Monthly Rentals in Saunavaara

Perfect stay in this beautiful old school turned into a place to stay for locals and travelers alike. The apartment was spacious, well equipped, clean and cozy. The surroundings are just lovely - you can ski and/or go snowshoeing right for the place. Everyone is so friendly. We can not recommend this place enough and hope to come back one day!

The location worked for me, 10km from the Pyhätunturi fell and about 50min drive from Sodankylä where I went daily to the film festival. The cottage was really well equipped, the kitchen had nice dishes and everything you need for cooking. A small amount of basic supplies (salt, pepper, oil, coffee, filter paper) was provided, which is even rare these days. Thank you! The interior worked well, at least in my eyes, there were a lot of small reasons for joy. It was nice that not everything was just Ikea, but there was a little more visibility in the dishes, furniture and textiles. The location was quiet, the bed comfortable, the sauna functional.. Nothing to improve, at least not for me. You could also try this in winter.

Spent relaxing weekend with a friend in this lovely old house. It is simple, comfortable and clean. Wallpapers, furniture etc. are all well chosen, good quality items. Sauna is very good. The picturesque quiet little village of Suvanto is perfect for walks, any time of the day.
