Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Sao Roque

Manuela was there to greet us and show us around. She answered our questions and had local restaurant recommendations. ( Cais 20 was my favorites and within walking distance ) There also is another restaurant nearby Jardim do Mar, with a small play area for kids. The house was exactly as depicted and clean. The view of the water is amazing. This location is close to downtown and night life. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

This place is amazing! We enjoyed the apartment for two weeks as our home base to explore Sao Miguel. With its location in Lagoa it is the perfect getaway from the business of Ponta Delgada but still close enough to go on early whale watching tours.. or to any direction on the island. The kitchen is very well setup - we could prepare meals on multiple days but also enjoyed the walks to the nearby restaurants.. With breakfast and dinner on the roof top terrace this place is a unique find and we will be happy to stay again! Thank you for making such a place a reality!

We had such a wonderful stay! The hosts were extremely proactive about helping us with any and all needs. We were traveling with a 1 year old baby and they had everything prepared for him including high chair and crib all set up. We are so glad we got to spend a wonderful week at this property. This is an old, converted fisherman’s cottage (we think). It’s a beautiful place with access to sea swimming pools right out the back garden gate. Easy walking distance to Lagoa along a coastal path leading right to the most amazing set of sea swimming pools (plus proper pools). Local cafe/bar/restaurant right on the doorstep. Kitchen was great, bathrooms clean and showers lovely and warm and powerful. Living space upstairs was fab - cosy in the rain but also perfect with the terrace door open in the evening. We have two young adult girls and one of them wasn’t comfortable sleeping in the communal space next to the kitchen but we easily moved her bed into the small room so she could sleep next to her sister. The only downside was that it was difficult to get things dry when it rained. Everything stayed damp and ended up smelling musty. In the wet, humid conditions the cottage feels a little damp. Generally speaking though, this is a great place. Highly recommend.

It was a bit hard to find the location originally as there are no numbers on the outside. We had a couple of issues at the beginning but Bruno was very responsive and fixed the issues quickly. The place was really nice, good location, great space to share with my children. We made good use of the hot tub and pool. Would recommend this place.

Absolutely breathtaking view of the coast. Lovely welcome basket with some local goodies and within walking distance of a nice little restaurant! Parking is limited and streets are tight so be prepared if bringing a car, there is a free lot right across the street. Small tourist tax will be charged that isn’t mentioned in the listing but overall a great place to stay! Thank you Fatima for sharing your home with us!

Fantastic place, 7 min to the airport and 10 min to Ponta Delgada. Plenty of parking. The apartment had all amenities, good bathrooms and showers, and you can even see the ocean from the balcony. Sofia and Andre are wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again next time.

This is hands down the best Airbnb my boyfriend and I have ever stayed at! The apartment is extremely well kept and has everything you could possibly need. In addition, Maria and Joao Paulo were the most amazing hosts! Here are the highlights: - Looks just like the photos! Super clean - In unit washer was amazing - Insane views of the water - Extremely well located (also less than 10 min from the airport!) - Maria and Joao Paolo were extremely responsive and proactive in giving us tips for the island and the apartment - They even made us a local dessert which was so good! - Truly the best hosts we’ve ever had I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone that is looking to experience Sao Miguel!

Don’t hesitate to book this lovely apartment. The view is heavenly, and Miguel goes above and beyond to be an excellent host (lots of treats left for guests, excellent communication, and very flexible). The location is wonderful. Although Moinhos itself is very small, it boasts a few restaurants/cafes, a gorgeous beach, and a wonderful waterfall hike - all without getting in your car (which you can park right outside the apartment door). Nearby Ribiera grande has everything you will need (groceries, gas etc) and the northern coast is the best for scenic views, hikes, and locals who are very friendly. This is our second time staying at Miguel’s place and it just seems to keep getting better (which is weird as we thought it was perfect in 2023). Enjoy your stay! The place was clean and convenient. There was a leak in the toilet that was quickly resolved.

Our stay at this Airbnb was truly a piece of heaven on earth. It was peaceful, beautiful, central and had everything we could have wanted for a perfect getaway. The property was stunning, but what made it even more special was Jose’s incredible hospitality. He gave us a full tour of the premises, sharing details about the fruit trees and how to harvest fresh fruit and eggs daily. He also brought us breakfast foods and helped us with rental car issues and recommendations for local spots. Jose’s kindness and genuine warmth made our stay unforgettable. It’s rare to meet someone so genuine and warm, and we feel lucky to have crossed paths with him. We also adored the cat living on the property—so sweet, adorable, and friendly! He added extra charm to our stay. Highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming getaway in the Azores!

Álvaro was an amazing host, the area was beautiful and he was able to provide many recommendations on stuff to do in the area. For others like us who wanted to explore the whole island it is a great central location that can get you to all sides in under an hour. Definitely will be recommending to our friends and family who will be visiting the island, thanks Álvaro!

The entire experience was wonderful. We were able to check in early, which was wonderful because our flight arrived at 6:30 AM. The space was absolutely spotless, smelled great and had everything we could possibly need. It is a beautiful space with little clutter and the patio made it even better. Nuno was VERY responsive and had already sent us information about our stay, including local recommendations. Nuno and Sandra thought of everything to make the space homey. We would give out stay 10 stars, amazing!

We really enjoyed staying at Isabel’s place. It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed sitting outside and in the cozy living room. The location was ideal for our daily road trips on this beautiful island. Isabel was very quick to respond to any question we had. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!!

Absolutely perfect Airbnb in so many ways - clean, lots of amenities, great location. We had 5 days here on Sao Miguel Island and Maria's condo was perfect. She left us snacks, wine and other little treats. Maria is incredibly generous and has great attention to detail. We highly recommend staying here.

Great apartment in an excellent location. Close to beach, supermarket, bar, cafe and on the bus line. Very quiet area. Our hosts were very gracious and friendly. Their hospitality and generosity exceeded our expectations to ensure that we were comfortable and that our stay on the island was enjoyable. Would most definitely recommend this apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nathan’s condo. Our day started and ended on the balcony, enjoying the ocean view, quite sure we even saw a pod of dolphins one morning! Kitchen is very well appointed with everything you need to cook some meals. Pingo Doce Supermarket is about a 2 minute drive and the beach really is a five minute walk. Very central location to get everywhere on the island - Nordeste was our furthest day trip and it took about an hour. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I had a most wonderful stay for 6 nights at the Ocean View 11. Before we committed to the reservation I could tell we had a lot in common with our hosts. We are an active, healthy athletic couple in our 70’s that love exploring, hiking, eating, conversing with locals and learning history. The unit is perfect and well described the way it is. I could always find parking within two blocks. The best rooms in the house are the awesome patio with oven view. We had all our breakfasts there. It’s quiet, spacious and modern. The malecón along the beach is awesome and great for a walk or run. I swam at the protected beach near it. The owners gave us an amazing list of recommended sites to visit and restaurants. Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. We went to almost all of the sites and then some. I highly recommend this stay and we personally intend to return more to explore the extreme eastern part os Sao Miguel as well and to visit the other islands Enjoy it
