Save your self the trouble spending hours researching where to stay in the Smokies. This location is a perfect proximity to where ever you decide to venture off too. The property itself is stunning to say the least! The thought out decor, details, layout, and craftsmanship was much appreciated. You’ll love sitting out on the balcony overlooking the Smokies listening to sounds of nature around you. The furniture inside is very cozy, you’ll get plenty good rest between adventures. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools needed for your kitchen/bbq grill creations. The hosts were amazing, and quick to respond to anything you may need before and during your stay. Peaceful, private wooden oasis. We enjoyed seeing all the deer in the area. We felt it was a great location right between all the mountain towns, great for finding hiking locations, parks, museums, and great restaurants. Then spending our nights in a cozy private cabin in the woods, playing games and having family movie nights or siting on the porch enjoying the rain & lighting show.

DON’T miss your chance to experience the magic of the River Love barn. Kangee’s EXCEPTIONAL hospitality throughout our time in her home set the tone for the entirety of our stay. Her attentiveness & genuine warmth made us feel right at home. The beauty of this property is truly beyond words. While the photos online are stunning, they don’t fully capture the enchanting atmosphere that envelops you as soon as you step onto the grounds. Our favorite spots were the clawfoot tub, perfectly nestled in a private, serene area of the property & the outdoor hammock within the screened in back deck. Kangee truly brought the outside in with her thoughtful design. Even on a rainy day- the sky lights during a storm that had passed through was such a reminder of the cozy atmosphere that permeates the barn. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful getaway or a relaxing family trip, the River Love Barn is a hidden gem that I cannot recommend enough. We left feeling refreshed & inspired, with hearts full.

We had a wonderful trip! Enjoyed the fire pit and beautiful views from the deck. Our first time to the smoky mountains and we were very pleased with the location and ease of getting to the park. Especially enjoyed the quieter side of the park. Host was very responsive to our questions and things we needed help with. We would definitely stay at their properties again. Cozy bed and everything we needed for the week. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Me and my husband searched for the perfect romantic getaway for our late honeymoon/ 1 year anniversary. When we came across Knotty But Nice we were sold! The view was immaculate, pictures do not do justice. The house was extremely clean and cozy. The hot tub was clean and so relaxing. Overall peaceful and private! The drive up was pretty scary the first time, I’m definitely glad that we had an SUV! But 10/10 recommend! We are already planning another trip in the fall. Thanks Dana & Trish! 😊

Outstanding location perfect for day trips to the many parks nearby for hiking or the river outfitters for paddling also dining & shopping in Clayton. So close yet so secluded peaceful & quiet with the outstanding view from the deck and the many amenities made for an enjoyable worry free stay. Hot tub & steam shower after long days on the river or hiking an added bonus. The little hummingbird and giant woodpecker watching over us were great hosts in a most relaxing natural setting. Many thanks to Karen for sharing the cabin with us for a memory filled week away in the North Georgia mountains!!

Ren's Nest was an incredible destination for our sisters' trip to celebrate Friday the 13th! No wi-fi, and hit-or-miss cell service was honestly quite refreshing for the both of us. The fire pit was well-used during our stay there, and the surroundings were incredibly private and peaceful. Overall, it was an absolutely magical time. I would 100% consider staying here again the next time we return to Lakemont!

Wonderful time in this home, tons of space and close to everything downtown. Lovely location with a peaceful dock to sit out for coffee. Home was comfortable and everything was as described. Thanks again!

Heather’s place was a little slice of heaven! If you are looking for peace, beauty, and still close to town this is perfect! I felt like I could stay there forever!! It was the perfect place to relax after an AT section hike! Highly recommended!!

Michelle's mountain cabin was wonderful. The VIEWS were better then expected. Just what we wanted. Having a morning coffee gazing at the vistas. WOW. The cabin was very warm and modern. Michell recommended a great food spot, Nocturnal Brewing. Super good, great vibes, people and pizza was divine. Our stay was relaxing, chill and what I expected. Michelle is a great host Thank you Michell for your kindness.

Ashlie's place is a relaxing quiet retreat in the woods. The cabin was a great place to chill out and decompress. I would describe it as a cozy cabin. Check in was a breeze with clear instructions provided.

5 Stars! Beautiful location, waterfall is actually located right outside the patio with a creek flowing by. The view is incredible. The house itself is so welcoming and comfortable that I truly felt as if I was a friend’s house. I totally recommend and plan on going back for a longer stay. Hosts were responsive and helpful. Staying at Jennifer’s mountain retreat was truly a magical experience. From the moment we booked, Jennifer was incredibly responsive, kind, and thoughtful, making the entire process smooth and welcoming. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and convenient. The cabin itself was mesmerizing..honestly, the photos don’t do it justice. It’s even more beautiful in person. Every detail of the space felt mindfully designed, and the peaceful mountain views were exactly what we were hoping for. We especially loved the little touches like the hummingbirds visiting the feeder, the incredibly cozy fireplace on the deck, and the charming bee-themed decor. The bed was super comfortable, the linens were spotless, and the overall atmosphere was calming and rejuvenating. This place is a true sanctuary in nature, and I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you, Jennifer, for creating such a beautiful and memorable space! PS: Your honey is incredibly delicious. A must buy!

Over the past 35 years I have stayed in many rental properties in Sky Valley! This property ranks up in the top 10. We loved the privacy, the space and the attention to details. We especially loved the cleanliness throughout and the comfort of the beds! We had a slight issue with the television, but Julian’s response was immediate and we didn’t miss the golf tournament. We highly recommend this property for your next mountain getaway!

Heather’s place was a great retreat! The cabin was well appointed with interesting decor and a comfortable bed. She had everything one needs for a restful stay from the snacks in the cupboard to the drinks in the fridge. The shower had good water pressure with hot water. Plenty of clean, soft towels were set out ready for you. The landscape had to be my favorite! She takes great pride in offering a variety of flowering plants in the front garden. The moss garden was my favorite! It reminded me of my childhood and playing in the woods. The moss was always my carpet in my fairy home.😁 There are lots of seating outside to accommodate your nature soaking. It rained when we were there and so we did not use the fire chimney but it was a nice feature given the right time. We definitely be back to the Locust Log Cabin whenever we want a quick getaway. We love visiting sky valley and Jennifer’s place did not disappoint! It was a peaceful paradise nestled in the hills. We all had so much fun! Would book again for sure!

Effortless process and wonderful experience. This place is exactly as as shown in the photos and even more quite and peaceful than expected. The house and the decor are so thoughtful and inviting we didn't want to leave. The screened porch and open deck extend the small but generous living spaces outside perfectly. The loft is a great retreat and with a great selection of games we made use of. We were (4) people and we had plenty of space for cooking, dining and relaxing. We will stay again and highly recommend!

We loved our vacation on the lake in Tamassee! The location was perfect. We went on 2 beautiful hikes in nearby Nantahala National Forest (highly recommend) and spent lots of time on the beautiful lake jocassee and keowee. The house had everything we needed, was private and peaceful, and we saw lots of wildlife. Tom was very responsive, but we hardly needed to reach out because we had everything we needed.

My family stayed for three nights to attend a wedding in nearby Clayton. It’s a beautiful area and this house was a cozy and comfortable spot to return to each night. Wish we had a few more days to sample some of the many activities available, especially at the Sky Valley Club where one can swim and play golf, tennis, even bocce.

Quaint cabin on the edge of town. Convenient to everything! The grounds were lush.
