Relax in a small port town. We renovated a traditional house that is about 70 years old. Relax in a small house in a port town. Because it is an old house, there are steep stairs (with handrails) and steps. We appreciate your understanding and caution if you have small children or have difficulty walking. Amenities: Towels (face and bath towels) Shampoo, conditioner, body soap Frying pans, pots, knives, cutting boards, chopsticks, forks, spoons Plates, tea bowls, cups, mugs, kitchen scissors, corkscrew Appliances: Fridge, washing machine, hair dryer, Kettle, toaster, microwave, rice cooker * For eco-friendly reasons, we do not provide disposable toothbrushes or razors. If necessary, please purchase them at a nearby convenience store or bring them with you. ※ There is no TV. There are some books and internet, so please enjoy a relaxing time.

Tsuki no Yado Shiwaku is a 150-yr-old Japanese house built by Shiwaku Carpenters on Hiroshima island in the Seto Inland Sea. Reminiscent of a bygone era, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time. At the entrance, you'll be welcomed by an uchikake (a type of Japanese wedding kimono) reminiscent of the Studio Ghibli classic, “The Tale of Princess Kaguya” Listen to the ocean, feel the breeze, relax & enjoy a step back in time. Max capacity is 6 people (please enter the number of people for the total amount). Consecutive nights recommended! Try traveling as if you were living here. Located in the quiet hill of old castle overlooking the port of Tomo sea. It's on a hill where the sea breeze blows and keeps you cool even in the summer. Feel confortable on Tatami mat . The house opens onto wooden deck where stars might let you forget anything and you can enjoy the sea breeze. You can also enjoy swiming at the beach.

One group per day. This is a private rental accommodation with a view of the scenery of Onomichi, the Seto Inland Sea and islands, and the Shimamami Kaido. We renovated the villa, which was built in the early Showa era and has one of the best views in Onomichi, to be easy to use and functional. While keeping the beauty of the traditional house, we have added comfortable modern innovations to create a space where you can enjoy the nostalgic and good traditional culture of Japan.

【Teshima’s Ocean View Retreat Tokuto】King Villa

Tokuto is a newly renovated private mansion built in the 1940s on Teshima. It is conveniently located about 15mins walk from Ieura Port. Enjoy the luxurious architecture of the past, such as the authentic hand blown window glass, Onigawara (Japanese gargoyle roof tiles), and the beautiful gardens with an abundance of stone lanterns. The building consists of 2 villas, King Villa & Queen Villa. As a measure against infectious diseases, we accept one group for each building.

The inn features 2 bedrooms, each with 2 semi-double beds, sleeping up to 4 guests. An 8-minute walk to Uno Station and Uno Port Ferry Terminal, with easy access to Naoshima and Teshima. Convenience stores, a supermarket, and cafés are all within walking distance.

[Teshima] YUI: Traditional Japanese Folk House

“YUI” at Teshima in Seto Inland Sea offers accommodation in a renovated old Japanese folk house, completed with a veranda and a garden, located in Ieura. Exclusively for rent of the entire house. It's located 10-min-walk away from the port and tucked away on side street. *Simple breakfast with some bread & coffee/tea are included. We can arrange a restaurant booking for dinner as needed basis. *Staff will meet up to check-in and pick-up service is available.

iikazegafuku.｜It's a charming small inn on Teshima

It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. The guesthouse is a Japanese wooden house with only one room, so you can use privately. The room on the second floor has a slightly lower ceiling, giving it a cozy cabin or tea room feel. From the window, you can see old houses, mountains, and persimmon trees, with the morning light streaming in. Experience an extraordinary space and time.

Lani (mountain side) - a whole rental cottage near "Kii-Kabochaya" in Setouchi National Park

OHANA is a private seaside cottage on Naoshima, known as a sacred place of contemporary art. There are two cottages, sea side and mountain side; Lani is the mountain-side cottage. Free parking is available on site. The cottage accommodates 6–8 guests and includes a kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk to the Yellow Pumpkin and 2 minutes to the bus stop. Japanese Potter's Guesthouse - Wasyugama Kiln Stay

Welcome to Wasyugama, a traditional Bizen pottery kiln guesthouse in the peaceful hills near Kurashiki, Okayama. Stay beside an active pottery workshop and experience the quiet charm of rural Japan. Most guests stay 2–3 nights, but longer stays are warmly welcomed. The house, hand-built with natural wood by my father and me, is a private rental with kitchen, bath, and beds for up to 5 guests. Pottery experience available (booking required).
