Magical Mountain Retreat with Vintage Charm

Our second home is a mix of mid-century modern and "cabin in the woods." It sits on 2 heavily wooded acres and backs up to a mountainside with rock outcroppings. The main living area (living room, dining area, and kitchen) is raised about 4 steps, and the bedroom and bath areas are on the main level. There is one large bathroom with a shower. There is an electric fireplace surrounded by ledge stone in front of the u-shaped built-in sofa. There is abundant reading material & 2 TV's.

The View

Incredible Mountain View Home only 25 minutes from Chattanooga. A short 7 minute drive up the mountain, Trenton, GA and Interstate 59 close by. TAG, Where TN, AL, and GA come together. A mountainous area dominated by Lookout Mtn., with elevations of 2000 feet. There are over 7,000 caves within an hours drive, including Howard’s Waterfall Cave directly below. Hiking trails with waterfalls abound. Our place is more than just a place to spend the night, it is a destination.

The guest house is your lake cottage home away from home. The house is directly on the water with access to dock your boat outside with ample bumpers at the boathouse on property. The location is right around the corner from City Park for loading and unloading and Goosepond Colony. Sisters Point is a beautiful bluff front cabin perfect for getting away from it all. Situated on a very quiet tree lined street just 1 mile from Monteagle and 5 miles from Sewanee. Within a 15-30 min drive to numerous local attractions to include The Caverns, Bonnaroo Music Festival, Fiery Gizzard, University of the South, Dutch Maid Bakery, Greeter Falls and Stone Door, numerous arts and crafts fairs and music festivals throughout the year.

Nickajack Overlook

Please note - this rental is not on the lake and does not have lake access, it just overlooks it from across the road. There are three boat launch access areas that are 6 minutes from the property. This cottage overlooks Nickajack lake and is a perfect place to relax! Located outside of Chattanooga, just one mile off exit 161 on I-24. This location has 2 king beds, and a small bunk room (with RV size mattresses)

Cloudland Cottage - Hot Tub -Wooded Valley View

This cozy getaway blends into Lookout Mountain and emphasizes the beauty of the land inside and out. Every room draws natural light and calm. Convenient drive to all of Chattanooga's natural wonders, a short distance from charming Lookout Mountain town life and St. Elmo neighborhood. Close to the beautiful Tennessee river ,some of the boat ramp are 3-4 miles away, Walmart restaurants and high school walking trails less than a mile, highway 72 is about 1/4 mile and hwy 35 is about 1 -1/2 miles from the house. Free EV charger in premises, plenty parking even if you have a fishing boat . ! Absolutely no smoking in the house if you have to smoke you can do it outside.!
