Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Skamania County

Incredibly positive Airbnb experience. Everything about the stay, from the well stocked recently remodeled house, to the neighborhood, to the host’s very quick responses and to questions made our stay in Hood River everything we hoped for. Bonus for the neighbor’s friendly cat - Neville - that stopped by most times we were sitting on the front porch. They also had a very clean pack and play for our 1 year old. Only feedback would be for a microwave.

Our stay at Linda's was great. Plenty of room for our group of 10 with beds and seating for everyone. Plenty of towels, a nice open kitchen, a beautiful view of the golf course and mountain in the backyard. Linda was responsive and accommodating of our requests and was a pleasure to rent from. If you need a place to stay in the area this is a great option!

Beautiful views- very comfy and clean home. Well stocked, killer comfy bed in master bedroom. Just a wonderful experience on every level. Thoughtful items left for us to enjoy too! I’d come back without a second thought!

Laura’s place was perfect for our needs. It was close enough to arrive from Mount Hood area and then visit the surrounding Gorge. There is plenty of space for a family to spread out inside and outside. We enjoyed watching the boats, barges, and trains from the big windows facing the water. There are close by restaurants and a cute coffee truck within walking distance.

My son and I had a wonderful stay at Jill's place in Hood River. The property is in a convenient location (close to local grocery, cute bakery, downtown, etc.), yet the setting was very peaceful. We enjoyed strolling through downtown Hood River, eating a picnic lunch on the waterfront, and hiking the local trails with wildflowers in bloom! Jill's place is very comfortable, stylishly decorated, spacious, and clean. We appreciated the fun selection of games and puzzles, too! Jill was a great host and we will definitely come back to stay again in the future!

We loved everything about this lovely house. The home was cozy and welcoming. We so appreciate being able to bring our dog and having the back yard for her to freely roam. The neighborhood was quiet, lovely to walk and take in all of the beauty of the fall gardens and intermittent blue skies. Hood River has so much charm- the WAAAM is a must, the farms and beautiful drive to see the valley is food for the soul. We look forward to returning!

This is such a wonderful property. From the cozy living area with the wood burning stove to the gorgeous surroundings and birdsong outside, Ronald’s place made for a perfect home away from home for our getaway. The house is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, and Ronald was a communicative and accommodating host. Close to White Salmon and Hood River, but remote enough that it feels very peaceful. Highly recommend!

My second stay. Convenient to town and Skamania Lodge, but feels very rural. Quiet and clean.

After attending this annual event at Skamania was by far the most enjoyable, all thanks to this incredible home! Having a packed agenda, going dusk to dawn daily, and having previously experienced the drives from off-property stays, this home was a revelation. It offered ample space for three adults, featuring a superb modern kitchen and dining area, plus beautifully appointed bathrooms. The large front yard with its breathtaking lake view and a great backyard for entertaining provided the perfect escape. The quick stroll to the lake and park, teeming with wildlife, was a delightful way to spend the evenings. Cora was incredibly welcoming, professional, and went above and beyond. The convenience of being nearly walking distance from Skamania allowed me to truly relax and recharge after demanding conference sessions, making the whole trip exponentially better. While perfect for our group, it would be an ideal family retreat too. I'll definitely be returning for my next conference!

This is a beautiful stay! Mac was very helpful and communicative. The house was clean and very pretty. The river down below is better then the pictures. We spent every morning out on the patio. The house has a walking path down to the river and you can jump off a couple different rocks and do a cold plunge if youd like. Amazing views would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at The Big House in Cascade Locks! The brand new home is well stocked with a great layout for a family trip. The host had excellent recommendations for accessing tennis courts, local hikes, and bistro burgers right down the street. I encourage anyone in the area to stop for a relaxing evening of porch sitting and low key Cascade Locks vibes.

We really enjoyed our stay in Stevenson! The house was centrally located to grocery stores, restaurants, bars, etc. The hosts provided everything we needed, including plenty of snacks and coffee. Looking forward to our next trip!

Clearwater was convenient, comfortable, and managed our group of 6 well. The game room was great and the townhouse was well-stocked with both kid and adult friendly games. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, very clean.

Marfa’s place was perfect for our little getaway with some friends to visit a wedding venue. Very nice patio that we enjoyed with the beautiful weather. We will likely return to the area and hope to book here again!

What a sweet and serene place - so incredibly thankful to have come across it and gotten a chance to stay for a few nights. A beautiful combination of privacy in the majestic woods, but also the community and story of the farm life. So glad we asked for a farm tour and got to hear Lara’s incredible story and vision. Was also swooning for the outdoor kitchen. We will definitely be back!

Great stay, once again!! Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much in Hawaiian) for accommodating us AGAIN this trip!! The cabin is SO different from what we’re used to in Hawaii, but in a GREAT way!! Being right on a nice, clean, quiet river is so peaceful and we just LOVE the smell of the “great outdoors” (just nice change from what we are used to in Hawaii). This house was GORGE-ous. Beautiful view of the river from the house and hot tub. Fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces. We slept 10 here comfortably. An absolutely lovely space and close to many of the incredible hikes the Gorge has to offer! Couldn't get over how beautiful it was. Check in and out was easy and we felt right at home. Would recommend!

David was a kind and welcoming Airbnb host. He lives on property attached to the house you will be staying in. Other than a few chats during our stay here and there he gave us our privacy and it was an overall a great vacation. Beds were very comfortable! All of the guests particularly pointed out how comfy their sleeps were. The hot tub was nice in theory but since its inside the bathroom of the main guest room it was not used. The property was beautiful and there was a grill that we used to cook a big dinner one night. Thanks David!

Inna was a wonderful host and very accommodating. My wedding party enjoyed the time together surrounded by a beautiful setting. The house is gorgeous with an amazing fire pit and hot tub.

This spot is PERFECT for exploring Hood River. There is a great bakery for a morning start two blocks away, an amazing playground a ten minute walk away and all of the main city attractions (restaurants and such) are a 15 minute walk away. It is in a quiet neighborhood and you get a view of both Mt Hood and Mt Adams walking around the neighborhood. The house itself is warm and classic. The kids toys, books, and room with a TV was great for families. The host was extremely accommodating and responsive. Couldn't recommend the spot more highly, it was the perfect stay!

The location of Eva's Cottage was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We were spending our anniversary doing multiple day hikes out of the Gorge. This little cottage nestled in the woods provided us the peace and serenity we were looking for as well as providing a local home base to return to each day. The cottage was off the beaten path so it was private. It was in the view of their lodge but didn't interfere with our privacy at all. We had a momma deer with her twin babies lingering near the cottage for us to admire and we enjoyed just sitting and watching the river.

Perhaps our favorite AirBnb of all time. This place is *such* a gem, and Rebecca truly is the hostess with the mostess!! Located directly on the river, spend your evenings peacefully bird-watching on the deck and staying cozy near the fire table. Or maybe you want to relax in the incredibly clean and new hot tub under the stars! Stroll the expansive and FULLY FENCED (!) grounds with your pup, or play board games inside... there's just so much to do -- or NOT do -- depending on the type of vacation you need. The place was spotless, and Rebecca thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible, including copious snacks and suggestions. The communication was excellent. We truly cannot wait to be back!!
