Children are welcome; however, the cabin overlooks a pond, so it's crucial that children are always supervised. This is quiet community with long term/ permanent residents. Not far from NASA/ hospitals/and Galveston. Kemah is only 20 minutes away. Local winery is a few miles down the rode. .

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This is a newly constructed 400 square foot open concept cabin with an additional 200 sq ft loft. It is on a private lot with water front views, highland bayou. You can enjoy fishing, crabbing, kayaking, or just relax to watch the sunset. There is a 10X20 deck you can sit and soak in the view. The firepit, swing, and grill are located on the property. It is only 11 miles from Galveston Island. Bring mosquito spray as it’s on the water front.

The Barracks at Cedar Oaks Inn

This historic 1917 Ellington Airforce base that was moved onto the property in 1927. Its unique design is a carefree style, with no details left untouched, with antiques and original art. The back courtyard is equipped with and outdoor kitchen side patio, water feature and fireplace. There is a garden bath with side-by-side clawfoot tubs and shower outside. This is a dog friendly cabin 30lbs or less. Enjoy the front porch with a cup of coffee or wine and watch the chickens.
