Walk in the woods, sit on the deck, follow the winding path down to our private rocky beach and if you are brave, swim in Maine's chilly waters! It is a great spot for children to live with nature. The cabin has beds for four, and a futon in the living room for afternoon naps. The fishing village of Stonington is about 3 miles away where you can enjoy lobster just fresh from the sea. Peaceful.

Gathering Moss Cottage is located 2 blocks from the Isle Au Haut ferry dock and the Colwell ramp and a fabulous local restaurant Fin and Fern. Stop by 44 North Coffee just around the corner and catch the local gossip. The cottage is so close to amenities but is tucked away in the woods at the top of the hill. Deer and fox wander into the yard and eagles and osprey fly overhead. There are many artists' studios to visit or take a trip to Acadia National Park just a little over an hour away.

Are you looking for the complete Maine experience? If so, this is the place for you. Just walk within minutes to downtown Stonington where all the restaurants are located, or just across the road to the Stonington Lobster Co-Op where you can buy your lobsters straight off the lobster boat. Also within short walking distance is famous “Ames Lily Pond”, the Isle Au Haut boat company, Island approach’s where you can rent kayaks and boat tours and so much more. You don’t even need a car!

Historic schoolhouse of Brooklin converted into the perfect one bedroom getaway. Located across the street from the Brooklin Rockbound Capel with a quick 20-minute drive to Blue Hill. Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor or Bangor are all with in an hour away. The original post and beam construction, with a sleeping loft, give the interior a rustic vibe offset by the playful color palette and butterfly wallpaper make it more botanical and lighthearted.

Not far from the main house is your large queen bedded tent set on a spacious platform. Relax in the Adirondack chairs on your deck and listen to Mark Island fog horn, just off shore. Tented walls, swaying pines, wefts of campfire and a super comfy bed await. Deer Isle is an island connected by a bridge.
