Pet-friendly holiday rentals in São Miguel Island

Andre was a fantastic host. There was a very generous welcome basket, including wine, waiting for us on the kitchen table. He responded quickly to our inquiries and provided a very helpful list of local attractions and restaurants. The house was well equipped, very clean and perfectly located for exploring Sao Miguel. We would definitely recommend this house and Andre as a host.

We were happy in every way. And, of course, we're sad to leave this toe of tomatoes. It's in a magical place with a private, tidy garden. With nice neighbors. Our hosts Janine and Lino were quick to respond to all our questions and requests. They were courteous and thoughtful. We are truly grateful that they made our month-long stay, our honeymoon, unforgettable. If we ever spend time in the Azores again, there is no question where we stay. We had the best time at Maria‘s cozy cottage. You can enjoy the big garden and a great view over the ocean, accompanied by two lovely cats. The cottage is small but you have everything you need. André, Maria and her husband are very friendly. We had some nice conversations with them. We would love to visit this place again soon!

The check-in was extremely easy and flexible, with the key stored in a safe. Joana had proactively provided us with all the relevant information beforehand. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Maria Madalena. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and modernly furnished—we felt right at home! Additionally, a selection of delicious local products awaited us. We were able to park our car directly in front of the door on the sidewalk. We had an incredibly beautiful week in Mosteiros and would gladly come back anytime. Muito obrigado, Maria Madalena and Joana!

spectacular host and location!

We felt right at home with Jéssica. When we arrived at the accommodation, we were greeted with wine, delicious cheese, fruits and more. The place was as described and clean. The apartment is well located, you have your peace, shopping facilities are available and everything is easily accessible by car. Unfortunately, the oven had problems and Jéssica had a new one installed the very next day. The communication was very good and we were always helped quickly. Unfortunately, the bed is a bit uncomfortable, the rest was perfect. We enjoyed the time very much.

Amazing stay would definitely come back to this beautiful property. Interior was clean and homey apart from one encounter with a cockroach-that is apparently normal at this time of year but wish we were given a heads up. Host was always quick to respond and managed to check us in early which was greatly appreciated for our early flight.

The host Cristina was great. Very responsive to questions and requests. The house was amazing. Lots of room, great pool. I would recommend booking the house if you are going to stay in Sao Miguel. We stayed at Romy's place for 9 nights. In addition to the really great location (sea view while eating & great sunsets), the property was equipped with everything you could need. Next to the kitchen where everything was there for cooking, there were towels, pajamas, books and a barbecue. If you have any issues or questions, we always had a quick response. We were really warmly welcomed and would be happy to come back.

Our stay was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Peaceful. Nice to be out of downtown Ponta Delgada- but convenient enough to get to and enjoy the Festival and the city when we wanted to. The house is strategically located on the south shore and perfectly located to drive to the island’s sites. A couple very nice restaurants are within easy walking distance. The ocean pools are right across the street. We enjoyed whale watching, hiking and traversing the Island, seeing all the sites. Ludovic was a txt away and helped out whenever we needed! Our 8 day stay went by so quickly, but it was wonderful.

Alexandra is the best host you can imagine. She is very kind and reliable. The house is fantastic and well divided. The children had fun with the animals. I recommend booking and would love to come back again and again.

My stay at this Airbnb property was absolutely wonderful! One of the highlights was the clean and spacious swimming pool. It was a perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The pool area was well-maintained and provided a lovely oasis to soak up the sun. The house was equipped with everything needed for daily life, from kitchen essentials to cozy living spaces. It was clear that the host had thought of everything to make guests feel at home. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Accommodation with all the necessities near the sea and great viewpoints. Recommended.

This place was incredible. Very scenic and peaceful. We loved the sounds of the animals, the cows and the odd cat that would show up. This house was in pristine condition and very cozy. I’ve never had a more informative and smooth check in anywhere. The pool was exceptionally warm and perfect if you have kids. We would definitely recommend this place and come back.

My parents and I had a wonderful stay at Alain’s apartment in Vila Franca do Campo. The view from both balconies was stunning and completely unobstructed. The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed. It was clearly recently renovated, with a fresh, modern, and spotless feel throughout. There was plenty of parking available along the seawall, just a short two-minute walk from the apartment. Being right next to a fishing port added to the charm and authenticity of the location—we really enjoyed watching the fishermen return with their daily catch.

Maria was a wonderful host. Great communication and friendly. She not only let us check-in early but she allowed us to leave our luggage when checking out due to our flight being delayed. The place looks exactly like the pictures. For anyone with mobility issues please be aware that there is a flight of stairs up to the house when you enter, plus there are stairs up to 4 bedrooms. The outside space had amazing views, and if the weather cooperates it’s a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring. We were unfortunate that the weather was not the best. I recommend Maria’s house.

Great big apartment. Very well located. With the rented car, everything was easily accessible. The place was wet and chilly. The host controlled it remotely. When we were able to clarify this, we had a pleasant temperature! Very decent. The dog was adorable and our hosts very friendly!

Very good welcome, we arrived a little late but Carlos was waiting for us.. Accommodation is well located with a beautiful view very well equipped. It has everything you need. Carlos was very attentive and attentive to our well-being. I highly recommend it.. The sunset in the evening on the terrace is very pleasant!! Thanks again to Carlos for hosting us!

Thankyou Maria Luisa for sharing your WONDERFUL home with us. You have provided everything needed including an AMAZING view in a peaceful surrounding. You were always trying to make our visit perfect and you succeeded. From the overflowing welcome basket to arranging for fresh bread delivered to the gate post. The weather was less than ideal ( the worse in 50 years according to the locals), however a warm fire in the fireplace, heaters and plenty of warm blankets kept us very comfortable. There is the annoyance of barking dogs, unfortunately there is nothing more the host can do to correct this. We have encountered this issue on most of our stays in the Azores. The location is ideal for exploring the Island by car. We will definitely return to this beautiful oasis in Maia, overlooking the village and the ocean. We were looking to enjoy the amazing coast daily on foot and this spot was perfect. Very little elevation change to walk a 3 mile loop each day while enjoying the beauty of the coast from one end of town to the other. Beautiful sunset at the beach just steps away! The locals were very friendly and Andre will take the best of care to make sure you have an equally enjoyable experience!

Great Airbnb to explore the west side of the island, or just chill at home. Very homey!

Exactly as described. Celia met us there and it was Perfect check in. Comfortable, clean apartment. 20 minute walk to centre. Local bus stop within a few minutes walk. Some noise in the evenings but just day to day noise from the local community. Night time was quiet. We would stay again
