"IL MARE IN CASA" apartment is located in Riomaggiore's marina, its a former fisher's household with a wonderful terrace just above the sea, the view is incredible. Very close to shops, cafes and restaurants, but also to the train station and next to the ferry station. The apartment exceeded our expectations beginning with the warm welcome in the parking garage by Gianluca who helped us park and who carried our bags up the two flights of steep stairs. It was a great surprise when we arrived to receive a bottle of local wine and an appetizer of focaccia and pesto as a welcome gift to celebrate our 20th anniversary! We felt right at home in the beautifully renovated apartment in the center of PV with an incredible water and harbor view. Gianluca answered all our questions quickly. He even replaced our iron with a brand new one when I mentioned ours didn’t work. After 10 nights in PortoVenere we hated to leave! We will be back!

Staying at Counting Stars was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, Walter took such phenomenal care of us while also, simultaneously, providing a serene and private experience (a feat I’m still astounded by). The view is breathtaking. We chose to experience the tasting menu and wine pairing and were left in awe with each and every dish. So much so that we opted for the a la carte menu the next night for dinner. Getting to dine with a private view of stunning Recco at golden hour and at night is a memory we won’t soon forget, nor the warm hospitality and graciousness of our host.

Location, location, location! If you’re looking for a secluded, peaceful spot that’s still within walking distance to restaurants and beaches, this place is perfect. Virginia was a wonderful host—super responsive and thoughtful. She even got us a parking pass for our car, which was a huge help. The view is stunning, and the area is quiet with plenty of shade, plus a sunny area below if you want to soak up the sun. The full kitchen was a great bonus. The town itself is charming—quiet with lots of great restaurants. And the beach? Amazing. When you walk down from the house, head left of the port where the boats come in—that stretch is all soft sand with no rocks in the water. Highly recommend this stay!

This is probably the best AirB&B we’ve ever stayed in. Everything was beautiful, well laid out, thoughtful to what guests need. The hosts were exceptionally helpful and responsive to any needs. And it is an absolutely spectacular setting. The patio overhangs the cliffs down to the sea. It has a beautiful view of Manarola. It was so relaxing to have a glass of wine on the patio watching the sunset. The most amazing place.

A very pleasant stay. Eduardo was very communicative and helpful. We particularly enjoyed his sunset boat tour recommendation. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with a great balcony to just sit and sip. The apartment was well located and it was possible to roll our suitcases all the way from the train station with only few steps up at the end. It was also a pleasant and picturesque five minute walk to the centre of town along the top paths (to avoid the busy tunnel connecting the town from the station). For me the only downside was the position of the sun loungers which were too near the road/pathway and not very private.

Martha is an amazing host!! from the time we booked the property she was always available with the simplest of queries or questions. The property is absolutely amazing - recently renovated to 5 star levels!! Everything has been catered for. Very quiet, comfortable, relaxing and fantastic views right over the village and yet 2 mins from Via Colombo and event quicker if you take the steps in front of the house. Martha gave excellent tips on restaurants, drinks, how to travel each of the villages - she is an amazing lady and such a great host! Book this property you will not be disappointed - suitable for young, old, couples. We will be back - thanks Martha!! See you soon.
