Rainforest Home Jit@Git

We traveled with friends, and the six of us (four adults and two kids) stayed at Welyne and Gilles' home during our visit to Sarawak. We all had a wonderful time. The house is situated in a peaceful and scenic location, perfect for relaxing and recharging. It’s also conveniently close to the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, about a 30-minute drive from downtown. The house itself is well-maintained, comfortable with pool, and very well equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. Welyne and Gilles were excellent hosts—very friendly and accommodating. We especially appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the local culture, enjoy delicious meals, and take part in a durian tasting that Welyne kindly arranged. Thank you for a lovely stay. We hope to visit again in the future!

Fruit Farm Homestay and Camping

This place was an absolute gem! The room was clean and comfortable with a hot shower, perfect after a long day of exploring. The surroundings were serene, with plenty of trees and greenery. I loved fishing in the pond and gathering fresh fruit from the property. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The location was also convenient, with easy access to Serian town, Panchor hot springs, and Silabur caves. Clifton and wife were wonderful hosts, who shared not only their durian orchard but also the wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna in this place as well as the culture of the people here. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a tranquil getaway!

Only one night at Roger and Ren's, but their guesthouse is so peaceful! There is a small outdoor lounge to rest, the room is very spacious and the hosts are adorable and welcoming. Wish I could've stayed longer!

This place is a hidden gem. If you are looking for a real Borneo relaxing experience then this is for you. Close to Hot Springs and the amazing Silabur caves. Serian is a lovely town, only 10 minutes drive, with a great market and good restaurants. Peter's place is so chill. So many interesting plants and wildlife. Peter and his wife are so helpful and make lovely food with fresh ingredients. Looking forward to visiting again.

Experience an original jungle trip

We were so looking forward to our stay with Saloma and we weren't disappointed. It exceeded our expectations. We didn't expect to learn so much. We didn't expect to see so much. We didn't expect to relax so much. We only stayed 2 nights and 3 days but it really felt like a week!! Saloma is genuine in her spirit of sharing her culture and being a custodian of her village lifestyle. Her family are warm and welcoming and despite the language difficulties, connections were made and experiences shared. How could I forget to mention the food!! Rarely can I push myself to eat seconds but here, I challenged myself to eat thirds and more!! Such was the deliciousness of the food that you felt disrespectful to leave a single morsel. I miss it already!! The presence the family pets made this holiday super memorable! Don't hesitate any longer. Book now!

R&R Haven Guesthouse Bedroom 2

BethRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I loved my stay at R&R Haven. Sadly Ren was away, but Roger was a great host and I learned more about Borneo in my two days here than on the whole of the rest of my trip, and much about the very interesting life he has led. He kindly gave me a tour of the garden, where he and Ren grow an array of edible plants, and I got to sample some of these for dinner in a delicious jackfruit curry (with jackfruit, long beans and pandan leaves from the garden). I was a bit worried about the lack of aircon, but the temperature was fine with the ceiling fan. I don’t understand the review complaining about the road noise - yes you can hear the road, but there is very little traffic, especially at night. It’s the quietest place I stayed in Malaysia. It’s not a 5* hotel, it’s an authentic experience in a beautiful part of Borneo, which in my opinion is much better.
