Swallow Cottage, Auldgirth - north of Dumfries.

Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

Comfy bothy set in a beautiful scenic garden

Craigieburn garden bothy is a glamping-type single room bothy in a lovely 6-acre garden in beautiful Moffatdale, a great location for walkers and cyclists. The garden has woodlands, waterfalls, wildlife and exceptional planting for you to roam in. The bothy has no mains water or electricity so is a real alternative experience, with separate flush toilet and washing facilities. Otherwise all home comforts are provided with double bed, kitchenette and wood-burning stove to create a cosy atmosphere

Deluxe glamping pod in private garden in rural South West Scotland. No noisy campsite interference. Children welcome but need supervision in garden as we have a pond and stream. Former Granary of Glenluiart House in the wonderful musical, artistic festival village of Moniaive. The Granary is a category B listed building and has been fully renovated to a high standard and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing short stay. Private grounds with access to a peaceful garden and wonderful countryside views. One mile to local village of Moniaive and six miles drive to Thornhill with great local restaurants and activities. Non smoking and unfortunately no pets.

Charming chalet in peaceful rural location.

Our chalet is in our large, well managed garden. While it is near our house and we are happy to chat, we always respect peoples privacy. This is a very peaceful place where you can sit outside and watch the flames of the fire pit at night or stay in and have a cosy evening. Our neighbours are all of the four legged variety so some countryside noises are to be expected but the cows love to come and greet you at the wall. Parking space in garden

This pretty cottage was once used as a Tearoom on what was then a strawberry picking farm. Set within 30 acres of beautiful pastoral farmland this quirky conversion is a peaceful rural retreat, but is ideally located for all that the region has to offer. A stones throw from some of Scotland’s finest unspoiled and quiet beaches and within driving distance of all of the 7stanes mounting biking trails for those looking for a little more adventure.

Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.
