Cottage holiday rentals in Snowy Mountains

We booked Moonshine Cottage as a weekend away with friends. I didn’t realise it was so close to the (very quiet) main street which was a bonus. On our first night we had dinner at Ladbroke Distillery and Brewhouse right next door which had delicious pizza and cocktails.

We had a fantastic stay in Crackenback at the cottage - the kitchen had everything we needed and lots of space for the whole family. The outlook over the fields was amazing with horses, kangaroos and deer to keep us all entertained. The location was great to explore the surrounding area and we especially enjoyed the Wild Brumby distillery just a few minutes away. The only downside was the proximity of the separate studio which meant we could hear everything from the family of 3 staying there with two very large dogs.

We had a beautiful stay at Windy Fig Farm , fantastic hosts Glenn & Kerrie and very stunning place! We enjoyed the views, wonderful peacefulness and the spa was amazing… We were lucky enough to wake up to the land covered with snow and have the full experience, there was freshly baked loaf of bread which was fluffy and lovely! I’m looking forward to staying again, thank you again

Had a wonderful few days at this gorgeous property! The setting was absolutely beautiful, and the house was extremely well equipped with everything we needed. Especially loved relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire. Would fully recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic stay. The cottage was clean, cozy and as described. It’s in a peaceful location and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Host was responsive to our messages too. Best of all- dog friendly. Recommend for anyone travelling with a dog or just looking for a comfortable and quiet retreat.

Amazing stay in moonbah for our family skii trip. Richards house had everything that we needed, in a beautiful picturesque spot, super comfy beds, we would definitely visit again. Perfect place for older teens with the loft retreat, from Moonbah we explored Berridale, Dalgety and Jindabyne close to all amenities and 40 mins to Perisher. Thanks Richard for being a great host and we will miss your little fluffy highland 🐮

We had a wonderful weekend stay in Arthur's Cottage. It was so peaceful and quiet. The cottage is well appointed - the fire was delightful on the cold evenings; the bed was super comfortable; the kitchen had everything we needed; and the shower/bathroom was very modern. It is the perfect place for a quiet country escape. We loved that it was secluded. The Cudgewa pub is down the road (only open Fridays) and does fantastic meals. Marja was wonderful to deal with - great communication and so helpful. 10/10 - will definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely stay at the little house with my family. it was super close to thredbo and the town. we were lucky to have arrived in the middle of a snow storm. there was plenty of snow up in the mountains and it even snowed at the Airbnb. Prudence was a lovely and accommodating host. thank you!

We were after a cozy weekend away in the Riverina/Snowys foothills and Sally’s place was exactly that. We knew this was a pretty location but we were surprised by just how lovely the space was. A lot of care and nice touches added to our experience. Bacon, eggs, sourdough bread, cake, plenty of wood for the fire, condiments and preserves were all there. The cabin overlooks the stream & hills, with plenty of cows around- as well as kangaroos, birdlife, etc. easy to access, the drive from the road was nothing to worry about for my little sedan. All in all, we had a lovely 2 days & weren’t wanting for anything, despite the cold & windy weather. Also, surprisingly cheap for the experience we had. No wifi or phone coverage, but I wanted that. Loved it, keen to book again.

Super nice views of the lake, only 7-8 mins into the nearest town and close to Selwyn snowfields (which is why I chose to stay here). Careful driving in/out early/late at night, LOTS of animals on the roads (cool for my passengers!). Was provided a free loaf of super nice sourdough bread upon arrival (which I enjoyed!) The house was warm, and the host offered to restock the wood fire each day (it was winter) and it was lovely coming back to a super warm/toasty place. Beds were comfortable, although one of the 'rooms' is just a corner with a curtain so not super private but for a family it's fine. Host was super responsive and helpful. No wifi, which is described in the listing - but I had 0 Vodafone reception (Telstra was OK) so if this is important to you you should consider this. This did give my kids a chance to experience using a DVD player for the first time in their life! haha (great choice of movies). Would stay here again.

A beautiful place for a relaxed, warm and cosy getaway. Very dog friendly and we particularly appreciated the secure garden and deck area for Isla, the dog, to follow us around without being on a lead. The kitchen is well equipped and we prepared all of our meals, apart from one, in the cottage. Very nice to be able to walk around the property, which has lots of wildlife and bird species. Less than an hour to Bermagui with great fish and chips and off leash dog friendly beaches. The hosts live a short distance away on the property and were very responsive to questions via AirBnB messenger. The lovely home made bread and jams supplied were a nice treat. We will be back for another visit sometime.

truly a beautiful part of the world I cannot recommend it highly enough. the gracious hosts made us feel right at home and we were able to witness the true beauty of nature. snow fell, winds blew and the toasty fireplace kept us very warm. thank you for the magical weekend, we will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Osterley Cottage. It felt very homely with everything one could need! The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Lots of room to relax on the large Lounges. Dianne and Michael were great hosts. We look forward to staying again.

perfect location for our family getaway. Easy to walk to all local amenities but nestled in a quiet street. The fireplace really made our stay inviting and memorable.

It was our second time there so I’m afraid I don’t need to repeat that I fully recommend Veronica’s place! Beautiful house, beautiful surroundings, close to the town. It has all amenities you need! We hope we can come back next year!!
