauty from afar. And Paola was the best host we've ever had. Proactive, but not overbearing and we needed nothing; everything was there and everything was explained. There are 3 AC's in this 1 bedroom unit (including 1 in the bathroom!), great wifi, a priceless balcony overlooking the canal to the sea AND beach chairs/umbrellas, etc! Don't think twice!!!

Have to say this is one of the best AirBnb apartments we've stayed in. Everything was as described, beautiful and spotlessly clean. The balcony area is secluded and quiet. It gets the sun for most of the day and did get hot (it was 38c on one day!) but there is a retractable canopy which helped a bit. We used the shuttle bus from Carcassonne airport to the SNCF station. It's only a 5 min walk from there to the apartment. We were met at the front door by Vincent who gave us the keys and a tour of the accommodation. Vincent was very responsive and we were able to arrange an early check-in given that the apartment wasn't in use on the day before. It's about 3 mins walk to Place Carnot, where there are lots of restaurants and a good vibe but we found the bistros a short walk away from the square, Le Bistrot d'Alice and Le Bis-Troquet, to be better quality and value. We have no hesitation recommending this apartment as a great place to stay.

Isabelle and Franck are really lovely hosts, who welcomed us very well and advised us on our excursions. Their accommodation, totally independent, is comfortable and very well equipped (nothing is missing!), nicely arranged, and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding reliefs. The superbly maintained grounds and garden, and without neighbors, allowed us to spend good moments of tranquility. The cottage is ideally located to mix nature hikes, visits to Cathar castles, Carcassonne, trips to the seaside (Banyuls and Collioure just over an hour away)... In summary, we highly recommend it!
