Great cottage on the coastal road that runs around the tuk-tuk (peninsula) where the majority of hotels and homestays are located. Closer to Ambarita. Right next door to a lovely coffee shop/restaurant and within walking distance of cultural/historical locations in Ambarita. A short becok ride to Tabo Cottages or Tomok (the host can arrange the becok(s) for you). Bedrooms are upstairs. The queen size bed has a room with a door on it for privacy. The other three beds (a bunk bed and a single bed) don't have a separation door from the stairwell. Half-bath between the two sleeping areas. Kitchen has a few helpful necessities (hot water pot, salt, sugar, flatware, etc.) but it's obvious that heavy cooking isn't really expected. TV gets some local television stations via satellite. Everything is clean and comfortable. Hosts are friendly and responsive via SMS or Airbnb messaging.

Everything was good. No fans and ac but it was very cold especially at night. Clean and tidy.

Really appreciate to host hospitality and clear information for check in/out purposes. Key box is something a professional way to find door key. Entirely house was clean and complete with kitchen stuffs which lovely for a family. Recommended for a big family as house has 4 big rooms and living room. My friend and I rented a bike to reach the far corners of the island, while we used a canoe and a boat to explore the beauties of Lake Toba. A week in the village offers the perfect escape from the large city lifestyle, immersing you into the peaceful and harmonious countryside experience. Oh, and the selection of home-made wines and spirits? A delightful surprise! The stay left us with nothing but warm memories and emotions. Highly recommended!
