Studio by the Beach with Separate Entrance

Open the sliding door to let the gentle sea breezes waft in and settle down to stream a favorite show on the Smart TV. The interior blends coastal touches with boho chic, and there are little luxuries like a work space and secluded private outdoor space. I adhere to the CDC cleaning protocols. I use UV C light for added disinfecting and sanitizing of the Studio, and have also added a Dyson air purifying fan and heater to insure you have clean air. This studio is located on the first floor of my three story home. The studio shares the first floor with the garage so you don't have any shared walls. You have two windows, one in the bathroom and a sliding glass door in the bedroom, they bring in light and the sea breeze but have no views. While this studio is private you may hear footsteps above, music drifting in from other parts of the house, and the sounds that come from everyday living. You'll have one parking space available on the right side of the driveway. More free parking is usually available at the end of the street, 15 houses down on panama. During the day there's extra parking at kiddie beach. I live on the two top floors of the house so i'm easily accessible for as much or as little interaction as needed. The setting on a quiet street is only half a block from channel Island harbors Kiddie Beach and 1.5 blocks to Silver Strand Beach, a popular surf spot and vantage point for catching the sunset. Watch for whales and discover a yoga studio, corner market, and salon, all only moments away. Hollywood by the sea has unique sounds too. You'll hear sea lions, boat horns, and on occasion a fog horn. Every morning at 8am you'll hear our national anthem, and at sunset you'll hear taps. You'll have to pay attention or you'll miss it. It's one of many thing I love about this area.

This was an easy win in my book. it can be hard to find places that feel safe and comfortable but this was definitely one of them. mind you, I was rarely at the hall - only in the mornings and at night as I had packed days while visiting California. I would stay here again if given the chance.

We loved our stay. The home has everything you need to feel right at home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook meals at home. we loved being able to go to the local farmers market and load up on fresh produce to use in meals we prepared in the kitchen. We loved this place so much! The yard was so so perfect for lounging around and soaking up the sun. We enjoyed the fire pit and bocci ball/corn hole, the perfect hang out yard! Fun location close enough to the beach, just a nice walk away. We loved the Mexican restaurant down the street. Beds were comfy and the place felt like a home away from home with all the cozy furniture. Loved that they had a high chair and pack and play. We had my niece with us and those were so helpful. We’re used to staying on Hollywood beach and Silver Strand is definitely more of a “locals” spot and a little busier beach but we loved it so much! Joanie was great and helped us with anything we needed. Highly recommend this place!

Very clean and comfortable place to stay. We felt right at home and Anne’s house had a lot of extras. One example was that there were chairs available for use on the beach which is a short walk away. Everything was clean and there was a full kitchen with cookware that made food prep extremely accessible. We had an accident where a drawer broke, Anne had a maintenance worker come within a couple hours. Her response time made us feel at ease knowing it would get repaired in a timely manner. We would certainly like to stay again. Thanks for hosting us Anne.
