Serene Upstate NY Lake House Retreat

DawnRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We loved the location. Private and quiet. Very peaceful. The lake is just a few steps out the door. Watched the birds, fish jump, and playful otter. Host was helpful with conditions - lots of rain and was very soggy but we had great family time.

Waterfront Home with Sauna on Seneca Lake FLX

SaraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a wonderful 4-day stay in a perfect cottage for my 3 middle aged daughters and me on our “girls’ trip!” The house had everything we needed and was perfectly located for our visits to wineries, breweries, Watkins Glen State Park, Ithaca, and many other places in the Finger Lakes region. We loved our evenings by the fire pit with the stunning lake view and beautiful sunsets. The comfortable seating on the covered porch made our one rainy evening enjoyable, and we continued to have fun in the sturdily built game room which became our “safe place” during an unexpected tornado warning! Jaci’s communication was great, and we highly recommend staying at this lovely cottage!

Lakefront home Seneca Lake wine trail-Burdett

BrendaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This property was amazing! Our family is already talking about the idea of making this an annual destination. Most properties don't EXCEED what the listing shares and depicts, but this one did. The home is beautifully positioned on the lake and the views from the home are just gorgeous. It's in close proximity to many wineries, breweries, Watkins Glen and hiking. The home is extremely well stocked and appointed. Pristine. Clean and comfortable. The outside spaces are great--from firepit, to decks to outdoor bar and dock. We've already recommended this property to a friend! The process and interactions with Sofia were easy and went smoothly. Loved this place!

Hector Hideaway on Seneca

AbigailRating, 5 stars10 months ago
What an amazing place!!! The view and the porch were magical. It’s a such a special place where when you walk in, you unwind and decompress. The lake was so much fun. Loved kayaking and sitting on the dock. Being close to Watkins Glen State Park and the amazing restaurants in Burdett was great and there was always something to do. Leslie was great and was so accommodating when we had questions.

The hosts were so great! They were very responsive and assisted me with ensuring a great stay! The place was spotless and was perfect! It is called “The View” for a reason! It was breathtaking! Being able to cook and see the lake was spectacular! It was so peaceful and having access to the water was amazing! We will definitely be going back!

Quiet Upstate NY Waterfront Lakehouse

SylviaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a lovely lakeside retreat that provided a quiet getaway with friends and family. It was close to wineries and a short drive to Watkins Glen for hiking. When the water was cooperative (we had a few stormy days) kayaking was very fun. The kitchen was stocked with cookware (including a multi cooker and air fryer which we didn't use but were pleasantly surprised by) and the grill was easy to use. For those who plan to cook a lot while there, please note you have to bring all the ingredients, seasonings, etc including salt and oil with you. For those sensitive to light and sound, the second floor loft space is very bright in the morning and open to the living room area so maybe bring an eye mask and earplugs if there are differences in wake up times.

Beautiful Lakefront Property

BrianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely time. The highlight was kayaking around the lake on Noah’s kayaks and going up a stream which had beautiful nature and flowering lily pads. We also enjoyed swimming and eating out on the patio. Everything was as advertised.

Peaceful Cayuta Lake Cottage with early check in

CliffordRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We stayed here for a family wedding at the Fontainebleau Inn. The house was a five minute walk from the Inn, so it was very convenient. The fall foliage was beautiful and the cottage is in the perfect spot right on the lake. We couldn’t have asked for a more scenic and restful house. It was like something out of a fairytale!

Waneta Lakeside South

EmilyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We had a great time at this beautiful lake house. While there are close neighbors, they are quiet and the lakefront area feels very private thanks to the trees. The kayaking and rowboat were a lot of fun. The house has quality furnishings and newer appliances. When we had a concern arise (through no fault of the owners), Mary responded immediately even though it was nearly 10 pm. She made the situation right as soon as humanly possible (first thing in the morning) and her husband actually drove all the way from Pennsylvania to check in with us, though we didn't ask or expect this. While he was there he also installed a new lakefront ladder and chatted with us about area attractions. I highly recommend this home and especially these hosts, who truly care about their guests' experience.

Lakefront cottage on Waneta Lake!

ElenaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My bf & I travel often. This was the NICEST PLACE we’ve stayed via Airbnb. The cottage was spacious & the view was incredible! The beds are so comfortable & the place was immaculate. We spent almost our entire trip on the deck or on the dock. The fishing was INCREDIBLE! Kayaks are fun too! We hiked Watkins Glen. From the grocery stores, wineries, nautical activities & everything in between is all within 15mins or less from the cottage. The overall experience was a trip we’ll never forget. Waneta Lake is definitely the hidden gem of the Finger Lakes! You’re so close to all the other lakes too! I highly recommend this place! Worth EVERY PENNY! & cmon ppl it’s dirt cheap for waterfront! I’ve paid $550 or better a night at other places. Stephanie was so easy to work with. Her responses to my questions were prompt. Her & Kevin go above & beyond as Hosts! We loved it so much that we tried to book it again at the end of the month but it’s booked. We will 100% be back asap! Ty for everything!?

Seneca Sunset Couple's Cottage

StephanieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cottage is exactly as described and looked just like the pictures which is not always the case. We loved having coffee while listening to the birds and enjoying the view of the lake. On the days it rained it was a peaceful and quiet retreat to relax and read or watch a movie. Kevin gave us lots of great recommendations for restaurants, hiking, breweries, and wineries. We recommend Watkins Glen State Park for hiking and Grist Iron Brewing for food, music, and beer. Both Kevin and Stephanie were friendly and responsive to our needs. Our time on the lake was really special and we would stay at the cottage again.

Seneca Lakefront Cottage

LisaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Our stay was spectacular. You can't beat the view, the kitchen had everything you would need and more and the beds were SO comfortable! We had to draw straws to see who was staying in the boathouse room! Coffee on the dock in the morning and wine on the dock in the evening, how could anyone complain about that! We loved our stay and hope to come back again. Thanks Karen!

Ravines Edge. Off grid cabin

NavaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
John is the perfect host, I felt like a V-VIP. He made sure I was comfortable and was over and above helpful with every last detail. He has bikes for guests to get around on and would graciously pick me up when I got stuck down hill. He helped me with fires to enjoy the starry night sky, and escorted me to the cabin when I got back late after a wedding party. The cabin is delightful and serene, on the edge of his property looking into bright green trees. He’s got it set up for barbecues and has even put out sticks for marshmallow roasting. A cute outdoor shower, and an eco-toilet cabin behind the room. I enjoyed swimming in the lake, doing hikes at the National reserve & on the property, watching the cows on the pasture, star gazing, & trying out the local eatery spots. I highly recommend this elevated glamping experience with a host that will do anything in his power to make sure you’re happy.

Little Lakefront Log Cabin on Seneca Lake

CorrineRating, 5 stars5 days ago
This was a dreamy peaceful little place. It was a welcomed relaxing space as I just finished a year of teaching. It looked just like the photos. Had many things that one would need to enjoy your stay. I loved the updated touches and bathroom while still being a rustic cabin. The fire place is so cozy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Little Red Cabin. Cozy and secluded retreat!

MageeRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Our stay was great! So so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Being by the river was great, we got to see new baby goslings and watch people go by on kayaks. The place is very peaceful, and right down the road from a few different winery’s! The neighborhood wasn’t the most vibrant part of town, but it had its own atmosphere and views on the drive were breathtaking. Also good thing to note—the next door neighbor has a beautiful Great Dane who likes to pace the dividing fence and sometimes barks pretty loud and gets excited. Great dog, on an electric fence, but just for anyone who has reactive dogs or sensitive dogs, definitely something to consider.

NEW!Cleo’s Cabin | A Private Paradise in the Woods

TaraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Cleo’s cabin was an amazing place to stay for two nights. Greg welcomed us warmly and gifted some bait to my kids to fish in the pond. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The cabin is cozy, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. The solar power worked well despite the rainy weather and we used the generator very minimally. Beds are comfortable and the heater kept us toasty. The porch is perfect for coffee in the morning and reading in the evening. We enjoyed making a fire and toasting s’mores. My kids loved trying the axe throwing game. All in all a perfect stay. We will be back!

Absolutely a wonderful stay! Breath taking views and the perfect serene spot in nature. We will definitely be coming back! Cynthia was so helpful with providing instructions and activities to do! Despite the rain, we still had fun enjoying the amenities and local attractions (the windmill market!) Thank you so much for letting us stay at the little cabin.

Finger Lakes: Lamoka Hideaway

AliciaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Our stay at this cabin was the perfect getaway! From the moment we arrived, Ken, the host, made us feel at home by giving us a tour of the stunning property and showing us all the wonderful amenities. The cabin itself was incredibly cozy, spotlessly clean, and had such a warm, inviting atmosphere. We loved that there was both a cabin and a bungalow on the property—it gave us so much space to enjoy. One of the highlights was the firepit that Ken had already set up for us, along with a delightful s'more bar. It was such a thoughtful touch that made our nights by the fire extra special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return!"
