Caserío Aurrecoetxe

Aurrekoetxe is a typical Basque farmhouse in the Mañaria area that is over 300 years old. Located below Mount Mugarra, on its southern face, it is surrounded by nature adjacent to the Urkiola Natural Park and just 2 km from the urban center of Mañaria. I live with my mother and my two daughters aged 14 and 11 in the same building but with another separate entrance, respecting the privacy of the guests and our own. We'll be happy to help you with whatever you need.

Restored fondly, it is a warm and small detached house with everything you need to feel at ease. Tucked on a wild fertile mountain a 400 year old barn was renovated by artists with natural materials. It is crooked, it is colourful, it is wild and will throw you in an another universe for the time of your stay. You have to be nimble on your feet as the tiny access path is crooked and on a slope, and even the floor in the house tilted. A full immersion in a new world for total disconnection.

The Tree House: Refugio Bellota

The tree house was born from our dream of building a magical space near the forest where we live! The house lives with a young oak tree, it is also in front of the large beech forest and you can hear the river that passes right in front. It is totally suspended in the abyss but its stability and firmness are surprising. Our idea is to enjoy it while sharing it with you.

La antigua sacristía de San Esteban se encuentra emplazada en un paraje único. Construida en la transición del Gótico / Renacimiento se puede datar en el año 1540. Conserva su estructura original y parte sus pinturas.

The Chulavista Dome is a geodesic dome high up in the trees. Our two-storey treehouse is built around 3 Fresnos (European Ash), a tree native to Cantabria. The huge windows and large terrace offer panoramic views of the valley, mountains and forests.
