Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sintra

Bruno and Rita were wonderful hosts, very patient with us and helpful at every turn. The place itself is great - comfortable and a very short walk from the centre of town. The sunset views were stunning. Would definitely stay again.

Fabulous accommodations. Helpful that luggage could be checked into hotel ahead of time since we had 2 different tours booked with a guide and unit wasn’t available prior to 3pm. Very clean, loved having own en-suite bathrooms for each room. Would stay here again and again!

It was a pleasure staying at Ricardo’s place. The place is on the first floor of the house and has big lawns, fruit orchards and ample parking space. The view of low hills and sunrise from the balcony was beautiful. My daughter enjoyed the hammock in the balcony. Overall it was a very nice, peaceful and soul soothing stay in natural surroundings.

We had a wonderful stay! Just a short summary of pros and cons: + Antonio and Maria were great hosts - communication and help was excellent when needed. They brought fresh bread every morning which means less driving to the next town as a guest - fantastic! The house has an amazing view. which is almost unbeatable. The neighborhood is calm with no hotels/noise. - Compared to the fotos it was a bit smaller and older/with signs of normal use than we expected, but of course its sometimes difficult to tell by pictures. Since its southern Europe, be prepared for some insects (has nothing to do with the accommodation but might be helpful to know) - but Antonio and Maria had us prepared with some mosquito repellents and insecticide sprays. The lower bathroom has a strange smell when the drain hasn't been used regulary - but Antonio offered help immediately after we wold him and eventually it improved . All in all a great stay just with some small hints you should know - thank you again!

Cozy and comfortable. This place was perfect for our needs. Anabela was a great host! Be prepared for some narrow streets in the neighborhood but we got used to them pretty quick. Be sure to walk around Penedo at sunset - beautiful!

Location, location, location! Cute 2 story space in the heart of Sintra’s historic district! Amazing to stay in town and see the area before/after the tour buses and trains bring the crowds. Pedro’s space was unique, cute, cozy, and clean…exactly what you may imagine. All modern amenities without losing the historic charm. Water pressure in the shower could use improvement. Pedro was helpful when we asked at the last minute for a crib, providing one even though the listing didn’t offer a crib. Parking hit or miss, it worked out well for us since we arrived into town late after tourists had already cleared out.

If you want a real local Sintra experience then this is your place. Charming house with a lot of character, charm and history. We were a group of 6 and cooked in for dinner 2 of the three nights. Very close to town center for walking. It’s a very hilly town so if you like walking it’s great for you. Maria could not have been nicer.

Great location to access the beach and for trips out to Sintra. Great bakery below the unit.

We stayed here with our two young kids and it was perfect. The apartment was very comfortable for a family. They left so many thoughtful touches like nice shampoo and espresso pods. The location and access to all forms of public transportation (trains, trams, busses and metro) can’t be beat. I’d recommend this spot to anyone!

We spent a few days in Nathy's apartment, which has a magnificent view of the ocean. The accommodation is impeccable and very well decorated . Nathy welcomed us very well on arrival and gave us all the necessary information to allow us to have a good stay. And also, we had a basket filled with sweets, wine, bread and other goodies. I recommend this very well located and exceptional accommodation with this magnificent view of the sea and 5 minutes' walk to the beach.

Beautiful property, scenic views of the sea and sunset, fast wifi and Netflix. Sara was quick to respond to my questions and was very helpful. I recommend this place for those who love peaceful, quiet and relaxing surroundings.

This was such a lovely place to stay. The Airbnb was beautiful, clean and had anything and everything we could possibly need. João was super friendly and quick to respond. He had many great recommendations as well! The neighborhood was safe, peaceful and had everything in walking distance! We would love to come back again someday and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Zé’s place is centrally located in Sintra. It is within easy walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shops, and the National Palace of Sintra. Zé was a great host and very responsive. The apartment was clean and had all necessary kitchen items.

Place is perfect, cozy space and all you need for a trip. Parking is limited and mainly available after 6 due to tours but in a great area with shops and some cute quick drink spots in the area.

This apartment is in the perfect place to see all the sites around Sintra. It has great views from three sides of the apartment. It is very close to everything in the historic district. It is also close to the trails to the Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle. My wife and I hiked the fairly steep paths to get to these places without any traffic. Be aware that there is a one way loop associated with this town, so you may have to go around the mountain to get out. Just something to keep in mind when you plan your trip back to Lisbon by car. Parking is limited, but we found a spot both times we needed it by showing up early or late (I would say before 9 or after 6). We went in late May. It does get busier as the summer progresses.

Clean, quiet, comfortable, very large apartment in central Lisbon. Great place to stay with a small group. Easy access to markets and metro and for exploring the city. The area is quite busy but the apartment was quiet.

We stayed there as couple for 4 nights. We had the rooftop apartment and it was even better than what we imagined from pictures. All amenities are spotless and at different level - like you would buy for your own place. We liked specifically the private parking and lemon trees at site. We felt like Villa didn’t match with its surroundings. Even though it had a spectacular view over the port, location is not a typical city center. A short Uber ride is sufficient to get you to the city though. We would definitely come back and stay here. We loved it!

The apartment is lovely, clean, well-equipped, and even more spacious than expected. The location is close to bustling neighborhoods, but the building itself is very peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Lise's apartment. It was even more spacious than expected for a city apartment and was even better than described. The bedrooms and bathrooms were big with high ceilings. The location was tremendous. Great restaurants and shops just minutes away. I would absolutely consider staying here again when I return to Lisbon.

This is a lovely well equipped 2 bed apartment in the Bairro do Rosario suburb of Cascais. Communication with the host was excellent and the garden and pool area are a real bonus. It is a 15 min walk to de Inferno and a good 35 min walk into the centre of Cascais. However there are bus stops close by to the apartment which have regular timetables. There are a number of lovely restaurants close by at Casa de Guia, and the Ophelia cafe on the next street is lovely for breakfast whilst the sacolinha bakery at the end of the street is excellent. The small supermarket at the end of the street is good for small amounts, the large Pingo Doce 5 mins walk away has a much larger selection. A very relaxing stay

The apartment is fantastic, like staying in a piece of history. Wilfried has taken great care with the renovations and has also kitted out the apartment with high quality bedding and toiletries. Kitchen is really well equipped and Wilfried provided a vast array of coffees and teas. The rooms and bathroom layout worked well for us, a family of five with three grown-up sons, so everyone had their own room and slept well. The location is perfect, very central and easy to walk to most attractions or use Uber for going slightly further out. Its in a busy location with a lovely atmosphere. We weren't troubled by any noise - the trams and bars also close relatively early anyway. Wilfried is great and pro-active communicator. Everything was clean and Eugenia was a delight to meet. Thank you, we would love to stay again.

It was 2 incredible days, I rested and I was able to enjoy it well. Thank you Nuno for the hospitality 🙏🏻

Well-maintained and clean accommodation 15 min walk from downtown and the nearest beach, well organized and easy to access. I highly recommend it!
