La Dolce Vi(s)ta

La Dolce Vista – a beautiful retreat for those who want to experience Italy authentically, relaxed and in comfort. Ideal for 2-4 people You occupy an entire, independent house – perfect for couples and small families, friends, or remote workers. You will experience the wonderful combination of a typical Ligurian village house – flooded with light, with vaulted ceilings throughout – and a contemporary feel. There is a spacious bedroom (1.80 m bed) as well as a studio (1.60 m bed). Alternatively, the sofa bed in the living room can also be used (1.60m). Life on the terrace The large terrace is the highlight of the house – breakfast with great sea views, dinner at sunset, lounging on the sunbeds. Shade under the sun roof is always guaranteed – plenty of sun if you want. In summer, life definitely takes place on the terrace. Cooking like in Italy You will find a fully equipped kitchen with new pots and pans, good knives, a classic mocha pot and a Nespresso machine, white dishes, stainless steel cutlery and plenty of glasses – everything is there for hearty breakfasts, small snacks and enjoyable evenings at home. Water, beer, a few coffee capsules, pasta and pesto are always available when you arrive. Simply replace what is used for the next guests😊 Right next to the kitchen is the living room with a dining table for four and a cozy sofa for relaxing, which can be used as a guest bed if necessary (160 cm). The bedroom has a new 1.80 m upholstered bed, an empty dresser & wardrobe for your clothes, empty shelves for your belongings and – very important – a Nespresso machine for the first coffee in bed 😊. An old wardrobe, the play of sunlight on the bare floor and the chirping of the swifts give the room a lot of atmosphere. The air conditioning system ensures the necessary sleeping temperature. Right next door is the comfortable, large, bright bathroom with a double sink, spacious shower, washing machine and plenty of space for everything you need. The large studio on the ground floor with direct access to the alley offers not only the 1.60-meter bed and plenty of space for your clothes, but also a wonderful workspace with a view. Perfect for remote work or creative hours (good internet, with two screens and an external keyboard on request for more comfortable work with your notebook). Ideal: There is also a small bathroom with a toilet and hand sink. The studio is integrated into the house by a small passageway and staircase, but has no door to the hallway. This is not a problem because it is one floor lower than the other rooms and is not very visible from the hallway – you have to make a great effort to catch a glimpse of the room. Note for families & guests with mobility issues: The house is not accessible and, unfortunately, due to the open stairways on three floors, it is not ideal for small children or people with mobility issues. Typical Liguria The idyllic, green village is located on a hill just 5 minutes by car from the sea and the Pista – that great new walking/biking path along the sea on the old railway track. In just 10 minutes you can also reach the various beaches with beach bars, small restaurants, and great ice cream. In the village itself, you will find a charming combination of bar, restaurant and alimentari – all in one. Here you can get fresh rolls, your morning espresso or even a simple Ligurian dinner. Poggi still has village life – you always meet Italians in the alleys on their way somewhere. Always friendly, often up for a chat. A car is ideal, but some villagers simply use the bus as well. Imperia itself is attractive with both a great old town and beautiful arcades for strolling and shopping, small shops, good wine shops and numerous restaurants. Best of all: Imperia has remained an Italian city. Variety of beaches & coastal flair The beaches here around Imperia have been rated as the cleanest in Italy for years, especially because of the clear water. In just 10 minutes you can reach the family-friendly beach of San Lorenzo or, in the other direction, the city beaches of Imperia – including the Art Nouveau bath on the pier, the popular Bar Moletto and a fantastic view of Porto Maurizio with the largest basilica in Liguria. A real highlight, especially in the evening! Hiking & cycling For active vacationers, Poggi is a dream: The famous Pista Cicabile, a panoramic bike path on a disused railway line, runs directly along the coast. The routes of the Giro d'Italia and the legendary Milan–Sanremo bike race also run through the neighboring villages here – so it's obviously a good area for cyclists. Benvenuti a casa! Enjoy it as we enjoy it. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Irma
