Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Shetland Islands

Daisyside is a beautiful house, immaculately clean, spacious, bright and extremely well equipped. A perfect base for exploring north Shetland and a lovely comfortable house to return to after a long day out. We really appreciated the laundry room, the dressing room, and the lovely comfortable bed! There is a well stocked Co-op and garage shop close by for essentials, and Frankie’s fish and chips is a short walk away. Not to be missed! It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. The property is brilliant and the location at Mid Yell is very good. It’s a great base for exploring the island of Yell and also for visiting the island of Unst. We spent two nights there but wish it had been longer. John and Lindsay are wonderful hosts - they made us so welcome and even gave us eggs from their chickens.

Had a lovely stay at Ross’s. He was always responsive to questions and checkin was easy. The place is very comfortable and quiet. Great location for exploring, especially the north.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chapel, it is a beautiful property and incredibly well equipped with almost anything you could possibly need in terms of kitchen equipment. It has a very comfortable lounge area with a large smart TV and a very comfortable king bed. We couldn’t fault anything. We loved being in Vidlin, it is a quiet village in a stunning location but not too far to drive to other places in Shetland. We would highly recommend this listing. We were thrilled to see otters at dusk near the Vidlin ferry terminal.

We had a great stay at Lower Widembrekk. The location was ideal for exploring Shetland and we also enjoyed running and walking in the immediate surroundings. Garrie and Alison were welcoming, helpful and really friendly. The house was warm and comfortable with everything we needed.

The cottage is in very easy walking distance to the centre of Lerwick. A welcome basket of local produce was a fantastic introduction both local fare and local traders- Plenty of room, warm and cosy, this was a perfect base from which to explore the Islands. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hansel Cottage.

A very spacious, discrete, comfortable and well equipped home, optimally placed to explore the full extent of the islands. The nearby CoOp and garage in Brae have all the supplies you need. Fresh mussels and scallops available daily from the shellfish farm across the bay. Amazing wildlife, including otters on the lawn. Nikita is a super host, very supportive with good ideas, such as where to spot Orcas. The nearby Brae hotel does good dinners. Thoroughly recommend staying as long as you can to enjoy a special place, people and wildlife in the British Isles. Thanks Nikita!

We really enjoyed our stay at Rocklea, it is a beautifully decorated Victorian house with lots of character and every modern convenience. It felt like a real ‘home from home’ from the moment we arrived with a really comfortable lounge, a well-equipped kitchen and a bedroom with a fantastic view of the shore which is right in front of the property. It was one of the best Airbnb properties we have ever stayed in and we could not fault anything. Walls is a great base for exploring this beautiful and quiet part of Shetland and there are lovely walks from the property without even taking the car. If you are in Walls on Friday lunchtime we recommend the cafe at the kirk!

We had a fantastic time on Bressay, I'm very happy I chose this little island over the mainland, it was peaceful and quiet with breathtaking scenery and still very close to Lerwick & the big shops. The apartment itself was perfectly located within the island: a very short walking distance from the local café, shop & play park downhill - and a little longer, but lovely walk to isle of Noss uphill, ferry to the mainland wasn't too far either, around about 30-40 mins walk... Kim was incredibly nice and helpful offering us lifts & taking our luggage down to the ferry port on our last day! The apartment was perfect for our needs: lots of green area outside, lovely fresh air, beautiful surroundings, stunning views from the terrace, spacious rooms, comfortable bed & armchairs, lovely modern bathroom (++Shetland 🧼 Co toiletries 😍), compact well equipped modern kitchen. I'd love to return, thanks so much for everything Kim & Lindsay!

With friendly, helpful hosts and a cosy, warm atmosphere, this one of the best places we’ve stayed. From the breathtaking views to the comfy and beautifully equipped accommodation with its warm and relaxing spa, Niki and Piet have created a true oasis of tranquility in a hectic world. While Shetland itself was even better than we’d hoped for, our trip was made truly special with our stay at Voortrekker.

Jennifer was very helpful with check in for us and we were greeted with a very useful welcome pack. Nice to be able sit outside in back garden.

Place was perfect, travelling for work, 5minute walk from work and easily accessible to other things in the town. Place was ideal for what I needed

beautiful 3 double bed apartment. Spacious, spotlessly clean with everything you would need contained within. A real home from home. the location was fantastic. Central and everything within walking distance. We hired a car to explore the island and get us to and from the airport. Ample parking on the road outside the flat. Carina, our host, popped in on our arrival to welcome us and was very helpful with her local knowledge on good places to go. Our three day visit was a great break and we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Shetland and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. 10 out of 10!

Very comfortable stay. Kitchen was well equipped. Frig had a collection of sauces and condiments in small sealed jars - very useful when you are on a short break. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Tourist information was laid out in the lounge. Parking was always available in the street outside. Jennifer also provided some sweet treats for when we arrived. Much appreciated!

Voortrekker ranks as one of the top places I've ever stayed. Not only was the apartment very evidently thoughtfully handcrafted (half of the furniture is built-in) it was also very functional with everything well supplied, especially the kitchen. This was only made better by its location, with amazing views and perfectly positioned near the airport and for adventuring in any direction you'd wish. The spa is a fantastic addition. Lastly, Niki and Piet were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable hosts – plus they helped me out (twice!) when I had car trouble. As a woman travelling solo, the apartment struck the perfect balance of privacy/independence and security/safety. I highly recommend staying here!

Had a great stay — everything was clean, quiet, and exactly as described. The host was really friendly and helpful, giving good local tips without being intrusive. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
