What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

We loved our mini break at Lorraine's place. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout and very homely, the garden feels very private, even with houses all around. Addingham is a lovely village with great pubs serving delicious food, it is also perfectly located for exploring West/North Yorkshire. Highly recommend staying here.

Our second time at the gorgeous Preston Mill Loft and it was just as wonderful as we remember. Super dog friendly, the upgraded hot tub is IMMENSE, comfy bed, welcoming hosts, beautiful scenery, well stocked kitchen. The lot. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We all felt incredibly spoilt at tower cottage. The accommodation just had a wonderful, relaxed, comforting playful energy about it. It felt that every ornament or artifact that the cottage held had a story behind it and what a privilege for us. It was joyous. The grounds, well that was something else. Early morning Deer, the call of the chiff chaff, the fast low flight of the sparrow hawk through the woods, the soothing sound of the stream in an evening, a great crested grebe joining us for our Sunday morning dip and the joy of the marble run in the woods reminded us to freely play all weekend as a friendship group. Living next door, Ruth and mark were on hand if we needed help or advice without ever feeling like our time and space was compromised. Relaxed wholesome hosts who love where they live. Their kindness was infectious. We will definitely be back.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Wonderfully peaceful location. Holly Toft is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We paticularly appreciated how much care was given to ensuring the hot tub was spotlessly clean and freshly filled for our arrival. Kathryn is a superb host who clearly cares a lot about her guests. The field full of adorable lambs to look out on was a delightful bonus! Highly recommend! Thank you Kathryn.

Booked for our 20th wedding anniversary and used for a base to explore Skipton and a day out in York. Close enough to Skipton to enjoy the town and the night life. The Granary was immaculate. Hot Tub amazing and already planning a second visit. The location is stunning, peaceful and we enjoyed every minute .

Sally and David’s place was beautiful. It was decorated tastefully and was just the right size for the two of us and our border terrier We were welcomed by a box of goodies for the three of us! There was a great pub and a cafe in Hebden, both within easy walking distance and the surrounding countryside was just lovely.

A fabulous stay. Beautiful, fully equipped, cottage. The little balcony with its view was something else - great spot for an early morning cuppa! The 6 of us had a great time for a special weekend, visiting The Piece Hall and Hebden Bridge. We would not hesitate to recommend and would love to come back.

What a find Burneside cottage was. It was immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly want and more. Felt right at home from the minute we arrived. Comfortable lounge with log burner which came in handy with the cooler weather although the heating was sufficient it gave that bit extra. Gayle is a great place to base yourself to explore the Dales and surrounding areas. Absolutely beautiful. It was a short walk into Hawes of around 10mins or so where there are a couple grocery stores selling most things. We found The Wensleydale Pantry great value and the home cooked food and extensive menu was superb. The Wensleydale creamery is about a 5min walk and the cheese making experience is worth going to. All in all a brilliant cottage to stay in and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for everything Alyson including the great scones, jam, bread and milk on arrival. Andy & Jackie. Andy

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. The cottage was a perfect haven for a relaxing holiday. The scenery was breathtaking, and we spent much of the time gazing out of the window at the dramatic weather and wildlife. We wished we could have stayed longer! Really lovely cottage in a fantastic village with great walks. Really appreciated the jams, milk, bread and prosecco left for us as well. Heating system worked really well too, can tell the cottage must be really cosy in the winter. Only small piece of feedback is there was no general bin, only a food bin and we had to tie a bin liner we found to a door to create a makeshift one. Would definitely stay again!

A really great location and well equipped for a couple with a dog. The small patio was lovely to sit at in the sunshine. Stephen really responsive and helpful to messages. Would recommend

We had a great time at this lovely, comfortable, characterful house. We enjoyed the sound of the river flowing by as we ate and enjoyed drinks in the garden. The house was spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. It is located in a beautiful village with a shop and traditional pub serving lovely food. Great dog walks right from the door. We would love to return.

Just had the cosiest stay at Triangle Cottage! Very tastefully decorated, the comfiest bed and the dreamy rolled top bath with the views made it all the more relaxing! It had everything I needed for a wee retreat with my dog in the countryside. Perfect walkable distance to the city centre and various hikes around. Strongly recommend!

We absolutely loved The Hideaway and wished we'd been able to stay for more than one night. Louise was so friendly and helpful, and although we didn't get to meet, we had everything we wanted and quick help when we messaged her with questions about where to eat etc. The Hideaway is immaculately clean and so stylish. The bed was super comfy and the shower fantastic. The kitchen was spotless and well stocked with utensils and crockery and Louise had kindly left us fresh eggs (from her gorgeous free ranging chickens, who came to say hello as we arrived), fresh milk and bread and a bakery treat each. It's a light, bright and welcoming apartment with beautiful views over Nidderdale. We had complete privacy and even a little garden space with picnic table and fabulous view. We were delighted to wake to the gentle calls of the curlews in nearby fields and we felt truly 'on holiday'. The sad part was leaving .. we really hope to be back soon and to explore this amazing part of Yorkshire

Really nice cottage, clean and warm. Great to come back to after a day out. When we arrived there was milk in the fridge, the fire was ready to go with kindling and logs provided, olive oil, salt and sugar in a cupboard. All these things including coffee and tea make you feel at home when you arrive. We met Diane and she was really friendly and clearly takes great pride in the house. We are returning in September.

karen responses were excellent. The house was close to the town. Cosy and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal.

We stayed at Harry's place for just one night but wished it was for longer after getting a feel for the place.The accommodation is beautifully designed with brilliant features in every corner.We had everything we needed at the cottage and Harry is a fab communicator giving us lots of helpful information.The town itself was buzzing with interesting characters and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ulverston and can't wait to return.

When we arrived we were greated by Carolyn and Brian, Brian was just about to take Ruby (the dog) for a walk so Carolyn showed us around the apartment, it's a beautiful place to stay and would highly recommend it. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom/shower room is immaculate! The scenery is stunning and we managed to see the deer and a barn owl too!! We just wish we could have stayed longer!! The River Barn exceeded all of our expectations and was even more beautiful than the pictures portrayed. The River Barn was very comfortable (the bed was awesome) and all amenities to prepare meals, enjoy a BBQ or go on a picnic were readily available. The location was perfect for our purposes; we greatly appreciated the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the property but it also provided easy access to Windemere, Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick where we enjoyed going on several walks. We can't say enough positive comments about our host, Otto communicated with us on several occasions and provided us with lots of information --- where to eat, where to visit and nearby walks. If interested in enjoying a delicious Sunday roast, be sure to reserve a table early at one of the two pubs within easy walking distance. We highly recommend staying at the River Barn and can't wait to visit again!!

I thought the pictures were nice when I booked but the place was beyond my expectations. It had everything you could wish for and looking out at the waterfall was just amazing. I have never seen anything quite as beautiful. The hosts were fab and were very welcoming and the surrounding countryside is just stunning. I had a wonderful stay. I will definitely be back.
