Lovely place to stay plenty of local places to take the dog for a walk and within a 20-25 minute drive you could access numerous other places and towns to visit. Lovely stay and place the hot tub was nice to relax in after long days.

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

We’ve had the most wonderful time staying here. The Loft is spotless, beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The views from the hot tub are breathtaking , it’s genuinely like stepping into a postcard! The perfect location for exploring The Dales. Claire and Neil are very welcoming and thoughtful, providing great recommendations. We’d thoroughly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to book again! Thank you for having us x

We had a lovely stay. The accommodation was super sweet and perfect for a calm getaway. The home was decorated well and could tell it was well thought with extra touches such as Prosecco, mini chocolates and robes. Would definitely stay again and the hosts helped us with the hot tub. Thank you!

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Wonderfully peaceful location. Holly Toft is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We paticularly appreciated how much care was given to ensuring the hot tub was spotlessly clean and freshly filled for our arrival. Kathryn is a superb host who clearly cares a lot about her guests. The field full of adorable lambs to look out on was a delightful bonus! Highly recommend! Thank you Kathryn.

Sally and David’s place was beautiful. It was decorated tastefully and was just the right size for the two of us and our border terrier We were welcomed by a box of goodies for the three of us! There was a great pub and a cafe in Hebden, both within easy walking distance and the surrounding countryside was just lovely.

We booked Sarah's place for a weekend away with family, 6 of us and a dog. Its a fantastic little house! Spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a lovely location in a friendly and picturesque village setting. Sarah is a suoer responsive and helpful host, she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and answer any queries or appeals for local knowledge. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at visiting the beautiful Peak District.

5* accommodation! Comfortable, elegant, quiet and clean country house with welcoming garden in a beautiful part of the countryside. Well provided kitchen, pristine decoration complemented with nice and interesting ornaments. Being there is part of the weekend break.

Had the best weekend here with my partner and two dogs. Secure garden, which was really reassuring to be able to just let the dogs roam. Beautiful private setting half way down the valley. Jonathan and Claire were both really responsive which was really helpful. Will definitely be coming back! :)

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. The cottage was a perfect haven for a relaxing holiday. The scenery was breathtaking, and we spent much of the time gazing out of the window at the dramatic weather and wildlife. We wished we could have stayed longer! Tucked away, in a quiet corner of Haworth, five minutes walk from the bottom end of the main street, the cottage, was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. With plenty to do in the area, the cottage is within ten minutes walk of Haworth's pubs and restaurants, and about 15 minutes from the Bronte Parsonage Museum, at the top of the hill. We parked up, right outside the cottage, when we arrived, and walked everywhere over our weekend's stay.

Had a lovely stay in Silsden, the cottage was exactly as described and very homely, it had everything you need! We did lots of walks along the canal and came back to enjoy the cottage with our very tired pooches. Thanks Mark and Sharon for a lovely stay.

A beautifully renovated cottage ideally located for our visit. Everything in the cottage has been finished to a very high standard making it comfortable and practical without fussiness. Tracey was quick to respond to any questions and the welcome pack provided all the information we needed.

We had a fantastic stay at David’s beautiful and unique accommodation. David was responsive to all queries and made us feel incredibly welcome. He’s clearly passionate about the space he has designed and built — it’s thoughtfully planned, exceptionally well designed, and full of character.The attention to detail throughout is outstanding. We had the best night’s sleep in the enormous, super-comfy bed, and the large walk-in shower was a joy to use. The property is equipped with everything you could possibly need (and more) for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The views from the living area and terrace are lovely. It’s an easy and scenic walk into the centre of Marsden along the canal towpath or a quiet lane, and both the Standedge Tunnel and North of England Centre for Music and Arts with its cafe are just a couple of minutes away on foot. Back home after a wonderful stay at Pine View Lodge. Julian and Sarah Jane are amazing hosts, so helpful and the place is stunning. Wonderful views, well equipped and comfortable. Julian checked in on us and made sure we were all settled in after arrival. Excellent communication before and during the stay. Thanks so much Julian, just what was needed!

We loved our stay in David’s Thump Cottage. Everything was clean, comfortable and peaceful. We spent a day with David touring the Yorkshire countryside and some beautiful gardens, eventually making our way to a lovely, remote, historical pub. We could not have imagined the beautiful day and friendship we experienced. The town (and all the towns) and area is beyond beautiful. We cooked a few meals in the modern kitchen for breakfast and evening meals (we prefer to be home by dark) or ate leftovers from the huge portions served at restaurants and pubs. (Our afternoons were when we visited the restaurants and pubs.) We plan to return to see David and continue our journey north to Scotland someday ♥️ In other words we highly recommend Thump Cottage 😊 Thank you again, David, for sharing your amazing cottage with us. 🏡

Beautiful cottage with lovely views and private location. Everything was super tidy and clean and Sylvia had put some really nice touches in there to make you feel welcome and at home. It had everything you could need and was a really relaxing place. Would definitely recommend.

Just enjoyed a 3 night stay in this beautiful cottage. Host was very responsive and supplied all the information we could have required. We immediately felt very at home , the decor is very tasteful and it was spotless throughout .It's in a great position for exploring the locality, would happily return.

We stayed at The Barn at Cocker House as a short mini-moon, both in need of some chilled relaxation and it's exactly what we got. Lesley was warm and welcoming and the place is an absolute gem. It has everything you could ask for, beautiful surroundings, well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and a cosy wood burner for those slightly chilly evenings. There are plenty of walks in and around the area and great pubs within walking distance if you fancy a drink or a meal out. We would definitely recommend to others.

We had a wonderful stay. Trevor and Jules were a joy to talk to and had a wealth of local information to pass on. No television was needed as the view through the large picture window held our focus throughout the stay. The wildlife around us was very entertaining especially the pheasants, magpie,ducks and alpacas. Jules was very lucky we didn’t steal the two beautiful kittens that they were rearing. We enjoyed Pately Bridge and had a fantastic meal at The Crown Inn. All in all a great visit! Thank you Jules and Trevor!!
