House holiday rentals in Shawnee County

We were looking for a place for our wedding weekend that was large enough for the bridal party, and Manny’s place was perfect. It was close to our venue, bright, spacious, the kitchen is gorgeous, and the backyard space is large and relaxing. Manny communicated with us throughout the weekend to make sure we had everything we needed. I would stay here again!

We stayed as an extended family for a funeral. It happened to be a busy weekend in Lawrence and wound up being the perfect place.

We couldn’t recommend this home more for our group’s stay in Lawrence! 6 of us booked the house for a wedding weekend and were delighted with how much private and public space there was across the four levels. We got a recommendation from Sarabeth around local bbq to cater in and spent hours poolside (might be the biggest perk). The location was a short few minutes walk from campus as well as an easy walk to the main drag, which was extremely convenient. If you are looking for a thoughtfully designed house for a mixed group, this is it. We’d certainly book again!

We had a wonderful time staying with Dena. The house is beautiful and the area is spectacular. We felt right at home! Everything was labeled and the instructions were easy to follow to get in and out of the house. The fields in the back were gorgeous and the property is immaculately groomed. The house was super clean and spacious. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return again!

Beautiful home. Nicely decorated. I especially like the seahorses/ocean decor. The living room couch was beautiful. Had a great stay and rested well from a long drive and a family wedding. Highly recommend. Would stay again if I’m in the area. Best regards, Marianne

We brought a trip of twelve 7th and 8th grade students to Topeka for a school trip, and all twelve kids and five adults fit in this home comfortably. There was room to spread out and keep the two genders separated. The adults all had rooms. The bed that I used was comfortable. The kids liked being able to explore the space and found a pond nearby. We utilized the fire pit and made s'mores, which was also a fun experience with the students. The kitchen was nice to be able to prepare dinner for our group on Friday. We used the oven to cook pizza. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Topeka with this group. The home is a wonderful old farmhouse with lots of character and is well-kept. the property is also well kept with the hosts being very responsive to inquiries.

Definitely a wonderful place to stay. I have worked in high end tourist hotels most of my life so I'm always worried my expectations are gonna be too high, but this place was absolutely perfect, everything we needed for our stay was there, and the most comfortable beds and sheets I've ever found in lodging

We were here for softball and the house was in a perfect location! We were able to walk to the lake to relax and a quick drive to the fields. Inside the house was clean and had what we needed as a family! Thanks for the stay!

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Super cute and cozy home! We loved sitting on the back deck and watching the ducks (and bunnies) in the yard next door. Super accommodating hosts, we appreciated that.

The living room with dining space was one open room which was perfect for our large family Thanksgiving dinner celebration. Our 100 year mother was happy and comfortable. The children were happy with the toys and yard. The kitchen was adequately stocked with accessories for use with our meal. The house was just right for our gathering.

I can’t wait to schedule my next trip to KC and book this lovely home my husband loved the downstairs suite while my girls and I enjoyed the nice room on the upper level. The house had everything one would need with Walmart very close. Lovely kitchen and dining area for breakfast and Super Host Anna made our trip possible being a very kind Super Host

It’s a great home and Brandi was very responsive. Very clean and well equipped kitchen. It’s is on a street corner so you do hear cars outside but that is not a deal breaker for us. Location is good.

We had a great 2 nights and slept very well! Was perfect for our family! Would not hesitate booking again if available!

This is our family's second time to stay at Legacy Haus Estates, and it was just as impressive and comfortable as the first time. If you want a stay that will be part of the highlights of your vacation, then this historic, totally-renovated home is it!

Hosts are helpful and responsive. house is as described. The house was clean and ready upon my arrival. The house is spacious enough for my party of two and my dog. Going through the laundry area to the back yard to let my dog outside is a little tight. Not a lot of room, however I was so grateful to find a place that I could bring my dog to and have a fenced yard. Even though it is fenced, one of the gated doors of the fence has a small space. A dog like a teacup or maybe even a small chihuahua could possibly escape. My dog is about the size of a Jack Russell and I don't think he could've escaped (and he didn't). Big dogs or heavier dogs won't be able to escape. I would definitely stay again and confidently recommend.
