Luxury 4 Star Cosy Lakeland Cottage

NicolaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Cottage on Lake Windermere: Beach,Hot Tub & Sauna!

Ashley & DanRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a joy it was to stay in this gorgeous cottage! It was the perfect escape in the Lake District. The property is stunning and the location wonderful. The grounds are so serene and beautiful you almost don’t need to ever leave! The cottage is lovely and quaint and very comfortable. We loved having a log fire at night and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed using the hot tub and sauna—felt like a private spa getaway! Marc and Ruth were so responsive and helpful. It was so nice. Hope to definitely come back someday with my family!

Lakeside Barn w/ fantastic views & Hot-Tub

KarenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

6* Lux 2 Bed Cottage on Island Near Lake District

GillianRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Miller's Rest

EleanorRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had a lovely stay at Miller’s Rest, with a wonderful welcome in the form of homemade scones and a friendly chat with Claire. The hamlet is really close to the M6 but the noise was hardly noticeable and the area so peaceful and beautiful. Really refreshing to explore on foot, even in the pouring rain! Thank you, Claire and Dave, for a great stay!

Burnside cottage in idyllic Dales location.

AndyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a find Burneside cottage was. It was immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly want and more. Felt right at home from the minute we arrived. Comfortable lounge with log burner which came in handy with the cooler weather although the heating was sufficient it gave that bit extra. Gayle is a great place to base yourself to explore the Dales and surrounding areas. Absolutely beautiful. It was a short walk into Hawes of around 10mins or so where there are a couple grocery stores selling most things. We found The Wensleydale Pantry great value and the home cooked food and extensive menu was superb. The Wensleydale creamery is about a 5min walk and the cheese making experience is worth going to. All in all a brilliant cottage to stay in and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for everything Alyson including the great scones, jam, bread and milk on arrival. Andy & Jackie. Andy

Super Cute Cottage close to the Lake District!

KatyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We spent a lovely 5 days at Alison's place. We appreciated being able to check in at 3pm and the directions and check in instructions were straightforward. Orton is a lovely village - there are lots of local walks, we visited the chocolate shop and café and even enjoyed a folk music night at the Village Hall right next door. The bed was extremely comfy, there was a smart TV to relax in the evening and we had everything we needed. Thank you

Great Kettle Barn - Dog friendly cottage for 2.

CharlotteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We have had a fantastic stay at Sue’s place. The cottage was so homely and spacious. Great Asby itself is such a quiet and peaceful location and is perfectly situated to get out to the lakes, via car, or the dales for a good walk. The local pub was superb for food and drinks and all locals were super friendly. Sue and Fitz were such friendly and attentive hosts who also left some lovely and much appreciated treats in the cottage for us to enjoy on our arrival. We would love to come back. Thanks again for a brilliant stay. 😊🤩

Fell Cottage, Staveley

ErinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Morven's. The cottage itself was beautiful and contained everything that we needed. The sauna was a unique addition! Everything had been considered and the small touches, such as the fresh herbs and the treats for the dogs really made us feel at home. Our hosts were quick to respond to a phone call and incredibly attentive to our needs. The village of Staveley is a hidden gem and we made good use of the Eagle & Child pub and the outrageously good bakery, More. I would highly recommend this stay and hope that we can return ourselves!

A cozy cottage in Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales

StephenRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Really nice cottage, clean and warm. Great to come back to after a day out. When we arrived there was milk in the fridge, the fire was ready to go with kindling and logs provided, olive oil, salt and sugar in a cupboard. All these things including coffee and tea make you feel at home when you arrive. We met Diane and she was really friendly and clearly takes great pride in the house. We are returning in September.

Converted Barn, Patterdale in the Lake District

RobRating, 5 stars2 months ago
My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

Stones Throw - Apartment with countryside views

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Words can’t describe how wonderful our stay was at Stones Throw, we had such a lovely time, the accommodation was beautiful and immaculately clean, the surroundings were dreamy and the sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields could keep you entertained for hours! The village is so peaceful and quiet but Kendal is only 5 minutes up the road with great shops, bars and restaurants - you won’t need for anything. Our hosts were amazing, so welcoming, friendly, accommodating and helpful, a huge thank you from us for such a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to come back, don’t change anything that you’re doing because what you’ve got is absolutely perfect in every way shape and form! Thank you!

Molly's Cottage

AlexRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Molly’s cottage! We stayed for our 5 year anniversary and it was incredibly serene and peaceful. It was really spacious for 2 people and had everything that was promised. Lots of great music choices for the CD player, great board game options and some great reading material. It was squeaky clean and beautifully decorated. The log burner was perfection for a cosy night in. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We’ll definitely be back! X

Drakes Cottage

BillyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Loved loved loved this stay!! It was so gorgeous and decorated so nicely. The place felt light and airy yet cost in the evenings. The heating was easy to work and the place warmed up very quickly even without the fire which is essential for my girlfriend because she’s always cold. The bed was super comfy and clean, and the robes were a really nice touch. Jennifer as a host was super friendly and responsive! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The location was perfect and it was easy to walk to Cartmel village through the fields which cut out walking on the country roads (though they were generally not busy anyway!). Cartmel is a lovely place with nice cafes, pubs and some very fancy restaurants. Overall it was a very special stay for our anniversary - made even more special by the bubbly left for us when we arrived. We would recommend anyone looking for a quite and relaxing few days. Thank you Jennifer!

I can’t speak highly enough of Hayloft - a fantastic peaceful property in a beautiful location. Cosy, tastefully decorated and well equipped - first class from top to bottom. Great walks from the door and lots to see and do if venturing out in the car. Fiona was the perfect host and we only wish we could have stayed longer. We will return!

Debra Cottage by Gunnerside Ghyll,

TomRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We’ve loved our stay at Debra Cottage! Despite booking very last-minute Carolyn couldn’t have been more accommodating and responsive. The cottage is in a beautiful location with plenty of walks starting right from the front door. It’s a lovely village, and we were made to feel extremely welcome at the pub only a stones throw from the cottage. Would highly recommend to any couples who want a bolt hole and peaceful retreat in the gorgeous countryside of the Dales.

The End Place - A romantic hideaway for two

JudithRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a wonderful stay. Trevor and Jules were a joy to talk to and had a wealth of local information to pass on. No television was needed as the view through the large picture window held our focus throughout the stay. The wildlife around us was very entertaining especially the pheasants, magpie, ducks and alpacas. Jules was very lucky we didn’t steal the two beautiful kittens that they were rearing. We enjoyed Pately Bridge and had a fantastic meal at The Crown Inn. All in all a great visit! Thank you Jules and Trevor!!
