The River House was perfect for our 4-person family vacation to visit the Maritime Museum. The home is exactly what you see in the photos (plus there’s a TV.) There truly isn’t an area of the home that feels ‘out of place’ from the 60s. There are plenty of hangers/closet space/drawers/bathroom storage to settle in and feel at home. I really enjoyed spending time on the back patio watching the birds with my binoculars (and there is a monocular in the living room!) I highly recommend staying here, it was a wonderful experience!

Connie and Joel were extremely kind and hospitable! They very thoughtfully arranged a wonderful place to stay and were very gracious hosts. Would 100% recommend a stay! Overall house, guest room, and guest bathroom were very clean and many amenities were generously provided. Gus the dog was very friendly and approachable!

Doug and Kathy are perfect hosts. We had a lovely welcome and really enjoyed chatting to them, yet they still gave us space to have some time to ourselves. The house is great with your room and bathroom a separate side of the house making it feel very private. Everything was spotless and we were made to feel very comfortable in their home. Definitely recommend!
