What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

Stunning property, location was great for the wedding we attended in Poulton, it would also serve as a great base for exploring the local area. The house was exceptionally clean and Jill was very proactive and flexible with the sleeping arrangements for the 8 adults in our family party. It was very homely with everything you would possibly need. Jill even ran out with her personal sewing kit when we had a wardrobe emergency which saved the day. The bedrooms were lovely and spacious and the bedding luxurious. The bathrooms were spotless, We would highly recommend a stay here, it did not disappoint in the slightest. Worth every penny!!

We had such a lovely long weekend with our grown up children. The cottage was so relaxing . Lovely private grounds. Short walk to two private beaches . We really enjoyed having the optional hot tub and sauna . We played games in the garden , visited some lovely walks. A very chilled place. Ruth and Mark are great hosts. Thank you.

We have just returned from a few nights away staying at this little piece of paradise. If you’re after a tranquil, relaxing holiday then this is the place to stay. From the house itself, to the spectacular views , the amazing pool house and the lovely, friendly neighbours, this place ticks all the boxes and more. Highly recommend visiting The Queens Arms for a meal (or just a cheeky drink), the staff are so friendly and just made our time away extra special. Malham is only a 20 min (ish) drive away and is stunning (a must see). The only thing I would advise is to make sure you take plenty of supplies (or do an online shop for delivery as we did) as the local shop is a 20min drive away. Thankyou again David, we will definitely be back.

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Wonderfully peaceful location. Holly Toft is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We paticularly appreciated how much care was given to ensuring the hot tub was spotlessly clean and freshly filled for our arrival. Kathryn is a superb host who clearly cares a lot about her guests. The field full of adorable lambs to look out on was a delightful bonus! Highly recommend! Thank you Kathryn.

A real gem of a cottage with fantastic views. Host was very proactive, helpful and friendly. Local town had good amenities. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Would love to return.

Lovely well equipped cottage, had everything we needed. Great location with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Perfect for anyone who likes a bit of walking! Jonathan was very helpful and responsive, we had a great week. Would definitely go back!

Great little bolt hole in the centre of Kendal. Does the job for a few nights, a couple and dog. Close to all local amenities. Furnished really well, very clean, lots of extras. Tight archway to get don with the car, we had a Tesla Y and managed it ok with folded wing mirrors 😉. Well done Gaz, top place 👍👍

Great stay. Perfect base for our 3 peaks walk. Clean, clutter free and dog friendly. Powerful shower to help ease our weary limbs. Comfy bed, sofa and the kitchen had most things we needed for our stay. And great value for money. What more could you want!

Wonderful stay in Staveley. The cottage was perfect and very well looked after and everything you need. The beds were so comfortable we didn’t want to get up! Perfect location for exploring the Lake District with a bus stop 1 minute walk from the cottage and bus service was very reliable. Very peaceful and great garden to relax in after a day of exploring. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a base in the Lake District.

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa’s - four adults, two under one year olds and a dog! The bedrooms have plenty of room for travel cots and were clean, comfortable and cosy. The garden is stunning and sitting in the little garden hut looking over the mountains around was a great way to start the day. The kitchen is well equipped and in great condition. The shower is really good and Lisa provides basic bathroom items incase you forget any essentials which is a lovely touch. The living space is stunning - plenty of space for the babies to roll around on the floor whilst being contained! The views from the windows are gorgeous. Lisa was very responsive during our stay when we had a couple of queries. Highly recommend!

Perfect stay at Claire’s place. Can’t fault it at all. Beautiful stream out the back to watch go by on the patio and the George and Dragon pub in the village was a very friendly place with excellent food. Absolutely loved the place and the area, will definitely be back that’s for sure. Last but not least a mention to Claire for checking everything was ok and letting us know any problems just let her know, which thankfully nothing to was as a great stay had by all four of us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Emma and Gary's cottage, it is lovely and spacious, the garden was a bonus, and the area is beautiful and peaceful. Emma has thought of things you may need to make your stay enjoyable, the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay at Emma and Gary's cottage, a great base to enjoy this part of the Lake District.

I found some things that I am not comfortable such as in the bathroom basin there is no mixer and the basin have no sign, it’s broken . Also, toilet flusher is not working sometimes. It looks like a very old type . Also, the double bed mattress is very soft. I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping. Otherwise, everything fine. Also, It is a little bit expensive compare to other cottage . Thank you

Fantastic little spot! Sarah and Stew were incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with. They made us feel very welcome, and the highlight of our stay was the trip into Cartmel to enjoy the bagpipes and New Year’s toast – such a memorable experience! This stay was well worth it, and we’re already looking forward to returning soon.

Fabulous place for a stay in the Lake District close to all the Lakes but extremely peaceful and tranquil. Hosts were great, friendly and close by. Property was excellent, clean and comfy and very well equipped for a family to cook and relax. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend away and it was amazing. The cottage itself was beautiful on the inside and out. Very clean and tidy and had every amenity you could want. From a coffee machine to a food processor. There were also a variety of board games and helpful books about the cottage and activities. Very very spacious given the price and felt very luxurious and cosy. Felt immediately at home and I would LOVE to come and stay again once the barn is renovated as that also looks amazing. We went on a walk and saw some stunning views, while of course stopping to see the cows. Amazing amazing amazing. Would absolutely go again!

We totally love it! The cottage is in great condition and the interior is very warm and cute. Full equipped kitchen, cozy living room with huge tv screen, spotless bathroom and toilet and really comfy beds. Joanne and Jon are very helpful and kind which is a massive plus. It’s our first time in the area but we will defiantly come back!

Fantastic venue for stay, didn't want to leave. House was perfect in virtually every way, clean tidy and extreemly well equipped, we didn't need anything other than what was there. When messaged host about a tiny issue (missing laundry bag for used linen) they responded extreemly quickly which was great. We will certainly be going back to this Airbnb again as it was perfect in every way, felt just like being at home, so comfortable. Thanks guys

We had a lovely stay in Arnside, with great weather on our side! House was perfect and nice to have 2 bathrooms. Gorgeous garden to relax in and our dog was delighted. It was a huge bonus not to have to bring a dog bed etc! Very close to the train station so we took a trip to Ulverston and had a great lunch in The Base cafe next to the community garden, along with visiting the Laurel and Hardy museum, as we're fans. We're also keen birders, so had a trip to RSPB Leighton Moss, very close by and two of our group visited the Fairy Steps, within walking distance of the house. Arnside Knott was as beautiful as ever, and great to start the walk from the back garden. Loved being by the sea. A great trip had by us all! Thanks Julia! 😊
