Guest House Agae is a renovated traditional house that can only accommodate one group at a time. It is in a very convenient location, about 550 m (about 7 minutes on foot) to Kumano Kodo and Kinkou Oji, a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and restaurants (Shoji Teahouse and Tororo-ya). The owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, so we will do our best to accommodate your questions and advice about walking the Kumano Kodo, as well as pick-up and drop-off when you need it. We can also provide personal guides, so please let us know. Prices do not include meals. We only take one reservation everyday so house is yours to use privately.

Our house is called Kamikura-Hideaway. It is a small 50-year-old house located at the foot of Kamikura Shrine. Contemporary artist Fulbrn revived it as the art piece "Narrative Space." Since this house once served as a geologist's hideaway, bits of history are scattered throughout the building. Our uniqueness has even been featured in the travel media AFAR, reflecting our commitment to a memorable guest experience. We hope you will enjoy touching someone's story "floating" around the room.

This guest house is located in Nigishima-cho, Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. Nigishima-cho is located in the southern part of Mie prefecture, and you can enjoy the beautiful azure seascape called Kumano Blue. Enjoy the view of the calm sea of the port town from your room and relax and enjoy the atmosphere of a nostalgic port town on Nigishima. Kumano City is located on the prefectural border with Wakayama Prefecture, and is the best place to drive around Wakayama and Mie's famous places.

We usually accept up to 8 people, but we can accommodate up to 10 people on request. There is a convenience store in front of the house, which is very convenient.
